Seeing Dan approach, Mick gains a bit of hope. Maybe he had some information.
Following Dan outside, he does feel just a little leery. Why did they need to leave the dining hall? Out on the porch, Mick stops and receives Dan's information. For a moment, all he can do is look at Dan, his eyes going wide. Dylan had left? With a truck?
The shock very quickly evolves into anger and Mick's surprised eyes now blaze. "He what?!" Glaring at Dan, he just cannot understand. "Why didn't you stop him?? And for pity's sake, why didn't you come tell me?!" Spinning around, he paces in a small circle, trying to calm down and figure this out, but he was so angry. "Are you out of your mind, letting him go like that? And even if you couldn't have stopped him, what ever possessed you not to let me know?!"
From inside, no one could hear exactly what was being said, but everyone could hear Mick's raised voice. Jade tenses, not knowing what was going on. What had Dan had to say that he wouldn't say in here? Did he know something about her brother? She was worried about Dylan too, ever since yesterday. But why as her father so upset now? She looks around the room to find no one else knew what was going on either, but they all knew it wasn't appropriate to go find out yet.
Wyatt chuckles and returns Aerith's kiss, tightening his arms around her and just holding her, letting his affection show. Pulling back just a little, he grins. "You make my world as bright as the sun, even at one in the morning."
Loosening his grip, he gives a contented sigh. "Even so, I should probably get home. I'll let you get back to bed and me... well, by the time I get home, I'll be ready to crawl into bed, too." Giving her one last light kiss, he stands up. "Thanks for the coffee... and the chat."
Looking down at Aerith, something new sparked in his eyes. But only he knew what it was.
Scott scratches Domino behind her ears and under her chin, satisfying her for now. As he gives her attention he still looks back at Hope. Her offer to spend time with him tomorrow was a little surprising. A part of him wanted to jump at the chance... and a part of him was... scared.
He glances down at his camera again, then back up at Hope. He had really hoped he wouldn't have to get to this topic tonight... not the first time they saw each other. But there wasn't much way around it now - not unless he wanted to continue feeling awkward.
Clearing his throat, he nods. "I... I'd like that. A lot. I just..." He bites his lip. He'd changed, but not so much that Hope wouldn't be able to read him and he knew it. He knew she'd see the fear in his eyes. "I don't know how to... I mean... after my letter..."
He sighs, his shoulders dropping. He just needed to say it. "I don't know...where you and I stand. After everything, I... I've missed you a lot, I just... I don't know how much I can handle yet. Are...are you okay with... with just being friends?"
