Cling to you
"Lets see...I don't want anything scary because than I'll have to cling to you."
Taking her finger Cassy pokes one of the movies making it fall from the self in front of Leo with a clatter. Giving a laugh she moves on as she picks it up continuing to talk to her.
"I don't think I want anything to romantic because than I might cry"
Using her finger Cassy pokes another moves making it fall on the opposite side once again not being able to contain the laugh this time.
"How about Pirates of the Caribbean. Everyone likes that movie."
This time using two fingers Cassy pokes two of the movies off the shelf before looking around as they hit the floor with a bang. Than looking across as Leo once again she opens her eyes wide for a moment before letting them return to normal as she pursed her lips, but she eyes held the strong smile.
Genre
Opening his mouth to respond, Leo doesn't have a chance as the line moves and he's forced to pay and receive their food. He hands the bag over to Cassy and gets their drinks settled in the cup holders before getting back out onto the road. He takes the long route and wonders if she would even notice.
"Kinda hard when I really don't know what makes me happy anymore." Leo picks up right where they'd left off. "Everything just frustrates me at the moment."
Catching an unexpected red light, he slams on the breaks, the drinks teetering precariously out the edges of the cup holders. "Oh... forgot, we need to go pick up a movie." Turning on his blinker, he heads to the nearest movie rental place, leaving behind their conversation for now.
Letting the food stay in the car, he goes inside with Cassy, wandering the aisles, though letting her do the deciding. He'd meant it when he said she could pick - he'd watch anything she picked out, even if it wasn't his favorite genre. "Whatcha looking for tonight?" he asks, tilting his head to read the video spines. "Action? Drama? Romance? Comedy?" For now, the topic of movies was much more liked than the topic of himself.
How I
Closing her eyes for a moment Cassy stops and thinks.
"..and by the way your mark on my world is not you dropping a wrench. Its the work you are doing for me, and the dance I shared with you so long ago. Thats how I remember you."
Turning her head to look at Leo Cassy gives a soft smile, and she couldn't help the twinkle in her eye from frustration, but something about it just seemed to glimmer brighter.
"Do what makes you happy Leo because thats always whats important. Just makes sure its what you want, and you know it will make you happy. Sease the day and don't hesitate, jump forward and get what you want. Don't just sit and do nothing. Go out and makes yourself happy like you deserve."
I don't like
Trying to focus, he places their order and continues through the line. He does hear Cassy's quiet comment as he stops behind the other car, and his eyes drift over to look at her for a moment. "I got a handful of people who might admit the same thing," he counters. "One of them is Ryan. Unfortunately, she found something better. See... that's what it is with me." His tone grows a bit frustrated. "So people like me... maybe I'm just a nice guy, I don't know. But nothing I do gets me any further than I am right now. My mark on the world is just where I keep dropping my wrench instead of making something of myself. I'm just... me."
Sighing again, he leans his head against the window, reaching down to turn a little bit of air on. "I don't like me," he mumbles.
The way you are
Letting out another sigh and shaking her head Cassy felt so horrible knowing Leo was like this and there was nothing she could do to change it. Leo had a think skull this much Cassy had learned just for talking to him a short while.
"I'll take a number two med, with iced tea please."
Leaning back in the seat again Cassy looks out the window for a long moment before talking again. She liked Leo the way he was, she liked that he danced, and worked in an auto shop. She liked he was a klutz sometimes it made her feel like her own injury had someone to share with.
"I like you the way you are anyways....From day one I always liked you."
Cassy's voice was soft, she wasn't even sure if Leo would of herd her or not, not to mention even answer her. It was just how she felt, she liked Leo, he was different from Steve and she liked it. He helped fill an empty hole even if he wanted to be just friends he still filled something inside of her.
Grouch
"I don't know, Cass..." The nickname came out without him even realizing it. "After today, I'm thinking more along the lines of finding a new hobby... something different... something fresh."
After thinking a moment, he gives a short, dry laugh. "As if. Maybe I can make a hobby out of fixing toilets or something."
Finally making it through the drive thru line, he looks to Cassy with question. "What'll you have? My treat since I'm being a grouch."
Snob
"Maybe you guys need to talk without walking away, even if it gets heated. I just might be something you need to do to clear the air and help you move on."
Drawing silent again Cassy takes a moment to look at the menu as her brain continues to turn thinking about what else Leo had to say.
"Your mood could be affecting your preforming as well. If in a bad mood or sad it could keep your mind at bay from pulling out your true potential. Maybe if you practice with me we can get you to use your emotions in the dance, and draw out another strength. Your one of the best dancers I know and because some snob likes someone else should be no reason you lost a spot you deserve. We should show her up...I mean...you should anyways."
One too many
It only takes a few minutes to get into the line at the drive thru, and Leo stops behind another few cars. Leaning his elbow by the window, he rests his head on his curled hand, his other hand tapping lightly on the steering wheel. "I... had words with my ex." It sounded ridiculous, but he knew Cassy wouldn't mind him talking about it. "It wasn't bad, just... well, it was my fault. I guess I just haven't been able to let go."
His eyes bounce between the cars in front of him and the menu board. "Then I found out I'm at the bottom of the stack again down at Baxtor. One long nap later, I was late to pick you up, but my head feels like it got one too many kicks today."
If I didn't
"Why don't we grab some fast food and a movie in. I can tell your not in the mood to be out and thats ok."
Cocking her head a little to look him in the eye Cassy tried to read what was wrong but she couldn't. Maybe it really was one of those days, but she hated Leo thinking it bored her.
"You don't bore me Leo. If I hadn't of wanted to know what was wrong I wouldn't have asked. As for you apology, its ok I get like that too sometimes."
Apology
Hearing her question, he puts the car in gear and pulls out of the parking lot, not really wanting to answer her. He would lie to her though. But he need not go into details. "Yeah... just one of those days, I guess." He gives her a sidelong glance and half a tired smile. "I won't bore you with the details, but I'll apologize in advance if I'm not very good company tonight."
He stops at a red light and looks down the available streets. "So - where to eat?"
Alone
Going into the bathroom quickly to straighten her black shirt, and jeans Cassy puts on a little perfume before grabbing her light jacket and heading out the door. Her hair pulled back with a hairband, a few strands of hair still finding her face.
Still smiling and getting into the car Cassy gets a whiff of Leo's aftershave. She always loved what he worn, it smelled so nice and light.
"I was starting to think I'd eat alone tonight. I'm happy I waited for you. Everything ok?"
Studying Leo's face for a long moment Cassy wasnt sure if there was something behind his eyes, almost like a sad longing or if she was just imagining things.
Late
By the time Leo reached Baxtor Studio, he was halfway dry, though it still was obvious he'd been out in the rain. Dashing inside, he shakes off some of the water and runs his hand through his hair, looking around for some of the people he knew. Greeting a few, he heads down to the corner office where the bulletin board was. If he'd been here last night, he wouldn't have to check the listing, but he'd missed, so he was left to finding out himself. It always made his stomach queezy. He could have called Rich, but he hadn't wanted to bother. It was better just to find his name on the list and...
He sighs. Jerry got the leading role... again. Leo hadn't even gotten a good part in the play at all - he was so far down on the list, it would be a wonder if they even missed him if he didn't show up.
"Hey, Leo!" Joe gives him a hearty whack on the back. "Where were you last night? Janet made the final call. I almost gave you a ring."
"Nah." Leo shrugs. "Didn't matter much." He points to the list.
"Yeah..." Joe frowns a little. "I wasn't too happy about that."
"Jerry deserves it."
"He's no better than you are."
"Apparently he is," Leo counters. "I haven't had a leading role since Cassy was here."
Joe quirks an eyebrow. "Cassy... Cassy..."
"Cassy Howard. You know... brunette... about this tall." Leo motions with his hand. "Petite. Real pretty."
"Oh yeah!" Joe nods. "I remember now. That was that last time you had a lead?"
"Yep. Maybe it wasn't me after all."
"Hey." Joe gives Leo's arm a thump. "You usually don't care about the spotlight. I need not mention that in our last production you were second in line from the top, but besides that, what gives?"
"I don't know." Leo leans back against the wall and folds his arms. "Guess I'm just in a bad mood."
"I'll say." Joe smirks at him. "If it's 'cause of this though-"
"No, it's not," Leo cuts him off. "This isn't a surprise. I'm lucky to be on stage at all."
"Would you quit doing that?!"
"What?"
"Putting yourself down!" Joe sets his hands on his hips. "So Janet threw you in the backseat this time. She's got a thing for Jerry, we all know that. Doesn't mean you're any less deserving."
"Did you know that she got complaints about my role the last time?"
Joe's face falls. "What?"
"Yeah." Leo tries to smile a little. "She got complaints about me playing that part in the musical."
"From who?"
"It doesn't matter."
"Yes it does!"
"Look, some people just don't think I fit the bill!" Leo throws up his arms. "Regardless of my dancing, they don't like me, and they've got pull with Janet, so I might as well just run the lights and stay off the stage."
Joe's eyes narrow, though his anger wasn't towards Leo, but others. "You know you're a good dancer, right?"
Leo shrugs. "Whatever."
"No, I mean it. You're good. You're not the best, but who is? We're all learning here. I've been here ten years longer than you, and I'm still not where I wanna be. But you can't quit just because someone put you in the back seat. Your time will come."
"I'm not so sure of that." Leo shakes his head. He'd been right when talking to Cassy. He was a jack of all trades and a master of none. "Look, I gotta go."
"You be back for practice tomorrow... right?"
"Yeah, probably." Leo gives a short laugh. "That's what idiots do - they keep coming back for more."
"Leo, you're not an idiot!"
"Today... today, I think I am." Leo sighs. "Thanks, Joe. Glad you're on my side and I appreciate it. I'm just having a rough day. I'm sure I'll be back tomorrow night and I'll be glad to take any part Janet gives me. Just... don't make a big deal out of it, okay? I'd rather hide in the shadows on this one."
"Alright. Take it easy, okay? I'm worried about you."
"I'm fine." Leo pats Joe's shoulder. "I'll talk to you later."
"Can I call you tonight?"
Leo waves as he walks away. If Joe wanted to call him, he could. Getting back outside into the rain, Leo slides into his car and just sits for several long minutes. Was it just one of those days? Or was everything really falling apart? He'd been doing alright, he'd thought, but now he seemed to be back where he started all over again. Alone, feeling low and not knowing where he was headed. Would he ever figure out where his life was going? Maybe it was good that Ryan had dumped him. Maybe she knew he was a loser - better for her then.
Driving back to his apartment, he sacks out on his couch, face down in the cushions without bothering to change out of his wet clothes. By now, he needed to at least start getting ready to go over to Cassy's, but he just didn't feel like getting up yet...
Leo's eyes fly open and he blinks in his dim living room. Grunting a little he tries to right himself from the awkward position in which he'd fallen asleep. A cushion slides off the couch and he almost falls off with it. Sitting up, he runs his hands over his face sleepily. His hair had dried in every direction, and his eyes stung.
Stumbling to the bathroom, he splashes some water on his face, trying to wake up. He almost felt like he had a hangover. Making it back to the kitchen, he hunts for something to drink, downing some iced tea right from the pitcher, he aims for the living room again, flopping back down on his couch. Just as he's reaching for the television remote though, he remembers. Cassy.
Looking at the clock, he swears under his breath and stands up again, going right back to the bathroom, this time for a shower. He was going to be late.
A hot shower, clean clothes and a bit of aftershave later, Leo is skidding out the door and trotting to his car. He really didn't feel like going out tonight, but he felt even less like calling Cassy and canceling. He knew she'd been looking forward to food and a movie. He might be having a bad day but that didn't mean he had to make her day a bad one too.
Driving across town, he finds her apartment and parks, giving his horn one honk and waits. Fifteen minutes late wasn't too bad. He could have called, but what excuse would he have had? Better to just show up. He'd offered to drive so he wouldn't back out now.

What else to do...
Finally using her hand to whip her eyes Ryan was glad the rain was coming down. Someone wouldn't be able to tell she had been crying. Turning and heading back inside Ryan gives a shake to let the water drip off her and dry just a little.
Catching Axel's eyes again Ryan just shakes her head looking away. Everything was a mess and it was her fault, if only Alec really had run off with her maybe things would of been better off that way. She tried, tried talking to Leo and it hadn't of seemed to do any good. What else could she do? Disapearing to her work bench Ryan sits down with some paper work for the car she had been working on to fill it out.
If I could have
Ryan's final words strike down deep, and Leo stares at her through the rain, seeing that she was now getting soaked too. He hadn't meant to have this conversation... he hadn't meant to drag her out here in the rain, or upset her too.
"But if I could have changed who I was... I might not have lost you." His words were almost too quiet to hear through the rain. Holding up his arms, he lets them drop to his sides in defeat. He would never be the man Ryan wanted. They were just too different.
Turning around, Leo goes back into the garage, ignoring the strange looks from the other guys. Going to the car he'd been working on, he shuts the hood, done for the day. It wasn't scheduled to be done until tomorrow anyway.
Axel eyes the scene from his corner as he cleans a tool with his rag. He looks to Leo, then over to Ryan, wondering about the short confrontation. Nobody liked the tension that had been around the garage ever since those two had broken up, but Axel wished for their sake, more than for the others, that this issue would be resolved. Otherwise, he feared one of these days, Leo wouldn't be back to work here.
Never..
"Maybe yelling at me would make you feel a whole lot better?"
Ryan yelled to Leo through the rain, squinting to see him better as the rain feel only a tiny bit harder. Finally taking a few steps forward with a long sigh Ryan let the cool rain start to pelt her in the head too.
"Never stop and look before you jump Leo or your gonna let a lot of good better things pass you by. One of the best thinks about you is being spontaneous."
Feeling a warmth coming from her own eyes Ryan wasn't sure if it was the rain or maybe some of her own tears escaping. Not crying for herself but maybe for Leo because she still did care so much.
"Don't even change who you are Leo Barnsworth for anyone let alone a woman."
...and I can't.
Lowering his head, he looks at a nearby puddle that rippled as raindrops pelted it. No, he couldn't help the way he felt. He did feel like Ryan had walked on him, and yes, it was crappy to say the least. But he hated not talking too. He hated coming in to work just to face the tension in the air. He knew the other guys felt it too, but no one had been bold enough to say anything. So they just went on with their days as if everything was fine. But it wasn't.
After a long pause, Leo finally speaks again. His tone was quiet... subdued... so unlike himself. "I'm sorry too... I'm sorry that I just can't seem to let you go." Looking up, he purses his lips grimly, finally having voiced what he was really feeling. He shrugs lamely. "Maybe I hate myself for not being able to let go, more than I hate this stupid tension between us. I guess that's what a guy gets though, for jumping without looking first though, huh?" His words weren't angry, just defeated.
Reaching out a hand, he catches some raindrops, letting them roll through his palm, then plummet to the ground, now marred by the grime and grease they took with them. But it wasn't enough. Though he was known for being a bit quirky, his next move is odd even for him.
Stepping out into the rain, he stretches his arms to the side and tilts his head back to feel the rain beat against his face.
"Leo!" Ron calls from inside. "What on earth are you doing?"
Jed turns around, his eyes widening. "You crazy?"
Leo ignores them and just lets the cool rain wash over him. Eventually, he straightens, letting his arms fall as he looks back at Ryan, now gazing at her through a veil of rain. "I wanna yell at you... and I can't."
Sorry
"If I didn't care Leo I wouldn't be standing here asking if you were ok and I never said I wanted to ignore you, nor did I say I liked it but its what I thought you wanted so you could make it through the day."
Letting out a sigh and lowering her hands again Ryan gives a shrug. Another look pass in her eyes that showed she really did miss her friendship with Leo and maybe if someone had bother asking she would of told them so.
"To be perfectly honest I hate we don't talk anymore even if I don't show it. Sorry you feel as though I walked all over you. Has to be a crappy way to feel, and I wish you didn't, but I guess we can't help our feelings."
Letting out another sigh Ryan turns back to the outside. The rain still coming down forming pools of water, washing everything clean. How easy it would be if life could be like that. The rain could wash away the mistakes one made, or the harden dirt that kept two people from at least saying hi. It seemed so easy yet so hard.
Pity parties
Shifting his weight a little, he remains leaning against the door frame. It was strange to have her talk to him... they never talked anymore. There was always tension and Leo hated it, even though he pretended to ignore it.
"Yeah, I'm okay." He looks down at the ground and scuffs the toe of his boot on the edge of the concrete. He felt like he was lying.
"Maybe I'm just tired of feeling walked on... or maybe I'm tired of hating feeling walked on, I don't know." Sighing, he finally turns to lean his back against the frame and look Ryan square on. "I guess I don't even know who I am any more. Leonard Barnsworth, class clown, C student and klutz with a capital K. How far can someone like that go?" He shrugs. "Just feels like it isn't worth it anymore."
Giving a lame laugh, he shakes his head. "But you don't want to hear about that, do you? I think we got a handle on the whole 'ignore each other' thing pretty well, without me whining to you about my own pity parties."
Everything needed it
Coming up from the engine Ryan gives a satisfied sigh. She just had to change the carburetor flued and than this car would be gone and ready for pick up.
Whiping her hands off on her rag Ryan's eyes roam the garage catching sight of Axel Ryan's eyes follow his to where Leo was standing. Looking back to Axel Ryan can see the question in his eyes. Giving a shrug was her reply. Leo and herself hardly said two words to each other since everything went down. Ryan missed talking to him sure but maybe staying away was better than causing a fight.
Hearing the door open to the bedroom Libby still felt way to exhausted to open her eyes, though her heart started to race wondering who it was, and if everything was ok. Finally opening her eyes just a little bit Libby can see Ty. He must have just gotten home from work. Closing her eyes again as he leaves the room Libby drifts off to sleep again.
Being completely relaxed and lost in sleep Libby dosnt even hear the door to the bedroom open again but can smell the soap Ty had used as the bed moved a little him climbing in. Feeling his arm drape over her though Libby moves just a little snuggling in close to Ty feeling so safe. Bringing her one had to his arm her other hand locks with his own her fingers intertwining with his. Bringing his hand to her lips she gives it a kiss whispering softly.
"Welcome home."
Moving his hand down around her wast again she keeps her fingers with his again feeling so comfortable it wasn't long before she drifted to sleep again.
Closing the hood of the car she had finally finished Ryan looks around the shop again taking note to Leo still standing by the door. He looked so deep in thought today it did make her wonder what was on his mind, but it really her business anymore.
Wiping her hands on her rag and walking over to the door standing in the middle she wasnt so close to Leo, but not to far away ether. Not saying anything for a moment Ryan keeps looking out at the rain before she finally spoke.
"Doesn't look like the rain is going to stop anytime soon. I guess thats not a bad thing, everything needed the water before it got to dry and died."
Letting out a sigh and than taking a deep breath of the fresh air Ryan puts her hands in her jean pockets before turning slightly to Leo. Before they dated they were good friends and could joke. They talked to each other back then and could laugh could things really never go back to they? Would they hate each other forever?
"You've been standing over here quite a long time...I guess I just wanted to make sure you were ok."
Raincloud
Her question makes him shrug. "Um... how about supper? That way I can come do more work outside before hand. Hate to work afterward on a full stomach." He grins and polishes off his plate, sighing with satisfaction.
"Very good," he concludes. "Steve must've been crazier than I already thought."
Getting to his feet, he helps Cassy up too, then carries his plate to the counter. "I better get going... I'll swing by tomorrow about ten or so to work for a while. And... just for the record..." He makes sure all the tools are put away and he's got everything he needs to go home. "...you don't need to give me any form of payment, food or otherwise. I'm here 'cause I wanna help."
Aiming for the door, he turns a little though, giving her another grin. "Feel free to cook though - I won't complain." Then turning again, he heads out the door and to his car.
The next morning, the sun shone red behind the thin outskirts of a cloud bank, only to disappear soon after having risen over the horizon. It would remain hidden for the rest of the day as the clouds moved in, pouring rain as they passed slowly overhead. The cool wetness made for a damp chill in the air, a reminder that summer wasn't quite back yet.
Ty parks his bike in the garage and enters the house through the other door, dripping wet. It was no fun not being able to drive. He probably could have called someone, but he didn't like doing that either. Oh well, the bike ride felt good, even if he was soaking wet now.
Making his way down the hall, he enters his room then stops short, having completely forgotten that Libby was in here, and not out on the couch. Slowing down, he tries to be quiet, seeing she's still asleep. Then he heads to the bathroom to strip and shower. Throwing on some comfy sweatpants and a t-shirt, he runs a towel through his hair, though it's still a little damp. Back down the hall, he lets himself into his room quieter this time, and eases over to the bed, sitting down softly. He was glad Libby had gotten some sleep... she deserved it.
Totally exhausted from a very long night at work, Ty doesn't feel like making her move, nor does he want to go try and get comfortable on the couch either. He didn't want to startle Libby though.
Grabbing another blanket, he curls up behind Libby, pulling his own blanket up so he wouldn't invade her space under the covers. He does put his arm around her though and kisses the back of her head lightly before sighing deeply and closing his eyes.
Leo leans on the open garage door frame, looking out at the ran. The steady beat drummed on the metal roof of the auto shop, keeping a rhythm behind the clanking of tools and the periodic hum of engines.
He had been scheduled to have off today, but with the rain, he'd called and left Cassy a message - he couldn't work out in the rain, so he'd meet her later about six o'clock for supper. In the meantime, he had nothing to do, so he'd come in to work. Unfortunately, his mind was far from fixing cars.
Turning a little to look back over his shoulder, he sees Jed and Ron trying to figure out the problem with a pickup truck. In the other corner, Axel worked on another car - he'd been back to work more steadily lately, able to work more and more as his hand improved. And Ryan's bay was full this morning too. For a moment or two, Leo just watches her, until she comes up from the engine and he turns his gaze to look outside again, lest she see him watching her.
Darrel was gone today... Leo could get away with letting himself be pensive, though it was rare that he was, especially when here. When he was at home, sometimes he would take time to just sit and think... but not usually at work, or in public. Today though... something was different. Maybe it was just the rain. Maybe it was the gloom that made it feel like a raincloud was hanging over his heart. Maybe it was everything that had been on his mind since the evening before.
Axel glances up from his work to see Leo still standing at the open door. He'd been there for about fifteen minutes now, and he had yet to join in any laughter or joking with the others. It was very strange and it almost made Axel concerned.
Waiting to catch Ryan's eye, he gives her a look of question, glancing to Leo again, then back to Ryan, wondering if she knew what was up.
Cinnimon Twist
Seeing the gleam in Alec’s eye makes Ryan’s own grin grow a little. There was a change going on with him over the last few weeks. Not anything bad, or made him different than who he was now, but it was almost like he was becoming softer in some manors, yet he was the same Alec Ryan had grown and formed a close relationship with.
“You did say something that didn’t make sense, but that’s ok I thought it was kind of funny listing to you babble and tweaking Rick out.”
About to say something else Ryan can’t as she hears Alec words, and this his actions follow. The slight grin that had been on her face grows even more into the sassy smirk.
Wrapping her arms around Alec Ryan’s heart starts to race as she can feel her pulse moving faster than it had before being taken totally into the moment till Alec pulls away and she stands again. Shaking her head and looking down at him again Ryan cross her arms over her chest her eyes sparked with fire.
“And you think I’m the one trying to kill you? Ha! I think it goes both ways.”
Shaking her head again and regaining her composure Ryan is quiet for a few moments putting the straws into the cups and than handing Alec his and taking a sip of her own.
“Ok, yes food is good as well. Just don’t eat all the cinnamon twists on me.”
Watching Alec and Ryan from her desk Misty couldn’t help the smile that had formed on her own face. It was funny to see how they acted with each other knowing what seemed like forever ago now Carson and herself had been in that same position. It was different, but the same.
Looking down at the ring that was now on her finger Misty runs her thumb over it for a long moment. All the happy memories they had shared, and the sad that had lead to the good. Now they were married and happier than ever, Misty couldn’t think of life any different. Now she hoped Alec and Ryan would find the same happiness they looked so cute together.
Giving a smile and looking up at Ty Libby nods. She new she was safe here but still it couldn’t take away the feeling of nerves she felt in her stomach anyways. It would more than likely take a while for those feelings to go away.
“I’ll more than likely give you a call later just to say hi before I hit the sack or something.”
Standing and following Ty to the door Libby leans up to give him a kiss before he leaves. Giving a wave as he pulled out of the driveway Libby shuts the door behind her locking it before turning and heading into Ty’s room shutting that door behind her as well.
Looking around the room for a long moment Libby couldn’t help the small tear that escaped her eye. Going over to her bag Libby pulls out some paper and a pen bringing it over to the bed she curls up on it before starting to write some stuff down just anything to keep her mind busy. Soon though the emotions of the day take over, and being tired once again sets in as Libby was fast asleep curled under the blankets of Ty’s bed.
Sitting across from Leo Cassy was happy he was enjoying the meal. Sometimes her taste in cooking was different than most people adding spices that were different, so she wasn’t always sure if Leo would like it to not. But getting his conformation that he did made her feel good.
“I use to cook a lot in my younger years. Once I got into dancing heavy though I stopped not having much time. Not to mention Steve didn’t like my cooking all that much. Now though I have all the time in the world to cook, and a good reason because you can share it with me.”
Cassy’s eyes give a twinkle as she holds her own little plate looking up at Leo. It was nice cooking again.
“There is no point in making a meal like this when it’s only me eating it. I won’t eat it all, and I hate throwing food away. So knowing you will eat it and you like it, is a good reason. I think its one of the best ways to pay you for the work your doing anyways.”
Taking a sip of her water Cassy looks down at her plate again breaking her gaze from Leo. It was nice eating with someone again too, but she though it best to keep that one to herself. The last thing she wanted to do was make Leo uncomfortable like she had before when asking him to the movies.
Letting out a small sigh and whipping her mouth with her napkin Cassy looks back up at Leo again. Her eyes searching his face for a long moment as he sat enjoying his food. Just watching him enjoying the silence for a long moment before finally speaking again.
“So what time do you think we should do the food and movie? A lunch thing or a dinner thing? Either is fine with me.”

Silly gleam
He swings his head around to see Misty walk away, then looks back to Ryan, tossing her a wink. "Thanks for coming back." His ankle was starting to hurt again, so the distraction would be nice.
"I think I mighta said some things a while ago that didn't make much sense." He bites his lip, as something rare flashes in his eye - a silly gleam. Was it still the affects of the medication, or was it a genuine stab at humor?
Glancing at the food and movies, he quirks an eyebrow. "Action movies, huh? I could go for some action." Reaching over, he grabs her jacket to yank her down to his level, his lips curling into a sly grin. "We can't let the actors have all the fun." Pressing his lips to hers, he lets a long kiss linger before letting her straighten up again. "Food sounds good too though."
Ty grins a little as he finishes his pizza and nods. "Thanks." He didn't know what he was going to do... if he'd just let things lie or actually go to Rick, and if he did, whether he'd have Libby there with him or not.
Wiping his hands on a napkin, he downs the rest of his drink and stands up. "Well... back to the grindstone." It was obvious that he didn't want to talk about himself any longer, and he did need to get to work now. He was tired, running on only a little bit of sleep, but it would have to do.
After putting his dishes in the sink, he wanders back by the table, leaning down to give Libby a kiss on her head. "Wyatt will be home soon so you won't be alone for long. You're safe here. But I'm just a call away."
"Ah..." Leo shifts his tools in his hands for a moment, studying the sidewalk before looking back up to Cassy once more. Pot roast... she'd brought for him...
"Um... okay." She was just being nice like always. Leo nods. "I guess I am kinda hungry." He grins a little. "Getting too dim to work out here anyway, so I suppose it's quitting time. I'll stick around for a little while."
And he did. After getting everything put away and cleaned up, he found himself sitting on the dance floor that he insisted was more comfortable than the table in the back room. So with legs stretched out and plate in hand, he enjoys the supper Cassy had warmed up.
"Mm... this is good," he compliments. The meat seemed to just melt in his mouth. "I didn't know you could cook like this."
Dessert
"I understand what your saying but what if whats wrong can be fixed and you do nothing? Than your selling yourself short for the great things you can do out there. Driving, a better job, reading...I don't want you to miss out on those things."
Giving a smile she did care so much about everything that Ty was miss, though she didn't want to bush him, and she didn't care about him any less because he couldn't read she only new how much it bothered him and hated seeing him like that.
"I can be there you when you ask if you want, its the most I can do for you."
Cassy rolls her eyes at Leo before putting her hands on her hips and just looking at him. He new good and well she had nothing else to do.
"If I had something else to do I'd tell you and if I did I'd probably just end up dragging you along so we could come here after anyways."
Giving a light tap to the ladder Cassy giggles again to the though to pulling Leo by the arm and him following. To her it was kind of a silly picture. Smiling again and giving another nod of satisfaction Cassy sets the image aside.
"Well whenever your done out here I brought some left over pot roast I made last night for you and I can warm it up so you have something nice to eat."
Hearing Alec's voice Misty stands and goes over to the bed giving a smile. Checking everything over quickly to make sure he was doing ok she gives a small nod.
"Its still today. You were only asleep for about a half hour. Fell asleep right after Ryan left. Here hand some water."
As if almost knowing she was being talked about Ryan appears in the doorway carrying a bad of Long John Silvers. Giving a grin and a half wave Ryan comes over to Alec and Misty.
"Sorry it took so long, I really didn't know what I wanted all I could think of was dessert."
Ryan gives a wink at Alec before setting the bag down on the little table and pulling everything out.
"So I got some fish and a few other things we can just kind of pick from. I also got a few action movies to watch."
Knowing Ryan was back and they would want there time together Misty gives a smile and wonders back over to her desk to sit down again and work a little more before going home to Carson.
Still today?
He scoffs a little at himself, giving her a silly grin. "Stupid, I know. I guess I'm just..." He shrugs again and takes another bite of pizza.
"I'm afraid he's gonna tell me it's something that can't be fixed. Or I really do have some reading problem that's permanent. Or something. I don't know."
Leo's smile widens and he nods. "Okay. I never pass up fun and food either." He gestures to the building. "I still wanna come early and work on this though - take advantage of my day off, or else this'll never get done."
He picks up the few tools he had and looks back at Cassy. "Unless you don't want me to since you have to be here to open up whenever I come. I don't want it interfering with your other plans either."
Alec opens his eyes. Had he fallen asleep? He must have. Misty was surely glad of that. He furrows his brow. Why had she wanted him asleep anyway? And where was Ryan? She'd gone for food, right? Oh, and a movie or something... maybe? He couldn't quite remember.
Sitting up a little bit, he looks a the clock. He couldn't have been a sleep for more than twenty minutes. He felt kinda fuzzy still. Had he been talking a lot? He wasn't sure. "Misty?" he mumbles, "Is it still today, or is it the day after yet?"

Rebound
A small glint passes through Cassy's eye and is gone as fast as it came. She understood what Leo was trying to say even if it still hurt for just a moment.
Giving a smile and recovering Cassy gives a nod. At least happy this was out of the way now.
"I still loved movies, and I got to eat so of course I haven't changed my mind."
Maybe it really was best like this anyways. She's just become single herself and it would be horrible to rune a friendship if this was only a rebound.
"If there is a note on the food, don't eat it. I think I can handle that."
Following Ty to the table as he sat down Libby took a sip of her juice. Thinking for a moment about Ty, comment about watching to get somewhere higher in TJY for a moment she takes the topic of her, and brings it back to Ty once again.
"Have you thought more about seeing Rick? I'd like to see you reach your goals and not just settle for the bottom. You deserve more."
Giving a smile to Ty though her face was messed up, her eyes still sparkled for a moment really proving her words were true. She'd love to see Ty go somewhere higher in TJY.
Changed your mind
Leading her to the kitchen, he head to the cupboard over the sink. "Right side is glasses..." He opens the cupboard to show her. "And... left side is plates. Silverware is down in this drawer here..." He pulls it open, then shuts it again. "I want you to feel free to get whatever you need or want while you're here, okay? The only time there's food that's off limits is when Wyatt brings home leftovers or something that he's saving for lunch the next day, or sometimes he's a turd and doesn't want to share what Aerith has fixed."
Ty grins and opens up the refrigerator. "If that's the case, he puts a note on it so it's obvious, 'cause he knows I'll scrounge up anything when I'm hungry and I'm always hungry."
Chuckling, he points to the bottles of pop and pitchers of ice tea or juice. "Wyatt keeps us stocked up, so whatever you want to drink is here. And...." He reaches in for the small pizza box. "This is my beloved leftovers."
It's only a few minutes before he's settled at the kitchen table to eat across from Libby. "Need anything later, just call TJY, okay?"
Leo hadn't meant to make Cassy backtrack, but maybe it was for the best. He liked her company, he really did. It was just...
Sighing a little, he finally climbs down the ladder, giving up on the outside project for tonight. "Maybe... just sticking with the friends thing would be good." He manages a smile, not wanting to make Cassy feel bad. Unfortunately, this conversation was inevitable. He wasn't in a relationship, she wasn't in a relationship, and they were spending a lot of time together. It was only natural that this would come up at some point. It didn't make it any less awkward though.
Getting to the ground, he stands in front of her, looking down at her sunlit face. "I'm just... not ready for anything else yet, Cass. It's not you though..." He quirks another little smile. "I like spending time over here. It's just..." He shrugs lamely. "I think you know what I'm trying to say." He reaches out to tuck a stray lock of hair behind her ear. "I like being friends with you and right now... I think that's all I can handle... if it's okay with you. I still wanna do dinner and movie though... unless you've changed your mind."
If you really dont wanna
"I could use something to drink. I've been kind of thirst since I got here but I was comfortable on the couch to say anything to you."
Trying to give the best smile she could Libby steps a little closer to Ty taking his hand in hers. Right now she just liked feeling him extra close to her. It just felt nice having him there and so close.
Thinking for a moment Cassy gives a little shrug. She wasn't even sure herself what was playing but she defiantly felt like seeing something funny maybe and there was always at least one funny moving playing.
"Well down in the Desmon Plaza, they have the dollar movies. They are a few years old but are still some good ones. I'm kind of in the mood for something funny."
Searching Leo's face for a long moment Cassy can see the hesitance behind his eyes. It was kind of discouraging through she couldn't blame him. They both got out of rough relationships, she just thought she'd take a stab in the dark.
"Or....if you don't really wanna call it a date...it can be a friend thing only."
Its not that Cassy didn't have confidence that she made the comment but only that she didnt want Leo to feel uncomfortable.
Food and movies
He thumbs to the door. "Got some leftover pizza from Mom and Pop's in the fridge to warm up... do you want anything?"
Movie... and dinner. Leo chews on the inside of his lower lip as he thinks, fiddling with the paint scraper. "Um, well... I like food and movies." He laughs a little and shrugs, though his eyes stay glued to the tool in his hand. Why he was stalling, he wasn't even sure. "I don't even know what movies are playing. Which did you have in mind?"
Good time
Continuing to smile Cassy thinks again before speaking again. Friendship or a date...someone could have a date as friends right? Cassy didnt want to scare Leo away, but...maybe she wouldn't?
"Well...I guess maybe...it could be a date. Dinner, a movie, just have a night time out together."
Cassy felt so shy, it had been a long time since she had asked someone to go out somewhere with her. Her heart thumped waiting for the answer, worst could happen is he said no, but maybe that would hurt even more.
Or...
Picking some paint from under his fingernails, he waits a few moments, mulling it over in his mind. "Movie, huh? Like... noontime, friend with a friend thing or... evening date thing?"
His eyes finally find hers again, his question lingering. He really did want to know what she meant.
Maybe
Thinking for a moment Cassy plays with a twist tie in her hand she had found laying on the counter inside. She was trying to decided if she wanted to ask or not feeling slightly silly, even though she didn't know why.
"No I think I'll let you have to day off tomorrow."
Cassy's lips turn up in a smile.
"Maybe...would you like to see a movie tomorrow?"
Helping Ty bring some of her stuff inside she only grabs whats really important. Personal items, cloths and a few books to read. Tucking them onto of the corners of his room so they would be out of the way.
"Yeah I will probably just spend the whole in here or reading. I'll feel strange if I sat out with Wyatt."
She'd probably stay hidden for more than one reason. She didn't feel like to many people seeing her like this anyways. Keeping to herself and even maybe the quiet would be good. Though she did wish Ty didn't have to go.
"Your bed does look comfy too. I'll probley sack out again."
Just eyeing Ty's room this was the first time she has seen it and she was just taking everything in. She liked it, though it was a boys from her own hadn't been to girly.
"What time do you have to leave?"
Unless there's something else
He scrapes more paint, accomplishing a large portion of trim above the doors before the sun starts sinking any lower. When Cassy comes back out, he's still on the ladder, knocking off some of the rotten trim to replace.
Looking down at her, he shrugs at her question. "Don't have to work since I didn't get today off like I was supposed to. Figure I'd come finish this job here, unless there's something else you need me to do."
Ty finally sits up as well, next to Libby and he nods. "Wyatt will be fine with this. He's got a big heart, ya know? I know he won't mind you staying here 'til we find a more permanent solution."
Standing up and stretching, he yawns again, feeling way too tired to go to work but knowing he had to. Meandering to the door he slips his shoes back on and the next ten minutes are spent bringing in a few of Libby's necessary items and putting the truck in the garage.
Once back inside, Ty leads the way to his bedroom and he realizes that he doesn't think she's been back here before. Opening the door, he motions her in, setting a couple of her boxes down. His room was obviously a guy's room but even so, it was kept fairly neat. A few posters of musicians or bands were on the walls, and his calendar was one of sports cars. Electronics lay here and there, and his small desk in the corner had something that resembled a small engine on it, that he was apparently tinkering with or trying to fix.
Ty gestures to the bed. "Feel free... I won't be here all night and you might as well have a bed rather than the couch, 'specially if Wyatt's out there watching tv or something."
4/8/10
Plans
"If I build it they will come...thats something right out of that baseball movie. Its a good movie."
Turning a little to walk back inside Cassy stops again looking up at Leo from under the ladder.
"Hey...maybe you can bring some fliers at you work in the waiting area for people to see. That would be helpful."
Giving a smile she new Leo would think about it first and than let her know if he would or not. Though she didnt think there would be a problem with it.
Slipping inside for a moment to put the glass back Cassy comes out once again. Standing a little closer to the ladder this time so she could hear Leo better.
"Do you have any plans tomorrow?"
Shifting around a little but not moving from Ty's lap he was so comfortable she hated having to move.
"Do you have to work tonight? I'm super comfortable."
Finally and a little groggy Libby sits up and slides to the edge of the couch. Her face was flush still showing her stress but the little bit of sleep had helped.
"Wyatt's gonna be ok with me here for a while..right? I don't want to impose or anything."
They'll come
Feeling her fingers run over his, he just pauses a moment, swallowing hard, then finally draws away, letting her keep the glass. "I think, um... the eves are calling me. Maybe I can get all the paint off before the sun sets."
Backing away a little, he picks up his tool again, fiddling with it in his hand. "So..." He climbs the ladder again, starting back to work. "...No calls yet, huh? I bet they'll come."
Ty murmurs and stretches a little, groaning softly as he sees what time it was. He needed to get up and get some supper before going in to work.
Feeling Libby still with him, he runs his hand through her hair, not realizing how much he liked her lying here with him... it was so comfortable... so warm.
"Hey," he croons softly. "I gotta get up... you can sack out in my bed if you want."
Faint
"Ha, I think its kind of ironic, the first business I am gonna have in my studio, is someone helping me..."
Going to take the glass from Leo and feeling his fingers brush hers Cassy stops for a moment letting her hand linger. Moving her fingers a slights she lets the one run over his finger for a moment. There was that feeling again. Faint, but it was still there non the less.
Looking up at Leo a little color comes to her own cheeks as she smiles at him, her eyes giving a twinkle in the sun light biting her lip a little..
"...not that I mind. Its nice having you around."
Hours
Taking another sip of lemonade, he clears his throat again, one hand in his pocket as he looks at the ground. How little time had passed since he'd felt happy. And now... he just wasn't sure.
"Well, I'm glad I've been able to help at least this far... it's given me something to do, other than visiting the bar stool." Things at the shop weren't so bad lately... he didn't talk to Ryan much... he kept to himself most of the time now, and she was gone most lunch breaks any more.
Looking back to Cassy, he brings himself back around to be on topic. "Uh, well... I guess if you keep having stuff for me to do or... you wanna dance more or something..." He shrugs and hands his now-empty glass back to her, his fingers brushing hers. "My hours aren't changing that I know of."
The way you move...
Once Leo comes down Cassy nods to the other chair. It was so nice out and there was a slight breeze if Leo wanted to come and sit for a little bit and catch his breath he was more than welcome to.
Thinking on his question Cassy wonders herself if she would be busy or not. There were always a lot of the studio's around but one more couldn't hurt. Would she get the people she needed?
"I'm not sure if I will be busy or not. I've started getting fryers out but so far no ones called me for more information. But even when I do get more people, I am going to have Friday, Saturday and Sundays off. I can still have time to practice myself and spend time with my friend. I mean if he's not busy himself."
Giving a smile Cassy new Leo would know he was talking about him. They saw each other about every few days now and she really had enjoyed his friendship. It was nice having someone to call and to look forward to seeing. She'd hate to break that just because there was no more work. Who knows maybe even after he could still help.
"Mmm...this is an idea thats starts to form. My dream will be getting on the dance floor again. I guess we can all have more than one dream though right?"
Dancing was her life and her passion to be out on the floor again, it was her dream to give her soul to dancing again, putting all her feeling and emotions into it. But Leo was right this was a dream as well. Helping others to feel the joy she found in dancing while she couldn't right now.
"Maybe..when your done fixing everything you can help me practice more? I always did like the way you moved, and today you proved you have gotten even better!"
Slice of your dream
Pausing a moment, he leans on the ladder and looks down at Cassy. "Something about a dance floor though... I guess it's my getaway. The audience just... fades away." He chuckles. "And here, nobody's watching me work but you, so I can pretend I know what I'm doing and get away with it."
Turning back to his scraping, he falls silence for a little while. Maybe he was more confident than he used to be... he felt different than he had a while back. More... he didn't know what it was. Maybe less klutziness came along with him being a little less happy-go-lucky.
After growing thirsty, Leo takes a break and eases down the ladder, leaning back against the wall of the building, and accepting some lemonade. "Mm... you're a genius. Good stuff."
Sighing, he cocks his head at Cassy. "So... after this place doesn't have any more to fix, you'll get nice and busy with clients, huh?" He didn't really know what he was asking, and taps his finger on his cup absentmindedly. "Sounds like you're gonna get a slice of your dream."
With a friend
Shaking her head and staring at Alec for a long moment Misty just can't believe him. He was totally wired and it was humorous but she could see why Rick was going crazy. Maybe after he has something to eat He'd feel a little better.
Exiting the studio a nice blue scoop neck shirt on and a pare of jeans Cassy holds two glass of the lemon aid her hand over the top so paint chips don't get into the drink. Ambling for the chair that had already been placed outside she sets the glass down at the little table.
"It doesn't looks like it will be to hard to fix that."
Cassy squints up in the sun light at Leo giving a smile. It defiantly was a nice day out for doing something like this.
"So I still think your a naturel at being my fit it. You really have helped me a lot."
Cassy gives a little laugh sitting down letting the sun light wash over her. Its felt so nice to be out enjoying the weather with a friend.
Dave
Flopping onto his back again, he gives Misty a little wave. "Have fun, hott stuff. Just don't... mind me."
Finally closing his eyes, he lets his head settle back in the pillow and he yawns. "Tell Dave I'll talk to him later."
"Mm... lemonade sounds good." Leo grins and nods, heading back over to the tools. "Alright... see you outside."
Pausing at the counter, he watches Cassy leave, his eyes lingering on the empty doorway for a moment. Sighing, he picks up the tools he wants and heads outside. Arriving on the sidewalk, he looks up to the eves above the door. Looked like it needed the old paint scrapped, a few new nails and some new paint. He didn't think it looked like it needed any new wood so it shouldn't be too hard of a job.
Fetching the ladder, he sets to work, climbing up so he can reach above the doorway. Starting to scrape off the paint, chips and flakes flutter down to the ground. A little sweat forms on his brow as the setting sun bathes the building in a warm glow.
Strap down
A twinkle shown in Misty's eye. She new he didn't mean to be like this right now it was just the medication but if she could get him to calm down at all that would be great.
"You can ramble and talk to me all you like I don't mind just lay back and sit still for a little bit. The drugs should be wearing off soon."
Giving a smile and taking a few steps back from Leo Cassy gives a nod. Every very grateful for all the help and hard work Leo was putting into this place with her.
"I'd help but I think today my leg is stilling me no more. So I'll pull a chair out and at least sit so you have someone to talk to. I brought some fresh Lemon Aid with me to so that you have something to drink as well."
Taking another sip of her own water and grabbing her bag Cassy gives a smile to Leo before turning to head for the bathroom.
"I'm just going to change up, I'll be out in a moment."
Don't mind
A silly smile creases his lips. His brain knew good and well that there was no chance of anything here, but his mouth just wouldn't stop. He'd be frustrated if he really didn't seem to mind much at all at the moment.
Leo lets his arms drop too, looking back at Cassy and seeing a soft look in her eye. It was... warm... gentle... almost hopeful of... something.
He swallows hard and manages a crooked grin. "You're welcome. I don't mind dancing, you know that." He laughs a little then clears his throat. "I guess the eves are waiting. I'll, um... get started on that."
Pitter Patter
Following Leo's lead and adding in her own moves she wanted to practice Cassy did them less than smoothly but to the best of her ability with her knee. Even if it wasn't great right now, it was better that what most people would try or do.
The smile that held on Cassy's face was one that though she was in a little pain she was enjoying herself, having a nice time and so thankful Leo was there.
Feeling Leo's hands go to her wast is was only natural to take the pose to be picked up. Being ready, and straight but not complete dead weight making sure she kept it right so Leo wouldn't get hurt. Cassy's eyes seeming to find Leo's, the twinkled and sparkled as she looked back into his searching them, thanking him. She just relized how blue they were were, being this close to him now, and how much life of his own sparked in them.
As the music fade, and the stops Cassy just stands there a few moment's longer holding Leo. For some reason she didn't want to let go yet, not yet. Finally feeling silly though she let her hands fall to her side trying to ignore the little pitter patter her heart felt.
"Thank you Leo, I might end up using you more often. It's always nice to have a dance partner. Not to mention one as good as yourself. and in my position it makes it a little easier as well. So thank you...for catching me."
Looking up at Alec and giving a slight nod of her head she could see why he hated dogs. They could be mean little suckers and she'd rather not deal with that herself.
"I guess if I got attacked everyday I'd have a pretty good fear of dogs too. I have two farrits. They work good for me. Small, can cuddle, I can take them on a leash if I want they don't ever bit bit if they do its not hard."
Misty gives another laugh quirking an eyebrow at Alec. She remembered when Carson was on pain meds..Alec was ten times worse. Standing and going over to him she puts a hand on his shoulder.
"Would you lay down before you fall down. Your swaying all over the bed. Last thing I want is for you to be a big heap on the floor."
Proud
He grows solemn again and shakes his head. "Hate 'em ya know. Ever since I's little. I's only six years old, but I remember it. Had to go to the hospital and everything after that neighbor's dog attacked me." He grimaces. "It was kinda nasty."
Leo smiles as Cassy takes his hands and he backs up onto the floor. "Yes."
Hearing the music that was still playing from her earlier practice, Leo starts to sway a little, then begins to dance slowly with her. He could do a lot more, but he didn't, just letting Cassy do her best as he stayed close, always keeping at least one hand in hers. Though taking the lead for speed and style, he let her fill in whatever she wanted.
Slowly turning and spinning around, their movements were reflected in the mirrors. Leo wasn't in his preferred attire for dancing, but since the new floor wasn't down yet, his sneakers would suffice, and his jeans kept him from doing anything too crazy.
Watching Cassy as she spun slowly under his hand, he smiles at her. It was good to see her so determined to keep dancing. In a way, he was proud of her.
As the music builds, he ventures some stronger moves, careful not to push Cassy too far. And with the rise in music, Leo's hands move to her waist to pick her up as he turns, never breaking eye contact as he slowly spins then ever so gently sets her down once more. And the music begins to fade.
Catch me
"Ok well you sit with you darling sister in law, I'll get good and some movies and we can just cuddle. ok?...ok good. I'll be back."
Shaking her head as she stands once again Ryan throws an extra look to Misty with a smirk.
"Keep him in line while I'm gone."
Once Ryan is gone Misty looks over to Alec on the cot and lets out a long sigh. He did act just like Carson. Must run in the banks genes.
"So...whats your girlfriend huh? She seems pretty nice. A wildcat so that fits you."
Looking down at Leo's hands for a long moment she contemplated his offer. It could be good for her but at the same thing she didn't want to her him by being a little still with her legs.
"You would have to lead, or I can just do some of my moves and you can add to it if you wanted."
Finally letting her hands fall into Leo's she looks up as him and gives a smile and a nod. He new what he was doing they had danced before, long time ago but they had and it was the best show out there. She new he would let her fall to hard.
"Are you really going to catch me if I fall?"
Problem is...
"I don't know... whatever... anything... everything." His grin returns. "I don't have as many rules here as the couch, ya know."
"Ahhh." Now Leo understood. He could tell that Cassy was taking her little mishap harder than she was showing. "Well... the problem isn't your knee, ya know."
Rummaging a little more, Leo finally produces the scraper he was looking for. But instead of heading outside, he sets the tools on the counter instead. Looking at Cassy, he offers both of his hands. "The problem is, that there's no one there to catch you."
4/7/10
Yes
Turning her attachen back to Alec Ryan thinks for a long moment on his question. Trying her best to hold in the chuckles that wanted to come out with how he sounded.
"Mmm...Yes I have. After I was shot, and woke up..they gave me pain killers through and iv. You think your flying now, hold crap. I understand."
Thinking for a moment on what the could do here tonight Ryan ran a few differnt things through her mind before letting Alec in.
"So what do you wanna do tonight? Want me to go grab food...want me to get any movies, or bring in my dad's card. What would Alec like to do?"
Leaning on the wall and just watching Leo head to the tool box she found it funny but she liked the way he clanked them around on the inside. Silly yes but true.
Hearing his question Cassy thinks for a long moment before finally answering.
"I was trying to practice before you got here and...I twisted my knee the wrong way. It's just really frustrating sometimes."
Cassy gives a warm smile swiping her eyes.
"Other than that I think everything is good. I got you here fixing stuff after all."
