Plans

Smiling back to Leo as he starts back up the ladder Cassy watches him adamantly for a moment. He never really through highly of himself, and Cassy wished he would. He had more talent than just being a klutz. Just from watching him over the last couple of weeks.

"If I build it they will come...thats something right out of that baseball movie. Its a good movie."

Turning a little to walk back inside Cassy stops again looking up at Leo from under the ladder.

"Hey...maybe you can bring some fliers at you work in the waiting area for people to see. That would be helpful."

Giving a smile she new Leo would think about it first and than let her know if he would or not. Though she didnt think there would be a problem with it.

Slipping inside for a moment to put the glass back Cassy comes out once again. Standing a little closer to the ladder this time so she could hear Leo better.

"Do you have any plans tomorrow?"

Shifting around a little but not moving from Ty's lap he was so comfortable she hated having to move.

"Do you have to work tonight? I'm super comfortable."

Finally and a little groggy Libby sits up and slides to the edge of the couch. Her face was flush still showing her stress but the little bit of sleep had helped.

"Wyatt's gonna be ok with me here for a while..right? I don't want to impose or anything."

They'll come

Leo looks down at Cassy, a gentle smile on his face. "It's... nice to be wanted."

Feeling her fingers run over his, he just pauses a moment, swallowing hard, then finally draws away, letting her keep the glass. "I think, um... the eves are calling me. Maybe I can get all the paint off before the sun sets."

Backing away a little, he picks up his tool again, fiddling with it in his hand. "So..." He climbs the ladder again, starting back to work. "...No calls yet, huh? I bet they'll come."

Ty murmurs and stretches a little, groaning softly as he sees what time it was. He needed to get up and get some supper before going in to work.

Feeling Libby still with him, he runs his hand through her hair, not realizing how much he liked her lying here with him... it was so comfortable... so warm.

"Hey," he croons softly. "I gotta get up... you can sack out in my bed if you want."

Faint

Giving another smile and a slight nod at Leo's comment Cassy was happy this gave him something to do and he was enjoying himself. She certainly liked his company. He helped keep her mind off her ex and slowly it felt like a heavy weight was lifting though it still did hurt a little.

"Ha, I think its kind of ironic, the first business I am gonna have in my studio, is someone helping me..."

Going to take the glass from Leo and feeling his fingers brush hers Cassy stops for a moment letting her hand linger. Moving her fingers a slights she lets the one run over his finger for a moment. There was that feeling again. Faint, but it was still there non the less.

Looking up at Leo a little color comes to her own cheeks as she smiles at him, her eyes giving a twinkle in the sun light biting her lip a little..

"...not that I mind. Its nice having you around."

Hours

Leo laughs a little, his cheeks turning just slightly pink. "I guess practice pays off."

Taking another sip of lemonade, he clears his throat again, one hand in his pocket as he looks at the ground. How little time had passed since he'd felt happy. And now... he just wasn't sure.

"Well, I'm glad I've been able to help at least this far... it's given me something to do, other than visiting the bar stool." Things at the shop weren't so bad lately... he didn't talk to Ryan much... he kept to himself most of the time now, and she was gone most lunch breaks any more.

Looking back to Cassy, he brings himself back around to be on topic. "Uh, well... I guess if you keep having stuff for me to do or... you wanna dance more or something..." He shrugs and hands his now-empty glass back to her, his fingers brushing hers. "My hours aren't changing that I know of."

The way you move...

Continuing to watch Leo work Cassy did feel bad she couldn't help him. Though she herself didn't really know what she was doing would give anything to be on a ladder on the other side working twords Leo. Maybe it was the fact she couldn't, that really made her want to more.

Once Leo comes down Cassy nods to the other chair. It was so nice out and there was a slight breeze if Leo wanted to come and sit for a little bit and catch his breath he was more than welcome to.

Thinking on his question Cassy wonders herself if she would be busy or not. There were always a lot of the studio's around but one more couldn't hurt. Would she get the people she needed?

"I'm not sure if I will be busy or not. I've started getting fryers out but so far no ones called me for more information. But even when I do get more people, I am going to have Friday, Saturday and Sundays off. I can still have time to practice myself and spend time with my friend. I mean if he's not busy himself."

Giving a smile Cassy new Leo would know he was talking about him. They saw each other about every few days now and she really had enjoyed his friendship. It was nice having someone to call and to look forward to seeing. She'd hate to break that just because there was no more work. Who knows maybe even after he could still help.

"Mmm...this is an idea thats starts to form. My dream will be getting on the dance floor again. I guess we can all have more than one dream though right?"

Dancing was her life and her passion to be out on the floor again, it was her dream to give her soul to dancing again, putting all her feeling and emotions into it. But Leo was right this was a dream as well. Helping others to feel the joy she found in dancing while she couldn't right now.

"Maybe..when your done fixing everything you can help me practice more? I always did like the way you moved, and today you proved you have gotten even better!"

Slice of your dream

Leo grins a little at Cassy as she comes out and he continues to work. "Yeah... I guess I do better on the dance floor, or when there's not a big audience while I'm working. Ask the guys around J&J's and I'm the resident klutz." He shrugs and scrapes some more paint. "Guess somebody's gotta hold the title."

Pausing a moment, he leans on the ladder and looks down at Cassy. "Something about a dance floor though... I guess it's my getaway. The audience just... fades away." He chuckles. "And here, nobody's watching me work but you, so I can pretend I know what I'm doing and get away with it."

Turning back to his scraping, he falls silence for a little while. Maybe he was more confident than he used to be... he felt different than he had a while back. More... he didn't know what it was. Maybe less klutziness came along with him being a little less happy-go-lucky.

After growing thirsty, Leo takes a break and eases down the ladder, leaning back against the wall of the building, and accepting some lemonade. "Mm... you're a genius. Good stuff."

Sighing, he cocks his head at Cassy. "So... after this place doesn't have any more to fix, you'll get nice and busy with clients, huh?" He didn't really know what he was asking, and taps his finger on his cup absentmindedly. "Sounds like you're gonna get a slice of your dream."

With a friend

"If I new who on earth Dave was I'd tell him for you."

Shaking her head and staring at Alec for a long moment Misty just can't believe him. He was totally wired and it was humorous but she could see why Rick was going crazy. Maybe after he has something to eat He'd feel a little better.

Exiting the studio a nice blue scoop neck shirt on and a pare of jeans Cassy holds two glass of the lemon aid her hand over the top so paint chips don't get into the drink. Ambling for the chair that had already been placed outside she sets the glass down at the little table.

"It doesn't looks like it will be to hard to fix that."

Cassy squints up in the sun light at Leo giving a smile. It defiantly was a nice day out for doing something like this.

"So I still think your a naturel at being my fit it. You really have helped me a lot."

Cassy gives a little laugh sitting down letting the sun light wash over her. Its felt so nice to be out enjoying the weather with a friend.

Dave

Alec scratches his head then sighs in defeat. "Okay... I'll try." He settles back on the cot, but then springs up again. "But no promises. I have begun to realize that this is completely beyond my control." He waves his arm around. "So... anything I sayer do... can't be... uh.... held against me."

Flopping onto his back again, he gives Misty a little wave. "Have fun, hott stuff. Just don't... mind me."

Finally closing his eyes, he lets his head settle back in the pillow and he yawns. "Tell Dave I'll talk to him later."

"Mm... lemonade sounds good." Leo grins and nods, heading back over to the tools. "Alright... see you outside."

Pausing at the counter, he watches Cassy leave, his eyes lingering on the empty doorway for a moment. Sighing, he picks up the tools he wants and heads outside. Arriving on the sidewalk, he looks up to the eves above the door. Looked like it needed the old paint scrapped, a few new nails and some new paint. He didn't think it looked like it needed any new wood so it shouldn't be too hard of a job.

Fetching the ladder, he sets to work, climbing up so he can reach above the doorway. Starting to scrape off the paint, chips and flakes flutter down to the ground. A little sweat forms on his brow as the setting sun bathes the building in a warm glow.

Strap down

"Mmmm...I'd help you up, your brother would kick your face in from flirting with his wife no matter what I see it ended badly. Though I could leave you were for Ryan to pick up but...my luck Rick would come back and fire me for leaving you there. Now lay back before I strap you there myself."

A twinkle shown in Misty's eye. She new he didn't mean to be like this right now it was just the medication but if she could get him to calm down at all that would be great.

"You can ramble and talk to me all you like I don't mind just lay back and sit still for a little bit. The drugs should be wearing off soon."

Giving a smile and taking a few steps back from Leo Cassy gives a nod. Every very grateful for all the help and hard work Leo was putting into this place with her.

"I'd help but I think today my leg is stilling me no more. So I'll pull a chair out and at least sit so you have someone to talk to. I brought some fresh Lemon Aid with me to so that you have something to drink as well."

Taking another sip of her own water and grabbing her bag Cassy gives a smile to Leo before turning to head for the bathroom.

"I'm just going to change up, I'll be out in a moment."

Don't mind

Alec's eyes widen a little and he leans over to look at the floor. "Yeah... yeah, that might kinda hard. Of course..." He looks back up at Misty, eying her hand, then her face. "Might not be too awful bad... you might hafta help pick me back up."

A silly smile creases his lips. His brain knew good and well that there was no chance of anything here, but his mouth just wouldn't stop. He'd be frustrated if he really didn't seem to mind much at all at the moment.

Leo lets his arms drop too, looking back at Cassy and seeing a soft look in her eye. It was... warm... gentle... almost hopeful of... something.

He swallows hard and manages a crooked grin. "You're welcome. I don't mind dancing, you know that." He laughs a little then clears his throat. "I guess the eves are waiting. I'll, um... get started on that."

Pitter Patter

Having Leo there might not have been really major for most but to Cassy it did help. Just having him there to hold for a little support took a lot of the weight off her knee in itself.

Following Leo's lead and adding in her own moves she wanted to practice Cassy did them less than smoothly but to the best of her ability with her knee. Even if it wasn't great right now, it was better that what most people would try or do.

The smile that held on Cassy's face was one that though she was in a little pain she was enjoying herself, having a nice time and so thankful Leo was there.

Feeling Leo's hands go to her wast is was only natural to take the pose to be picked up. Being ready, and straight but not complete dead weight making sure she kept it right so Leo wouldn't get hurt. Cassy's eyes seeming to find Leo's, the twinkled and sparkled as she looked back into his searching them, thanking him. She just relized how blue they were were, being this close to him now, and how much life of his own sparked in them.

As the music fade, and the stops Cassy just stands there a few moment's longer holding Leo. For some reason she didn't want to let go yet, not yet. Finally feeling silly though she let her hands fall to her side trying to ignore the little pitter patter her heart felt.

"Thank you Leo, I might end up using you more often. It's always nice to have a dance partner. Not to mention one as good as yourself. and in my position it makes it a little easier as well. So thank you...for catching me."

Looking up at Alec and giving a slight nod of her head she could see why he hated dogs. They could be mean little suckers and she'd rather not deal with that herself.

"I guess if I got attacked everyday I'd have a pretty good fear of dogs too. I have two farrits. They work good for me. Small, can cuddle, I can take them on a leash if I want they don't ever bit bit if they do its not hard."

Misty gives another laugh quirking an eyebrow at Alec. She remembered when Carson was on pain meds..Alec was ten times worse. Standing and going over to him she puts a hand on his shoulder.

"Would you lay down before you fall down. Your swaying all over the bed. Last thing I want is for you to be a big heap on the floor."

Proud

Alec swings his head around to Misty, his eyebrow still quirked. "Mmm....yeah... yeah, I guess she is." He nods, then snickers. "Gotta be careful with wildcats - they got claws. 'Course... not as dangerous as them dogs."

He grows solemn again and shakes his head. "Hate 'em ya know. Ever since I's little. I's only six years old, but I remember it. Had to go to the hospital and everything after that neighbor's dog attacked me." He grimaces. "It was kinda nasty."

Leo smiles as Cassy takes his hands and he backs up onto the floor. "Yes."

Hearing the music that was still playing from her earlier practice, Leo starts to sway a little, then begins to dance slowly with her. He could do a lot more, but he didn't, just letting Cassy do her best as he stayed close, always keeping at least one hand in hers. Though taking the lead for speed and style, he let her fill in whatever she wanted.

Slowly turning and spinning around, their movements were reflected in the mirrors. Leo wasn't in his preferred attire for dancing, but since the new floor wasn't down yet, his sneakers would suffice, and his jeans kept him from doing anything too crazy.

Watching Cassy as she spun slowly under his hand, he smiles at her. It was good to see her so determined to keep dancing. In a way, he was proud of her.

As the music builds, he ventures some stronger moves, careful not to push Cassy too far. And with the rise in music, Leo's hands move to her waist to pick her up as he turns, never breaking eye contact as he slowly spins then ever so gently sets her down once more. And the music begins to fade.

Catch me

Rolling her eyes she shakes her head and laugh. Ryan had to remind Rick never to give Alec that again.

"Ok well you sit with you darling sister in law, I'll get good and some movies and we can just cuddle. ok?...ok good. I'll be back."

Shaking her head as she stands once again Ryan throws an extra look to Misty with a smirk.

"Keep him in line while I'm gone."

Once Ryan is gone Misty looks over to Alec on the cot and lets out a long sigh. He did act just like Carson. Must run in the banks genes.

"So...whats your girlfriend huh? She seems pretty nice. A wildcat so that fits you."

Looking down at Leo's hands for a long moment she contemplated his offer. It could be good for her but at the same thing she didn't want to her him by being a little still with her legs.

"You would have to lead, or I can just do some of my moves and you can add to it if you wanted."

Finally letting her hands fall into Leo's she looks up as him and gives a smile and a nod. He new what he was doing they had danced before, long time ago but they had and it was the best show out there. She new he would let her fall to hard.

"Are you really going to catch me if I fall?"

Problem is...

As Ryan's question hangs in the air, a sly smile spreads on Alec's face, though somehow he manages to keep his thoughts to himself this time. "Don't ask that," he chides, and takes another sip of water.

"I don't know... whatever... anything... everything." His grin returns. "I don't have as many rules here as the couch, ya know."

"Ahhh." Now Leo understood. He could tell that Cassy was taking her little mishap harder than she was showing. "Well... the problem isn't your knee, ya know."

Rummaging a little more, Leo finally produces the scraper he was looking for. But instead of heading outside, he sets the tools on the counter instead. Looking at Cassy, he offers both of his hands. "The problem is, that there's no one there to catch you."

4/7/10

Yes

Sitting down again and shaking her head along with a laugh Ryan gives a sidelong glace to Misty who was over at her desk. It seemed like non of this phased her and she wondered if Alec was just let her husband and thats why it just didn't seem to phase her.

Turning her attachen back to Alec Ryan thinks for a long moment on his question. Trying her best to hold in the chuckles that wanted to come out with how he sounded.

"Mmm...Yes I have. After I was shot, and woke up..they gave me pain killers through and iv. You think your flying now, hold crap. I understand."

Thinking for a moment on what the could do here tonight Ryan ran a few differnt things through her mind before letting Alec in.

"So what do you wanna do tonight? Want me to go grab food...want me to get any movies, or bring in my dad's card. What would Alec like to do?"

Leaning on the wall and just watching Leo head to the tool box she found it funny but she liked the way he clanked them around on the inside. Silly yes but true.

Hearing his question Cassy thinks for a long moment before finally answering.

"I was trying to practice before you got here and...I twisted my knee the wrong way. It's just really frustrating sometimes."

Cassy gives a warm smile swiping her eyes.

"Other than that I think everything is good. I got you here fixing stuff after all."

Somewhere

Alec accepts the cup of water, taking a sip then shaking his head. "Not sure this'll help an awful lot... I think I need a wholllotta more help than this."

He squints up at Ryan again. "If I didn't have an ankle that has teeth marks or... ribs that still feel like crap, I'd grab ya and set you right here with me and kiss you from head to toe. Now that would help."

Blinking, he thinks for a moment, not even sure what he'd just said, especially with Misty over in the corner. "Or..." He backtracks. "I could try sleeping like Rick wants... but.... I don't think these meds are making me sleepy. 'Cept I feel drowsy... but not sleepy... just kinda...." He gestures in the air with his hand. "Out... there... somewhere. You ever feel like that?"

Leo grins as Cassy comes to the door, and he ambles inside, now familiar with his surroundings. "Yeah... got stuck at work." He shrugs. "Couldn't say no. But I wanted to come anyway and get a start."

He aims for the toolbox on the counter to find a paint scraper and a hammer, though his eyes glance sideways at Cassy again. Her red eyes had not escaped him.

"Everything alright?"

Dear Alec

Giving a laugh and a shake of her head Ryan can't help but laugh. Sitting down on the bed next to Alec she takes his hand in her own .

"No my dear Alec your not, and yes you are hot but Dr. orders you stay here for now. I can't go taking you out and about running the risk of you being putting on house arrest again can I? That could mean no cuddling on the couch."

Spotting some paper cups on the sink Ryan stands again going over to it filling one of the glass with some cool water. Bringing it back over to Alec she holds it out to him.

"Here this will help you a little."

The studio was quite almost to quiet except for the soft sobs that sounded from the other area. Hearing someone come in thought Cassy comes out to greet Leo moving a little slower than normal, and limping a little more as well.

Giving a smile thought her eyes were streaked red Cassy straitens up the little wrap around she had around her wast over her leotards.

"Hey there, I wasn't sure if you were going to make it after all today."

Moving over to the counter where her water bottle was Cassy grabs it and takes a sip before looking to Leo again and smile.

"I think I'm growing fond of having you around. What on earth am I gonna do when this place is done hummm..?"

Hot in here

"Mmm...." Alec grins, returning Ryan's kiss. "I'd only seen ya gone for two minutes... tops.... or three."

He furrows his brow, trying to think as one of his eyebrows seems to quirk all by itself. "Um... can we go somewhere? Out? It's hot in here. And my ankle feels weird.... not that moving will help." He blinks and squints up at Ryan, his grin turning to a frown as he thinks. "I'm not... all here... am I?"

Leo parks along the curb and slides out of his car, once again in his faded jeans and white tee, ready for work. He'd already been working most of the day at the shop, but he was supposed to have the day off to come help Cassy and he felt bad that he hadn't been able to. So he was here anyway, even though it was late afternoon. He could at least get started on fixing up the exterior of the building.

Wandering to the door, he looks inside before poking his head in. "Hellloooo... anybody home?"

Mmmm....

Giving a laugh at Alec Ryan could tell he was totally doped. His eyes were glazed over, and his voice was slered almost like he was drunk.

"Your right you ARE trouble."

Giving a laugh Ryan soon stops as her eyes widen a little at Alec starts a few more of his sentences. Not even thinking and even though Rick had cut him off Ryan gives him a slap to that back of the head.

"And that will be enough of your sharing our business with Rick thank you."

Ryan can't help the little playful ton her put on the end, turning to give a wink to Rick as he want out the door.

Once Rick is gone Ryan leans into Alec a little her lips brushing his. Giving a soft moan as she pulled away a little bit bringing a hand to Alec's face and than slipping it to the back of his had.

"Boy did I ever! Starting to feel lonly yourself you wanted to get me here faster but getting a dog to bit you?"

Know what I mean?

Con straightens and looks down at Jamie so he can catch everything she was saying. "Yeah... yeah, I think she'll be okay. Not sure Ty's thinking straight at the moment... he's in a little deeper than I thought he was but... he cares about her and I guess that's what she needs right now."

Reaching down, he runs a finger along Jamie's face. "I guess it doesn't have to be an Elite case to twist my gut. Kinda made me think of you today and made me all the more glad I've got you here."

Alec is still propped up in bed, his eyes roaming the room as Ryan walks in. Her question brings a silly grin to his face. "Me? Psh... I don't cause trouble, I AM trouble."

He gestures to his wrapped ankle. "Learned today that dogs have sharp teeth. Well... I already knew that, but I don't talk about it. Rick here has been a pain all afternoon though, lemme tell you. After he got he in here, it's been torture. All I wanna do is get out of here but noooo, I gotta stay here again. Hurts to walk though, so I guess it's okay. 'Course Reese hasn't gotten to me yet so I still don't know if he's mad about me spending the night with you. Not that it's any of his business or anyone else's. Though he should know everything's cool since I wasn't dead this morning and your brother isn't in jail. You know though, once I thought about it, it woulda been real easy to-"

"Alec!" Rick spins around with his hands on his hips. "Do you ever stop? Good gracious, man. Remind me never to give you those meds again."

"Why? I feel fine." Alec's eyebrows rise. "I feel so good I could-"

"Shush!" Rick looks to Ryan helplessly. "I'm leaving. Keep him under control, will you?"

"Ha!" Alec throws up his arms. "She's tried. Don't work. Unless I'm staying at her place, then everything is kept under control. And I mean - under control, know what I mean?"

Rick rolls his eyes. "I don't want to know, Alec. Just... I'm leaving. I'll be back in a while."

Alec waves as Rick exits the room, then swings his gaze back to Ryan. "Miss me?"

Trouble

Giving her own small laugh at Ty's comment it made feel Libby feel good hearing him joke around and knowing she still looked good to him even if he was just trying to make it feel good, it worked.

As Ty leans back and beacons Libby closer her crawls across the couch without hesitation. Leaning her head on his chest and feeling his arms around her he was so comfortable and safe, it was so lulling to her.

Letting her eyes slip closed she wraps her own arm around and under Ty comfortable in a half hug, as he other lays by her head on his chest. For the moment all fears be chased away, everything seemed ok just being wrapped up in him.

Feeling Con's arms wrap around her a smile comes to Jamie's face her hands going to his arms in a returned squeeze. She'd never tire of feeling those strong arms around her, or the soft smell of his skin. Sometimes being away from him only a day felt like years.

"Mmmm....I love you too sweety."

Keeping Con's arms around her Jamie swivels in her chair to face him. Looking into the eyes she had falling in love with what felt like so long ago Jamie is just quiet for a long moment.

"Did you guys end up helping Ty's girlfriend? Is she going to be ok?"

Con had such a big heart and Jamie was so thankful for that. Filled with so much love, enough to give her everything she needed and still share with others. That was on of the things Jamie loved about Con.

Not use to her cell phone ringing at work Ryan new it was Alec, or Eli. Eather way something had to be wrong. Pulling out her cell phone and looking she didn't know the number she might as well answer is in case something was wrong.

"Yeah this is Ryan?"

Listing to Rick on the other end, and hearing Alec in the background a grin forms on Alec's face. For some reason he sounded slightly humorous. Waiting for Rick to finish Ryan leans over the last car she was working on and tightens some bolts before straightening and shutting the hood.

"Well seeing as I would about to come to him tonight in about five to ten minutes thank you for letting me know."

Shaking her head and grabbing her jacket from her work bench to leave for the night Ryan finally hangs up the phone letting Rick she would be by shortly. Before anything she needed to head home for some sleep.

A little while later Ryan was poking her her head in the infirmary door looking around. Entering all the way and seeing Rick as his desk she gives a nod before seeing Alec. Giving a smirk and going over to him she shakes her head.

"Now what trouble are you causing?"

Love

Ty lets Libby nuzzle into him, glad for a moment that his face is hidden from view. The subject of his past usually didn't bother him... but it was only because he never thought about it anymore. He'd trained himself to leave it in the past and not look back. But he couldn't help it that having this happen to Libby brought back these memories... and they did hurt still.

Giving her a little smile back, he reaches to run his fingers through her hair, knowing that she was hurting both inside and out. "If you're a knight, I think we have a bigger problem to worry about here."

Laughing a little, his eyes twinkle, showing that he's teasing. "I'm not sure I look more attractive though... you look pretty good to me, shiners and all."

He scoots back on the couch a little bit to lounge in the corner on his back, and reaches out for her. "Come here," he prompts softly. Parking and unloading could wait.

Drawing her close, he lets her lie into him, wrapping his arms around her gently and offering his chest as a pillow. Kissing the top of her head, he closes his eyes, and leans his head back, weary from the day's events. Right now all he wanted to do was sit here and let the dust settle... and just be with Libby.

Con ambles back through TJY, a bit worn out from everything that had just happened. He was glad he'd been able to help out Libby, though he was still a little worried about her, and concerned for Ty too, who had taken on a lot by committing to helping her to this extreme. Though Con had to agree that it was the best decision to get Libby out of that house.

Tucking his keys in his pocket, he aims for his desk but stops, turns and looks over to where Jamie sat in her cubicle. He'd almost lost her once because of brutality... seeing other defenseless women get beat up now hit a little too close to home.

Instead of working again just yet, he goes to her cubicle instead, coming up behind her and bending low so he can drape his arms over her shoulders and kiss the top of her head. "I just wanted to say hi," he mentions quietly. "I love you so much."

"...but what's the point? I mean, he was there, and I was there and-"

"Alec!" Rick turns around, his eyes wide with annoyance. "You've been talking non-stop for the last fifteen minutes! Please... just... stop."

Alec quirks an eyebrow and looks at Rick, squinting a little as the image was just a little fuzzy. "You're a little uptight, Doc, don'tcha think? Hey, I need to make a phone call."

"Not on your life. You'd probably call the chief of police and tell him there was an elephant in here."

Alec smirks and waves him off. "Nawww... I just needa call..." He stops having to think. "Ryan. Yes. She doesn't know about this."

"And?"

"And and... and...." Alec scratches his head, a little frustrated with his lethargic, doped-up brain. "Um. I won't show up so... she needs to know."

"I'll call her if you give me her number."

"Five two six, three - no, that's Dave's."

"Who's Dave?"

"I have no idea. But Reese has her number."

Rick rolls his eyes. "I don't know why I do this for you." A few minutes later, he's on the phone, leaving a voicemail. "Yeah, this is Rick over at the Elite. Alec got in a scrape with a dog and he's gimping around here on one leg at the moment. Apparently he was supposed to see you tonight and he won't be able to get out and about until tomorrow probably. You can drop on by if you want, though come prepared - he seems to have lost part of his mind to the pain medication I gave him."

Alec snickers in the background.

Relization

Sitting on the couch and listen to Ty talk it was nice having his hand in hers it gave her comfort, and it made him feel real. Continuing to pay close attachen to what he had to say, and watching as he showed her, his scars she couldn't help the look of surprise on her face. She never would of guessed he had been through this too.

"Oh wow babe, I...had no idea. I'm so sorry."

Not even thinking twice about it Libby lets go of Ty's hand and wraps her arms around his neck giving him a hug and leaning her face into his neck. Hearing everything Ty had been through as well it was a realization that he had just lived through his own nightmare with her all over again.

"I guess we have something else in common now huh? Not the greatest thing in the word but...I don't know what I am trying to say."

Giving Ty's neck a kiss and letting it linger for a moment Libby pulls away. Running a finger along Ty's cheek, and under his eye were the slight wetness had formed she have a soft smile, and though it hurt.

"I guess we can be each other knights in shining armor now. I think you win in the good look factor right now though."

Too close

Ty just listens quietly, knowing how scared Libby was, and wishing he could take that fear away somehow. But he knew he couldn't... it just had to fade on its own.

Her question brings his eyes down to his own hand, realizing that she was right. He was still shaking. He gives her hand a squeeze and nods, trying to continue calming his nerves. "Yeah... yeah, I'm okay. I just..." He thinks for a long moment, trying to come up with the right words to say. This whole thing had stirred up a lot inside of him, and he needed to sort through it without making Libby feel worse.

Kicking off his shoes, he brings his feet up on the couch to sit almost sideways, facing Libby. His thumb runs through her palm as his hand still shakes slightly. "I don't like seeing you hurt," he admits softly. "It... upsets me and..." He shrugs. "I guess I got really angry back there."

Swallowing hard, he tries to push back some more thoughts, but they were too stubborn, continuing to rise to the surface. Taking his free hand, he rolls up the sleeve of his shirt to show a scar on his shoulder. "That's... from when I was about twelve. I... fell down the stairs... by way of someone pushing me."

His eyes remain downcast as he pulls up his pantleg to show another mark on his ankle. "That was from a chair... that was thrown at me."

Ty's voice had grown even quieter. He never spoke this specifically of this to anyone, not even Wyatt. "I know how it feels, Libby... to have someone who... who's supposed to love you and care for you... turn on you instead. I just... happened to run away from it quicker than you did."

Finally raising his eyes, a wetness glimmered in his gaze. "And I try to forget. So... seeing you and... then with Victor... I just lost it, knowing you'd been through what I had, and worse. 'Cause no one should have to... especially someone like you."

Looking down again, he gives a little shrug. "I guess it hit too close to home this time."

Scared

Finally getting back to Ty and Con's Libby sits on the couch. Just staring at the blank tv for a long while Libby lets the quiet around her just sink in. The silence was nice, yet startling at the same time.

Looking up as Ty comes back into the room Libby just watches him for a long moment. Finally answering his question her voice was still shaky as she reached out to take his hand in her own.

"I think I feel semi safe now. Ok thought...I...don't know whats gonna happen now. I can't stay here with Wyatt and you forever living on your couch. I mean sure I'd love to be with my friends and you but its just...something I can't think of the word. I guess I am just scared now because I don't know whats going to happen to me. I have no plan. Than there is the fear of Victor finding me too...and....that scares me too."

Looking down at Ty's hand in her own for the first time she sees him shaking a little himself realized how much he really had cared. She new he had cared, but just not how much. She couldn't remeber the last time someone really had. She'd almost forgotten the feeling all together. Now she looked to him on what to do next, but maybe he needed comfort too.

"Are...you ok too? Your shaking Ty."

Tense

Seeing Victor back off, Con breathes a sigh of relief, while Ty is still livid. The younger man turns around to see Libby, so angry at this whole mess. Going to her, he starts to help her pick up the clothes and put them back in the box. "Don't thank us," he murmurs. "Getting you out of here is thanks enough in itself."

Con waits a moment to gather himself again, then sets about packing once more. Between the three of them, it doesn't take long to have all that Libby wanted into boxes. Nothing was sorted and it was all mixed together and crammed into the boxes, but it was there, and that's what counted. The back of her pickup was loaded up without much trouble between Con and Ty.

Backing out of the driveway, Ty can see Victor staring at them from the window, but he doesn't care. Good riddance.

On the road, Ty leads the way to his and Wyatt's place without incident. Parking and getting out, he goes around to help Libby out as well. Not much had been said on the way here... what could be said?

Putting an arm around her, he leads her slowly to the house. "You're safe now," he assures. "No one's gonna hurt you here."

Con follows behind them just to make sure everything was settled before he left. Wandering inside, he scans the house, knowing that Wyatt wasn't home yet.

Ty takes Libby into the living room and lets her sit on the couch. "I'll be right back.... we can sit a while then I can start bringing some of your stuff in." At least they had marked boxes that were necessary for right now, and others that could wait until she was settled more permanently.

Heading back towards the door to show Con out, he stops to lean back against the wall. Now back here with Libby safe, and without her seeing him, he closes his eyes for a moment, just trying to pull himself back together again.

Con looks at him with just a bit of concern, realizing that Ty was shaking. "You alright?"

"Yeah... yeah, I will be." Ty takes a deep breath. "Guess I just got sorta tense."

"Sorta." Con gives him a wry grin. "You sure you're gonna be alright? You need me to stick around?"

"No... no, we should be fine. I'll put Libby's truck in the garage - Victor shouldn't know this address so we should be alright. And if not, there's a shotgun in the closet."

Con frowns. "Yeah... just don't get trigger happy. You got a phone for a reason."

"I know, I know. Get going. You'll be late for supper." Ty watches Con leave before shutting the door and wandering back into the living room. Sitting down next to Libby, he realizes that his hands are still shaking. "You okay?"

Be Sorry

Being pushed twords the door Victor's eyes blaze even more as his fists ball at his side. He wanted so bad to push back but stops himself as he takes a few steps twords Ty. He was outnumbered easly with Con there, not to mention hitting someone so much younger than himself. Looking past Ty at Libby his eyes eyes cut through her.

"You deserve to be with the rats. Don't bother coming running back here if you need help, after all I've done for you. You'll be sorry."

Looking to Ty again and than Con Victor turns cursing an muttering under his breath about Libby most that couldn't be heard before he disappeared somewhere else in the house.

Letting out a long sigh and glancing to Ty than Con Libby's eyes showed her fear all over as her eyes welled with tears. Going over to the box and picking up what was dumped out of it Libby is quit because her voice finally speaks a little weak.

"Thank you. I...I couldn't do this without you guys. I'm to scared of him, I have been for a long time."

Not this time

Seeing Victor go for Libby and throw her box to the side, Ty can't take it. Slipping from Con's grip, he steps between Victor and Libby, fire in his eyes. Without time to think, he gives Victor's chest a hefty shove to send him back towards the door.

"Back off," he growls, pointing a finger at him. "You pull any more stunts, so help me, this roof is coming down on your head and they won't even recognize you when they find you."

Con looks at his younger friend with warning. "Ty..."

"Shut up, Con." Ty doesn't break his gaze from Victor. "You're lucky all we're doing is helping Libby out of here. Now you can either stand here with your trap shut, or leave this room. There are no other options... not this time."

Frozen

Giving a smirk as Ty come twords him but see the other big man stop him Libby's step father just eyes him. Than looking to Con himself he looks the big man over considering his own options. Catching sight of the Elite badge he gives another scoff and rolls his eyes, he new all to well who The Elite were.

"Fine, you can leave but all this crap stays here. You leave with the cloths on your back and the. The rest of this junk is mine."

Looking up at her step father trying to be strong the fear could still be seen in her swollen eyes. She was trying her best to be a strong person with her friends there with her it was just so hard. Glancing down in the box she was holding Libby doesn't meet her steps fathers cold eyes.

"I...I bought most of this stuff. It's mine to take with me...I'll leave the stuff I..I didn't buy."

Squinting his eyes a little fire could almost be seen behind Libby's step fathers eyes showing how upset he was. Taking a step twords Libby he grabs the box from her she was holding and throws it to the side hitting the wall and sending cloths everywhere, the cold tone in his merciless voice.

"I said No. I put food in your mouth, and a roof over your head when I should of kicked you out long ago. This stuff is what you owe me."

Libby gives a jump and cringes a little as her step father grabs the box from her. Her eyes filling with a few tears on how scared she was frozen in her place.

Feel free

Getting into the house and into Libby's room, Ty and Con waste no time in helping her put items in boxes. They do as she suggests, but also take the initiative to pack things she hadn't mentioned as well.

As her stepfather appears though, everything comes to a screeching halt. Ty whips around and his blood begins to boil, just seeing this man who had hurt Libby. Hearing his words and hearing Libby be called a liar was the last straw.

"You swine," he hisses. He takes several strides towards him, anger blazing in his eyes and his fists balled.

It was Con who reached him first though, putting a strong hand on Ty's shoulder to stop him abruptly. Self defense was one thing, assault was another. Keeping his hand on Ty to hold him back, he towers over Libby's stepfather. His eyes stare down at him with cold ire that could cut through steel. He hadn't caught all he'd said, but he didn't have to.

"I'm sorry sir," he responds as calmly as he can, "but your stepdaughter is four years legal to do whatever she wants. It is her legal right to leave this house, and my friend and I are here to assist her in moving boxes."

Ty wants so bad to pounce on this man, that his face becomes flushed and his hands clench tight enough to make his knuckles turn white.

Con looks down at Libby's stepfather with warning. "We will be gone shortly. If you feel the need to call the authorities in the meantime, please, feel free. But I don't think that will do anything but cause more trouble for yourself."

Moving his one hand slightly, his jacket gets pulled back just a little to show the edge of his Elite badge on his belt. "Now, please... leave us alone."

4/5/10

Insinuate

Leaning into Ty again on the way out Libby was still so happy for him to be there, and knowing someone as big as Con was with them was kind of a comfort too. She had seen the soft look in the big Tank's eyes and his voice was sweet too. Libby was happy Ty got him to help them.

The ride out of town was quit and full of nerves on Libby's part. A little bit of her wanted to just forget all her stuff and get everything new just so she wouldn't have to see anyone. Though the idea was nice Libby new it was only an idea and wouldn't work. Ty and Con were there, everything would be ok.

As Ty pulls into her driveway Libby squints just a little. It was still hard to fully see but she can tell her brother's car is gone, and her mom's was in the driveway.

"I know at least my mom is home. Thats her car, sometimes she drives my step dad to work so...I...I don't know if he's here or not."

Looking to Ty her eyes show great worry but a willingness to be strong. She had to be, if she wasn't she break down all over again right there. Finally getting out of the truck and shutting the door Libby waits for Ty to join her before locking hands with him.

Entering the house Libby looks around and doesn't see anyone slowly keeping the door open for the other guys Libby lets it fall shut with not much of a sound. It didn't feel strange seeking in her own house she had done it so many times before.

Getting into her room she takes a look around at her room. She didn't have much and if they only grabbed what was important to her than that was ok.

"Con...if...you want the box for my stereo is in the closet, and ty you...can clean off my desk if you want...I'll grab my...my cloths."

Moving as fast as she could to Libby moved to her dresser to pulls her cloths out and throw into a box.

"What do you think your doing and who are these people in my house?"

Spinning around a little to fast Libby catch her hand on the draw and cutting it a little. Seeing her step father in the doorway of the bedroom with his arms crossed over his chest Libby quivers in fear as its an instint look of terror fills her eyes.

Her step father wore a look on his face that was non to amused and down right mean. It felt like Libby's words were trapped in her throat.

"I asked you a question."

Looking to Ty and than to Con again Libby just felt like running away. She could tell her step dad's voice was angry and it scared her.

"I'm....leave."

Giving a blood chilling cackle her Step father steps a little more into the room his eyes reflecting just how horrible of a man he was.

"You'll leave over my dead body. Where are you going to go humm? Did these two guys put you up to it? Is this why you say out all night? Running around doing goodness knows what. I thought you new better, I though I taught you better. No No...my dear sweet Libby your not going anywhere."

Looking to Con and than to Ty, he looked like he might be half cocked himself not even knowing what he was talking about or insinuating.

"You have to watch out for her...she lies a lot. Maybe its best you gentile men leave."

Sneeze

Being called a sexy knight in shining armor in front of the others, Ty's face reddens, even though he laughs and gives Libby's hand a squeeze.

Nearby on the cot, Alec was lying down on his side, one eye open as he groggily listened to whatever was going on in the room. He kinda felt like sleeping, but he kinda felt like getting up and doing laps around the room - a combination which made him just a bit dizzy and maybe not so with it.

Hearing Libby talk, he quirks an eyebrow and raises his hand. "Hey," he interrupts. "Hey... If Ty's the sexy knight, then I have to be at least the drop dead gorgeous idiot. Attractive just don't cut it." He wags his finger in the air for emphasis, though he really... wasn't even sure why. Though something told him that he maybe wasn't quite talking as straight as his brain was... or crooked... or something. Or maybe it was the looks on the faces staring at him that gave him that clue. "Uh... ignore the idiot. I'll just... go sneeze, eh, sleep."

Con snickers as Ty starts to laugh too. Having Alec be the one to provide the comedy was quite the switch. Con looks down at Libby, humor in his eyes at being called a giant. "Most people wind up calling me Tank," he admits, winking at her.

Once Ty had made sure everything was settled with Rick and Misty, he tells Libby she can come with him and Con. Taking her close to him, he lets her lean on him on the slow walk through TJY and back outside. After they're there though, Con stops them.

"Uh, Ty..." He cocks his head, seeing Libby's keys in Ty's hand. "Have you gained a permit?"

Ty thinks for a moment, then shakes his head. "No... but I made it here in one piece."

"I could arrest you, ya know."

"I could arrest myself," Ty counters with a smirk. "C'mon... we're off the clock. I know what I'm doing."

Con hesitates, but then shrugs. "Alright. You lead... I'll follow with my truck."

Before leaving TJY though, Ty has one more thing to do, and winds up backing Libby's pickup up to the side door where he leaves her for just a few moments, then returns to load up some empty boxes and some newspapers. They might be moving her out in a hurry, but Ty remembered all the knickknacks she had in her room, and he didn't want anything to break.

"Okay, now I'm ready." He starts up the engine again and pulls out onto the road, making sure Con is behind them.

The ride doesn't take too long, but it's a quiet one. Once they get to Libby's house outside of town, Ty parks in the driveway and takes a look around. "You think anybody's home?"

Fairy tail

Sitting at her desk and Katie absently chews on the end of her pen listing to Jason and thinking of something maybe he could do. Everything she passable could come up with though just didn't seem to work.

I'm at a total loss J. I guess you can do ether you were talking about. Train him more or see if you can retire him.

Letting out a long sigh Katie new Jason was tore up about this. Trooper was like his best friend and the last time he went away it was pretty hard on Jason. She really would hate to see that again.

The only probably with retiring him and you keeping him is your still going to have to train him. Because if he bites anyone once retired its really going to be all over and more than Reese warning he could be taken away. So...maybe just trying to train him more would be better? You could always introduce him to a woman that might calm him down.

Katie can't help but laugh a little hoping it would lighten Jason up too. She new he was in a bad mood now but if she could get him to laugh even a little than that was a good thing.

Moving her head slightly as the infirmary door opens again Libby hoped it was Ty. Seeing him enter a little releaf washed over her just knowing he was so close again. Trying to give the best smile she could to Ty as he drew closer she gave a small nod to the mention of meeting someone.

As Con comes closer and Libby is able to see him her eyes widen just a little bit. She had to turn her head upwards a little more to see him better, he was huge. Just studying him for a long moment Libby finally can see the softness in his eyes, and his voice know he would be ok, and at least if they needed to carry anything heavy he could handle it.

"Ty, when you told me about this place you never mentioned it was like a fairy tail. The knight sexy knight in shinning armor saving the damsel in distress.."

Libby gives Ty's hand a little squeeze.

"..Jack the attractive idiot..."

Libby used a finger to slightly point to Alec who was half out of it over on the cot from painkillers.

"..you even have the good looking giant from the top of the bean stalk."

Her eyes roam Con's face again as she gave a little painful laugh. She might be hurting, and inside she might be torn up, but at least she still have a slight scene of humor.

Though not saying much about it Libby was thinking about everything Ty had said. She was going to be staying with him till they found somewhere else...but where would she go? She didn't nearly make enough money at the library for live on her own even with the money she had saved up. It made her worry, and it made her feel nervouse more so than she already was with the though of going back to her house. Maybe they would be in luck and no one would be home. She could hope...right?

Another truck

Yeah... I'm sorry too.

Jason heads to his office only for a moment to grab his keys, then is back out again, this time with Trooper on a leash.

Maybe it's my fault. I get so used to him being my bodyguard that I forget he's not really mine. He is, but he isn't.

His eyes drift downward as he walks. Trooper was heeling obediently, his head partway down, knowing he'd gotten into some trouble.

Maybe Reese would let me take him off the force. I couldn't bring him here or have him on regular cases... but maybe Reese would let me retire him then I could just have him at home.

Jason knew Trooper would be bored though. The dog loved to be on duty, even if it was just sitting and guarding someone like he'd done with Alec for a while. Trooper had a keen sense of work and even if he wasn't out running around, he loved having orders to follow... at least Jason's.

They get outside and aim for Jason's truck, Trooper easily jumping up to lie down in the backseat as usual.

I don't know... I guess I always liked it that Trooper wouldn't take orders from anybody but me. He listens to others when he wants to, but I'm the only one he doesn't play stubborn with when he gets in a mood. Maybe I shouldn't like that though... maybe I should train him to take orders from others too so he doesn't have to just work with me.

Starting the engine, Jason sighs. He wasn't really angry with Reese... just disappointed. Trooper had been his friend for several years now, ever since he'd found him. To lose him, was like losing a coworker, buddy and roommate all in one.

Pulling out onto the road, Jason's mind continues to wander. He knew Trooper shouldn't have bit Alec. He could have pinned him again to keep him away from his master, but instead, he'd chosen to bite. He was doing his job, but he went too far. Did he not know the difference? Jason didn't think so - the dog was too smart for that. Did he just not like Alec? Maybe. Had he sensed more of a threat than Jason had? Perhaps. For some reason, Trooper had felt the need for drastic measures... if Jason taught him not to do that, would he then be less likely to protect him in the field when it really counted?

What do I do, Katie?

Rick follows Nate's gaze to Libby and gives him a little nod. He shrugs slightly, showing that he didn't know why she was in such bad shape. "Ty," he mentions quietly. That's all he knew.

Moving to Alec, he takes his sock and shoe off, then proceeds to cut his jeans that were ruined anyway because of the blood that was staining them. Alec cringes as his ankle is moved around - it hurt a whole lot more than he thought it would, or that he would like to admit.

Rick frowns as he gets a clearer look at the wound. "We're gonna have to stitch you up, but I need to take some x-rays too."

"Aw man. What for?"

"You do realize how long Trooper's teeth are. I need to see how deep the damage goes. Just by looking at this, I'd say he got a few nerves and you're bleeding like crazy. I gotta see how bad this thing is."

Alec cringes. Great. This was all he needed. He looks up at Nate with less than enthusiasm. "You can go now, nurse Driers."

Rick smirks, but nods. "I got it from here, Nate. Thank you."

To Alec, everything seems to take forever. X-ray, stitches and bandages, taking care of the nice punctures and gashes on his ankle. By the time Rick's got him all taken care of, he's growing sleepy and just a little loopy from the pain killers he'd been given. Nerves had been hit as suspected, making the pain just that much worse. Though Rick wasn't enthusiastic about helping Alec, he at least had some mercy.

The infirmary door opens again, and this time it was Ty. He hadn't realized that all the commotion had landed Alec in here, so he's a bit surprised to see him, but doesn't comment. He's looking only for Libby, and seeing that she'd obviously been frightened by the bit of commotion, he feels badly for leaving her.

Mustering up a smile, he aims for her bed, and once he gets there, he takes her hand. "Hey... sorry it took me so long." He looks to Misty, grateful that she'd helped look over her. His eyes drift back to Libby and his thumb runs through her palm. "I got someone I want you to meet... he's gonna help us, okay?"

He calls over his shoulder. "Con?" He'd wanted to warn Libby before bringing Con in. It was bad enough this terrible thing had to happen - he didn't want her scared even more by one of their two resident giants.

Con enters the infirmary slowly, quirking an eyebrow at Alec first, then looking over to Ty and Libby. Gaining a warm smile, he approaches slowly. "Hi, Libby," he greets. He doesn't stare at her marks or act with discomfort at her condition. Ty had explained what had happened, and he was only too glad to be asked to help. "Ty here says you two could use a hand." He grins and holds up his hands. "I got two big ones."

Ty chuckles and shakes his head. "In just a little while, we're gonna go back to your house," he explains gently. "We're gonna pick up your stuff and get you out of there, okay?" He runs as hand through her hair, trying to reassure her that it was going to be okay. "Con's got another truck so... we can make sure we get all your stuff."

It was a no-brainer that all of Libby's things could probably fit in her own truck, but it was easier than saying he wanted Con along in case brute force was needed. He continues to look Libby in the eye. "Then you're coming over to my place until we figure something else out." He said it as as statement. He wasn't going to ask because he wouldn't take no for an answer. He'd talk to Wyatt later, knowing his friend would say yes. Then after that... they'd find something better. But for now, he wasn't going to let Libby out of his sight.

What next?

Giving a nod to Rick Misty understood what he was saying. It had taken a while of working with Rick to understand his eyes and what they said to each other through them but now its was just a silent language that only they new and they had gotten pretty good at reading each other.

Walking over a little close to Libby but not crowding her Misty keeps on eye on her to make sure she was all right till Ty got back. Though at times she didn't get an answer Misty talked to her anyways softly.

Watching as Rick moved to the two people who just came into the infirmary Libby can't help but jump just a little. She was edgy enough and seeing something happened like that in this building when made her queasy just a little.

Continuing to watch him the fear was still so vivid in her eyes. She just wanted Ty to come back, but why she couldn't stop watching Alec she didn't know. Finally though Libby did turn away and slowly she layed down on the bed bringing her legs up to her chest and just holding them as she layed on her side. What was going to happen now? Ty said he wasn't going to make her stay at her house anymore did he mean it? If he did where would she go? How would they get past her step father?

Following Rick's orders and even giving a snicker of his own at the mention of Alec being put into a gown he helps Alec over to the other bed.

Finally realizing someone else was on the other bed and what bad shape she was in Nate looked quickly to Rick with question. He'd never seen the girl before and she didn't look good. His heart went out to her, and he just hopped whatever happen she would be ok.

Continuing to do her work Katie can over hear Reese and cant help but cringe a little bit. It sucked Trooper was being suspended just for protecting Jason. Yes maybe they both been in the wrong but wasnt the dog trained to protect him?

Alright J, I'll be here. Maybe we can do lunch or something. Sorry Reese is being so hard on Trooper.

His own fists

I'm fine.

Jason glares over at Alec where Nate was starting to help him.

Sorry about that. I didn't have time to keep you from feeling it too. Little misunderstanding over here.

Alec is still cowering in the corner, half scared of the dog and half angrier than anything about it. Having Nate's help, he gets to his feet, feeling his ankle throbbing with pain as it continued to bleed. He really didn't want much help right now, but he figured it was the best option. So he lets Nate support some of his weight as he limps down towards the hall. "Some dogs just oughta be shot," he mutters under his breath.

Jason glares at him as he walks by, one hand on Trooper's collar.

"What on earth is going on out here?" Right on time, Reese showed up to survey the damage, seeing the mangled cubicle, papers all over, blood on the floor, an uptight dog and Jason rubbing his jaw. He frowns and looks at Jason with hands on hips. "Care to explain?"

"Trooper cornered Alec." Jason shrugs. "I thought it was funny, Alec got mad, slugged me and Trooper went after him again."

"So where is he?"

"Nate took him to Rick."

"And the reason?"

"I think Trooper got his leg in his teeth." Jason shrugs. "I was on the floor at that point, but I see blood so it must be Alec's."

Reese's eyes narrow, his voice growing stern. "Did you tell Trooper to go after him?"

"Well no, but-"

"That's it!" Reese throws up his hands. "I am sick and tired of that dog getting out of hand, Jason!"

"He was just defending me!"

"I don't care!" Reese glares at him. "You shouldn't have thought it was funny and Alec shouldn't have hit you, but Trooper shouldn't have taken it to that extreme either."

"He was just doing his job!"

"He could kill somebody, Jason!" Reese shakes his head. "That dog is capable of tearing someone's throat out! Next time it might not just be a leg he gets between those teeth of his!"

Jason grits his teeth as his irritation builds. His hand held onto Trooper's collar firmly. "You can't blame him for doing his job."

"I can blame him for insubordination and brutality of those in our custody," Reese retorts. "He's bitten me, he's bitten two other prisoners, he's bitten Hal, and now Alec. This is the last straw. He's officially suspended from duty. Get him under control within three weeks, or he's going off the force for good."

"Aw come on!"

"It's either that, or he gets transferred to a K-9 unit and undergoes real training."

"What do you mean 'real' training? I've done a good job with him!"

"Not good enough!" Reese points to the door. "Take him out! Take him home and you get your hind end back here to finish off your own work day! But consider yourself warned, Hotshot. I won't tolerate another one of these incidents." Spinning on his heel, Reese stalks back to his office.

Jason wishes he had something he could hit, but he tries to keep a lid on it for Katie's sake.

I have to take Trooper home. I'll be back sometime.

From the other corner, Ty watches everything that was happening. He was going to ask Jason to bring Trooper with him and Libby but now... it looked like it was not the best day for that. Sighing, he looks around further until he sees someone else stand up. Perfect.

Alec continues to limp next to Nate, leaving a nice blood trail to the infirmary. The pain was almost numbing and it was hurting just to put any weight on that foot at all now. He felt stupid and angry with this whole thing.

Seeing Libby go rigid with fear to the noise that was going on out on the main floor, Rick instinctively moves a little closer, though he didn't want to scare her more. He didn't know what had happened to her, but it was apparent she was more than physically hurt. Ty had never mentioned a girl to him at all, and now this was his girlfriend? Rick wondered what situation she'd been in, though she seemed too sweet to have gotten into trouble herself.

"It's okay," he assures calmly. He had no idea what was going on out there, but he could at least act like it for her sake. "Just somebody getting rowdy. Kinda crazy around here sometimes." He winks at her. "Ty will be back... it's okay."

Suddenly the door opens and Rick looks up quickly to see Nate and Alec. "Good grief. What happened?"

Alec scowls at him. "Ask your resident four-legged menace," he mutters.

Rick's eyes widen. "Trooper? What did you do to him?"

"I didn't do anything!" Alec raises his voice, in no mood to be given a hard time.

Rick glances over to Libby quickly, then to Misty, nodding to her, silently asking her to watch over their frightened patient while he took care of Alec. Looking back to Alec, he frowns. "Keep your temper... where did he get you?"

Alec's eyes narrow. "Where the blood is, Doc. Where else do you think?"

Rick's eyebrows raise a little as he looks down at Alec's blood-soaked pantleg. It didn't look good. Kneeling down, he raises up his pantleg a little bit, giving it a quick glance to decide what needed to be done.

Still leaning on Nate and just standing dumbly as Rick looks at his leg, Alec's eyes roam to the table, not having realized that someone else was even there, let alone a young woman who looked downright terrified... not to mention, beat up. For a moment, his concentration is diverted as he stares at Libby's eyes. A brief flash in his mind brings a memory... a picture of another young woman he'd seen once with the same terror in her eyes... but the marks on her face had been from his own fists.

"Ow!" Alec jerks back to attention as Rick prods his wound.

Rick stands up and points to the extra bed. "Sit down. I'm gonna cut your jeans."

"Great."

"Don't complain! I could make you go get into a gown."

Alec smirks. "Cut the jeans."

Rick motions to Nate. "Get him over there. I gotta stop that bleeding. Trooper did a good job on this one." He was a little worried about it. The wounds from the teeth were deep.

Chaos

Still sitting on the table in the infirmary Libby's hand tightens around his hearing that he would be leaving. This was such a strange place, and she could help but be scared a normal fear that was not there. But as of now she was just a little kiddish.

But hearing Ty's words that he promised she would be ok comforted Libby just a little bit. He needed to go talk to his friend about getting her stuff so he couldn't expect her to walk around to much not that she could move all that fast.

Giving a nod Libby just continues to sit on the table. She's wait for Ty to come it would be ok. She could be ok here.

I few moments later hearing the door open again Libby looks up to see someone else come in the room. From the description Ty had given her before when he'd told her about his work Libby could guess the man who just walked in was Rick. He seemed nice.

Giving the confirmation that, that is in fact who it was Libby tried to smile a little She'd hope to have met the people Ty worked with in a better manor but this was what it was.

"I'm...Libby. Ty is...here with me some where."

Going to say more that Ty had brought her here so that she wouldn't be kicked out Libby jumps as the noise out on the main floor startles her. Here eyes going as wide as they could not caring to much about the pain, or that a few of the stitches were being streachs beyond there limit it was just a reaction.

Pulling her legs up close to her chest and cowering Libby didn't know what the noise was or who was yelling for help but her fear took a hold of her as images flashed in her mind. Rocking just a little as the shouting and commotion continued Libby's face went pale white.

Katie does her best to keep her emotions for trying to tug on Jason's. It took all she had not to laugh. It was far from funny but something about the whole thing hit her in a silly way. But feeling a sharp pain in her own jaw sends her hand intently there. Now relizing Jason had just been hit it was a little less funny.

Recovering from the blow her jaw still hurt but now she was more concerned if Jason was ok or not.

Ouch that really didn't feel good. You ok J?

Not even having much time to react Nate hears a loud crash and the next thing he new his cubicle wall was coming down, Alec was slamming into him papers went flying and Trooper was growling.

Laying on the ground for a for a long moment after getting the wind knocked out of him Nate finally sits up and looks around his office. There were papers everywhere, case filed mixed together...this was going to be a nightmare to clean.

Looking down at his hand that had been but a little he takes notes to more blood on the ground than should of been. Following the drops they lead to Alec and seeing his leg Nate forgot about his office and was more worried about him. Standing and going over to his side he lays a hand on Alec's shoulder.

"Hey let me take a look at your leg."

Pulling up Alec's pant leg and looking at the wound Nate knows Alec will have to see Rick. The wound was to deep to leave alone or make his own assessment on it. Taking Alec's one arm and putting it over his shoulder he helps him up.

"Come on Bud, lets get you to Rick's office before you bleed anymore on my floor."

Carefully and slowly walking twords the infirmary Nate takes it one set at a time letting Alec keep up with him knowing it probably hurt to put pressure on his foot.

No joke

Though wanting to start in on the plans already forming in Ty's mind, he sticks close to Libby, seeing that she was nervous to be here in a strange place. He doesn't mind when she holds his hand or when he has to sit on the edge of the bed so he isn't too far away. As long as Misty didn't kick him out, he'd stay.

Once Misty is through, he offers Libby a gentle smile. She looked horrible - like she'd been beat up. But she looked better than earlier. "Lookin' good, Champ." He reaches over to softly brush aside some stray hair from her face. "You get to just rest here a little while, okay? I'm gonna go talk to someone, but you're safe here... I promise."

He looks into her eyes, showing her that she had nothing to fear. "I'll be right down the hall if you need me... I won't be gone long." He gives her hand another little squeeze before rising from the edge of the bed. "Just rest."

Once confident she would be okay, Ty turns and heads out of the infirmary. Just as he reaches the hall though, he almost runs right into Rick.

"Whoa, Ty. What are you doing here this time of day?"

"I brought someone in." Ty thumbs to the infirmary. "Please though... don't ask any questions... not yet. Misty took care of-"

"For crying out loud." Rick throws up his arms. "How many times do we have to look after people here who we can't know anything about?" He moves towards the door, cracking it open. "Time and time again..." His voice trails off as his eyes land on Libby a little further in on the bed. His gaze snaps back to Ty.

Ty swallows hard. "She's my girlfriend, Rick. Please just let her be for now. She's been through enough."

Compassion takes over and Rick sighs. "Okay. But answers come later, got it?"

Ty nods. After everything was settled, the truth would work its own way out. "I'll be right back... you and Misty keep an eye on her, okay?"

"Wait, Ty... just one question... is she in enough trouble that she'd get caught here?"

"No." Ty shakes his head. "Nobody knows she's here."

"Alright. I'll leave the door unlocked then."

"Thanks, Rick."

Rick watches Ty take off down the hall, and shakes his head. What next? Entering the infirmary, he wanders to the counter, looking over his shoulder at Libby, offering her a friendly smile. "It's not every day we get a pretty lady in here," he comments. His eyes drift to Misty, then back to Libby and he chuckles. "Besides Misty, of course. I just can't go around saying it, or else her husband would have my head."

Wandering just a little closer, he can see now that a lot of damage had been done to this girl. No wonder Ty wanted him to lay off the questions for now. Rick could see now that it was best. "I'm Rick," he introduces himself warmly. "What's your name?"

Ty walks quickly down the hall, stopping at the main floor and scanning the cubicles for faces. When he'd told Libby he'd bring a friend, he hadn't been sure who it should be.

Alec gets inside TJY, getting down to the main floor, by way of the elevator. As the doors open and he steps out into the room, he's spotted by two very keen eyes.

Trooper had been standing obediently at Jason's side as his master had stood at Katie's cubicle, talking to her. He'd whined a little bit when he'd seen Ty come in with Libby, but Jason had told him to stay put. Now hearing the elevator again, his ears perk and he looks across the room expectantly. The person he sees though, is not a friendly. He's someone who wasn't supposed to be up and about.

The hair on Trooper's neck stands up and he sniffs the air, catching a whiff of Alec's scent. Turning his head, he sees Jason is still busy and not paying a bit of attention.

Trooper looks back to Alec who was walking towards them and his teeth start to show. A low growl escapes and without warning, he bolts.

Alec is just walking down between the cubicles when Trooper comes out of nowhere. He barely has time to back up three steps before the massive dog is jumping up on him and knocking him flat on his back.

Screaming bloody murder, Alec covers his face with his arms, feeling Trooper's hot breath on his neck. "Get him off!" he yells. "Call of this dog! Get him off! Get him off!" He tries to roll away but Trooper's thick paws dig into his shoulders, pinning him down as he gives a vicious bark, flashing his teeth menacingly.

Alec's shouts of panic echo through the big room. "No! Call him off!!!"

As Jason hears Alec's first shout, he spins around, realizing what was going on. He leaves Katie hanging and sprints down to where Trooper had Alec pinned. He saw though that the dog was far from tearing Alec's throat out, but was still quite agitated. And for a moment, Jason thinks the scene is funny. All of a sudden, Alec wasn't such a big shot. He really was freaking out, and a grin slips onto Jason's face. They're right by Nate's cubicle and Jason looks over to him and rolls his eyes.

Alec is still wriggling to try and get free, hurling a curse at the big dog and yelling out again for someone to call him off.

Finally Jason gives a shrill whistle through his teeth. "Trooper... let him go."

Trooper has to think about it for just a moment, but obediently backs off, his mouth relaxing to hide his teeth again, and the hair on his back settling down. He leaves Alec be and trots a few feet away, though keeps a close eye on what's happening.

Breathing heavily with heart pounding, Alec scoots backward as he sits up, staring at the dog, then looking up to see Jason... who was grinning. He thought this whole thing was funny, and it transformed Alec's fear into rage.

Getting to his feet, he glares at Jason, walking a few steps closer. "Laugh it up, Hotshot," he hisses.

Jason shakes his head and really does try not to laugh as he folds his arms. "Sorry. You did look pretty funny though." He chokes on a laugh. "Can't handle a little puppy dog?"

Without even thinking, Alec lashes out. And without warning, Jason doesn't even see it coming. Alec's knuckles connect with his jaw at such a force that it knocks him off his feet and sprawling to the floor. Unfortunately, it's just what Trooper was waiting for, and he lunges, this time getting ankle between his teeth.

Alec cries out in pain and instincts kick in, bringing his other foot slamming into the side of Trooper's head. Trooper yelps and lets go, but now the fight was on. Jumping up, he knocks Alec into Nate's cubicle wall, sending him flying onto the floor, actually hitting Nate and his chair on the way down.

Realizing that Nate was right there and not wanting to bite him, Trooper doesn't follow into the cubicle, but remains in the doorway, growling viciously.

By now, Jason is getting his senses back, and he calls off Trooper again, seeing that the dog really meant business now. "Back off," he orders sternly.

The dog gives a last growl and a low woof before deciding to turn around and walk back to his master. Jason gets to his feet and brushes his jeans off, rubbing his jaw gingerly. Having been down on the floor, he hadn't even seen all his dog had done this time around.

Alec is still on the floor in Nate's cubicle and had pressed himself back in the corner, pulling his knees up to his chest like a little kid who was hiding from a school bully. His face had gone completely pale and his lower pantleg was starting to show blood from where he'd been bitten. To him, this was far from funny. He'd lashed out at Jason, because to him, this was not something to be laughed about. Alec had stayed away from Trooper from the beginning and he hadn't been kidding around when he'd said he hated dogs. Getting pounced on just now had brought on some of Alec's worst memories and the fear that was in his eyes now was very real. He only had a few weak spots, but this was one of them, and he wasn't fooling.
