To say Hello

Standing in Reese office Ryan couldn't help but wonder what was going on now. The last time she had been in here it had been for about an hour she'd been question and hounded about Alec. She'd never had much luck in this office so she wasn't expecting it now.

Just listing to Reese Ryan nods once or twice just to let him know she was listing. She really hadn't though about Alec lying about everything. Not that she thought he wouldnt, or couldnt but she just hadn't though he did.

Waiting for Reese to finish talking Ryan cross her arms across her chest letting out a long sigh looking back at Reese. She wasn't cocky, but she held her head high not backing into a corner like a child. Her voice was firm but different from when she had talked to Jason knowing talking to the big boss was just a little bit different.

"I don't know anything more that what I have already told you people two times now. As for if Alec says anything I will keep what you said in mind and consider what I tell you. I don't make a habit of running right off to someone else and blabbing stuff I have been told. But like I said I'll keep it in mind."

Turning and going to the door Ryan stops before going out. Looking over her shoulder at Reese Ryan gives a small smile.

"You can call me Ryan by the way. Ms. McKade was my mother and she's been gone for a while now."

Leaving Reese office Ryan lets the door fall softly shut behind her moving her way through where Susanne was and than out into the cubicle area. Crossing that and coming to the infirmary Ryan gives it a small knock before entering. Giving a smile to Rick and Misty she says noting making her way over to Alec's bed.

"You look like your slightly better today. How do you really feel though?"

Ryan gives Alec a grin as she draws closer to the bed. The bruises were taking on a yellow color that at least mean they were healing.

Leaning in Ryan press her lips to Alec's to say hello her hand finding the side of is face letting it linger for a long moment before pulling away to let him answer her questions.

Entering Dr. Hawks office Hope offers a smile and lets the bag from her shoulder slip down to the ground as she sat down in one of the very comfortable chairs. Hearing the Dr wanted to fill her in on a few things made Hope feel good knowing they wanted to keep in the loop. Not only because Scott was her pashent but because of her close bond with him too.

Just listing and nodding her head slightly Hope took in what the Dr was saying with an open mind. Happy to have what someone else though about the situation out on the table so maybe she could see another angle.

"Thats a very intresting though you have about Scott's eating and it does making a lot of sense. So in a way its not his own fault, he just needs to train himself again. I would guess as well he is in a consistent about of pain mentally, and physically that maybe he cant even tell hunger pains apart from the other things he is feeling."

The wheels in Hope's head starts turning thinking and continuing to process everything. It was important to take in everything and remember the details.

As Dr Hawks starts to talk again Hope eyes seem to change a little. It hurt to think Scott didn't even want to take pictures anymore when it had been something he'd loved so much. Thats why she made sure to bring his camera with them.

"Yes, I can take it and put it in my car. That way when Scott is ready it will be there for him. Hearing something like he threw an item that meant so much to him away really stings you know because its a sure sign of just how far he's drifted."

Letting out a sigh and running a hand over her tired face Hope nods again. She'd told Scott she would come ever day no matter if he wanted to see her or not and she was happy the Dr agreed.

"Yes, I figured it would be the best thing even if he didn't want to see me I would come letting him know I was here, keep myself busy someplace for about an hour and than let him know when I was going again. I figured it would help him show I wasn't giving up on him, and I would be there when he was ready. I am happy you agree with me on that Dr. I do thank you for keeping me posted on what was going on as well."

Busy trying to tape on of the binding of a book that desperately needed to be throw out, Libby had refused to do so yet. If she could just get the tape to hold in the right place the book could at least get a years more use. Wrapped up in her work and having earphones in she hadn't hurt Ty enter the room.

As the song ended though that she was listing to Ty talked at the same time so she could hear him. Giving a jump Libby takes the ear phones from her ears and turns in her chair putting the book she was working on down.

Seeing Ty standing there a smile spreads across Libby's face. It was a nice surprise to see him there. Standing from her chair she looks back at the books and gives a little laugh.

"As hard as I can. You'd never believe how long it takes to repair just one book. Feels like I am never going to catch up."

Looking back to Ty again her eyes sparkle her heart giving a little flutter. She really was happy he had come to see her and only hoped it was not because he had ill news to tell her.

"It's a nice surprise to see you. I thought for sure by now you would be fast asleep in dream land."

Hard at work

Reese sighs deeply, having to agree with Phinox. "Yeah... I think you're right. I just wish I knew what he was scared of... or what he thinks he needs to be scared of. There's got to be a missing piece somewhere."

Leaning back, he scans his desk and holds up his hands. "I guess that's it for now. Thanks, Phinox. I may come to you again."

Ty grins a little as Libby gets comfortable with him, liking everything from her hand in his, to her foot wrapping around his. It just felt... good. Would he feel stupid tomorrow? He had no idea. But he might as well live and enjoy now for what it was worth and worry about feeling stupid later.

Eventually, it was Wyatt who broke up the scene as he got home from work to find both asleep on the couch. It was late, and Ty hated to say goodnight, but he knew he must. So all that was left was watching Libby drive away as he stood on the porch, tracking the tail lights of her pickup until they were gone.

By noon the next day, Alec is sitting up in bed, starting to feel better as his bruises have begun to lessen. Still in pain though, he doesn't move around much yet, mostly sleeping or bothering Misty when she walked by. Supper with Ryan last night had been enjoyed, though he would rather not have had the audience of Rick... however when coming up for air after a goodnight kiss, Rick was suddenly nowhere to be found.

Ryan had said she'd be back today, so Alec waited - he had nothing better to do. Little did he know that Ryan was already here, but Reese had summoned her into his office.

Reese looks across his desk at Ryan, very calmly, almost gently. "Miss McKade... I know we don't have a great history here, so I'll make this brief. All I ask is that you hear me out."

He sighs, knowing Ryan probably wouldn't like what he had to say. "Another agent and I suspect that Alec is lying about his kidnapping. We're not sure why or for what gain, but I need not list all the things he's contradicted himself with, telling us his story. It's very obvious that he's lying. The problem is, that we need to know why."

He purses his lips. "Contrary to what you may think, I'm not out to get Alec and I'm not trying to trap him or prove he's bad. This is for his own safety, and for all ours too. Playing around with the Agency is extremely dangerous and we need to figure out why Alec is lying before it's too late."

Reese pauses, searching Ryan's eyes. "If you know anything, or if Alec tells you anything differently than he already has, please.... please for everyone's safety, let me know. But as long as we know Alec is lying, I can't let him out anymore. We need to know the truth."

"Glad to see you again, Doctor Garrison." Dr. Hawks smiles as he sits down on the corner of his desk in his office, having taken time to talk to Hope when she'd arrived to see Scott again.

"I just thought I'd let you know a few things before you saw Scott again. I have some concerns, and I guess I wanted to know your perspective and just forewarn you as well."

He folds his hands and shifts a little, thinking. "Scott still isn't eating. He had a piece of bread and some juice last night, but that's all he had the night before, too. He says he isn't hungry. Personally, I think it's been so long since he's eaten well and regularly, that he's forgotten what hungry feels like. Even when he was in a state of improvement, it would be my guess that he wasn't eating all that well then either. He's let himself get so far that hunger isn't important to him anymore. He doesn't know when his body is asking for food. That's half the battle - the other half is making him actually care enough to learn how to eat again."

Dr. Hawks sighs, though he doesn't want to worry Hope too much. He did want to be honest with her though. "Scott's aid, Jenny, who you met, she told me that she found Scott's camera in the garbage yesterday morning. She took it to lot and found so it wouldn't be thrown away. I thought perhaps you would like to take it instead though. I read that photography was Scott's main hobby, so I'm assuming he threw his camera out as a statement that his hobby doesn't matter while he's here. He feels his life has been taken from him, so what's the point in trying to do something he enjoys."

Pausing again, Dr. Hawks lets Hope process everything he was telling her. "Obviously you know very well the psychological patterns of patients, though I'm sure it's different being as close as you are to Scott. I know he probably doesn't want to see you but... even if he hates you, your persistence and consistency in coming is one of the best things you can do."

It was pretty unusual to see Ty in a library, for obvious reasons. There wasn't much point to him being there when he couldn't read, and usually he was sleeping during the hours it was open. He should be sleeping now since he had to work tonight, but the bike ride had felt good. It was a nice day out and the exercise had been what he needed.

Parking his bike out front, he spies Libby's truck and heads for the library's front door. Once inside, he isn't sure where to go, but asking directions, he finds the stairway that leads downstairs. Wandering around for a few minutes, he finally finds the room where Libby was working. Ambling in, he looks at all the books around him, his nose catching the scent of old books and dust. "Hey... looks like someone's hard at work."

Wrapped up

Phinox thinks for a long moment on what Reese was saying and all the questions he had. It might have been a while since he was with the Agency but he had made a job out of remembering everything he could. His training, the training of other along with other stuff only to be able to help the Elite that much more.

"If he really was set back here by the Elite from my experience he would in fact do a whole lot better with his lying. With his story each time its something different and that causes holes and gaps. Trying to over up for people like the Agency you wouldn't want to cause holes because we would start looking into it."

Straightening a little more in his chair Phinox falls quest again thinking for a long moment just letting the silence in the room take over. Processing everything in his own mind before he spoke again.

"The Agency knows he's been here, they wouldn't feed him back in forth because they know we have people like Carson on our side. We can make him tell us anything about the Agecny if held onto long enough. They wouldn't risk it like that. It would be better for them to kill Alec off and send someone new in undercover than have someone who had been captured."

Standing and pacing a little Phinox brings a hand to his chin. He wasn't sure why Alec would be lying to be honest, and he didn't have a full answer for Reese. His only thoughts were assumptions and putting half peaces together.

"If I was to guess by his actions I would say he's scared and thats why he is lying. Working for the Agency again...No I don't think so I think they would of killed him where he stood even after he said he told us nothing. It feels like he's lying because he's running from something as to what..I don't know. It could very well be the Agency did try to kill him."

Moving up to the couch with Ty Libby didn't object as she make herself comfortable in front of Ty. Leaning her head down on top of the pillow Libby let out a content sigh. Would this last longer than a day? Libby didn't know but she did hope. Being with Ty was so nice, and the way he treated her made her feel so good compared to those at home.

Keeping her fingers locked with Ty's Libby said nothing laying there with Ty. His arm around her she felt safe, and ready to watch the rest of the movie now. Her foot finding his Libby links it around his just resting it there, being totally wrapped up with Ty.

Rewind

Ty didn't know how long they'd been embracing or how long the slow kiss had continued. He had not expected to experience this with Libby, but now that he was here, it felt so good.

Eventually he knows that they need to pull away, lest they make some bad decisions. But he lets the kiss linger for a few more moments, drinking in the last bit of incredibly warm feelings. Drawing back slightly, a smile comes to his lips and he gives Libby's nose a soft little kiss. "I think we both won," he concludes quietly.

Still grinning, he pulls himself up, relieving the weight from Libby. Helping her up off the floor too, he keeps her hand in his, pulling her back to the couch with him. Then lying on his side, he eases her down with him so she could lie in front of him. With his chin right above her head, he could still see the television, and his arm drapes around her waist, tucking her in closely to him, her back against his stomach and chest.

Kissing the top of her head, he settles his own head into a throw pillow before finding the remote and rewinding the movie.

Reese lets out a little groan and rubs his forehead wearily. "Why is he lying?" He looks over to the chairs on the other side of the desk where Phinox was sitting after bringing the report on Alec. "And he's not even doing a good job." He shrugs. "That would indicate panic to me... but why? I mean, you're right - any decent Agency member is going to not only have a keen sense of direction, but they could lie through their teeth and no one would ever know. Alec is messing up his story big time."

Still thinking, he shakes his head. "Maybe he wanted it to seem real... you know, an average person might contradict themselves a few times if they'd been through trauma like a kidnapping. But would he really think that we would view him as average? But then we're still back to square one - why would he lie at all?"

Looking at Phinox, he just lets the wheels in his mind turn for a few moments. "Do you think he was sent back here for a purpose? I mean... bad intentions from the Agency? Make it look like they tried to kill him, then send him here to feed them information? He should still lie better if that was the case, but setting that aside, it's possible, isn't it? I mean, he's been helping us a bit lately, sure but... if they made a better deal with him or he finally got that freedom he wants... do you think he would come back here and double-cross us?"

Not Yet

Keeping her hands on Ty's back Libby doesn't stop rubbing liking the way his skin felt under her fingers. So warm, so comforting along with his arm wrapped around her. The warmth seemed to spread across her body.

Feeling the kiss on her neck it sends a chill down her spin causing her to shutter slightly at the feeling that felt so good. Her fingers pressing a little harder on Ty's back now happy she never grew her finger nails out or she would of scratched him.

Looking into Ty's eyes now Libby saw the look that seemed to ask her if this was ok, not wanting to startle her or over step any line. Seeing that look alone Libby felt at ease not nervous other than the butterflys that fluttered in her tummy from her feelings. Libby new Ty wouldn't hurt her.

As if a confirmation feeling Ty's lips on hers again she can feel how light and soft it was. Taking his time, and not rushing the moment taking great care in not being to rough with her. For that she was thankful.

Returning the kiss Libby took just as much caution in the kiss not really knowing what she was doing, but just following how everything felt. Not wanting to startle Ty ether she lets him lead, as she follows with her own soft passion that deepens with his. The feeling was new, and she liked it certainly not wanting to give it up just yet.

Um.....

Ty's fingers in Libby's hair tighten just a little as her lips kiss his ear. Her hands moving on his back felt so good, he didn't want to leave. Time and goals for the afternoon were forgotten.

He tilts his head a little, squirming against the tickling sensation of her kiss on his ear. "I don't know," he replies quietly. "I think you might have... won this one."

Shifting his weight, he keeps one hand behind her head, the other moving up to cradle her cheek, his thumb running along her jaw line and across her lips. Another chill runs down his spine and for just a moment, he closes his eyes and just enjoys the slow back rub.

His eyes come open again searching hers, wondering if this was real or if tomorrow they would feel utterly stupid about the whole thing. Right now though... he didn't really care. Leaning his head back down again, he kisses her neck softly, breathing in the scent of her hair.

Moving his lips back up again, he isn't sure if she really wanted to stay here or not... he'd get up any time she told him to. But as long as her warm hands were rubbing his back, it only served to keep him here. Without giving himself time to think about it, he puts his lips over hers again, kissing her gently, slowly, gradually deepening, cautious and careful of her response.

Let you win

Her own heart still racing Libby looked up into his eyes continuing to just look. Feeling his singal to keep moving her hands, and having his ok Libby's hands stand to move up and down Ty's back and sides once again. Her finger tips light mapping out every bump, every curve, ever muscle.

Feeling his head lean onto her shoulder Libby leans her own head against his for a moment listing to what he said. Her hands just continuing to move as her heart raced and on the inside her emotions took a total turn to the warm feeling her felt.

Turning her head into Ty's Libby's lips brush Ty's ear as she gives it a light kiss. Her words coming out as a whisper her lips still close to his ear.

"If you want...this time, I can let you win."

I don't know

Not having expected any such move from Libby, her warm palms on his skin makes him shudder. Looking down at her, he blinks, all of a sudden not wrestling anymore. As he's pulled closer, his arms slip from between them so his hands rest on the floor again to partially hold his weight.

Too stunned to even fight, he suddenly feels their lips pressing together. It sent a chill down his spine, and he wonders how on earth this had happened. As Libby pulls away, his heart his racing, his face red from the wrestling and now this. He could still feel her hands on his back and he moves just a little, encouraging her palms to move again.

Swallowing hard, he doesn't even know what to say to her apology. "I... no, its.... fine."

He stops again, feeling partly in control and good, and partly stupid. "You're not... playing fair." He meant it to be a teasing chide, but for some reason, the humor fails miserably and he's left just still staring down into her eyes.

Finally just letting his hand slide on the carpet, he lowers his chest again, tucking his hands under Libby's head to cradle it. His face slips down next to hers so his chin rested in the crook of her neck and shoulder. "I don't know who has the upper hand now," he murmurs.

O.O *COUGH*

Finding it kind of humorous that Ty could lift her without even using his hands it confirmed to she really was light. But being throw back once again Libby laughs. Not commenting on Ty's words to her she just stairs into his eyes for a long moment. Almost hypnotized by them.

"I do have one more trick up my sleeve but...I don't know you might hate me afterwords."

Continuing to look up at him she contemplates for a long moment. She could just say she gave in and be done with it, but something just said she couldn't.

As her impulses took over Libby brought her hands to Ty's side once again. This time for a much different reason. Slowly bringing her hands under Ty's shirt her touch was soft as them ran upside side her finger tips against his skin. Feeling the ripples, and muscle Libby could tell he worked out regularly. Finally letting her fingers slip to his back her hands lay flat as she pulls a little drawing Ty closer to her.

Libby's heart raced as she as she leaned into his turning her head slightly. LIbby's eyes fall shut as her lips press against Ty's. Lost in the moment Libby let the kiss linger before pulling away. Her own cheeks were red, and her eyes wide just a little bit with the sudden realization of what she just did. Though she hadn't not liked the kiss she didn't know how Ty was going to react and the last thing she wanted was to scare him away.

"I'm...I'm sorry I...shouldn't have...I...Sorry."

Her hands still linger on Ty's back her fingers move just a little over his skin as she looking away before finding his eyes again. A shy twinkle lingered in her eyes still wondering if she has scared him away or not.

So much

Ty gives a little wail, partly from surprise and partly from not wanting to hurt Libby. Somehow amidst the tangle, he winds up on his back once again, this time looking straight up into Libby's face.

Panting heavily, he could see her moving with his own breath as his abdomen moved up and down with air. "You twerp." Talking, however, was the wrong thing to do as some of Libby's stray strand of hair wind up in his mouth. Managing to spit them out, he blows the rest of the strands away from her face and out of the way.

"You think you got me, eh?" A playful glint sparkles in his eyes.

Strong enough from working out every day, even without the help of his captured hands, he manages a sit up, straining against Libby's hold and the gravity that held her on him. Once sitting up, his arms are free to twist from her grasp and wrap around her torso, holding her in his lap. "Mm... comfy," he teases, his face so closer to hers that their noses bump.

Giving a last heft of muscle, he knocks Libby over backward, letting himself be on top all over again. Folding his arms in so she couldn't hold his wrists, he crouches, trying to to squish all the air out of her. "So much for your upper hand."

Upper Hand

Squinting his eyes Phinox continues to look at Alec as he looking into the mans eyes. No Agency member was bad with directions. It was part of there job to know.

"Yeah, We are done..for now."

Standing Phinox turns the chair back around and heads out of the infirmary before going back to his cubicle. He'd write he report up quick before bringing it to Reese. Could they trust Alec? Phinox didn't know but something didn't sit well.

Finding a can of soup and some crackers for Alec Misty had warmed it up and had it nicely on a try along with some fruit juice. Making her way back to the infirmary and entering the smile was still on her face.

"I did find some chicken noodle, crackers and some apple juice for you."

Moving one of the tray tables with wheels over closer to Alec Misty places it down pushing it in front of him a little more.

"Try and eat as much as you can. Just let me know when your done."

Stepping away Misty heads back over to her desk and pull some papers out, getting to work once again with her side project.

As she goes flying off the couch and to the floor with Ty Libby lets out another shriek that is followed by a bunch of laughing trying to squiggle and squirm out from under Ty. Seeing it wasnt working Libby stops as she gasps for air from the struggle. Looking up at Ty her smile was still on her face the wheels in her head turning.

"Oh yeah...well I'm gonna..."

Libby looks around her for some kind of opening. One thing turned to the next though and she new one way to get out of Ty's hold. Impulse took over as she moved quickly.

"..I'm gonna do this."

Bring her hands to the inside of Ty's arms she gives a quick trump to his elbows watching his arms buckle under him. Bringing her hands to her own check again quickly she stops him to smacking into her but now he was close to her face. Giving a slight twist of her hips Libby rolls Ty being under her once again as she was laying on top of him with a hold of his own hands. Panting for breath again her face was so close to his now she could feel his breath on her skin.

"Looks like I got the upper hand again."

Tables turned

Alec's eyes narrow slightly. "I know the drill, Phinox. If I knew more than that, don't you think I'd tell you? It's my butt on the line here. I wanna put these Agency thugs out of their misery for pulling this stunt. If I remembered more, I could tell you."

He sighs. "I was too out of it to get a good look at anything once I was out of the house. All I know is I walked quite a ways before anything was familiar. I'm not good with directions. Maybe it was the east end of town, I'm not sure."

Tapping his mattress with a finger, he shows impatience. "Can we be done now?"

Giving a yell, the pillow goes flying. Ty squirms under Libby's tickling, half laughing, half shouting at her to stop it. "Cut it out!" He gasps for air, fighting to grab her wrists. "I can't breathe! Stop!" Still laughing, his sides start to ache, his face beet red. "You turkey!"

Finally able to latch onto her wrists, Ty gives a little buck, sending her off the couch. Knowing exactly what he was doing, he rolls with her so when they land on the floor, he's on top and in control this time. Breathing heavily, he grins. "See what you get? Huh?"

Getting his legs up under himself, he kneels with a knee on each side of her, sitting on top of her and looking down, still grinning. "That'll teach you to tickle me. Now whatcha gonna do, hmmm?"

Till the day I die...

Letting out another sigh as Scott pulls away Hope stands herself. A few tears ran down her cheek but she quickly whipped them away.

"I'll be back tomorrow, and if you choose to not see me again, than I wont make you. But ever day I will be here for you Scott and even if I am not in this room I will be here somewhere for a few hours."

Turning and heading twords the door Hope opens it stopping for a moment before she turned around to Scott again.

"I'm going to find a way to help you with your nightmares, and all the information locked in your head. I don't know how, but I'm not giving up till I do. I'll keep searching till the day I die to help you Scott."

Exiting the room before he could reply Hope lets the door fall shut. She'd be back tomorrow just like she had told Scott. Even if it was another trip to the library they had here maybe she could find a book that would help her somehow.

Listing to Alec's story Phinox jots down a few notes as he talks while other stuff is left in his own memorie. He'd remember when he went to type up his report, words were something he'd been trained well in taking in and remembering. Often when with the Agency there was no time to take notes while beating answers out of someone.

"Where did Ryan leave you off again? A parking lot but how far from here? After you escaped what way did you head to get to Ryan's east? West?"

Phinox thinks for a long moment contemplating a few things Alec said they didn't make seance to him about the Agency. It was very rare they used duck tap and not rope. And a car? Since when did the Agency us cars and not there vans, and a building so close it wasn't a base Phinox was familiar with. These things he would highlight in his report for Reese and let him in on them.

"How about after you escaped? Any land marks you can pin point that might be able to tell us where you were, or where this Agency group might be hiding out? Every little detail counts here Alec so I need you to remember every little thing u can."

Giving a little shriek of her own Libby jumps closer to Ty being startled by what just happened in the movie. Seeing the popcorn go everywhere it startles her again being so into the movie is was almost like it might happen as she she jumped away from Ty this time onto the other side of the couch.

Panting for air as her heart raced a she hears Ty laugh and for a moment she figured he was laughing at her. A grin forms on her face, the pillow being over Ty's head it was perfect opportunity, he wouldn't see her coming.

Moving slowly and quietly she gets closer to Ty till she jumps on top of him one leg on ether side pilling his own legs down. Bringing her hands to his sides she wiggles her fingers as she laughter starts.

"Now I am giving you something to laugh about when you scared the crap out of her you goober."

Scared

Scott shakes his head a little, but doesn't pull away. "I have to get used to being alone anyway," he mumbles into the blanket. "You might as well leave. Just... go."

Curling up tighter, he tenses, trying to stop shaking. "I don't want to see anybody anymore."

Alec is just settling back to wait for some food, when his thoughts are interrupted by Phinox. Quirking an eyebrow, he isn't sure why Reese didn't just compile his own information, but they did a lot of things backwards around here.

Sighing, he closes his eyes again. "I already told Reese," he grumbles. "Ryan let me off... I walked a ways, and these guys caught me from behind. They blindfolded me and put me in their car. We drove for like five or ten minutes, then they dragged me out into some building. We went upstairs and they tied me to a chair."

He pauses in thought, opening his eyes to see if Phinox was taking notes. "There were three for four guys I guess, I don't know. Might have been a woman. Kept asking me about the Elite but I wouldn't tell them anything, so they beat me up. After a day or two, I finally managed to rip off the duct tape and I got out. Didn't know where I was, but I went down the sidewalk and found a familiar street. Went to Ryan's... end of story."

Ty is rigid on the couch, a bowl of popcorn clutched in his hand as he sat next to Libby. It was a tense action movie they were watching and it was a suspenseful scene. Ty's eyes watch, waiting, not having seen this movie before.

All of a sudden, someone appears on screen out of nowhere, threatening one of the main characters. It was done in such a way that it was startling, but it takes Ty completely by surprise. Jumping so violently, his popcorn goes flying. "Good grief!" He puts a hand over his heart. "Holy cow..." Seeing the mess of popcorn, his face reddens and he starts to laugh, feeling like a complete idiot.

Glancing over to Libby, he keeps laughing, falling onto his back and pulling a throw pillow over his face.

To the chase

Continuing to sit with Scott on the floor rubbing his back with one hand, and slipping her own into his other Hope just lets Scott talk for a moment. If he at least talked to her a little bit than that was a start.

"Because Scott forgetting wont help you like you think. You want to get this to go away, you want to be your old self again right? Forgetting...is not the answer to that. It will only make it worse."

Letting out a small sigh Hope thinks for several long moments. It still hurt inside to see Scott like this, and she new till he was better the pain would not go away. She cared to much for him for it to just go away like that.

"I was going to head home now but if you want me to stay a little longer with you if only just to sit here, I will."

Misty gives a nod and a sweet smile that was followed by chuckle. She didn't want him to starve even if she new he wouldn't just from missing a meal.

"Ok, let me see if I can find any soup and crackers for you. I'll be right back."

Giving Alec's arm a pat Misty heads to the her desk putting a few things away she was working on and than make her way out of the infirmary.

Looking up at Reese from his cubicle that was hardly used Phinox gives a nod to Reese. He was always on call if Reese needed him and was happy to be helping out anyway he could.

"Sure, I'll go now and see what I can find out for you."

Grabbing a clip bored and some paper Phinox exits his cubicle and heads to the infermary clipbored in hand. Giving a smile and a nod to Misty as he passed her coming out as he was going in.

Moving over to the bed he grabs a chair and swings it around so he can drap his hands over the back. Giving a clear clear if his throat Phinox waists not time in telling why he was there.

"Hi Alec, don't need to introduce myself because you already know who I am so I should just get down to business. I need to get a statement from you on what happened when you were taken."

Phinox lets out a long breath looking up at Alec. He eyes lacked emotion though they weren't cold, but stone like they had been shaped by the world he had lived in for so long.

"I know you already answered Reese questions but now its time for me to take everything down again so I can write up a report later, and put on file. So if you can start at the top with what happened we can get this done and over with so I wont have to bother you anymore."

Forget

Alec takes the pills he's given and sinks back down into his pillow. He might as well take advantage of his situation. If he retaliated too much, Rick would throw him back downstairs and he really didn't want to be cooped up again this soon.

"I didn't," he confirms. "Something.... soft would be nice." He touches his jaw gingerly. "I think they didn't want me to ever eat again."

Reese stops on his way back to his office, leaning over Phinox's cubicle. "Hey..." His tone is contemplative... thoughtful. "I just got done talking with Alec about his experience... And I don't know... he seems to be contradicting himself. I wondered if maybe when you had time, if you could go just ask him a few questions... tell him you need to get a report together for me - which is true. And... we'll compare notes afterward. I know when someone is taken, they might not remember things correctly and they might say one thing one time, and something else another but... I don't know. I just have a strange feeling about it."

Scott hears Hope's voice and feels her hand on his back. He nods numbly that he was okay. "I... I must have fallen."

His fingers clutch the blanket tightly, making his knuckles white. If the doctor hadn't made him think about his nightmares, he probably wouldn't have had another one now, during the day. "Why can't they leave me alone?" he asks hoarsely... quietly, but with anger. "Why do I have to talk about it? It just makes them worse."

Still trembling, he doesn't try to get up off the floor yet and just tries to calm his racing heart as he becomes cold from his own sweat. "I want to forget... I just want to forget."

More than you

Feeling Ty's arms go around her for a moment she just stood there not sure what to do next. It wasn't bad, and it didn't scare her but it was something she'd never had happen before not even from her parents so she wasn't sure what to do. But finally a wamth seems to wash over her, and it was a good warmth that made her feel wanted.

"Popcorn, I can defiantly deal with that."

Once Ty's hands slip from her shoulders Libby can feel her own cheeks turn a little red herself as she composes herself. Leading the way to her truck and getting in Libby gives a smile to Ty. Her cheeks were still a rosy color, but most of them time they were like that when she was around Ty.

Looking down at Alec after his comment Misty blinks for a moment just staring at him for a second. He did remind her of a younger version of Carson. Though it didnt knock her off guard for long it did bring a smile to her face.

"I think your more like him than you know."

Going over to the cabinet Misty looks for some of the lower dose of pain killers they had. Grabbing a few and than fill a paper cup with water she brings it back over to Alec and hands it to him.

"Can't knock you out with these but they will kill some of the pain for now. Do you want anything to eat? Doesn't look like you had anything this morning."

Glancing down at her watch Hope takes note to what time it was realizing she had been sitting there for longer than planed in depth in the book she had picked to read.

Standing and taking the book back to where she had gotten it from Hope gives a stretch. She should probably start heading home so she didn't over stay her welcome.

Heading back to Scott's room one more time before she went home. Knocking on the door and opening it slight Hope's heart stops when she see Scott on the floor. Worry over takes her as she slips in the rest of the and squats down next to Scott. Gently she reaches out to rub his back.

"Hey Scott...what happend? Are you ok?"

Popcorn

Ty puts his brakes on, but not fast enough, having not realized Libby was going to stop so quickly. Having her bump into him, he looks down into her eyes and grins, not caring that she was leaning back on him a little. Not even thinking, his arms wrap around her teasingly but warmly, his eyes seeming to smile along with his lips.

"Sounds like a plan to me. But we gotta stop by the store on the way home and get some popcorn for when we watch the movies. That is an absolute must."

As if suddenly realizing jut what position they were in, a bit of color comes to his cheeks and he lets her go, putting his hands on her shoulders instead and clearing his throat. "Yeah so... lead the way." Pushing her the rest of the way through the door, he steers her by her shoulders and remains walking behind her so the heat in his face can subside by the time they get back to her pickup.

For one of the first times, Alec seems to have lost some of his bitter edge with Misty. He cringes a little as she checks him over, giving something close to a short laugh. "Yeah... fast healer. I'll show them. I highly doubt I'm like Carson though."

He shifts a little, trying to get comfortable. He hadn't had anything for the pain this morning since Reese had wanted him completely with it for their little questioning session. "You got anything to knock me out?" he mumbles. "Other than your hot looks?"

Scott hadn't been able to help it. He'd been so tired. He'd only drifted off fifteen minutes ago, but it had been enough, and the nightmare had returned. They didn't usually attack during the day, but after so little sleep last night, the images had seized their chance.

Jolting from his sleep, Scott's hands have the bed's blanket in a vice grip. But he wasn't in bed. Somehow he'd wound up on the floor - it was probably what had woken him. Shaking from head to toe, he was sweating and his heart was racing.

3/16/10

Bump

Giving a laugh and picking up her cup again Libby takes a nice long drink putting it down, grabbing a few more fry and than taking her back pack and standing up to put it on.

"Well I have the truck soooo..."

Libby started to walk out the door making sure Ty was close behind her before she stops right before the door and takes a step back bumping her back into his chest. Looking over her shoulder she gives Ty a smile as her eyes sparkle a little bit.

"..Since you don't have to work we can go to the park for a walk, than go to your place if you like and maybe watch some movies. I'm in no hurry to go home."

Hearing Alec's voice Misty looks up from her desk a smile that had not left her face for stays still formed on her lips. A new light filled her eyes since he had been back, people might not think going from Misty Miller, to Misty Banks was a big thing but to her it was totally something different.

Coming over to Alec Misty looks down at him shaking her head a little. A laugh almost slips out but she stops it in time.

"Alec Banks...looks like you were in a bar fight. Getting yourself into trouble while I was away I see. Just like your brother you are."

Leaning in to look at some of Alec's cuts and scraps some more to make sure they weren't getting infected.

"Looks like your cuts are healing nicely, and the sticks too. I guess your a fast healer."

Making her way to the library Hope looked through the books seeing what kind of reading materiel they had to take her mind off of things for a while.

Finally finding something to read Hope picks a overstuffed chair and sits down in the sun light. She would read for a little while and than go see Scott once more before leaving for the day.

Embarrassed

"How many were there?"

"I just told you I couldn't see!"

"You said 'they' came up behind you."

"Well it sounded like more than one, I don't know."

"They didn't address you? Call you by your name?"

"I don't know. I was in a panic." Alec sits across from Reese in the interrogation room, holding one hand to his ribs. He felt terrible, but he'd been dragged over here to talk anyway. "Look, I told you. Ryan let me off, I started to walk and the next minute, I've got a blindfold on and I'm being pulled into a van."

Reese squints. "I thought it was a truck."

"No, I said van."

Reese turns his notepad around and points to the word "truck" he'd written.

Alec shrugs. "I meant van."

"How long did it take you to get where you were going?"

"Probably half an hour."

Reese looks at his notes again. They said fifteen minutes. "So they took you somewhere and started to question you."

"Yeah. Set me down in a chair and started asking me questions about the Elite."

"What did you tell them?"

"Nothing."

"You sure?"

"Yes!" Alec cringes, as he got too excited and his body hurt. "I didn't tell them anything."

"So that's all they wanted? Was to know about the Elite?"

"How many times do I have to tell you that?"

"What about how you escaped? Why do you think they didn't just kill you off?"

Alec shrugs. "How should I know. You know how erratic Medridge is. Maybe they just wanted to scare me."

"How did you escape exactly?"

Alec sighs. "I already told you. I slipped my ropes and when I heard there was no one upstairs, I made a run for it."

"You ran... in your condition?"

"Well hobbled. Adrenaline. How should I know? I just got out of there as fast as I could and kept going."

Reese looks at his notes one more time. Duct tape, not rope. "And why did you head to Ryan's instead of here?"

"I thought you wouldn't believe me. Figured you'd think I double-crossed or something. She convinced me to come back here. End of story." Alec closes his eyes for a moment, just wanting to lie down. "Can we be done now?"

"Mm-hmm." Reese closes his notepad and nods. "Sure. Thanks, Alec. We'll talk more when you're feeling better."

"Yeah... whatever." Alec slowly rises from his chair and walks, slightly bent, back to the infirmary where he knew the bed still was. Making it inside, he simply slides onto the bed and lies on his good side, trying to relax. Something felt odd though. Opening one eye, he realizes that he isn't alone. It wasn't Rick though, it was Misty.

"Mm... sister-in-law back from her honeymoon, I see." He closes his eyes again. "Don't let me fool you... I'm fine... really."

Reese sighs and looks at his notes again. Alec was lying. He had to be. The more he was questioned, the more his story changed. But why? Why would he lie? Had he really been kidnapped? Or had he gone to the Agency of his own free will and was now back as a spy? Surely not, but... why else would Alec lie, unless he was guilty?

Dr. Hawks nods to Hope. "Thank you. This was a rough first time... I hadn't planned on things going quite like this yet but maybe it was for the best. I think I'm going to give Scott some space for a while... perhaps avoid these sessions until he's settled in more. I learned a lot today."

Standing, he offers a smile. "You're welcome any time as long as it doesn't upset Scott. Enjoy the library."

Scott takes a sip of water and sets his glass back down, curling up again on the bed. He had nothing to do... nowhere to go. But he didn't want to sleep. No, he didn't want to face the nightmares that awaited.

Looking towards the door, he wonders if Hope will stop by again before she leaves. Part of him wanted her to, and part of him just wanted her to stay away. He didn't know which emotion would win out in the end. It was all just so... hard. Did everyone know he was here? At the very least, it was embarrassing that he had been admitted here. What would people think if he ever got out of here? What would Sapphire think? or Dalton?

Ty gives a soft laugh and shrugs. "Yeah, maybe I could talk to Rick I guess. Maybe."

Drinking the rest of his pop, he shakes his head. "I don't care what we do. But I don't work tonight, so... I leave it in your hands. We can go to the arcade... go to my place... walk in the park... totally up to you."

Deal with

Squinting her eyes from across the table Libby was not about to give up on Ty just yet. She'd promised him she wouldn't, so she would keep her word. Besides that she cared about Ty to much to just forget everything.

"Well if you think there is something wrong...why not have your friend Rick check it out. Maybe there is something thats connected backwards or something and he can fix it."

Libby gives a wide smile as she takes a sip of her pop before continuing what she was saying.

"I like you to much to just give up like that. So maybe its something we could look into."

Giving a little shrug Libby gathers the books up that they had been looking at putting them in her backpack. She new Ty had enough for now and that last thing she wanted to do was continuing to push when he had enough.

"So, we still have a lot of day light to deal with...what do you want to do now?"

Entering the room Hope sat a little twords the back of the office not watching to crowd Scott, or Dr Hawking with what he was doing here. So sitting quietly she folded her legs and just sat to listen.

..With every word Scott said it was like another dagger to the heart. It hurt to think she really had hurt Scott this much. Just listing though she said nothing and though as Scott stormed away she wanted to break down crying she didn't. All she did was stand and walk a little closer to Dr. Hawks desk thinking about his question.

"Yeah, thought I haven't seen much I've been told about some episodes he has had. I think he's got a lot of anger built up inside of him along with everything else he can't explain."

Moving away from the desk Hope makes her way to the door again. Butting her hand on the knob Hope stops before turning back to the Dr.

"Thank you Dr. Hawks. I think I'm going to go check out the library you have here before I head home. So if you have any other questions just let me know."

Munchkins

Ty gives a little smirk and lifts his eyes to the sign that Libby was pointing at. "Kinda looks funny to me." He shrugs. "Doesn't look much different, Libby. I can see far away and up close just fine. If I was trying to read numbers, it wouldn't make any difference what distance it was."

Sighing, he shakes his head and looks back down at the table, thinking for a long moment. "Maybe... there's something wrong with me, ya know?" He holds up his hands quickly, knowing she would get after him. "I'm not talking stupid, okay? I may feel like it sometimes, but I know somewhere I'm not stupid. But... this just isn't seeming to help."

His fingers pick up a napkin to play with. "Maybe this is something I just can't do... maybe my brain just... I don't know... has a short in it somewhere or something." He looks to the tinted menu again and bites his lip, pondering the whole thing before glancing back to Libby. "Maybe it's time we just moved on."

Scott is quiet for the longest time before turning back around to look at Hope. He didn't understand how he'd gotten here or why this was happening. He was frustrated and felt like he was being caged up. Why would he want the person who brought him here, in on his session? Then again, maybe if she saw how miserable he was, maybe she would find a way to get him back out again. He shrugs. "Fine. If you-"

"Knock knock." Jenny's sweet voice rings out as she pokes her head in the door. She smiles at Scott, then notices Hope, smiling at her, too. "Dr. Hawks is down in his office," she informs. "Would you like to go talk to him now? I know it's early, but he said if you wanted to come now you could, since you were going to skip eating."

Scott sighs. "Sure. Whatever." He looks lamely at Hope. "Guess you got your way."

Jenny backs into the hall and waits for both Hope and Scott to lead them back downstairs and through a hall to where a comfortable office was. Dr. Hawks was behind a desk and there were several chairs around and a couch. Photographs of scenery hung on the walls and the atmosphere was warm and cheery. "Hello, Scott. Why, hello, Dr. Garrison." He nods, not questioning her presence. For the first time meeting with Scott, he didn't mind, and maybe Scott would be more comfortable with Hope here anyway...

...Dr. Hawks leans back in his chair, taking his time with Scott. So far the questions had been very light without any pressure and more boredom was happening than anything else. "Scott..." He jots down a note on his pad of paper. "Can you describe how you feel in one word?"

Scott's eyes narrow slightly as he slouches in his chair. "Are you asking me if I would, or if I'm capable?"

Though it was obvious which one, Dr. Hawks doesn't bat an eye. "Would you?"

"Methodical."

Now Dr. Hawks looks up, not sure how to take that one. "Methodical. Okay. Why that word?"

"Because I'm strategically planning how to behave around my so-called friends from now on so they don't stab me in the back again."

Dr. Hawks lets an awkward pause follow. "That statement makes me think you're pretty upset."

"Wanna trade places and find out for yourself?"

"At least I'd be surrounded by people who care."

"Or people who just wanna make a buck off of the loonies."

Dr. Hawks folds his hands on his desk. "Do you miss your house?"

"No, I miss my home."

"Your friends?"

"What friends?"

Dr. Hawks purses his lips at Scott's bitter tone. It wasn't surprising, but still sad. These surface questions weren't going to get them anywhere though - that much was obvious. Dr. Hawks sensed the anger in Scott and knew that his problems ran deep. It was only the first day, but he needed to find out where Scott stood and where the pressure points were so they could work their way up. He knew a little bit from Hope and Reese so he decided to start probing, even though it was earlier than he wanted. On some patients, he would wait to hit a nerve, but he needed to see where Scott hurt the most.

"What do you dream about at night, Scott?"

Scott can feel his nerves immediately heighten and his fingers grip the arm of his chair. He refuses to look at Hope. She'd been there when he'd had a nightmare. She had seen how severe they were. "Clouds."

"Clouds."

"Yeah, you know, the white puffy kind. Well, sometimes they're kinda thin and wispy."

Dr. Hawks glances to Hope, knowing Scott was being dishonest. He clears his throat. "Okay. Are there ever people in your dreams?"

"Munchkins."

Dr. Hawks blinks. "Do you interact with these... munchkins?"

"Sure. We sing songs and dance around a yellow brick road."

Dr. Hawks finally sighs and sets his pen down. "Okay, Scott. Why don't you want to talk to me? Why won't you tell me the truth?"

Scott's voice develops a cold chill. "Because you might need to be committed afterward."

The sudden change in tone makes Dr. Hawks more curious. "Try me."

"No."

A chord had been struck. "Come on. Give me your best shot."

"No."

"One dream. Describe it for me."

"No!" Scott stands from his chair. The haunting pictures were already starting to come to mind.

"Okay, okay." Dr. Hawks holds up his hands. "Relax. We're not going to talk about anything you don't want to."

"Every time you drag me in here, it will be about what I don't want," Scott hisses. He leans down, placing his hands on Dr. Hawks' desk. "There are things running through my mind that would make your skin crawl. I've got enough trouble at night, I don't need my days ruined, too!" His palm slams down onto the desk, making everything rattle. "So either let me go, lock me up, or send me away. I was held prisoner once... I don't intend to be again." Spinning around, he stalks out of the room, slamming the door on his way.

Dr. Hawks lets out a long sigh, pursing his lips in thought. he looks to Hope, contemplating this episode. "You know, when I read what you and Reese gave me, I would have though Scott would be more passive... more scared and timid, and that's how he was last night. But this... He's got quite a little stronghold of anger inside of him. Have you seen this kind of behavior with him recently?"

...Scott slams shut his own door and goes to flop down on his bed, hugging his pillow tightly. Tears wanted to come, but he held them back. He had to live through his nightmares while he tried to sleep, why were they forcing him to think about them during the day too? Couldn't he have a few hours of relief? Did they want to make him even more crazy?

Scrunching his eyes shut tight, his blind eye burns, but he ignores it. He had drops to ease the pain but he lets it go this time. The pain felt good... it distracted from his inner pain.

Glasses

Ryan thinks for a long moment on her brother question. Lunch would be nice, get away out of the shop than for dinner she could bring something for Alec so he didn't have to suffer Hal's cooking again.

"No plans for lunch only for dinner, so...tell me where you want to go and I'll be there."

Looking up at her brother Ryan gives a smile. She hated that Eli broke her trust and it didnt feel good, but she still loved him and it was the only family she had. How could she be mad at him for long.

Continuing to look at Scott as he stands Hope heart breaks just a little more but her smile doesn't fade. Hope didn't bother trying to explain everything to Scott again because she new he wouldn't listen, and he would only feel the same as he did now. Scott just needed time she understood why he was still upset, it was normal. Hope only hoped he wouldn't hold onto it forever.

Just staying seated on the bed Hope looks around the room for a moment before looking back to Scott.

"Would you like me to go with you when you see the Dr.?"

Leaning back in the booth Libby lets out a long sigh. She wasn't frustrated with Ty, or upset she new he was trying his best. They always made some footholds but than after a day or two of not doing anything it was almost like they started at square one again.

Cocking her head a little bit as Ty read off the menu that was a little ways away she cocked her head. Interesting how he could read that but not that stuff that was in front of him.

"Ty, I know your trying and you can't give up. I had an idea..."

Libby thinks again for a moment bringing a hand to her lips as the wheels in her head started to turn.

"...have you ever seen a Dr Ty? Like...and eye Dr? Maybe you need glasses since the words look all run together."

Turning to the sigh that hung a few feet away Libby pointed to it?

"Can you read that?"

Ripped out of my hands

Eli stops his scrounging and raises his eyebrows. "Your dresser? How on earth....?" Shaking his head, he rolls his eyes. "Last week I found my wallet in the bathroom. One of these days, you'll find my brain in the refrigerator."

Closing the gap, he accepts his keys, but lingers a moment, looking down into his sister's eyes. Yesterday had been a tough day between them. He knew he'd broken some trust and though maybe not willing to say he would have done things differently, he felt bad for the rift. "You wanna do lunch with your brother today? Or... you got plans?"

Scott looks up dimly as Hope comes into his room. He wanted to be glad to see her... he wanted to feel the warm, happy feelings he usually got when looking into her eyes. But after yesterday... those feelings just didn't want to surface. Or maybe it really was him... maybe he really didn't want to feel them, so he kept them at bay.

Having her take his hand, he didn't know whether to return the gesture or not. Last week, they would have leaned back and kissed, enjoying a tender moment together. Today, a dark cloud loomed over them.

How was he? It felt like a silly question. And lunch? He'd rather not, let alone socialize.

Lowering his legs, he slides off the bed and walks away to look out one of the windows. "My whole life just got ripped out of my hands, Hope." His voice was quiet, but there was an underlying tone that was hurt and upset. "How do you think I am? I was doing my best and you and Reese just took my livelihood into your own hands and decided you knew better than me. I've been uprooted and taken away from my only comfort zone. And you ask how I am?"

Turning around, he folds his arms. "I don't really feel like eating right now," he concludes numbly. "I'm supposed to have some stupid evaluation session later and I don't fancy the idea of throwing up all over the doctor when he works me up with questions I'd rather not think about."

Shifting back to the window, one hand falls to the little table, his fingers running over the empty space where his camera had been yesterday. It just wasn't worth it anymore. Leaning an elbow up on the window frame, he stands just looking down at the ground below.

Ty gives a groan of frustration and slams the book shut, planting his face in his hands, his elbows resting on the diner table. After lunch, another reading session had begun, and he was getting nowhere. Libby was being so patient, but he was just growing more frustrated.

"I can't do it," he mumbles. "I just can't make any sense of those stupid letters. They don't even look like they're anything that could be sounded out."

Sighing, he looks back up at Libby, resting his chin on his hands. "I can't tell if I'm reading about Jane, June or Joan anymore." He didn't want to give up... he really didn't. But he wasn't getting anywhere. Every time they got together, it was like they were right back at the beginning again. He knew the alphabet. He knew the sounds. But once he tried to read, nothing made sense.

Glancing over to the little specials ad on the table, it was held in a rust colored transparent sleeve to show off drinks and desserts. "Now that - " He points to the list of items. "I see... iced tea... and a list of pop and... lemon pie. But this..." He opens the book again and puts his finger on the page that held a few simple sentences. "It just doesn't look the same! Was it a hill or a hall? Or maybe it's a bell." He shuts the book again and sighs. "I don't think I can do this."

Something Lost

Standing outside the door Phinox kept watch. Being pulled away from his other work was ok, he didn't mind a break and the guys that were finishing up the interior of the buildings new what they were doing. For now his post was here gun at his side, so if anything happened he was ready.

Exiting the bathroom as she ran a brush through her wet hair Ryan hears the front door close knowing her brother was off to work. She hadn't talked to him much since yesterday just not having the time, but today she was in a better mood so maybe a little later she would call him, if nothing else just to say hello.

Going back into her bedroom Ryan hears the front door again. Odd, usually Eli didn't double back. Glancing down at her dresser her realizes his keys were sitting there. That was odd, if Eli had gotten home late, that were they doing in her room? Question filled her mind but no time to figure it out she new Eli was late and needed them.

Throwing on her white tank top and than her button up auto shirt over top Ryan exits her room finding her brother searching around. Heading into the kitchen she grabs some coffee yelling into the living room.

"Looks like your trying to find something you lost."

Taking a sip of the warm liquid Ryan makes her way to the living room a smile on her face as she enters watching her brother search. Her eyes seemed a little brighter today than they were the other day. Having Alec back, it and knowing he hadn't run from her she felt ok.

Holding out her brothers keys Ryan clears her throat out to get his attachen.

"If your looking for these I found them in my room on my dresser."

Clipping her name tag to her shirt to ID who she was Hope makes her way through the building following the same path she had gone before. Taking in everything a little more than she had the day before. It seemed nice, clam and peaceful here, Hope liked the atmosphere it gave off.

Getting to Scott's room Hope knocks on the door before opening it a little. Entering and closing the door behind her Hope smiles at Scott. Coming over to sit down on the bed with him Hope takes his hand into hers.

"Hey Scott. How are you today?"

It made Hope sad to see the blank look in his eyes still. She hopped things would get better as the time moved on and if Scott just gave it a chance she new he would get help here.

"They are going to serve lunch soon, would you like to go with me to grab something to eat?"

Trashed

"Right... right." Alec gives Ryan a sidelong glance as she kisses his cheek, his fingers tightening a little around hers. "I think I'm just gonna... take a moment..." His eyes drift shut. "And... rest... or something..." Or something. He was already asleep too exhausted to stay awake any longer.

Rick keeps an eye on him for a while and eventually lets Ryan know that he should be find for the night and she could leave. With Alec still asleep, Rick leaves for a while as well, making sure Phinox was out in the hall to keep an eye on things, whether it was Agency or Alec pulling a fast one.

The night goes quietly without any mishaps. Alec sleeps most of it through and does pretty much what Rick tells him. At this point he was hurting enough that he really didn't care as long as he got more pain killers. By the time morning comes around, he's sitting up a little in bed and managing to eat a little for breakfast, but he was even more sore than the day before so Reese puts off the questioning until that afternoon.

Eli downs his cup of coffee on the way through the kitchen, late for work. He'd gotten home late last night, in time to just go to bed, so he hadn't yet spoken to his sister since she'd been upset with him about Alec. He'd decided it was better to just let the whole thing lie for now until it had cooled off a little bit.

Grabbing his jacket, he's out the door, only to realize he didn't have his keys. Back in the apartment, he scrounges around the kitchen, his bedroom, then to the living room, having no idea where he'd set his motorcycle keys.

Scott sits on his bed, his knees pulled up to his chest and his arms wrapped around his legs as he stares into nothingness. He didn't have his contacts with him, but he hadn't bothered using his glasses either. He'd just as soon not see anything clearly. Dr. Hawks was supposed to see him sometime today, but for now, he'd only left his room to go to the bathroom and to wander down one flight of stairs once. He'd ended up drinking a little juice and nibbling on some bread last night, but he'd refused breakfast this morning. No... he would just sit.... and wait. Wait for time to pass. Would Hope come? He didn't know. He didn't even know what he'd say to her if she did.

Jenny makes her rounds upstairs with a garbage sack, emptying waste baskets. It was usually the janitor's job, but during slow times, she gladly picked up the slack and helped out with some housekeeping as well as being an aid.

Checking the trash in the hall at the end of the second floor, she dumps the waste basket, but something seemed heavier than it should. Thinking she should check it, she rummages through the bag to find what had been so heavy. In the end, she pulled out two objects. One was a very expensive camera, and the other was a box of film. Furrowing her brow, she just looks at them, wondering why on earth they were here. No one on staff owned a camera like this that she knew of, or at least wouldn't have it here at work. And none of the... wait... She had seen this before. Yes, it had been on Scott's table last night. Then she remembers reading in his file that one of his pastimes was photography. Jenny knows without asking that he had thrown this away intentionally. Something about being here had made him feel that his hobby was useless. Whether it was because he thought there was no one to take pictures for, he was giving up on things he enjoyed because he wanted to be miserable, or because he thought now that he was here, that the hobby in itself had no point. Maybe it was a combination.

Jenny sighs, but doesn't return the camera to the trash. No, she would take it to the lost and found for now where they would keep it safe. If Scott stayed here long enough to recover, he might later regret having thrown it away. If he was ever ready again, his camera would be waiting.

In case

Ryan stays by Alec's side while Rick cleans him up, not getting in the way but not leaving again ether. She just wanted to make sure he was going to be ok. Not knowing Rick to well she assumed he new what he was doing after all She'd meet Misty once or twice when they came to see Axel before so and she worked for Rick so it couldn't be that bad.

Looking up and watching Rick and Reese for a second Ryan couldn't hear them but she could read there lips. They wanted someone to stay she wasn't sure the name though. Than again a lot of the names here she didn't know.

"They are putting someone out side to stand watch not because they don't trust you, but I bet it's because they think someone might come back looking for you since you got away. Last thing we want is for the Agency to get you again right?"

Pulling a chair up Ryan sits down next to Alec, her hand seeming to find his. Giving a grin she leans into him a little and give a soft kiss to his cheek.

Reese nods again. He hated telling all this to Sapphire, even though it had to be done. He knew he needed to tell Dalton about it too. "I think Hope is going to take care of Domino, but you can ask her about that. If you-"

His words are brought to a sudden halt as he sees Ryan and Alec and hears her shouting for him. "Good land... Sapphire, I'll keep you updated about Scott." Getting up quickly, he jogs towards Ryan and Alec, having no idea what really was going on. The Agency? Great.

Coming alongside, he takes some of Alec's weight. "It was the Agency?"

Alec nods, wincing as they move down the hall. "Yeah..."

"We thought you split on us."

"Do you really think I'd be back here if that were the case?" Alec hisses, cringing as they stop at the infirmary.

Reese shakes his head. "No. I'd have a harder time believing that one. Rick!"

Rick was right nearby and opens the door for them, his eyes widening. "Alec. Ryan? What on earth happened?"

"Agency," Reese confirms.

Rick knew that meant it was serious. The Agency was far from nice when it came to beatings. It had been proven one too many times. "Get him on the bed over there. Take off his jacket and shirt." He moves quickly to gather what he needs.

Alec bites his tongue from cursing as he's laid on the bed. Every bone in his body hurt. With Reese's and Ryan's help, he gets his jacket and shirt off, exposing the black and blue marks all along one side of his rib cage.

Rick is solemn as he comes back, taking it all in at a glance. "Pretty. Who cleaned up your face?"

Alec gestures to Ryan. "She did."

"Good." Rick nods to Ryan. "You did a good job. At least we can hold on that for a while. Looks like you might need some stitches though, Alec."

"Yay."

Rick smirks and sets about examining Alec. It takes longer than expected... Rick wanted to be sure that there were no rib fragments to cause any damage, so x-rays were taken. Eventually though, Alec is in bed again, this time to stay for a while. His ribs were taped and he had stitches in two places on his face. An ice pack had started to take the swelling from his eye, and pain killers had made it livable.

A bit groggy from it all, he looks over to Ryan. "Show's over." He waves at her.

Reese was still present. "Maybe for now. But you've got a lot of explaining to do."

"Now?"

"No. Tomorrow morning. Get some rest first." He wanders over to Rick, speaking more quietly. "I'm going to have Phinox spend the night on guard, just in case anything happens."

Alec catches Ryan's eye and shakes his head slightly. See? They didn't trust him, just like he'd said.

"Scott?" Jenny knocks on his door for the second time. Still receiving no response, she lets herself in slowly, seeing Scott was still curled up on the bed. Her warm smile returns and she approaches carefully. "Scott, are you awake?"

Scott opens his eyes and gives a little nod.

"We've got some supper downstairs. Some broccoli soup and homemade bread... do you feel like eating?"

Scott shakes his head, making no move to get up. His stomach hurt badly from not eating in over a day now. But he wanted nothing.

Jenny lets out a small sigh. "You know if you don't eat, the doctor will have to come in and take care of you. He'll move you to another building and put you on an IV and it's not any fun. You don't want that, do you?"

Scott shakes his head again.

"Well alright then... how about I bring you some bread and some fruit juice and you can eat it whenever you like?"

Scott nods numbly.

Jenny smiles. "Okay. I'll be back in a few minutes. Do you want grape juice or apple juice?" Receiving no response, her smile doesn't fade. "I'll bring you both and you can have what you want."

Left alone again, Scott finally moves. He was stiff all over and felt sick. Standing up, he wobbles a little before wandering over to one of his windows. It was growing dark. Lights dotted the grounds below and a few people were milling around outside. He slowly reaches out and places his palm on the cool class. And in his mind, he was in Hope's old office, standing at the tall window that he'd looked out of as he'd talked to her. It was warm and bright and peaceful. Then just as quickly, reality was back, and he was back in this little room again.

3/15/10

Please tell me...

Looking back up at Reese again Sapphire understood what he was say and she new Scott probably didn't want anyone right now. So even if she did want to run up there to see him she would wait.

"Yeah I understand whats your saying. Thank you for letting me know Reese. Is someone taking care of Domino while Scott is gone?"

Sapphire new she was going to have to tell her parents later, and she wasn't sure how they would take it. She could only hope it well, and find the right words to say to lesson the blow.

Hearing Alec's words sends a whole new chill down her spine. Alec really...missed her? It felt odd hearing him say that but it felt oh so good as well. It gave Ryan a whole new reason to want to help him all she could.

"I guess getting you to Rick would be smart huh before I killed you from sitting on you."

Moving a little Ryan opens Alec's side of the car and and gets out, before leaning down again and slinging Alec's arm over her shoulder and helping him out. Slowly making there way inside she new the down perfectly having been there so many times before.

Once inside the main floor she makes her way to the infirmary. Seeing Reese out of the counter of her eyes she yells for him.

"Reese...I need you help. Alec needs to see Rick. He's got some broken ribs and I don't know what else. The Agency kidnapped him that night when he was walking back here. Please tell me Rick is in."

Continuing to make her way with Alec twords the infirmary didn't let go. He wasn't heavy and she was use to haling car parts around all day to even mind anyways.

Later

Reese nods to Sapphire, remaining gentle. "People will be able to see him just about whenever they want. It's a good place up there... real friendly," he assures, nodding again. "We... we hope he'll be okay. He didn't want to go but... Hope and I got him there. It's just going to take some time... time and patience and prayer."

He stops for a moment, knowing there was more he better say. "If... you're thinking about visiting him, you might want to way a little while. I don't think... he wants to see anyone right now and it might just make things harder if you go before he's ready to see you."

As Ryan comes in closer and begins to plant her kisses on him, Alec draws in a sharp breath, wanting to return the affection, but held back by his pain. Feeling her on his neck, his one arm tightens around her, his fingers digging into her back as he gives a low growl.

Once her lips return to his and she draws back again, his hand moves from her back to her face, his fingers outlining every curve from her forehead and nose, down to her lips, touching them lightly. Her combing of his hair makes his eyes go closed and he tilts hes head into it. "Maybe it's good I'm in pain," he teases. "I don't wanna get another bruise."

Pulling her head closer, he brushes his lips against hers lightly, but with passion, ignoring his wound for just a moment. "I missed you too," he admits in a whisper.

Even though Ryan was being careful, the close proximity and slight pressure were making it slightly hard to breathe, and he cringes just a little, his eyes apologizing. "We'll have to pick this up later." A crooked grin forms. "I'm afraid a trip in to see Rick is going to interrupt us here."

How much

Pulling into the parking lot Ryan gives Alec a sidelong glance at the mention of the spark in her eyes when she was mad and the grin on her face grew even more.

About to reply and get out of the car Ryan stops being pulled over to Alec. Looking down at him his questions sends her grin to widen and she eyes start to dance, and the fire is ignited. Leaning in a little more Ryan's lips brush Alec softly minding his cut lip. Pulling away a little her eyes still dance.

"You have no idea how much I missed you..."

Shifting around in the car a little and still taking great care Ryan moves and puts her one leg over top of Alec so she was facing him sitting in his lap. Leaning in close Ryan's eyes stair into Alec before giving his nose a kiss, and than his cheek, the side of his face and than moving to his ear where she gave it a tiny nibble.

"...I missed you a lot..."

Moving from his eat down to his neck Ryan gave it continues light kiss, around his neck, and under his chin till she goes to the other side of his neck giving it a gently nibble for a few seconds. Finally finding his lips again she grins giving them a light kiss because of his lip.

"...and I can't even give you the kind of kiss I want because of your lip. I don't want to hurt you."

Ryan's hands move on on the back of the car seat to hold herself off of Alec a little not putting to much pressure on his injures and her other hand finding his hair running her fingers though it.

Finishing what she was doing quick Sapphire finally looks up at Reese giving him a smile. Seeing the look in his eyes though as he comes in and sits down in a chair Sapphire new something was wrong. Before he even said he she could feel it was something to do with Scott. They were twins, it was a simple bond that seemed to warn the other.

"Reese...whats wrong?"

Listing and hearing what had happened with Scott Sapphire's heart sank a little. Her brother had been worse than she though. It hurt knowing he was not ok, but at the same time she was happy someone had taken controlled to make him better. If she had lost her brother again Sapphire wouldn't know what to do.

"Are people able to go see him?"

There was worry in Sapphire's eyes not ever hearing of this place before and wondering how her brother had reacted. They had, had a falling out recently but that didn't mean she loved him any less.

"Is...he going to be ok?"

How much

Reese nods knowingly and doesn't say anymore. They both needed time to think about this whole thing. Hope more than he. Getting inside TJY, Reese knew he had one more job to do today. He wasn't looking forward to it either, and he almost hoped Sapphire was gone for the day. No such luck though. As he heads for his office, he sees that she's still in her cubicle. It was only right that he told her what was going on.

Taking a deep breath, he musters up whatever courage he had left and approaches her desk. "Hey, Sapphire?"

He waits to gain her full attention before speaking quietly to her. He didn't want to drag her into his office and make a huge deal out of it, but he didn't want to just blurt it out for everyone to hear either. "Um... there's something you should know."

He retrieves a chair from an empty cubicle and comes closer, sitting down to be at eye level with her. "There's no easy way to say this, so... I'm just gonna say it." He pauses, collecting his thoughts. "Hope and I... we just got back from Brookshire Care Facility about two hours from here. We... admitted Scott there today."

Reese purses his lips, still trying to figure out the best way to explain. "He hasn't been... well, he hasn't been taking care of himself the last few weeks. He's gotten pretty depressed and... Hope and I were afraid he would get down too far to get back up again if he were left without help. So... he's in a safe place where hopefully they can help him. I just... I wanted you to know."

Alec lifts an eyebrow a little, wondering at Ryan's statement. "Wildcat..." He gives her a sidelong glance. "You?" A small smile emerges. He could only imagine. Had it been over Jason coming after him? Probably. He grins a little more as they pull into the TJY parking lot.

Shifting a little to the side, he shakes his head at Ryan. "The though of you taking on Jason... Mmm... I wish I coulda seen that." His tone grows sly. "I like that spark in your eye when you're mad."

Reaching over with his hand, he takes her jacket collar and pulls her over to him, unable to lean in himself. "How much did you really miss me the last couple days?"
