Helping Scott back up into his bed Hope keeps close by sitting on the edge of the bed. She wasn't ready to go to back to her chair, staying close could be her only option for keeping Scott ok through the night.
Hearing his request to stay with him Hope was happy he had asked so she didn't have to make him feel worse by just doing it.
"Of course I will stay with you. As long as you need me to I will and than some."
Slipping onto the bed behind Scott Hope wraps her arm over top of him and than tucks her hand under the front of him so she had him in a nice hug close to her. Her other arm going under the pillow and her head just stroking Scott's hair still.
She was here for him, and would stay awake as long as she could for him, thought soon the night would take over and Hope's eyes would close still holding Scott the night would drone on.
As the skys start to grow dark Scarlet lets out a low sigh. If only the fire words could of last forever the moments now had been so preshies, and felt so nice to just enjoy them with someone else.
Looking over at Eli Scarlet gives a smile before standing and stretching her arms high into the sky. She had been sitting in one spot for so long everything had gone still though she wouldn't have tried it for anything.
"Parting is such sweet sarrow or so my friend Shakespeare likes to say, and..I think he got it right."
Smiling again Scarlet's eyes twinkle in the star light as she wraps her arms around herself again. Looking down to Eli again taking him in a few last moments before the parted ways.
"I'll see you again soon?"
4/3/10
Goodnight
Scott finally begins to relax with Hope's soothing touch and voice. His hand slowly releases hers from his vice grip and his pulse begins to slow. Tomorrow... Dr. Hawks... tomorrow...
His eyes snap open again. He was falling asleep but he had just enough sense left to know he was on the floor and that was no place to sleep. Shifting a little, he eventually musters up enough strength to pull himself back up onto his bed with Hope's help. Lying curled on his side in the dark though, he didn't want to face another nightmare... If he was alone, there was a chance he might not wake up again, and it was too terrifying for him to take that chance.
Finding Hope's hand, he whispers hoarsely. "Stay with me?" He knew she'd stay nearby anyway, but it was the empty half of the bed he was referring to. He needed her tonight and for the first time, he was willing to admit it. He didn't want her to let go of him.

Eli smiles and pulls Scarlet with him back over to the rock again. This time he stretches out on his side so Scarlet can sit in front of him and use his torso as a backrest, while his one arm could stay slightly tucked around her. His other elbow is kept busy propping himself up, his head resting in his hand as he faces the fireworks.
Red, blue, gold, green, purple... every color imaginable bursts through the night sky. Rockets whistled through the air and exploded in splendor. But all too soon, the finale was over, and the sky grows quiet once again. Now the only lights in the sky were stars, and the only sounds were distant motors and a faint chirp of a cricket.
Eli sighs deeply, wishing the show would have lasted a while longer. "Well..." his one hand pats Scarlet's arm. "Looks like the show's over. Guess this is where we say goodnight."
Releaf
The smile growing a little on her face at his comment Scarlet leans her head into his hand again as he tucks her hair behind her ear. Turning her head just a little to place a soft kiss on his hand before looking up into his eyes again.
Feeling Eli's hand in her own Scarlet's fingers wrap around his. It was a perfect fit, not leaving any space, or cramping her hand, there fingers just connected perfect.
"As long as your going to stay too, I'd like very much to stay with you too."
Everything just seemed to come together, rough and soft Eli balanced them out well. Knowing when to have each show. Eli was special one of a kind, and Scarlet was happy to be here in this moment.
Eli's question going unanswered for now. There was more to her than anyone could really see on the outside but that could be left for another time. As of now, she just wanted to enjoy there moment.
Giving a small smile at Scott's direction about Domino she nodded in the dark. Even if she did know that she was happy Scott mentioned it. It was his Dog and that he was taking in interest in her was a great thing.
"I will deffintly remember a toy and a leash for her. She's going to be so excited to come and see you."
Leaning her head back on the bed Hope continues to hold Scott not minding at all as she hand her hand through his hair, and lightly over his eyes, and the side of his face in a soothing manor. Hearing his words of love put a smile on Hope's face, and she sent her heart flutter even with the events that had just happened it was nice to hear.
"I love you Scott."
His words that follow as well send another emotion though, almost like a releaf. Scott was finally admitting he needed help and Hope was happy for that. It would make helping him so much easier.
"Don't worry Scott, you wont have to deal with this much longer. Tomorrow I will talk to Dr. Hawks and let him know your ready. Everything is going to be ok, I promise."

Wanna stay?
Having the kiss returned, Eli enjoys it even more. Slow and gentle he continues the embrace, pleased that Scarlet lets him lead. He hadn't been sure after she'd taken the initiative on most everything else. But when they were this close, he was seeing more in her than someone who had had her eye on him, checked him out, then had been determined enough to chase after him. Right now, in this moment, there was something softer behind all that. Something that was tender and almost fragile.
As Scarlet pulls away a little and comments about taste, he grins, though doesn't have time to respond before she's kissing him again. He deepens the kiss a little but not too much, and eventually it's his turn to pull away.
"So do you," he mentions softly. A smile plays with just the corner of his mouth. "But I wanna save something for next time."
Drawing back a little more, he reaches to tuck her hair behind her ear and stares her in the eyes once again. He cocks his head, his expression gentle. "There's more to you than meets the eye, isn't there?" His thumb runs over her cheek, touching her lips again, his glove making his touch just a little more rough.
Finally he lets her go, taking a step back, though his hand had found hers. "I'm gonna stay and watch the rest of the fireworks... wanna stay with me?"
Scott hears Hope's words and clings to them - his only lifeline to stay focused. He cringes as he tries to get his brain to work and he writhes with discomfort. But he manages as nod.
"Mm-hmm..." She'd still be here tomorrow.... and then the next day bring Domino. He missed his dog too. "Domino," he murmurs.
His grip on Hope's hand tightens even more without him realizing it. He was grasping for reality as the room seems to spin. His breathing is shallow, his pulse still rapid.
"You have to... have to bring a toy... and.... and her leash." He knew Hope already knew these things, but it was the only thing he could think of to respond to. And each word that was uttered, each new thought that he formed, shoved the data back one step further.
Trying as hard as he could, it was almost like trying to wake up when in a state of half-sleep... where one could tell reality was just within reach, but it could be so hard to come into a state of awareness. The sensation was similar and Scott grits his teeth to fight it. He was scared. Exhausted. Angry. His emotions swirled within him. He needed what was real... what was real.
Letting go of Hope's hand, his palm slides up her arm to her neck, then her face. His fingers were trembling, but this was the most real thing he had - her voice... her presence.
"I love you," he whispers.
His body shudders as with a jolt, the data releases its hold. Gasping, Scott's eyes fly around the room, finding where he was and silently reciting what day it was, how he'd gotten here and who he was. His heart thumps in his chest and his hand drops from Hope's face, still leaning into her, his head near her shoulder. Though shaking all over, the brief storm had passed.
"I can't..." he gasps. "I can't... keep doing this. You're right... I can't do this anymore."

Amazing
Eli's hand on her skin were rough from the work at the shop he did, but still they were so light, they have the soft tone to them. His touch so careful, being lentil like she might crumble in his hands. Rough on the outside she was, but inside being touch with such care, felling how gentile Eli was it made her feel good. Sending chills through her, knowing he wanted to be easy with her.
Closing her eyes and leaning her own head into Eli's hand the soft boom in the distinct seemed to go in rhythm of her own heart. How it pounded in her chest, her pulse quicking with every passing moment.
Feeling his lips brush against her own almost alone takes Scarlet's breath away. She anticipated the moment, but now it almost felt like the air had been sucked from her lungs felling his breath brush over her skin. As her heart beat inside her chest, she quivered just a little.
Keeping her one hand on his back as his lips returned to her own again Her fingers spread apart griping and hold him close. Feeling her knees grown weak she willed herself to stay standing. She had been waiting for this moment she wouldn't left it end so fast.
Removing her lips from Eli's for only a moment Scarlet cocks her head the other way but doesn't return right away her lips brushing his as she talked.
"You taste amazing."
Letting her hand slide from his face to the back of his head Scarlet continued the kiss again letting her own soft passion flow, not wanting to deepen it to much, just enjoying the moment and letting Eli lead. She didn't want to rush, she just wanted to take it as it came. As her heart beat inside her chest, she quivered just a little.

When to be gentle
Alec gives a deep sigh of content, his arm around Ryan and keeping her close to him. Nestling down further in the couch, he turns a little so they're facing each other on their sides. Her had on his back still felt oh so good.
Die happy? Happiness... was... that what this was?
All of a sudden, the coy glint disappears from his eyes, replaced by something different. Wonderment. Curiosity. Maybe even a little confused.
Happiness. He kisses her nose lightly. "You do make me happy," he whispers. His tone of voice wasn't that of simply telling her, but it was more as if he had just discovered this fact.
His foot strokes hers. "Thank you."
Eli tilts his head a little against Scarlet's hand, a little chill running through him at her touch. He closes his eyes for just a moment, feeling a tenderness in her hand. She was rough and tough on the outside, but he was catching a glimpse of what was on the inside... and it wasn't creepy at all.
Opening his eyes again, his own right hand comes up to cradle the side of her face. His thumb runs over her lips, and for several moments, he just mirrors her movements, mapping out the curves of her cheek, jaw and eyes and they hold each other, studying each other's gaze.
He knew he had more than permission to kiss her lips, but he takes his time, knowing when to be rough and when to be gentle. The soft breeze blows through the air while the distant booming of fireworks continues. Back at the bar, it had been a moment for stealing kisses and toying with sly intentions. Out here though, it was different, and he'd learned well enough over the years to recognize which was which.
Leaning in slowly, he cocks his head, his hand sliding down to her neck as his thumb rests on her cheek. His lips brush against hers lightly and he checks her eyes to make sure he still had her permission. Finding he did, he returns his lips to hers, venturing a little more passion this time as his grip around her waist tightens.

I told you
Feeling Eli's arms tighten around her a little Scarlet barrys her face into his chest a little more welcoming the feeling his arms brought and how safe it felt to be in there warmth. Getting a waif of his cologne she felt like she could just melt right there in his arms. His fingers running through her hair it was so nice, it made her heart thump even harder inside her chest.
As Eli pulls away just a little Scarlet looks up at him, trapped in his own eyes the grin was still on her lips her eyes soft, his eyes so bright. Giving a little bit of her lips before letting it go to form her full lips again Scarlet doesn't break gaze with him as he leans in a little closer, though there was a little bit of timidness.
"I told you at the shop this morning this wasn't a date because I didn't want to get you in trouble. So...I guess it worked out."
Moving her one hand from Eli's back Scarlet brings it to the side of his face. Letting her finger run over his cheek, and than his lips, before going back to the side of his face again, her finger tips finding the long bits of hair to play with.
As Alec sinks down next to her Ryan continues to rub his back leaning her head against his. The smile on her face as she felt so comfortable laying right there with Alec.
"Not that I want you to die, but at least you would die happy."
Leaning her head against Alec's Ryan's own eyes closed just taking in this sweet moment of cuddling. Letting the time pass she didn't care, knowing there was no time limit made it even better to just enjoy this moment.

Free
Fighting for the upper hand with their kisses, Alec grins. "You didn't say anything.... about being fair." One of his hands slides out from underneath her to crawl, up to the side of her face, his rough fingertips seeming to soften as he touches her cheek.
Feeling her hands on his back, he sinks down a little more with a soft groan. Pulling away from her kiss, he nestles his head into her shoulder, just lying there as she rubs his back. "Talk about playing dirty," he murmurs. His eyes are closed, as he's gone from a little tense to totally relaxed. "Are you trying to kill me?"
This whole thing was just a little bit strange. Like everything was just a tad off-kilter. Not enough to make it feel like a dream, but enough to make it seem like it was teetering on the very edge of reality. Taking Scarlet's hand and standing from the rock, Eli looks down at her, feeling a little odd. Not really awkward, just... odd. A planned hug. There was just something strange about that. But at the same time, he couldn't help it that he wanted to wrap his arms around her.
Being pulled into the embrace, he lets Scarlet close, his strong arms sliding around her to hold her close. His face rests against her sweet-smelling hair and he closes his eyes, unintentionally rocking just a little. An odd feeling settled over him... one that almost made him feel like Scarlet had needed this hug more than had been admitted. She felt good in his arms... he couldn't deny that.
Though still having on his motorcycle gloves, his fingertips were free and he runs them through her hair a little before pulling back enough to see Scarlet's face. There were those eyes again... the ones that lured him in and made him feel like he had no control over how far he fell into them.
"You know," he whispers. "If we decide this wasn't really a date..." His face moves closer to hers. "I'd be free to kiss you."

Tump
Giving another soft chuckle Scarlet didn't feel offended by Eli's half statement, maybe a little disappointed but far from offended, or hurt. Everyone was entitled to there own feelings, and how they wanted to about things.
"Ha..who said anything about a commitment? I simply asked for a hug and another date. Than we would see what happened."
Continuing to just watch him though it was like she couldn't take her own eyes away from him. Maybe inside it made her feel a little nervous even if she didn't show it, but just...something she couldn't put her finger on about him.
A little more colors comes her her cheeks at his comment about her eyes. It made her feel good to knowing he was looking deeper. Most guys said something like that, but it was easy to see they didn't really take a closer look. Eli was different though, but his gaze alone it was just..different.
"I think..a guy is a good place to start."
Standing from the rock Scarlet brushes herself off a little and straightens out her jacket and shirt. Putting a hand under her hair to pull the little strands that had found there way into her jacket out.
Moving so she was a little ways in front of Eli she holds her hand out to him helping him off the rock. Some might feel awkward and even Eli himself might Scarlet really didn't. The tump in her chest though seemed to pick up a little though as she waited for Eli to stand as well.
Once Eli was up Scarlet just stood there for a moment looking up at him. Giving a little bit to her own lip Scarlet finally sets closer to Eli her eyes still locked with his before slipping her shoulder under his arm and drawing him to her as her arms wrapped tightly around him.
Feeling Alec run his foot on the bottom of her own Ryan can't help the laugh that escapes her lips through there kiss causing it to break for a moment.
"Now thats playing dirty."
Giving another laugh Ryan brings her lips back to Alec's again, taking his lips in her own she gives it a little nibble before pulling away and turning her head the other way bringing her lips back to his again.
Rubbing his back Ryan's fingers brush over the edge of his shirt being up a little higher than normal. Bringing her hand under his shirt was easier than if it had been lower. Liking the way his finger tips felt on his skin Ryan continued to rub his bare back.
Continuing to hold Scott Hope rocks back and forth running her hand softly through his hair. Hearing his words to keep talking to him Hope trys to think of a topic quick keeping it natural and calm.
"So tomorrow for breakfast I was thinking of driving over to an IHop that was close to here and getting us something to eat. I know the food here is good but the food there is even better."
Looking off into the dark corner of the room Hope leans her head down to rest on Scott's keeping him held close to her almost like she though if she loosened it just a little she might lose him forever.
"Than not tomorrow but the day after that I was thinking about bringing Domino up and makes we could all walk to the little part they have out back. She miss you something horrible and I promised her I'd let her come and see you. I think that will be nice don't you?"

Could always try...
As Scarlet's words hang in the air, Eli takes a deep breath, letting it out slowly. Part of him was thrilled that a girl like her was attracted to him enough to want more than one night. But her forwardness and speed did call for caution.
"Naw, I'm not creeped out." He tilts his head so he can see her face, a wry grin hanging at the very corners of his mouth. "Well... maybe a little."
His grin widens to show he was teasing her, even if there was a small bit of hesitation in his tone. "You're not too sassy," he muses. "I'm not sure there is such a thing... at least in my opinion." A wink is tossed in her direction. "Though I have to admit... I'm not used to the woman making the first moves." She'd been the first to try for a kiss, and now she was the one asking for more than one date.
Still not giving her an answer though, he just looks back at her, locking his eyes with hers. He was always looking for dates and a girl to hang out with. But more than that?
Finally sitting up himself, Eli crosses his ankles and leans back on his hands, still looking at Scarlet as the fireworks continue in the distance. "I'm not sure I'm ready for more than fireworks," he admits. He didn't realize that his voice had grown quieter. "It's not that I don't like you or anything, I just... commitment... and all... that..."
Eli's words trail off as he sees the sparkling lights reflected in her gaze. "You have the most amazing eyes," he whispers. His previous excuses were forgotten. "I'd really be stupid to refuse a second date, wouldn't I?"
Biting his lip, he finally looks away, clearing his throat as he remains propped back on his hands. "We could always try for that hug and... see what happens."
"Mmmm..." Alec tilts his head into Ryan's hand and keeps moving his foot now that she'd joined him. "I hate torture," he mumbles, going in for another kiss. "Don't stop..."
His hands slide under her head so his fingers can feel her hair as his thumbs run up and down her neck and throat. Wriggling his feet around, he slips his socks off so he can feel her bare feet with his, a grin forming as he runs his toe along her sole, knowing it would tickle.
Scott clings to Hope, trying to stay focused. He gasps for air, his pulse racing. Her voice helped.. it gave him something to concentrate on... something other than the data that was trying to yank him back into that abyss.
"Talk to me," he murmurs. "Please..." His hand puts hers in a vice grip. "Talk to me."
"It's not that I don't like you or anything, I just... commitment... and all... that..."

Creep Out
Giving a small chuckle Scarlet's cheeks turned a little red. She new what Eli meant but still what he said had sounded wrong and she could help my mind from taking a few steps to the wrong path before coming back quickly and trying to focus on what he was saying again.
Sitting up again and drawing her one leg up to her chest again and leans her chin on it still looking up as the fireworks went off just letting the question linger in the air. She new for Eli this might be way to fast. It was understandable completely, and if Eli wanted to stop right there she would never hold it against him.
"Do I want more than fireworks yes, do I expect more than fireworks no, because if I was in your shoes I'd be a little creeped out."
Letting out a chuckle Scarlet meant it, she would be creeped out to know someone though something like that of her already without actually knowing them well at all.
"I guess I would settle for a hug and a second date?! Than go from there. Unless I am way to sassy and forward for you, because thats just..come with who I am its not a tactic to draw attachen to myself."
Still leaning her head on her knee she turns her head, her own leather jacket crackling with her movement as she looks at Eli again. The grin was still on her face as her eyes danced in light of the fireworks. Her eyes searching Eli's the silence just continuing to fill the space. In a way Scarlet didn't find it uncomfortable at all, it felt peaceful.
Feeling Alec so close to her with nothing to worry about but just kissing, and being together it felt even better. Alec made her feel so special, just the way he touched her, and kissed her, the way he looked at her.
"Mmmm...this is much better...than...a movie."
Continuing the passionate moment Ryan lets out a low murmer as Alec's lips find her neck again. Her own foot that was free finding his leg and lifting his pant let up so her could run her own bear foot on his leg.
"Don't you know that drives me up a wall...I don't think your the only one being torchered."
Ryan's hand tighten in Alec's hair again before releasing and just running her hands thought it once again. Her other hand still on his back rubbing it lightly. Looking up into his eyes Ryan could get lost in them. So soft, and rough at the same time, over looked by a lot the warmth and fire that lingered it sent chills through Ryan.
Moving her one hand she brings it to the side of his face running her thumb over his cheek, than his jaw, softly over his lips as her eyes stay connected with his just taking them in.
Sleeping lightly in the chair over by the window Hope had fallen a sleep only a little while before after keeping a close eye on Scott while he was sleeping. But hearing the cry for the the sleep was short lived as she shop up from the chair and was over to Scott in a flash kneeling down next to him on the floor.
"Scott, Scott...I'm here Hun, I'm here with you its ok."
Pulling him twords her Hope wraps her arms around Scott knowing he must have had another nightmare. Rocking a little still holding Scott close and running her hand through his hair Hope does he best to bring him comfort letting him know it would be ok, she was there and he was safe.

More than...
Eli meets Scarlet's gaze head-on, searching for answers... answers as to how she had sized him up so quickly and how after only a couple brief meetings, he could have had such an impact. It took people a long time to get to know each other and to trust one another. But Scarlet... not only had she done her research before seeking him out, but something else had happened too. A connection. A spark. Something close to chemistry, but more in a way. She trusted him off the bat and in so short of a time, her own walls had begun to crack. For Eli, it drove home the fact that people were always watching, and his actions were always being observed. He could make or break a person's self-worth just by what he said and did. It was kind of scary to realize this, for he knew that it meant he always needed to watch his step and behave how he should, and not give people the wrong impression, lest he lead someone in the wrong direction without even realizing it.
He blinks. How many seconds had just passed? He didn't know, but he was still staring into those blue eyes that drew him into their depths and sent chills up and down his spine.
"I don't know what to say," he admits quietly. He remains lying on his back with his hands up behind his head, his face turned towards Scarlet. "I've done nothing to deserve that kind of credit, let alone gain your trust like that." Some of his actions today would have scared off some nice girls. But Scarlet was not only nice but daring at the same time. It was an irresistible combination.
She wanted to keep him around? What exactly did that mean? Question fills his gaze. "So you're, um... looking for more than just fireworks tonight?"
Once he'd said it, he realized his mistake. It had sounded so wrong. He had meant to ask if she was looking for a relationship that would last more than just these few hours, but once he'd spoken, he realized just how his words could be taken. And even after he'd promised to behave.
"'Ohhh, that's not what I meant." He tries to recover. "I... didn't mean... that."
Cringing, he turns his head to look back up at the sky. Smooth, Eli, real smooth. "I wasn't trying to seduce you - honest. I know you're not that kind of girl. It just... came out... wrong." It was official. He felt stupid. After she'd just admitted she trusted him, he hoped he hadn't totally blown it with his comment.
Alec falls totally into the moment, having missed Ryan the last couple days. This was definitely making up for it.
Kissing and cuddling and kissing some more, a grin emerges again. "Mmm... maybe you're right." His lips trace patterns around her cheeks before returning to her lips. "I wouldn't want... to miss out... on this..." He murmurs approval as her fingers comb through his hair, tilting his head and moving closer so she could reach it easier.
His arms slide down under her shoulders and head so he's resting on her, feeling her permission and she pulls him closer. It was nice not to have to worry about leaving yet. Time didn't really matter and it made this all the more enjoyable.
Deepening his kiss along with Ryan's, he lets passion take over. His foot runs along her lower leg and he moves his lips down to her neck again. "Were we gonna watch a movie?" He kisses her ear. "Or just... do this... all night?"
Teasing laced his voice, proving he was talking about nothing more than making out. Returning to her lips, he finally pulls away just enough to see her eyes. His own stare back at her with a bright fire.
It was late. Scott shoots up in bed, his cry tearing through the dark room. Sweat pours down the sides of his face and he holds his head in his hands, rocking. "No," he whimpers. "No.... no, not again, no..."
His dream had been so vivid. He'd seen faces again... faces that he remembered... faces that haunted him. There were pictures that stayed in his dreams before, but now even they acted as visual triggers, and like a slingshot, his mind is hurled towards an abyss of data that he couldn't control.
"No... no..." He remembered now. This is what it felt like before he'd lost track of time. Before he'd had no memory of what had happened and had fallen into that terrible dream-like state. He was on the verge of falling again and he didn't know how to stop it. What had Alec said? What had Hope said? Jumpstart? Distraction? He didn't know. But he had to think... he had to think about something else.
The data claws at his mind, dragging him back into the darkness.
Desperate, Scott fumbles for the light, knocking over his glass of water onto the floor. Trying to get out of bed, his legs buckle and he lands on his hands and knees. Everything was starting to spin. He couldn't let the data take over again... he couldn't. He needed something... anything to grab onto and pull himself back out.
Closing his eyes shut tight, he curls up on the floor. "Hope..." His feeble voice becomes a loud cry. "Hope!"

Broken Heart
Chuckling a little at Eli's comment Scarlet understood this was all new to him and he really didn't know what else to say. She hadnt been offended on bit and she new, Eli new she was talking about him.
Just letting the lights and colors continue to make there display in the sky as her mind was now reverted to Eli. Turning a little on the rather comfortable rock Scarlet brings her arm up so resat her head on it while she still looked at Eli.
Thinking about his question for a long moment Scarlet studied Eli's eyes more looking so deep into them she wondered if there even was a bottom. But brining herself up again she offers Eli a grin.
"Well....that guy just happened to be special enough to put a big crack in it, so now some sun light can poke in. A guy who can do that, is a guy good enough to keep around."
There was nothing to straight forward Scarlet had said that might scar Eli away though she seemed to worry anyways. It had always been hard to show her emotions, and shair her feelings. I just was not her strong side.
Giving a light and a tiny shreek as Alec stood Ryan's legs automatically warped around him. Her one hand still on the back of his head while her other arm was around his neck.
Being deposited onto the couch Ryan gives a chuckle as she looks up at Alec. Her firy eye dance with the spark that lied in his own. Feeling his lips on her cheek, and than making there way down her neck and lingering there for a moment Ryan's eyes fall shut and the hand in his hair make a slight fist just tugging on it slightly, a growl coming from her throat saying she liked it very much.
Opening them again and letting lose of Alec hair the grin was still on her lips shifting a tiny pit so she was father down on the couch and hear head was not cocked at an odd angle.
The one arm that had been wrapped around him to his back she gave a light pull bringing him closer to her not worried about him being on top. Looking into his eyes she grins, enjoying the moment. Her heart still racing her words seemed a little horse.
"I personally think, a little bit is better than nothing at all."
Bringing her lips to his once more in a soft mannor, she just like the slow soft kiss linger before starting to deeping it, a little more at a time, putting more passion in it as her heart raced in her chest.

It depends
As Scarlet begins to speak a little more deeply about herself, Eli grins again. Yes, her eyes were dark and luring - that was a given. Yes, her demeanor was strong - anybody could see that. Could she kick the crap out of anyone that messed with her? Eli had figured that from the get-go. She was pretty confident... though someone with size might give her a run for her money. But Eli could imagine she'd be quite the wildcat if it came down to a fight.
He almost throws her a smart remark about how obvious it was about those things, but he stops, as she continues. Her words about her own heart catch him off guard. He had figured this conversation would stay pretty surface, but she was touching on something deeper. He hadn't been able to tell right off the bat that she had a wounded heart. He couldn't help but wonder what had caused that pain and those invisible walls.
Concentrating on the fireworks, he's not sure how to respond as there's a pause, but he needn't think of an answer just yet, when she begins speaking again. A man protecting his sister? Whom she'd taken the time to observe? Whom she liked when she met?
Eli's pulse quickens slightly. He knew she was talking about him, and he was a little stunned. Turning his head, he just looks at her, surprise written all over his face. He'd thought that today had been more of a meeting on a whim or maybe just something to do or be crazy. But apparently, Scarlet had thought through this long before coming to the shop. She'd already observed him, sized him up and formed an opinion before they'd ever even spoken.
He was pretty confident of himself and he knew he could be top dog when he wanted, whether it was around the shop or at the night races. But having someone else say these things about him... he really didn't know how to take it. He felt some form of flattery but it wasn't something he received often, and coming from Scarlet... it sent a warm feeling through his veins.
His head still turned, he just looks at her, studying her for the longest time while the fireworks boomed above. "Wow... sounds like quite the guy," he responds with raised eyebrows. "I should meet him sometime... maybe he'd have a few pointers for me."
She'd been serious and he'd just cracked a joke. He felt like kicking himself for it, but he just didn't know how to respond to something like that. Backtracking a little, he speaks again before she would have time to feel too badly that he'd kidded around. His voice is a little softer this time. "So what did meeting this guy do to that wall?" he asks quietly. "That wall that's protecting a mending heart."
At first, Alec doesn't move as Ryan comes to sit on his lap, but when she starts to kiss him, his hands automatically slip around her waist, pulling her a little closer. He couldn't help but return her kiss, his fingers gripping her back.
Hearing her theory, he grins while kissing her, giving a low little growl of pleasure as her fingers rake through his hair. "Maybe," he manages between kisses. "I guess it depends..."
His hands roam her back, finding her warm skin to caress. "...on how good..." He tilts his head the other way. "...the little bit is."
Tightening his hold around her, he stands up, letting her wrap her legs around him to stay in his arms. Kicking the chair out of the way, he wanders to the living room, still wrapped up in passionate kisses while picking his way carefully around furniture until he'd reached the couch.
Letting Ryan down first, he lowers himself over her, pausing to catch his breath. "Only one way to find out," he whispers. Keeping his forearms on either side of her to not put too much pressure on her, he leans in again to kiss her cheek, then moves back and down to her neck, lingering there to tease her with kisses before sliding back up to her lips again.

Mending heart
Giving a chuckle Scarlet listens to some of the things Eli liked and gave a nod. There was mystery to him yet a normal side as well. Both seemed like something Scarlet wouldn't mind getting to know. Everyone had there secrets, and there closets of dark tails Sometimes it just took more than a tug to get that door open.
"Dogs are good, and rock and roll is better. I like bikes, tattoos and I think I've found a fondness for fireworks as well."
Letting the silence linger again she thinks for a long moment. She'd just met Eli but there was still just something about him that made her want to bear all. Would he turn the other way walking thinking she would be to much baggage if he stayed? She didn't know but if she was even going to want anything to work...knowing the deeper side would be good right?
"On a more serous not though, my own eyes are dark and luring, and my demeanor is strong, I could probably kick the crap out of just about anyone that messed with me. But behind that there is a heart that has been trying to heal for a long time, but over the years no one earned the right to crack he hard walls that protected the mending heart."
Scarlet's eyes continue to search the sky, her breath soft, her eyes taking on the look that she was so far away in yet still aware that Eli was next to her. Drawing her leg up on the rock again as she lied back letting it wobble back and forth a little.
"But than there was hear tell of a man who protected his sister defending her honor and setting things right. Taking a trip to the track it wasn't hard to observe him from afar, and see the love and calm in his eyes for the one who was family."
More colors go off in the sky lighting up Scarlet's face in a multitude of colors. Each one seeming to reflect and emotion, as her eyes were glossy but from from tears but just thought looking closely it was almost like one could see her story writing out in one simple look.
"Than I finally got the guts to meet him, and when I did I instantly could feel something different about him. Not only did he have knock out looks, and the closer up the better his features were. But he also had his heart on his sleeve, and there was..."
Turning her head Scarlet giving a little smile as she looked at Eli. It was simple to tell she was talking about him. Her eyes searching his face, taking in everything about him as the light and colors lit up his own.
"...something calm and safe about about him that made me feel...everything would be alright an I could trust him."
Giving a chuckle again Ryan shakes her head as she takes a few more steps twords Alec flashing her grin as her eyes dances with fire.
"And if it bothered you that much you wouldn't be playing along now would you?"
Now almost right next to Alec as he sat slouched in the chair Ryan brought herself into his lap facing him one leg on each side. Feeling confidant that no matter how much she did infact mess around with Alec he wouldn't cross the line. There was a vibe there that said he did know better.
Bringing her lips down to his Ryan gives him a soft kiss letting her lips train along his for a moment before deeping it for a moment and than backing away a little.
"Wouldn't you rather..."
Bringing her lips to his nose and than his lips again Ryan press her lips to his backing away but not taking her lips off of his.
"...a little...than non at all?"
Pressing them to his again a little fermer Ryan just lets the kiss linger, letting the emotions was over her as her heart beat so fast in her chest and her hand ran through his hair like it had so many times before.
"Dogs are good, and rock and roll is better. I like bikes, tattoos and I think I've found a fondness for fireworks as well."

Mercy
Alec holds in a laugh, his eyes narrowing slyly at Ryan's comment, a grin toying at his lips. He still had a little bit of beer left so he takes another swig, letting it go down slowly before slinging a comeback.
"I don't know... it's like chocolates, 'cept I'm not allowed to have the whole box." His crooked smile twitches. "Eating just a few morsels could be considered quite cruel. So wouldn't it be better to avoid that dessert altogether?"
Drinking down the last bit of beer, he sets the bottle back on the table with a little clink, just sitting lazily in the kitchen chair, one arm hanging over the back. He knew exactly where Ryan stood without even needing to ask. There was an air about her... confident... sly... seductive. But when it really came down to it, Alec knew good and well that she would choose to remain on this side of a very serious line. And should he cross that line himself, forgiveness on her part would not come easily if at all.
His grin turns into a full smile. "You're pure torture, McKade. And the only thing that makes it worse is that you're fully aware of that fact and I'm left at your mercy."
Seeing Scarlet finally lay back on the rock, Eli's glad that she trusted him enough to relax too. Though the temptation to pull her into his arm was almost too much to resist. He manages to keep still, remembering his promise.
His smile returns though at her question, and he thinks while focusing on the fireworks. "Mm... if I told you what secrets were behind my eyes, then there would be no more mystery. My handsome gaze might turn boring and I'd never get a date with a girl again."
Turning his head to see her, he laughs before looking back to the sky. "Nothing hides... it just takes people a while to find what they're looking for. Gaze too deeply into a man's eyes, though, and one might see more than they want to." His hint hung in the cool air, that there were things about him someone might not want to know.
"I like dogs, rock n' roll and a good steak," he concludes, breaking the odd moment. "Your turn. What's behind those sapphire eyes?"

Something else sweet
Taking a beer out of the fridge for Alec, and grabbing some milk for herself Ryan can finally sit down to enjoy the meal with Alec. She had, had lunch with Alec many times before but to have him sitting at her table and eating with her was completely different. But she liked it, eating with Eli was great but there was just something different a new about enjoying a meal with Alec at home.
Finished with her own meal and seeing Alec was done too Ryan stood and started to clear there plates and the other odd and ends from the table. It defiantly had been a nice dinner, and she was happy they food had turned out well on top of it.
"You're very welcome I am happy you liked the meal."
Turning back to the sick to rinse some of the dishes off before putting them in the dishwasher Ryan turns and looks at Alec letting his question linger. Quirking an eyebrow a grin formed on her own lips. About to make some smart comment that in around about way told him to watch it a bit of releaf washes over Ryan hearing him correct himself to sleeping on the couch.
Giving a chuckle and just continuing to look at Alec Ryan search his eyes for a long moment. Seeing something different in them, it was interesting. Almost soft, curious to see what it was really like to belong somewhere and not just be there because thats where the moment had him. Turning back to the dishes she stick the last plate into the dishwasher holding the silence for a moment.
"I think...that would be a great idea. Don't have any idea when Eli would be home and I could use some company to snuggle on the couch with me. I think some dessert and movies would be a good way to end the night."
Giving him a sidelong glance the sassy grin forms on her lips again her the wheels in her head turned knowing darn well what she said next might be taken as. Taking a few steps closer to where Alec was.
"Though we are fresh out of chocolate cake and whip cream. So we will have to find another tasty treat to have, but I don't think it will be a problem finding it."
Giving a chuckle and enjoying Eli's seance of humor Scarlet makes her way over to the rock to sit down. Bringing a knee up onto the rock and wrapping her arms around it Scarlet continues to watch the color as they shoot off into the sky. Something so simple, so flawless, so pretty.
Just letting the silence rain for a long moment the quiet booms in the distant Scarlet finally turns a little to Eli just looking at him and taking him in for a long moment. How peaceful he looked there.
"So, you like to draw on cars, and have you friends check out chicks before you bother meeting them..."
Scarlet gives a teasing wink to Eli. She wasn't upset anymore she just didn't want him to live it down yet.
Giving a stretch and leaning back on the rock herself finally Scarlet keeps her eyes to the sky watching all the colors as they exploded into reaches of the stars.
"What else hides behind to mysterious dark and handsome eyes of yours?"

Perfect seat
Finally getting up off the couch, Alec wanders to the kitchen behind Ryan, sticking close and watching her finish up the food. He hadn't realized how hungry he was until he sits down at the table, all the great smells wafting through the air.
"Oooh, a beer would hit the spot."
Getting settled at the table with Ryan and eating, Alec grows strangely quiet. Eating slowly, one hand is still on his sore ribs, but it wasn't the pain that was keeping him quiet. It was something else. There was an awful lot going through his mind right now and he wasn't really sure how to process it.
Almost finished eating, he just stops for a moment and looks across the table at Ryan thoughtfully. "Thanks, Ry... this is... nice." It was different now. He wasn't sure why, but it was. This was what life was supposed to be like, wasn't it? He could have the speed, adrenaline, mystery and fun. But it wasn't all about that, was it? There really was more. He hadn't believed it until today. He would have thought that he would hate these quiet moments. But when he was too tired for adventure and sitting with a friend... it wasn't so bad after all.
Putting his last bite of steak in his mouth, he chews thoughtfully. "Can I... spend the night?"
His eyes rise to meet hers, a sly grin emerging. "On the couch," he clarifies, knowing good and well she wouldn't stand for anything else, let alone Eli who would be back later. "I don't wanna die yet," he muses with humor in his voice.
He just... wanted to see what it was like being in an actual home. Not waking up at TJY, or the Agency, or some woman's house he'd wound up at while drunk. This place with Eli and Ryan... it was... a home. It had brother and sister... family... something Alec hadn't had in a very long time.
"Funny business?" Eli arcs one of his eyebrows and a little laugh escapes before he can stop it as her terminology strikes him as humorous. "What? You didn't like sitting in my lap earlier?"
His smile widens with his teasing tone as he backs away towards the rock. "C'mon. Tonight started out pretty poorly and it was my fault, so at least lets end it well so tomorrow we'll have good memories." He pauses, extending his arms to his sides as he backs up. "Without any funny business." He tosses her a wink before turning around to walk the rest of the way to the big rock.
Settling down on the hard surface, it was cool from the day's damp air but had dried enough to sit on. Lowering himself, he lies on his back, putting his hands up behind his head, his jacket falling open as he looks up at the sky. The rock was angled just enough that the fireworks were still in great view if one dared to lie back and see for themselves. A slight breeze played with Eli's hair as another firework exploded in the night sky.

Funny Business
Giving a small chuckle again and feeling the heat come to her cheeks at Eli's mention to her being gorgeous Scarlet shifts her weight a little. Though she still felt odd about having Eli's friend looking after her there was just something about his smile, about him that made her so she just couldn't be mad.
"Ten minutes it ten minutes. You were so adamant about coming on a date with me I thought you would have been on time."
Looking at the fireworks as a few more go off Scarlet lets her arms fall to her side Eli's question going unanswered for a moment. They were so pretty looking and she hadn't seen fireworks in so long it was like seeing them for the first time all over again. A smile on her face grows a little wides the colors still dancing on her face and eyes.
Finally looking down and over to Eli again Scarlet gives a small nod as she unzips her jacket a little. It really was a nice night.
"Ok, I'll sit with you, as long as there is no funny business."
The smile on her face and the glint in her eyes showed she was joking even if her voice was stern. She new she really had nothing to worry about with Eli. He just made her feel comfortable something she hadn't felt around a guy in a long time.
Feeling Alec's hand run through her hair Ryan lets out a soft low moan saying she likes the way it felt. Looking down at him again she still didn't want to move but she new sooner or later she would have to.
Shifting a little and rolling off Alec Ryan stands before offering a hand up to Alec as well before heading to the kitchen.
In a few moment Ryan had everything prepared and set on the table. The different smells wafting through the room making any hungry tummy growl. Looking in the fridge she studys what they have to drink.
"We have beer, Milk, OJ, and water...what would you like?"

To myself
Confirming that Scarlet and Tal had just been playing with him eased Eli's mind a little bit. He hadn't gotten the impression that Scarlet was one to just grab anybody out of desperation, but it was nice to hear her say it anyway. Unfortunately, whether she and Tal had wanted him to look stupid or not, he had, and felt jut a teensy bit like a fool.
Giving a little chuckle, Eli watches another couple fireworks before answering. "I don't know. I guess where we'd left it at the shop, I wasn't sure if you'd actually show or not. I knew I could get Tal to keep an eye out if I bought him supper, then yeah... I wouldn't have to get out and tell someone the next day that I'd been stood up by Miss Gorgeous herself."
Swinging his head back around, he's wearing a silly crooked grin. "Not to mention, you weren't supposed to even know Tal was there, but you had to go and try to leave at ten after eight. I mean, come on... ten minutes? You weren't even gonna give me a chance to show up."
Finally dismounting his bike, Eli stretches, his leather jacket creaking with the movement. "There's a rock over there if you wanna sit." He points to a nice smooth bolder at the edge of the hill that was ideal for sitting. "I promise to keep my hands to myself."
"Mm... steak sounds good." Alec leans his face into Ryan's hand, loving her touch. Other woman hadn't touched him like that before... it was different... there was more affection and a desire to be with him and not just get what was wanted and leave.
Looking up at her, he gives a little shrug. "Reese and I.... have... come to an understanding I guess. I mean... after today well... I guess maybe I did something right and he's gonna be a little easier on me unless I screw up again."
Grinning, he runs a hand through her hair. "So.... yeah, I can stay if you want."

What about you?
Scarlet can't help the grin that crossed her face she she looked up at the fireworks. If it had anyone else that had said something like that to her, she would of been upset and maybe even slap them. But there was something about the way Eli said it that didn't feel like a threat at all.
"Not trying to make you look stupid, but maybe have a little fun with you for sending your friend to see if I would show up and not just coming yourself."
Finally turning to look at Eli Scarlet looks into his eyes as the fireworks keep going off. The light was enough to make out his features and under the dim light he looked even better.
"I new you'd show your Tal told me that you were on your way and thats why I couldn't leave. Before that I have every intention of just going home and watching some tv before heading to bed. So to your answer, No I am not a loser despite for a date, I choose wisely, and no I wasn't trying to make you looks stupid ether."
Crossing her own arms over her chest Scarlet looks to the sky for a moment as another firework goes off admiring the colors before looking to Eli again.
"So,what about you? Whats with sending your friend to see if I'd show up and not just coming yourself? Weather I was going to show or not? Didn't feel like looking stupid from being stood up?"
Ryan gives a soft chuckle as she is cuddle on the couch with Alec. It was so warm, and comfortable. Being close to Alec and just laying here felt so nice Ryan could sink here, and be so happy.
"Mmm...I don't think I'd mind if you stayed and let me fall asleep on top of you."
Shifting just a little to not remove her head from Alec's chest but to look up at him Ryan brings her hand to the side of his face to gently stroke it. Over his eyes, his nose, his cheeks and this lips.
"Do you have a time limit now of when you need to be back? Or can you stay longer for supper and maybe a movie? I have an extra steak now that Eli's gone."

Feel stupid
Eli watches the fireworks, though his peripheral vision focuses on Scarlet, noting that she'd dismounted and drew nearer to him.
Hearing her question, his mouth twitches in amusement. Another firework goes off, lighting the sky and sending soft light to Eli's face as if highlighting his rugged features. "If I say yes, that's admitting this is a date and you might try to convince me it's the second one after our little encounter back at the restaurant."
Finally turning his head, he looks at Scarlet and studies her eyes that shimmered in the sparkling light. His little grin turns into a full smile. Her question goes unanswered.
"So tell me..." He remains sitting astride his bike, and crosses his arms over his chest. "Did you figure I wasn't gonna show so you're the type to just pick up the next best thing, or were you and Tal putting on an act just to make me feel stupid?"
Alec opens his eyes, realizing that he'd just started to doze off. He needed to get back to TJY. Ryan still had supper that she'd left in the kitchen and it was probably getting cold, too. But he didn't want to get up. He hadn't been this comfortable in ages. No wonder it was making him sleepy.
Closing his eyes again, he resumes giving Ryan a back rub. "Careful," he warns. "Let me lie here much longer and you won't be able to get rid of me tonight."

Luck out
Jimmy gives a laugh and a smile it wasn't often someone came in here knowing there own limit with driving so when he did it was nice to see.
"It's been a long time since Scarlet found someone she liked. Thats a woman when she wants something she'll get it. Its good to see the spark in her eye of determination again."
Taking Tal's bottle and shaking his head it was so easy to see Jimmy was content with his job. Taking pride in how his place looked. Glancing back at Tal he gives a nod.
"You have a good night and hope to see ya again."
Following Eli with great presition its not to hard to follow Eli. Happy to be going fast Scarlet likes that Eli was a man who took a dare though slowing at certain spots proved he was smart as well and that was a skilled driver.
Seeing the sign for Creston come into view Scarlet is a little surprised as Eli go thee other way. Wondering for a moment where on earth he was going Scarlet just continues to follow him not minding just ridding more.
Finally coming to a stop at the top of the hill thought the view was amazing. Putting her kick stand down than swinning her one leg over the bike till she was standing. Taking her helmet off Scarlet lets her hair fall from under it and around her shoulders once again almost like it had never been disrupted to start with. Placing them helmet down She wanders closer to Eli to look over at the town.
As the first firework goes off Scarlet looks to the sky as the colors spread and make there pattern in the sky with the bright brilliant colors. The lights reflecting off of Scarlets eyes making them seem bigger and sparkle more.
"Wow...this is amazing."
Looking at Eli again she smirks a little cocking her head to the side a little humor showing in her eyes that she was joking.
"Do you take all your dates here? Or did I just luck out?"

No better view
Watching the antics of Eli and Scarlet, then seeing them both take off, Tal shakes his head, still sitting at the bar. Looking to Jimmy, he smirks. "Kindred spirits, those two. We'll be lucky if they don't kill each other."
Finished with his beer, he refuses another one. "I gotta drive. I think I will go get me a hamburger though. As long as Eli was buying, I might as well take advantage of it."
Eli heads out of town, going a might faster than the speed limit, despite the wet roads. The rain had stopped and the clouds were clearing, but the pavement still held the moisture from earlier. Hitting the four-lane highway, his engine revs as he overtakes a few cars. Glancing in his mirror though, he sees a single headlight and he suspects who it is.
Sure enough, as Scarlet comes up beside him, he knows exactly who it is. His grin was hidden under his helmet. Shifting into a higher gear, he speeds up on the straightaway, overtaking a few more cars but keeping Scarlet in his sights.
Once the road brings several curves though, he slows, knowing not to play crazy on the wet road even though he wanted to. A few more miles, and he exits the highway, taking a few narrower roads. Though speeding up again, he doesn't take any corners too sharply, amused as he is tailed.
Eventually, the sign for Creston comes into view, but Eli doesn't head into town where the fireworks were going to take place. Instead, he hits a side road that needed a good rider to be able to manipulate around potholes and bumps. If he would have been with anybody else the first time, he wouldn't have let them follow - but he had a feeling Scarlet could handle this route quite well.
Another mile and the road curves around and starts to climb. The going was slower, but Eli knows exactly where he's headed. Though a sign came up that the road was a dead end, he keeps going until he'd hit a wooded path that some people would overlook completely. It was gravel though, so the rain hadn't made it too difficult to drive. It was a bit loose in spots and Eli takes it carefully until finally the trees end at a clearing.
They'd reached the top of a hill that had a steep slope down the other side. The path had ended, leaving the route at a true dead end. Pulling to a stop, Eli looks down over the town lights and cuts his engine. Putting down his kickstand, he lets his bike rest to the side as he plants both feet on the ground and takes off his helmet. They'd made it just in time.
The first firework rockets into the sky and bursts into brilliance. There could be no better view than this hidden lookout point. Grinning a little, Eli gives a little glance to his side, wondering if Scarlet would stick around or just tell him off then head back.

O.O
Being set up on her feel again Scarlet just looks at Eli for a long moment as he brings his fingers to her lips once again and than fall back letting his challange hang in the air.
Turning around quickly Scarlet throws some money onto the bar knowing if it was not enough Jimmy would tell her next time.
"Kiddo, your really going after him?"
"Like heck I am. Now I am determined to get my kiss."
"Just be safe the roads are wet."
"Yeah yeah I know Jimmy thanks."
Leaving the pub and seeing Eli start out of the parking lot Scarlet take the time to put her helmet on and start the bike as well. Giving it another rev she was backing our from her parking place and heading out onto the road.
Seeing Eli's tail lights up a head Scarlet puts on the gas a little more to come closer to him. Slowly gaining. Till she was right behind him.
Pulling over into the second lane she had to weave in and out of some cars but found herself along side Eli's bike. Giving a grin only her eyes could tell, and shaking her head slightly for now Scarlet had caught up.

Catch me
Eli sits still and looks into Scarlet's eyes, feeling her hands wander up to his neck and hair. Her touch sent a tingle down his spine.
As she nears his face again, he interrupts the movement with another swig from his beer bottle. "I don't hire henchmen," he corrects. "Just spies. And this morning...." He eyes her, a sly glint passing through his gaze. "That was a bonus of my job. So technically, we're back to this being the first date."
He reaches up to take one of her hands in his, running his rough thumb through her palm. "Not to mention, when I arrived, you were getting it on with that spy of mine." He tsks and shakes his head. "So this might not even be a date at all."
He sips on his beer again and bounces one leg, to throw Scarlet off balance. Standing abruptly, he dumps her back on her feet, downing the rest of the beer with several large swallows. "Time for me to hit the road, Hot Stuff. There's fireworks in Creston and I'm not gonna miss out."
Reaching out, he runs a finger over her lips one more time. Tossing some money on the table, he swaggers towards the door, turning just as he reaches it. "Catch me if you can," he challenges.

Checking out
Bring pulled into Eli's lap the sassy grin widens a little on her lips hearing his comment. Going to reply Scarlet is stopped by Eli's finger on her lips. Like she had felt earlier today his touch was rough but still so light and soft, just the feeling of his finger on her lip sent chills through her.
Closing her own eyes and leaning in slightly Scarlet is disappointed as she is left hanging with no kiss. Over behind the bar she can hear Jimmy snicker again, thinking this whole thing was completely funny.
"Oh, no kiss on the first date but you have to send you hench men in to see if I'd actually show up. What a first date indeed."
Scarlet stays sitting on Eli's lap bringing her one hand to his chest and lightly brings her hands up and to his shoulders. Her touch light and soft. Than moving her fingers up his neck and the the side of his face brushing his hair out of his eyes before slipping her hand behind his head and running her fingers though his hair.
Braining her face close to his again Scarlet's eyes give a little spark as her fingers continue to move through Eli's hair.
"You know...technically this is not a first date. I would consider...you checking me out this morning as the first date!"

Eli
Eli quirks an eyebrow as his drinks come up from behind. Hearing the whisper though and feeling the warm breath on his ear, a wry grin creases his lips.
Not responding right away, he takes the whiskey and downs the shot in one swallow, setting the empty shot glass on the table. Scooting his chair back a little ways, he grabs Scarlet around the waist without warning, pulling her into his lap. "Well... what have we here?"
His left eyebrow is still quirked, his unruly hair almost covering one of his eyes. "Get tired of poor Tal over there? Or was I just a more appealing choice on the menu?"
Taking a finger he runs it softly over Scarlet's ruby lips. "I have a feeling you could outkiss Becky," he muses. Leaning in closer, his face is near enough he could feel her breath on his skin. His eyes close and his lips almost reach hers.
All of a sudden though, he straightens back up and goes for his beer instead. "Unfortunately, I don't kiss on first dates. Sorry." Taking swig of beer, he releases Scarlet, so she can stand up again.

Better
Still grinning Scarlet looks up into the mirror and watches Eli with Becky. She can feel her own heart race. Knowing the waitress had nothing to do with this she couldn't help but till feel a little something bubble inside of her.
"Touche...touche."
Leaning into Scarlet to take her empty bottle Jimmy gives a chuckle a smile strong in his face and his eyes dancing with humor.
"Its looks like you've been one upped Scarlet."
Throwing Jimmy a dirty look Scarlet looks back to Tal and gives a shake of her head and a chuckle. Eli had one upped her but this wasn't the end. However, there was no way she could kiss Tal and not mean it. The look in his eye said this had hardly been totally a joke to him.
"Sorry, not gonna happen. I can't kiss you and than walk a way. Thats just not fair to you. It was fun while it lasted, make sure Jimmy gives you another beer on my tab."
Scarlet gives him a pat to the arm and stands taking her jacket from the back of the chair. Heading around the bar like she was going to the bathroom Scarlet heads Becky off who's cheeks were still flushed.
"I can take it from here Becky."
Taking the shot of whiskey and the beer Scarlet comes around the far way behind Eli so he couldn't see her. Bringing the shot and the beer over his shoulders she holds them out for him bring her lips down by his ear. Her breath soft, moving over his ear as she talked.
"That kiss looked pretty good there lover boy, but lets see if I can do better."

Oh boy
Grinning up at Ryan, Alec's hand continues to gently stroke her back, sensing she liked it. "Maybe," he replies coyly. His other hand pulls her head down again so he can give her another kiss. "One can never be too careful about these things though."
His fingers move lightly back and forth around her lower back, a grin still on his lips. It hurt his ribs a bit that she was lying on him, but it was worth it just to be holding her.
"I don't know what it is about you, Ryan McKade," he says quietly. "But you sure know how to turn a guy upside down."
Pulling her down once more, it's not for a kiss, but just to let her rest her head on his chest and he continues the backrub. He kisses the top of her head and sighs with content, his heart beating out a strong rhythm.
Playing right along with Scarlet, Tal grins and helps her out of her jacket, moving closer to her than necessary for that task. Laying the jacket over the back of the barstool, he resumes his seat next to her, taking another swig of beer. Knowing Eli had just walked in made this whole thing utterly ridiculous but horribly fun at the same time.
Another grin creeps onto Tal's face as he reaches over and tucks Scarlet's hair behind her ear. "Mm... you better be careful, Scarlet. I'm liable not to let Eli have you back."
Winking at her, his hand trails down her neck then down her arm to her own hand, his fingers running over her knuckles.
Watching the bar closely, Eli can't believe it when he sees Tal making moves on Scarlet. His eyes narrow. Sure. He leaves his buddy to keep an eye on the woman, but now he had more than just his eyes on her, he had his hand all over her. Nice. Real nice.
Turning around, he's just about ready to leave, but his determination wins over. So maybe he didn't come in the first place, but he really hadn't expected Scarlet to actually show up. Tal knew good and well what he was supposed to be doing here and he'd crossed a major line here.
Spinning back around, Eli's fists tighten, still in the the grips of his motorcycle gloves. Heading straight for Tal's barstool, he had full intention of grabbing him and pulling him out of there to confront him. However, halfway there, he just about runs into a young waitress who sidesteps and gives a little gasp, looking up at him quickly.
Eli quirks an eyebrow and glances to Scarlet and Tal again. Come to think of it, this wasn't all Tal. Scarlet was letting him hit on her big time. So maybe this was really her and not Tal at all. It was a combination at least. And if she wanted to play it this way, then he had no problems giving it right back to her.
Thinking on his feet, he sees the waitress' nametag and flashes her a smile. "Becky! Sorry I 'bout ran you over. How could I miss something as pretty as you?"
Without hesitating, he takes her around the waist and spins her in a little circle. "I hope you're getting out of your shift soon." Tossing her a wink, he pulls her close and cocks his head, leaning in to press his lips to hers.
The girl had been totally confused but after only one little nervous jump, she now melts in Eli's arms, obvious to anyone watching. Someone nearby whistles and a few people in the corner actually clap. Eli pulls back and gives the girl's nose a little tap with his finger. "Thank you. I needed that. Now how about getting me a shot of whiskey and a beer?"
"Uh..." The waitress stammers, trying to regain her composure. "Yeah... sure."
"Good. Thanks." Turning his back on Scarlet and Tal, Eli pulls out a chair at a nearby table and sits down, not bothering to take his gloves or jacket off yet.

Slip
Being pulls so closely to Alec Ryan could feel his heart racing, or maybe it was her own as she quivered under his touch. Continuing the kiss Ryan just lets it deepen more enjoying every moment. It had only been a few days but Alec's touch was addicting and it felt like she had been going through withdraws.
Ryan's own little growl comes from her lips as she feels Alec's hands on her back. They felt so soft on her skin and his touch was so light. Taking her lips from his Ryan finds his ear and gives it a little nibble she whispers.
"Now, you'll remember me in a few months too."
Moving her lips down to his neck and gives it light kiss she moves down to the little area on his chest where his shirt was low, before moving up his neck again, under his chin and her lips meet his once more.
Backing away for a moment to catch her breath her hear still raced as she stared into his eyes. Keeping herself close to him still Ryan just studied his face, her fingers still in his hair, tighting just a little and than loosing. Continuing to enjoy him rubbing her back and not really wanting him to stop.
Tapping her bottle against Tal's Scarlet gives another grin as she sits a little closer to him just creating the illusion there was more there.
"Well Tal you already know me name so there is no need in saying that again."
Being in the bar so often Scarlet new the sound the door made when it opened. Glancing in the mirror behind the bar where the bottles of liqueur sad her grin grows a little as she see Eli.
"Well, well, well...look who deiced to show up."
Scarlet keeps her voice low as to make sure Eli didnt hear. Jimmy just rolling his eyes from the far end of the bar.
"Put your arm around me and than help me take my jacket off...."
Slipping her own arm around Tal's back Scarlet leans into him a little giving a laugh like he had just said something funny. Before standing a little and letting her leather jacket fall from her shoulders. Sitting back down again She leave it in Tal's hand to make the next move, but keeping her eye on Eli to make sure he didn't leave again.

Honor
Being led to the couch, then pushed down, Alec hardly has time to get comfortable before Ryan is on top of him, kissing him again. Returning the kisses, he runs his hands up and down her back, pulling her tightly to him.
Not breaking the moment, he kicks his shoes off and scoots down a little more so he can be flat on his back, totally taken in by Ryan's affection. One hand crawls up to find her hair, while the other slides down, searching for her bare back to rub while she kisses him.
A low murmur escapes in between kisses as Alec's eyes stay closed, not caring how long they stayed here like this.
Getting pulled to the bar, Tal's eyebrows rise at the suggestion of giving Eli a scare. But by the time he finds a barstool, the idea has set pretty well with him, and a smile had appeared on his face.
Taking his beer, he holds it up to Scarlet for a toast. "Talon. Friends call me Tal, and I think you've just won that honor. This is gonna be fun."
Eli pulls up to the curb, his motorcycle engine rumbling. Parking next to the now-familiar bike, he knows Tal was right - Scarlet was here. Dismounting, he pulls off his helmet and locks it to his bike, running a hand through his hair so it wasn't so matted. Dropping his keys in his pocket, he ambles to the door of the bar and grill and walks in.
Standing for a moment, his eyes scan the restaurant area, glancing at all the tables and not finding who he was looking for. Turning the other direction, his gaze sweeps the bar, finally landing on Scarlet and Tal... sitting together? He'd told Tal to keep her there... was that all he was doing?

Innocent fun
Once Scott was done eating Hope was please he at least had half the bowl. It was more than he had, had to eat in a while and it did make her happy.
Hearing Scott's next question makes her heart sink a little more. It was good he now admitted he needed help but it hurt even more that he new he was getting worse. She just wanted him better now.
Moving from the edge of the bed to lean her back against the wall and put her arms around Scott Hope leaned her head against his letting out a sigh.
"I'd don't know Scott, but don't you give up yet ok? I'm still here with you, and even if it doesn't look it things are gonna be ok, and soon you will be out of here. I promise you, your going to be ok."
Hope had promised before she wouldn't give up one him and she would do all she could, she wasn't about to go back on that now. Even if it seemed miles away Hope new it was in reach once they got partway there.
Hearing the low growl that Alec made pleased Ryan knowing he enjoyed receiving the affection as much as she liked giving it. Feeling him pull her closer to himself makes her deepen the kiss that much more, just feeling his arms around her.
Hearing Alec's comment Ryan's corners of her lips turn upward a little more as she turns to look at the timer on the microwave. Seeing the time was almost up Ryan takes a few steps back still holding onto Alec taking him with her. Turning the stove off she looks back to him her eyes twinkling as she turns and heads for the living room.
"I think we can arrange that."
Leading him into the living room Ryan stops at the couch and gives him a little push so he falls back onto it. Grinning she brings herself done to him putting one leg on each side. Leaning in her lips press against his again before drawing away turning her head the other way and returning again. Her one hand cradling his face, and the other finding his hair.
Continuing to look at the man in front of her Scarlet keeps her arms cross as she raises her eyebrow. This had to be a joke right? If this guys was really a thug there would be no way he was stumbling over his words in front of her.
But finally hearing his reason for trying to keep her hear a grin finally forms on her lips as a chuckle escapes her lips.
"It was to much for him to come and see if I'd come huh?"
Stepping a little closer to the man Scarlet throws her arm over his shoulder and pulls him a little closer to her turning to walk twords the bar again.
"How about I buy you a drink, and we let Eli worry a little when he shows up humm? But first you have to tell me your name."
Looking over at Jimmy she gives a smile.
"I guess I'm not leaving after all!"
"Something tells me thats not the guy you were waiting for."
Scarlet gives a shake of her head and another chuckle looking to the man again chuckling.
"No, it wasn't but it dosnt hurt to make Eli worry a little for not coming here himself right?"
Shaking his head and laughing the bartender takes two more beers from the cooler and puts them on the bar. Sometime Scarlet was to much to handle and he couldn't help but laugh. This defiantly was going to be interesting.
"Just don't make him worry to much. I don't no bloodshed in my bar you hear me."
Holding up her one hand Scarlet nods.
"Don't worry it's just a little innocent fun right..."
Scarlet's words trail off waiting for the man to tell her his name.

Sorry rear end
Scott isn't sure he really understands, but he's too weary to care. Hope's request lingers until he finally nods. "Just a little. I'm not very hungry."
A little while later, Scott manages to sit up in bed so he can hold a bowl of soup. The window was dark by now and a few stars dotted the sky.
Taking a few small spoonfuls of soup, Scott slowly downs about a quarter of the bowl before setting it aside. Pulling his knees up to his chest, he takes his usual position of wrapping his arms around his legs and resting his chin on his knees.
"What's gonna happen to me, Hope?" he asks quietly. "I feel like I'm... like I'm getting worse."
Whether he realized it or not could be up for debate, but to someone listening closely, they would have recognized that he'd just admitted he'd needed help to begin with. For to say he was getting worse would have meant he had to have been in need prior to this.
"Later!" Eli calls as he grabs his keys and heads for the door, having no idea of the in-depth conversation going on in the kitchen. He'd changed into his black jeans and plain black t-shirt, throwing on a bit of aftershave, then had donned his motorcycle boots and leather jacket. Once outside, he aims for his motorcycle, pulling on his gloves that left his fingers free. Only a moment is needed to don his helmet and his engine revs as he heads down the street.
Having Ryan turn away, Alec could hear hurt in her voice and some irritation too. He gives a little sigh. Maybe his words really had been stupid after all. Maybe she'd just be mad at him and tell him to take a hike. Maybe he deserved it.
Straightening up, he turns and is just about ready to tell her goodnight when she's back again with her arms around him. He raises his eyebrows a little bit, his hands automatically moving to her waist. Her words seemed to bring him relief, proving that even if he'd made a bad call, she wasn't going to hate him for it.
Alec gives a low growl as Ryan moves to kiss his neck, pulling her against him. Then as her lips find his, he kisses her back with passion, gripping her as closely to him as he could until she pulls back.
"Mm... that's a good reminder but..." His eyes drift to the now-empty living room then back to Ryan. "I don't know... it might take more than that for me to remember that a week from now."
"Why... can't you leave?" Tal racks his brain. "Um... well... just because." He offers a smile, but sees that he's getting nowhere with convincing Scarlet of anything.
Finally he just rolls his eyes and sighs deeply. "Look, you can't say anything to him, alright? Eli's paying me to keep you here after I called him and told him you showed up. He's on his way and now I'm wishing I never would have called him because I have just made the biggest idiot of myself as I ever have." His eyes narrow. "It would have been easier for me to use my own pick-up line and left him sitting at home with his own sorry rear end."
Finished ranting, he looks back at Scarlet and rolls his eyes. "So will you stay so at least he'll think I've done my part?"
