"Mmmm...I agree to a point. If we can save some lives and turn them to the good side, than we can gain information on taking the Agency down forever. I've mad some good friends out of reformed Agency, Everyone deserves a second chance. but its the ones that dont want to change I don't care about."
Sensing Jason was drawing closer Katie doesn't make any movements or signals that he was there. Keeping her hands in her pockets she paces just a little. Sometimes her talking with Jason came in handy, like this. They made an excellent team.
He seems on edge, wont look me in the eye. I would guess he's worried about Destiny, but something else seems off.
"How long ago did you start working for TJY?"
Looking to her left as Justin sits down Beth gives a small smile. Looking down at the two dogs she iches behind both there ears before looking up at Justin again.
"That was very nice of you to help your mom. I was just going to leave if you hadn't shown up in 15 minutes. Didn't want to be late to work. For some reason I don't think keeping a bench worm would make them happy."
Looking down at the small container that she was holding Beth turns it a little before holding out to Justin.
"I...made to much pie last night and...thought u would like some."
6/22/10
Harsh?
Chance manages a wry chuckle as Katie mentions him and Destiny getting along. "Yeah... yeah we get along pretty well."
Still listening, he quirks an eyebrow and shakes his head, hooking his thumbs in his pockets. "I have no remorse for killing Agency scum. Far be it from me to tell my superiors how to run the Elite, but if it were me, I'd do far less pampering of captured Agency people and start eliminating them. Get the numbers down 'til their extinct. Then things like today wouldn't happen."
Jason pulls into the Elite parking lot, and parks a ways away from the building. He can just make out Chance and Katie near the entrance, and decides not to approach yet.
You can be proud of me... I didn't blow up anything or cause any accidents.
Still sitting, he studies Chance from a distance.
What's happening by now, anyway? Is it still just me, or is there something up with Chance?
Justin comes slowly up the walk, Danitza and Zora obediently at his side. Spotting Beth, a smile emerges and he approaches quietly, glancing to her but not saying anything yet.
Easing down at the other end of the bench, he sighs. "Ma's bathroom sink started leaking and she had water everywhere this morning." He grins and turns to look at Beth. "I wasn't sure I'd make it here in time to see you or not."

Wait
Letting some emotions through for Jason that tugged on his humor to show she was giggle a little Katie shook her head.
No, sorry you can't blow him off the road. I think Reese would have a problem with that.
Walking outside with Chance Katie was happy he didn't try and protest. She would of insisted, she wanted free air too. She just killed someone and though it didn't bother her to much, it did stir some emotions she didn't like.
Standing with her hands in her pockets Katie takes a deep breath of air. It smelled light it might rain soon and if it did, than it would match the mood of many right now.
Looking up at Chance Katie's study's him for a long moment not being able to catch his eyes as he didn't look at her, but trying to read his body.
"I think your doing a fine job Chance. You didn't mean for Destiny to get hurt, and you didn't know this was going to happen. I think Destiny would argue with you too. She seems to be quite taken with you. You guys get along well."
Thinking for a moment and giving another small sigh thinking about today, and other days in the past that had been rough.
"Some days I hate my job too. On one hand, I don't care I killed an Agency skum bag, they have torchered my family, myself, and the people I love for far to long and I would do it again in a heart beat. But at the same time it still shakes me up a little every time. All we can do it just keep moving forward though ya know? "
Sitting on the bench outside the hospital Beth had been waiting wondering if she would see Justin today. So far he hadn't shown up and if he didn't soon she would have to leave for work without seeing him.
So sitting a small container in her lap Beth waited just a while longer to see if he would come, she would keep the bench warm.

Wrong guy
Leo was glad that Cassy was happy with how the little studio had turned out. He did wonder about her future though. She'd worked so hard to put this place together, yet she was planning to sell out once she was able to dance again. He guessed it really was none of his business though... if he were her, he'd probably be aiming to dance again too. Maybe this studio was simply a stopgap to her and nothing more.
"Well, I better be going. I got a car I gotta finish today, then hopefully I'll have enough time to clean up before I come back over here tonight."
Ambling towards the door, his hands are tucked in his jeans pockets and he turns once to look at Cassy for a long moment before shaking his head a little. "See you later, Cass."
Rick shrugs at Misty's question while he goes to wash his hands. "Who knows... they probably figured if she wasn't dead, they could make her talk. I'm sure she knows a lot she shouldn't from her father."
Shutting the water off and wiping his hands to dry them, he sighs. "I feel badly though... after all she's been through, then to get shot on top of all that... nobody deserves that."
Yeah, okay.
Jason sighs, his fingers strumming his steering wheel impatiently.
I just got stuck behind a slow-moving truck. Can I blow him off the side of the road?
Having Katie say she was coming with, Chance hesitates. He opens his mouth to protest, then stops, a smile surfacing. "Okay."
Walking with Katie outside, he leans back against the bricks, closing his eyes a moment to take a deep breath. "I hate my job." He shakes his head. "I wasn't cut out to be a bodyguard, and now Destiny's hurt because of it. Maybe this will convince Toby he had the wrong guy for the job."

Air
Giving a nod and a bit of her doughnut Cassy had though about the replacement for her. That would be a job in herself with how picky she was.
"Yeah I'll find a replacement or let people know ahead of time that I will be closing. More than likely find a replacement if I can though since so much work has gone into this."
Eating the last of her doughnut Cassy looks around again admiring there work. It really did feel nice to have this place up and in running condition it was a good feeling.
Working quickly with Rick Misty helps him all she could. Sometimes there wasn't much excitement around TJY but she was thankful for those times so when the bad stuff came along she was ready.
Getting thing prepped it didn't last long that Rick had to dig the bullet out soon Misty was sewing Her up and letting her rest in peace for an hour or so.
"I am happy the Agency didn't want to use poison this time. You think they were trying to keep her alive for a little bit?"
Out in the hall Katie paces herself back and forth herself now that everything had calmed down a little and they new Destiny would be ok Katie had a chance to think. She'd killed someone today, yeah sure she had in the past when on missions but today it was point blank killing it felt completely different.
Looking up as Chance says he is going to get some fresh air Katie stops and thinks for a moment. Maybe because she really didn't want to be alone ether and the face Jason said to watch him she takes a few steps forward.
"I think that sounds good actually. I could use some too. I'll come with ya, Rick knows we are here if anything else happens. I could use the company right now anyways."
Giving a small smile Katie takes a few steps forward to the exit with Chance.
Chance and I are heading outside, we will see you when you get here.

My fault
Leo chuckles a little, but doesn't say anything in response to Cassy's comment. He knew he'd done his fair share around here, but he didn't like getting any attention for it.
"Guess you'll have to find a replacement teacher once you get the feel of the floor again and get to go back on stage, huh?"
Chance grits his teeth, trying not to worry too much. He wasn't used to worrying. It wasn't fun. And he wasn't the one Destiny should be thanking - it was Jason. Chance had been a stumbling idiot, unprepared and distracted. He should have been on his game. This shouldn't have happened.
Arriving at TJY, he's quick but gentle, helping getting Destiny inside and into the infirmary. His shirt and hands had blood all over them - stark evidence that she'd lost a lot of blood.
Having the door burst open, Rick whirls around and steps up with Misty without hesitation. Taking a closer look at Destiny's shoulder, then looking in her eyes, he directs his speech to Chance. "How did it happen?"
"It was my fault," Chance states. "We got ambushed and I didn't see it coming."
"At the funeral?"
"Yeah."
"Agency?"
"Pretty sure."
Rick purses his lips and nods, then preps to dig out the bullet. "Give us some space - Katie too. Go wait in the hall - we'll call you when we're through." Once the room was empty, Rick relies on Misty to assist him, giving Destiny several shots to get her to sleep and to ease the pain. Digging the bullet out wasn't easy, but they triumph in the end, and Rick has Misty sew up the wound.
Once finished, they put Destiny in a clean robe and get her into the bed with an iv to let her sleep for a while. "She should be fine," Rick states with confidence. "She's young and healthy and I didn't find any traces of any poisons or anything - just a straight bullet."
Out in the hall, Chance paces a little before realizing how much blood he had on himself. Going to clean up, he washes his hands and rolls up his shirt sleeves before joining Katie in the hall again. He's quieter than normal - his usually cheery face is downcast. Pacing a little more, he finally stops and cocks his head down the hall. "I'm going to get some fresh air," he informs Katie. "Come get me if anything happens."

Shot
Taking a sip of her own OJ Cassy gives a small nod and takes a look around herself. It looked alot different from when she first got this place. But it wouldn't have gotten that way if not to Leo's help.
"Don't sell yourself short just yet, you deserve as much credit as I do. I couldn't have done it without you Leo, so thank you."
Cassy smiles her eyes sparkling. She wasn't sure how long this place would be open with her wanting to get back into dancing and all, but it was a nice way for her to stay in shape. Having Leo's flair to it was nice too.
Giving a laugh at Chance's comment it causes Destiny to cough followed by a wince of pain that shot through her. Though the smile was still slightly on her face her eyes looked so tired, this was just one more thing to add to everything else on her plate.
"I mouse...can...can be quite scary, but...I think...think...the bodyguard that came rushing in to save me was worth it."
Continuing to drive Katie new she was speeding but she also new that police officers new her plate numbers so they wouldn't pull her over knowing she was Elite.
Glancing into the review mirror Katie watches Chance for a moment a funny feeling coming over her. There was a look in his eyes that said maybe Destiny was a little closer to him than just a job, and yet at the same time Katie could see something else, something deeper and maybe darker and it gave her a chill of her own.
Finally getting to TJY Katie parts right by the front door and gets out of the car. Directing Chance to get out with Destiny Katie helps bring her inside acting fast. She'd already lost so much blood.
Kicking the door to the infermay open Katie enters with Destiny now blood stained on her own clothing.
"Rick, Misty Destiny's been shot in the shoulder, the bullet is still in there and she's lost a lot of blood."
Looking up from her desk and hearing what happened Misty didnt wait to hear anymore she was already up and throwing on her white coat to protect her cloths from blood. Looking over to Rick and giving a nod Misty would start getting stuff togther and sanitized while he was looking Destiny over waiting to hear his next order.
Taking a few steps back Katie stays in the room keeping her eyes in sight of Chance doing what Jason said and making sure he stayed.
Alright, I'll make sure he stays put till u get here.

A few words
Leo laughs and shakes his head, finally pinning the paper in place. Coming down the ladder, he quirks an eyebrow. "Seeing as though breakfast was not on my list of things to do this morning... a doughnut sounds pretty good."
Getting some orange juice and a doughnut, he stays standing, surveying the room and all the work that had been put into it. "Ya done good, Cassy... I bet you'll have plenty of sign-ups tonight, then you'll be on your way."
Chance looks down at Destiny, worry in his eyes. Maybe he was here now, but he hadn't been there when it counted. He'd failed at his job - he'd let her get shot. That wasn't part of the plan and seeing her hurt caused a greater stir of emotions than he thought it would.
He continues to brush aside her hair from her face. "I'm sure a mouse in a linen closet is scarier than a bullet, huh?" He grins. "Besides, you're too tough to get put down by this."
Jason heads back to the small crowd, trying to maintain control and keep them away from the dead body. Calling for backup, it's quick to come and soon there are more Elite and police officers to handle the situation. After giving a fast verbal account of what happened, Jason is released and is able to head to TJY. He knew the others ought to be there by now, and hopefully Rick and Misty would be able to get the bullet out of Destiny without much trouble. As for Chance...
I'm headed your way. Don't let Chance leave if he tries, okay? I think I need to have a few words with him.

Rank
Standing back and letting Leo hang the decorations Cassy holds her hand up in the air as he wobbles just a little wanting to make sure it was perfect.
"Umm...hang over the ladder a little more so its perfectly straight ok?"
A slight grin makes its way on Cassy's lips as she gives a little shake of her head and a chuckle. She was happy Leo had offered his help. Her knee had given out on her this morning, and she needed to rest it for tonight so ladders was really not that high on her list. But since Leo was here and offered it worked out great.
"Thats perfect, I wont make you stay on that rickety old ladder anymore. Come on down and grab a doughnut and some OJ before you go to your real job."
Giving a smile and setting the rest of the decorations on the ground Cassy would finish hanging them up after Leo left. Since he did the hard stuff it was only the easy things left and she new she could handle that. It defiantly was a nice surprise to see Leo this morning and she was happy she had brought some breakfast items in.
"Henson...come to my office I need to talk to you."
Looking up from the letter to home he had been writing at his bedside Wes raises an eyebrow. It was rare the Sargent called anyone to his office unless they were in trouble let alone Wes. Laying his pen down for how and standing Wes can hear the woops from his friends, Chaz being the loudest. Throwing his pillow at him Wes smirks and stands following the Sargent to his office.
"Hey Sarg whats up?"
Looking over his desk at Wes the stout Sargent looks back at him, studying him for a long moment before clearing his throat and leaning back in his chair.
"Are you know Captain Ross was injured and is unable to lead his squad. So I've been watching you Henson and I am happy you have you back here again. I think its time you leaded your own squad as well. I want you to take over squad fourteen for Captain Ross and lead the men in the mission over seas."
Looking a bit surprised and stunned Wes wasn't sure what to say for a moment. He new he would be second in comment of the squad but not the Captain. This all seemed like a shock to him, an honor but a shock non the less.
Finally shaking the a little bit of the shock off Wes blinks. Before bringing a hand to his head in a salute.
"I'd be honored Sir to take over squad fourteen. Captain Ross can heal quickly and rest easy knowing they are in my hands."
Giving a nod and leaning forward on his desk the Sargent gives a nod as a small smile forms under his mustache.
"I am happy to hear that. We will go over the paperwork tomorrow. Try and get some sleep now. You dismissed Captain Henson."
Standing with another salute Wes exits the office. Once in the hall he lets out a long breath he had been holding in. Just standing there the shock had set in again. But finally Chaz comes around the corner.
"Well...what happend?"
Looking up at his long time friend Wes' lips turn into a grin. Now that shock was going away and a little excitement sunk in. He couldn't want to tell Cindy, he was so proude of the title he had earned.
"Looks to me like I am your new Captain."
Chaz looks back at Wes his own shock seeming to take over before he lets out a whoop and slings an arm around Wes neck and drags him a little down the hall.
"Wow, way to go buddy. Now I take orders from you great. Ah...this is so cool Wes."
Disappearing into there room again laughter erupts and cheering continues as the message was passed around. Though they needed there sleep not much would be gotten tonight.
Looking up at Jason Destiny see the determination in his eyes, and hears his words. There was a great deal of pain shooting through her shoulder but she did her best to stay with it.
Felling Jason pick her up Destiny would of wrapped her arms around his neck and hold on but she couldn't at the moment so she just had to trust Jason wouldn't drop her and she did trust him. Leaning hear head into him Destiny struggles to talk.
"You know...the is the second time...time... you've saved me."
Keeping her own gun drawn and close to her Kaite leads the way back to her car keeping a close eye around her and making sure there were no more thugs lurking in the shadows. Once getting to the car Katie stops before getting in seeing Chance run up with them. Just watching Jason and Chance Kaite can feel his uneasy feeling but doesn't say anything. She wasn't sure how she felt for Chance. He seemed nice but strange at the same time.
I'll keep an eye on it, if anything happens you will be the first to know thats for sure.
Feeling her head being place in Chance's lap and hearing his voice it confirmed it was him. Destiny does her best to open her eyes and look at him her lips forming a small smile. Bringing her good hand on top of his that was over the wound Destiny talks.
" Don't look so worried, I've had worse before. I cant....think of it now....but I...I am sure of it. Thanks....for being there...Chance."
"Umm...hang over the ladder a little more so its perfectly straight ok?"

Crepe Paper
Fighting with Markus, throwing punches and taking one or two to his own face, Jason struggles to keep the upper hand. This guy wasn't small, nor was he completely inept when it came to fighting.
As the man starts to get away and go for his gun, Jason recoils in defense. But as the last shot sounds, Markus falls dead. Jason's eyes widen and he slumps back to sit on the ground, panting as he turns to see Katie.
Well, Hero... thank you. Yeah, I'm okay I think.
Getting up, he wipes a little blood from his lip and returns to Destiny along with Katie. "I haven't the foggiest where Chance went," he answers aloud. Leaning over Destiny, he looks her in the eye. "Hey... hang in there."
We're taking her back to TJY - it's safer than the hospital at this point.
Leaning closer, Jason takes Destiny gently in his arms and lifts her up as he stands. He nods to Katie. "Lead the way and keep your eye out. We'll call the cleanup crew once we're to the car."
Halfway to the car, Chance comes jogging back, still out of breath, with sweat pouring down the sides of his face. "She okay?"
Jason shoots him a glare, but holds his tongue. "She will be if we can get her back to TJY in one piece."
"Let me ride with her."
Jason hesitates, his emotions flaring, sending the signal that Chance made him very uneasy. But he backs down for now. "Alright."
Helping get Destiny in the backseat of Katie's car, Chance slides in too, letting Destiny's head rest in his lap. His fingers run through her hair, his one hand keeping pressure on her wound.
Jason backs off, now planning to stay until someone else got there to help keep other people calm and tape off the area.
Watch him, will you? Get her back safe.
Leo stands precariously atop a step ladder, hanging off one side, his hand held way up into the corner as far as he could reach. In his grasp was a piece of twisted crepe paper as he looked over his shoulder and down at Cassy. "This good?" He'd stopped by that morning just to check on things and had wound up offering his help to decorate for tonight's opening and open house.
The ladder wobbles and his eyes widen, trying to keep his balance. "Please tell me this is good."

First Kill
Feeling the burst of emotions from Jason Katie new this was bad. Being able to hear and see everything was an advantage. Jumping out of her car and running down the hill Kaite's own gun was drawn as she now tried to dogged the frantic people trying to get away.
Hang in there J, I'm coming...
Finally making it to Jason and Destiny Katie stops a moment as Chance takes off but brings her focus back to what was going on here Katie goes to Destiny who was laying on the ground. Looking at the wound on her shoulder Katie cringes before ripping a peace of her own shirt off and holds it to the bullet wound, it looks like it was still in there. That was not good at all.
Still putting the pressure on the wound Katie looks over to Jason and the thug struggling. Seeing the thug reach for his gun Katie new she had to act fast.
"You'r gonna be ok."
Taking her own up again and moving a little to have a good shot not hitting Jason Katie takes a few steps closer.
"Drop the gun now or I'll shoot."
Sending a little fear twords the gun Katie hopped he would drop his gun. Seeing the fear in his eye Katie could see it only drove his anger as his gun started to come up. Not taking a second thought Katie pulls the hammer back on her gun and one last shot runs thought the air rendering the thug dead.
Taking a deep breath of Katie not realized she had been holding her breath. Relaxing she was still on edge but a little more relaxed, but going back to Destiny she holds the wound again.
Are you ok?
"We need to take her to see Rick. Where did Chance go?"
Still smiling down at Ty Libby leans down to give the top of his head a soft kiss before standing up again her hand still in his shaking it a little bit.
"You helped me, now its my turn to repay you. Anyways we can say this is a little vacation."
Shaking her head and giving a little laugh Libby smiles. Her face had healed nicely and only a few scars remained but the light in her eyes had come back and shown even a little brighter with the knowledge she was safe. and it was all thanks for Ty.

Chance's chase
Rick grins at Ty and Libby. He might tease about romances going on around TJY, but it was evident by the look in his eye that he enjoyed seeing the blossoming feelings for each other.
"You better come," he agrees with Libby. "Somebody's got to keep him out of those cursed casinos."
Ty laughs and shakes his head, giving Libby's hand a squeeze. "I'll stay out of trouble... I promise. When do you think we'll go?"
"I'll make the phone calls and set up the appointments. I'll let you know."
As Rick leaves, Ty turns back to Libby, his cheeks a little warm. "Thank you..." He really did want this to work. He really did want to find a solution so he could learn how to read. Without Libby, he wasn't sure he would have even gotten this far.
Seeing Destiny's tears, Chance isn't sure how to respond. He generally ignored his softer feelings - they weren't the most comfortable thing in the world. But this time... it being Destiny... he couldn't turn from her.
As she falls into him, he almost doesn't know what to do, but it only takes a moment for him to slip his arms around her, drawing her nearer. He gives her a little squeeze and rubs her back. "It's okay," he soothes. "Shhh... It's okay."
Watching from a distance, Jason quirks an eyebrow. It seemed just a little odd that Destiny would go to Chance like that. He was holding her awfully close. For the first time, he wonders if perhaps more had transpired than just Chance being a bodyguard.
Thanks, Katie... We're over at the northwest corner of the cemetery. Not that you couldn't find us.
He grins wryly as he leans against the tree, his eyes still scanning the area.
Everything looks fine, I just... I don't know. I'll be glad when your eyes are here too. The service shouldn't be too much longer though, I think they're getting ready to bury the caskets.
As the first shot rings out, Chance whips Destiny to the side out of instinct, his eyes looking around wildly and his gun already drawn. "Jason, where are you? Shot's fired! Where did it-"
Too late, the barrage of bullets ensues. Chance tries to cover Destiny, but someone he would later refer to as an idiot plows into him in their own scramble, knocking him out of the way and he stumbles over some chairs. Shaking out the cobwebs, it takes him too long to try and get to his feet without punching or shooting the panicked group of people as they trampled past.
By the time he's up, Destiny is already being dragged away. "Destiny!"
From Jason's view, he hears the shot and automatically straightens, sweeping the area with his eyes and his rifle. "Chance, where are you? Where's Destiny?"
Without a response, he stays put, trying to get a visual. There. Someone had grabbed Destiny and was dragging her away.
No, no, no.... Katie-
He didn't even finish his sentence. Instead, he emits his emotions in such a way that Katie could see and hear everything that was happening as his mind processes it. Adrenaline surged through his veins. He takes the rifle and aims. He sees through his scope. Blood. Destiny had been shot in the shoulder. She was being dragged by a rough-looking man. Jason would guess he was Agency. But Destiny was in the way of a clear shot. Jason couldn't fire. Where was Chance? There wasn't time to find out.
Slinging his rifle over his shoulder, he sprints down the hill towards Destiny and the thug.
Chance is just getting to his feet and starting after the man when Jason comes flying out of nowhere. His tackle takes both the man and Destiny down.
"Destiny!" Chance races for her, sliding down on his knees beside her and seeing her wound. "Hang in there," he directs, while putting pressure on her shoulder. "You're okay... you're gonna be okay."
Jason wrestles with the attacker, rolling and punching, trying to get the upper hand.
Chance looks up. A familiar car is pulling up the path - Katie. His eyes bounce to the far side of the cemetery where a van is just leaving. That was it. It had to be.
Knowing Katie was coming, Chance stands and takes off at a sprint. Jason looks up to see him and shouts at him. "Chance, no!"
But Chance wouldn't listen. At a dead run, gun drawn, he vaults over small fences and headstones, finally making it to the main fence that he easily takes in one swing. Hitting the pavement, the van is just ahead of him and he misses it by inches. As it speeds up down the road, his feet hit the pavement as fast as he can run, chasing after it down the street. But it's no use. As the van speeds through an intersection, Chance skids to a stop, aims and fires, taking out a back taillight. But with traffic approaching, he can do no more.
Lowering his gun, he bends over and tries to catch his breath, cursing as he watches the van disappear.
"You better come," he agrees with Libby. "Somebody's got to keep him out of those cursed casinos."
Ty laughs and shakes his head, giving Libby's hand a squeeze. "I'll stay out of trouble... I promise. When do you think we'll go?"

haywire
Standing and listing to Rick as he explains everything to Ty Libby just nods a little understanding what he was saying. She had heard of Irlen before but she didn't know enough about it to have thought it was connected with Ty.
Continuing to listen to Rick Libby's hand finds Ty's fingers that had been clenching the bed. Her fingers brushing over his as she just lets him know she is still there with him though she wasn't saying anything. She was there for support, and that what she wanted Ty to remember.
Hearing Ty ask her if she would come to the Las Vegas with him made Libby's heart jump a little. A warmth seeming to wash over her. She had come here with Ty and was so thankful she had but to hear him ask her to go farther with him was a new kind of joy. She was wanted, Ty wanted her around and it made her feel good.
"Of course I would come with you Ty, as long as you want me too. I can't let you have all the fun you know."
Giving a smile to Ty Libby's eyes give a little sparkle. She new Ty was scaried but she was so honored to be helping him through this. This made her feel needed and truly special.
Finally giving another frustrated growl Katie stands from her cuble and without saying anything makes her way out of TJY to her car. Jason didn't need to say anything he was right, something didnt feel right.
I trust your instincts, you've never been wrong. I am on my way even if you don't end up needing me.
Drawing closer to Chance Destiny did her best to give a smile but it just wouldn't come. Drawing closer Destiny stands in front of Chance for a long moment before falling into Chance knowing he would catch her. Her sobs shaking her everything piled into one and the longing just to feel Chance's arms around her and feel his strength.
"They...there really gone Chance....I...."
Destiny clings to Chance as she continues to cry her words seeming to blend together so she stops and just crys.
Wolf...I got a clear shot of Chance, I hate that guy. I'm going to take it.
Markus moves forward a few steps still in the shadows his dark clothing adding to his descise. Pointing his gun at Chance the red light making his back.
Markus....Don't you shoot....we need to get Destiny first without risk of hitting her wrong. Markus...Markus.
Wolfs words were lost in Markus' ear as his gun rings out in the quiet, but to his bad luck something from the tree and wacked his arm causing the bullet to scim past Chance and Destiny.
Moving away quickly himself Wolf moves away still talking.
Lynn, take her down and get to the van I am getting the van, Markus you idiot grab the girl after she is shot.
The next few moments was haywire as bullets fly and people scream, Destiny trying to hide behind something. Finding and over turned table she tried to use that. A shooting pain seems to go through her shoulder thought as she lied in shelter under the table. A warm sensation soaking though her now ripped dress. The pain excruciating bringing her hand up to it and than taking it away her eyes go slightly wide at the blood.
Lynn...go go...get to the van...Markus come on lets go.
Wolf I almost got her.
Forget her and go...Lynn come on.
No I can't mess up I'll meet you guys where.
Seeing where Destiny went Markus movies quickly to where Destiny was. Grabbing her arm he yanks her up.
"Your coming with me!"
Giving a scream from the pain being yanked caused along with fear Destiny's eyes streamed with tears her mind going all over the place as he body wanted to give up from the pain. But another scream rang out only to be met but the butt of Markus' gun.
"Shut up or I'll put another bullet in you like your parents."

Colors
Chance keeps his eyes and ears alert, continually scanning the crowd. Once Destiny goes to speak though, he focuses on her - maybe more than he should have. A strange pang hits his heart as he sees her tears and hears her voice quiver. The Agency ruined lives - it was that simple. Destiny was so gentle... innocent... yet her life had been ripped from her. It wasn't fair.
Seeing her falter, Chance almost steps forward, but he waits, knowing she needed this time. Standing beside the row of chairs, he catches her eye and gives a slight nod. She had done well.
Nearby, Jason feels a chill run down his spine. Looking around quickly, he sees nothing. He looks to where the gathering was. Nothing. He looks to Chance and Destiny. Nothing. But something felt very wrong.
I don't like this... I don't like this one bit. Something doesn't seem right. But I don't have a visual. I wish we had more eyes out here.
Ty manages a grin and shakes his head at Libby. "Well thanks for coming."
"Mmm..." Rick sighs, still thinking. "What about that one that he said was in a colored..." His voice trails off and he snaps his fingers. "Irlen's... that's got to be it. All the pieces fit, but we can't do any further testing here." He tries not to get too excited. "I can't think of anything else it could be... the symptoms are right... but there's only one way to find out for sure. Come on, let's talk to him."
Walking back over to the bed, Rick smiles at Libby and Ty both before directing his speech at Ty. "Have you ever heard of Irlen Syndrome?"
Ty swallows hard and sits up. Syndrome. That didn't sound good. "Uh... no. Is it... is it bad?"
Rick chuckles and sits down next to Ty on the bed. "Well, it's nothing to be afraid of. You've complained to me before about headaches... being tired... still bothering you?"
Ty didn't want to say yes, for fear those were symptoms of something, but he finally nods. "Yeah... I just figured I wasn't getting enough sleep."
"That might be." Rick smiles. "But I think it's something more."
Ty searches Rick's face, then Libby, then back to Rick. "You think I have this... this Irlen thing?"
"I think it's a good possibility." Rick nods. "What it is, is a problem with the brain's ability to process visual information. Your brain may process things differently than the average person, and that's why the letters you look at seem to all run together or get fuzzy. In severe cases, some people even see words move on the page or it's so blurred they can't even try to focus on it."
"How come numbers make sense to me?"
Rick shrugs. "I don't think you have a severe case of Irlen's, if that is what it is, and when you're looking at numbers, you're not trying to process what you're seeing into a language. Even though both are on paper, your brain may be processing them differently."
Ty's hand grips the bedsheets without even realizing it. "So what... what happens now? Is there a cure or... or something?"
"There isn't. However, there are helps. This certain syndrome actually involves color."
Ty blinks, confused. "Color?"
"Mm-hmm. I've done minimal research on this, and it's actually color that's key. Colors make a difference to how we see things. Even something as simple as a pair of sunglasses can change our depth perception. It's usually a small enough change though, that we either adjust or don't even notice. The key to Irlen Syndrome is finding a color that will assist the person's brain process visual information. I think that's why on that certain restaurant menu you were able to focus better - it may have been close to a color that helps your brain process what you're seeing."
Ty wasn't sure if this sounded like a good thing or a bad thing. He gives Libby another nervous glance before turning to Rick again. "How?"
"Well, after finding the specific color to match a person, they can create overlays to set over things that are read, or they make glasses too. It's all based on very precise tinting and everybody's color is different."
That didn't seem so scary. Ty nods a little. "How do they find out what color a person needs to see through?"
"They have testing centers." Rick cocks his head. He really did think there was something to this. Ty wasn't dyslexic, he wasn't simply distracted, and he wasn't stupid by any means. "There's one right in Las Vegas."
"You mean I can't just... just do it here or... or at the hospital or something?"
Rick shakes his head. "It takes some pretty special testing to first confirm that's what it is, and then to find what color you need. It would probably mean a few days in Las Vegas."
Ty swallows again, his nervousness returning. "I... I don't know... even if.... well even if I did go, I don't have the money."
"Oh, I think we can work something out. And I would probably go with you," Rick assures. "But you have to be willing, first. Are you?"
Ty bites his lip. How badly did he want to be able to read? Drive? Be more independent? He turns to Libby, the fear all over his face. "You wouldn't go with me... would you?"
Seeing her falter, Chance almost steps forward, but he waits, knowing she needed this time. Standing beside the row of chairs, he catches her eye and gives a slight nod. She had done well.

"You wouldn't go with me... would you?"
Lurk
Waiting with Ty Libby didn't mind at all. There was nothing else for her to do today other than going to work and though she enjoyed her job she didn't mind taking a day extra off. No matter how long it was taking she would not regret coming with Ty. He was important enough her her that time did not matter.
"Yes, acutely I am because when I am with you its never a wast."
Giving a smile to Ty and reaching out to take his hand again Libby new he was tired of being here and this was hard for him but she was still so proud he had come. Doing this showed he was trying to work towards bettering himself and thats all that was important and no matter the path, and how hard it was sometimes Libby would be there with him.
Standing along side Rick the the tests had been long but Misty didn't mind at all. Double check scans for Reese, making her own observation and coming to her own finds. This was her passion, what she liked to do.
"He said he was able to look at the pictures I know what something was, yet if he saw the words he had no idea. Pancake just didn't look like pancake unless he had is memorized. Change the menu up on him though and he had no idea once again what he said."
Misty lets out a long sigh. This was frustrating, not because she was upset or had no patients but because like Rick she new Ty was no stupid. So why he couldn't read Misty had no idea, unless.
"I think I remember hearing about a disorder that had to do with the eyes seeing words differently than how me and you see them...but I can't remember for the life of me what its called."
I do have to agree I think there should of been at least two more agents there, like Me and Con, or Carson. Its a big area with a lot of faces that Destiny herself probably doesn't even know.
Katie lets out a small sigh as she leans back in her chair. Today she just couldn't keep her mind on her work. She was worryed about this whole thing Jason was at and the fact they didn't have more people scoping out the place. Even if she new Jason would be ok, it still made her worry.
Just keep your eyes open J, everything will be ok.
As Chance stays close to Destiny though she doesn't talk much she didn't mind how close he wanted to be to her right now, the closer the better in her state. Not paying much attachen to the people around them Destiny's own look was one of someone strong yet at the same time her eyes held the very sad glint to them.
Once Destiny talks with the minister things move rather quickly from there. Taking her seat close to the front with Chance waiting her turn. Doing her best Destiny holds her composure as she listens to a few people some whom she didn't even know but were friends of her parents talked. Songs played and the minister...and soon it was her turn.
Slipping her hand into Chance's and gives it a squeeze before standing and making her way up front to where she would standing. Clearing her throat for a moment Destiny looks out over the faces before looking down again at the paper she had.
"To lose a parent is the hardest thing a person would have to go through. To lose two parents at the same time is a nightmare. Knowing that now you have no one left. Here one day, and gone the next. It worse than a nightmare because from this you can't wake up."
Looking up again Destiny's eyes glisten she tried to be so strong but it was so hard all of the faces looking back at her, tears in there own eyes.
"Mom and Dad did a lot of things that weren't right, and went against so much but one thing they never did was turn there back on there family. Being the only child I was spoiled a lot, but I never felt the lack of love and I always new they were there for me when I needed them. And it was because of that love that got them where they are today. They were trying to protecting there family, and trying to leave would be the only way. Sadly they did get out, but not the way they wanted...and so we are left with torn hearts, and stinging souls."
Destiny's eyes rome everyone again and than back to her paper as she her shook just a little and her voice quivered. It was so hard to keep her emotions in, and keep herself so strong under this pressure.
"But if anything else it brings me a little comfort knowing now, they are free. I'll miss them, and our summers together, the tennis games and trying to beat my dad. I never did win but I came close. I'll do my best to keep there memories alive."
Not being able to help it anymore the tears finally roll down Destiny's face, her eyes turning red. The sadness and greaf just seemed to over take her and she couldn't hold it any longer. She longed to be held, to feel strong arms wrapped around her. Letting her eyes find Chance she just focuses on him as the tears stream down her cheeks still talking about her parents.
"Its not fair you were taken before you time. But everyone ends up going away in the end. Whats important is the memories they leave us with, so we can keep them dear to our hearts no matter where they are. Mom and Dad, I love you!"
Moving away from the little poteum Destiny starts to make her way back to where they had been sitting though her vision was a little blurry.
In the dark shadows of the trees, and buildings figures moved. No one would know, as the walked with great care not to alert anyone, non of them catching sight of Jason ether.
Markus take the right, Lynn take the left, I got the middle.
Wolf, how many?
As far as I know Lynn and have seen its just the one. Chance, he came in from a different branch to protect Destiny.
Are we gonna take him out too?
If we can get a clean shot at him Markus yes, but hit Destiny first than go in and get her. Remember Lynn don't kill her with your shot we need her alive to find out where those files are.
Got it Wolf.
And so the shadow figures lurked waiting, watching for the right time.

Should have been more
Chance sticks close to Destiny, making just a couple calls to TJY on the way to the cemetery to ensure Jason would be there as well. It was a quieter ride than normal as they head across town. Not surprising though. Chance really didn't know what to say, but it seemed Destiny didn't mind anyway, so quiet it remains.
Once they arrive at the gravesite, Chance is on guard. His body language relays confidence, while his eyes continuously roam the area. He lets Destiny lead the way, though keeps a close eye out on everybody who was there, taking in their faces and the way they looked at Destiny. Some threw him questioning glances, but he ignored them. Probably many hadn't expected a man to be with Destiny, let alone one who was obviously carrying at least one gun.
As they walk, Chance's eyes sweep the perimeter. His earpiece and mic in place, he speaks quietly but clearly. "Where are ya, Jason?"
"Over on the east side."
Chance looks and sure enough, Jason was beside a tree at a good vantage point. "Alright. Let me know if you see anything weird."
Jason watches as Chance and Destiny walk, giving them a little wave.
I think there should have been more agents here. I just don't feel right about it. We're here to protect Destiny, but there's too much open space. Why would Chance only want one other man? Or is he that cocky that he thinks he can do it all himself?
Ty gives Libby the best smile he can, grateful for her words and presence. He was fortunate... not only for the company and two doctors who were friends, but that TJY had somehow always been able to get the equipment they wanted and needed, where at other places, people would have to go to hospitals for these kinds of procedures.
"Thanks, Libby." Ty squeezes her hand. "I couldn't do this without you."
And so it begins. Seconds turn into minutes and minutes turn into hours. Ty is put through and array of tests, some requiring only lying still and some requiring him to answer questions or observe things on a monitor so Rick and Misty could watch his brain patterns. None of it made sense to him, but apparently it did to Rick and Misty, so he simply did as he was told.
After a few hours though, he was growing weary and almost regretted coming. But he didn't complain. Eventually, he was back on the bed, resting as he laid on his side, wishing he were at home. Looking to Libby who was sitting near him, he gives her a weary grin. "Aren't you glad I asked you to waste your day down here with me?"
Over at the desk, Rick observes different results, consulting Misty about what they were seeing. "Everything seems to be adding up fine," he muses. "This is a tough one. He's not stupid though, that much is for sure. He's a mathematical genius and there's no reason he shouldn't be able to learn how to read."
Sighing, he rubs his tired eyes. "He said the words run together... that the letters don't make sense and it gets somewhat blurry. But it's not his eyes - he has perfect vision. Did he say something about being able to read a menu at a restaurant?"

Nerves and sadness
Standing with Ty inside the infirmary Libby kept her hand in his. She new he was nervous and couldnt blame him, if it had been here she'd be the same way. Doing her best to give Ty a reasuring smile Libby didn't mind being here with him at all.
"I am sure there is nothing wrong with you, but if there happens to be something wrong, I like you just the same as I do now, and nothing will change."
Giving his hand a slight squeeze Libby's eyes give a sparkle as her eyes search Ty's face trying to give him the hope, and knowledge that everything would be ok she felt.
"Everything is gonna be ok!"
Misty gives a nod to Rick a she gets a few things together. She understood what he was saying and was happy to help. Working along side Rick was something she liked doing a great deal.
"In the end, I think this will be a good thing too."
Giving a small returned smile Destiny leans her head into Chance's hand just feeling his fingers and warmth on her skin. Just knowing Chance was close to her once again it seemed to help sooth just a little bit of the pain.
"It wont last forever, but it's already lasted to long."
Letting out a long sigh Destiny did take not to who Chance looked and if it hadn't been the day it would she would of made some comment about it but it goes left unsaid knowing there would be another day for it.
Turning back around and finishing making the tea and coffee Destiny new Chance would stay close and she was thankful for that. Once the tea was finished and they had drank every last drop it was time to go. With a heavy heart Destiny grabbed her pursed and headed out making sure to stop and wait for Chance a normal ruteen now, it just came by nature to wait and make sure he was there. Not to mention now she wanted him close.
Getting into the car and going it doesn't take to long to get to the grave site where everything would be held at once. Taking note there were more people there than Destiny had expected. Friends of her parents mostly, and alot of the faces she didnt know. On top of being sad it did make her a little nervous too.
Staying close to Chance Destiny pointed the way on where they were to go so she could talk to the minister before it started.

Something wrong
With Destiny getting up and going, Chance knew he had to, too. Watching her go down the hall, he sighs. It was gonna be touch for her today. The funny thing was that a week ago, he would have dreaded it, had she needed a shoulder to cry on. Today, he was glad it was him who would get to put his arm around her once it was all over.
Rubbing a hand over his face to try and wake up, the little nagging feeling in his gut worsened. He was walking a very dangerous line. Whose side was he on? It used to not matter. But if he continued this path with Destiny, would he still be able to do his job? It was that question that led straight back to that little nagging feeling.
Pushing it aside, Chance finally gets up and wanders to the desk. Someone was waiting to chat with him. Destiny would be in the shower for a few minutes, so it was safe.
Once Destiny does appear though, the chat box has been closed, and hearing her voice, Chance closes his computer too. Turning around and seeing her, a small smile appears. He wished it wasn't the day of her parent's funeral. Otherwise he might tell her how cute she looked. He'd have to do it at another time.
Standing up, he stretches and nods. "Yeah, sure... tea sounds good." He checks his watch and yawns. "I got just enough time to hit the shower and get some other clothes on, so give me a few minutes."
He checks the monitors once before he goes to make sure everything is clear before leaving it unguarded. Using the hall closet, he retrieves his clothes and makes a quick job out of taking his shower. Coming back out into the living room, his hair was still damp and just a little messy but not unattractively so. Today his black silk shirt was tucked into a pair of black pants, sporting a thin belt. A faint scent of aftershave lingers in the air as he dons his holsters both for his side and hip. He doesn't skip over his derringer or knife today either. A group setting was a bodyguard's nightmare.
Wandering to the kitchen, he finds Destiny and tries his best at a new smile for her. "Thanks for making tea... that's gonna be hard getting used to having to make my own all the time again." His grin is a teasing one as he brushes her cheek with the back of his hand. He knew that humor was not easy to come by today, even though he tried.
He cocks his head. "The day won't last forever," he mentions quietly.
After another night at work, Ty was back to TJY, but this time not mop floors. Entering the infirmary, he's more hesitant than usual, but having Libby with him helped.
Rick turns from his work at the counter and smiles. "Hello, Ty. Hello, Libby."
Ty nods, then sees Misty and gives her a little wave. "Hi."
Rick holds his smile. "You ready?"
"Um. Yeah."
Rick chuckles. "If it's any comfort, I've been wanting to use this new equipment anyway so this is as good a trial as any."
Ty smirks. "No comfort. But thanks for trying."
Another chuckles comes and Rick points to the table. "Have a seat. We'll be right with you."
Ty swallows hard and does as he's told, sitting, then looking to Libby. He was usually confident, or at least hid any fear. But today... today he wasn't so sure. He wanted Rick and Misty to find something, and on the other hand, he didn't. "What if... what if they find something wrong with me?"
Nearby, Rick hears the question aimed at Libby, and he looks to Misty, speaking quietly. "I don't think there's anything wrong with him, though I am concerned with the things he's told me. I want to have a brain scan then put him through several tests to check his responses. Gonna take a while but... I think it will be worth it."

Hard
Bringing her own hand to Alec's face Ryan returns the kiss. She'd gotten use to him spending the nights with them that him going back early just seemed odd but she understood and the sooner Reese let him have his apartment the more she could see him.
"Ok, I look forward to seeing you tomorrow than."
Giving Alec another kiss Ryan finally gets out of her car and waits for Alec to do the same before locking the doors for the night and heading inside. Tomorrow would be an interesting night not only because it was race night but because Roth would get what was long time coming to him.
Feeling Chance's hand run through her hair and hearing his voice Destiny new he was awake now. She had been herself for the last hour or so but she deiced to stay put and hope maybe the day would just pass by. But no matter how long she sat there reality was still knocking at the door and she new today she had to face.
"Yeah, I'm awake...just didn't feel like moving yet. I was way to comfortable. Guess I should now though."
Sitting up on the couch and swinging her legs over the edge Destiny just sits there for a long moment playing with a loss string on her pants. Finally letting out a long sigh Destiny stands.
"I'm gonna head and take my shower, promise I was scream at any mice today!"
She tried to find humor in her own comment but today it just seemed like it wouldn't come. Her spirit was heavy with having to lay her parents to rest.
Disappearing into the bathroom is wasn't long after that the sound of running water was herd, and than soon stopped. Leaving the bathroom and coming back into the living room a plane black dress that came to Destiny's knees, along with a pare of black high heels was what she wore today. Her hair pushed back by a nice little black headband, and just a little makeup. There was no point in wearing much as it would probably get washed off by tears.
Stopping in the living room Destiny trys her best to give a small smile to Chance. At least he was there, and she wouldn't feel totally alone she was in fact happy for that.
"I think I'm going to make some coffee before we go...would you like any tea?"
"Ok, I look forward to seeing you tomorrow than."

Rise and shine
Alec shakes his head at Ryan's question, not really knowing what he wanted tonight. "The car's at your place so take me there but I should probably just go back to the dungeon - keep Reese happy at least part of the time so he still works on that apartment for me." It didn't sound like fun, but it was the best thing he could think of right now.
Getting back to the apartment, Alec sits for a moment, still contemplating his next move. This was the only place he ever really felt like he belonged, even if Eli was rough on him sometimes. But freedom wasn't free, he was learning. It had a price and he was still paying.
He gives a little sigh, then turns to Ryan, leaning over to give her a kiss, his palm cradling her cheek. "Goodnight, Ry... I'll see you tomorrow night."
Chance's eyes crack open, his brain slow to comprehend that there was a soft light in the living room. Feeling lethargic, it takes him several moments to realize what day it was, what happened yesterday, where he was, and that it must be morning.
Moving his arm, he feels the bundle of warmth on top and beside of him, remembering now that Destiny was with him. They must have fallen asleep on the couch again, too comfortable to move after the movie was done. And once again, he'd had an amazingly good night's sleep.
But now reality was back and the cold hard truth was that they needed to get up and face Destiny's parent's funeral today.
Gently, Chance runs his fingers through Destiny's hair to wake her up. "Hey, Sleepy," he greets quietly. "Rise and shine."

Dungeon
Getting the car back into place Ryan gives another laugh and shakes her head as they replace the tarp over the car. It was way to funny not to at least giggle just thinking about it. Tomorrow was going to be a blast for more than one reason.
Finally on the way back Ryan drives her car and things are very quiet. But continuing to drive Ryan doesn't say anything. Though at a stop light Ryan glances over at Alec he looked completely uncomfortable. She couldnt help but wonder if it was because of earlier.
"You gonna stay at the house for a little bit with Eli and I to watch a movie or do you have to go back to the dungeon right away?"
Continuing to drive again Ryan hoped Alec wasn't to upset with her that she blew up at him and Leo earlyer. She was just so frustrated and it just came out.

Fight postponed
Leo's eyes widen just a little as Ryan shows her displeasure. Alec's eyebrows raise. Both men look at each other, then to Ryan, then back at each other again. Neither wanted to back down. For Alec, there was fear and jealousy there, just having Leo around. He wasn't used to having a relationship with a woman at all, let alone having ever dealt with an ex before. For Leo, he was still angry that Alec had stolen Ryan, plain and simple.
An awkward silence fills the garage until Eli rolls his eyes. "She's right. But for pete's sake, don't have it out here - we don't have time to waste tonight. Leo are you staying or not?"
Leo throws Alec one more glare, the nods. "Yeah... I'll stick around. I gotta return a key anyway."
"Alright then." Eli relaxes a little, though still shakes his head. "Come on. Alec, get this car started. Let's move."
Once the four are out of Mark's garage, they're on their way back through town and to the deserted auto shop. And once again, Eli has a snack for the hungry dog on the other side of the fence. This time though, Alec is safe and sound behind the wheel of Roth's car and doesn't mind driving in past the dog. It doesn't take long to get the car back into the right bay and the replacement back out again.
Eli tucks the tarp around Roth's car and snickers. "These guys are so stupid... they never even noticed there was a different car here."
Leo returns the key that he still told no one how he got, and wanders back to the other three, folding his arms and looking at the painted car, now hidden under the tarp. "Nice."
Eli nods. "Okay, lets hit the lights and get out of here. Leo, can you drive the extra car? I can take you back out to Mark's to get your own car afterward."
"Yeah... sure."
Alec quirks an eyebrow and looks to Ryan. "Guess that means I'm shotgun with you."
With the shop dark and locked up, the place is once again deserted. The deed was done. And tomorrow night they would revel in their victory.
Heading back to the apartment, Alec sits in the passenger seat of Ryan's car and is quieter than normal. He and Leo had managed not to fight, but there was still tension and now Alec felt it with Ryan too. He wasn't quite sure what to do, so silence, for now, was what he chose.
With Destiny snuggling in closer, Chance moves his gaze from the television and just looks down at her for several long moments. She was comfortably watching the movie... he liked studying her when she wasn't looking back at him. He could study her face... her hair... her eyes. He sighs.
Moving his arm from under her head, he puts it around her shoulders instead so she can lean into him and rest her head on his chest. Going after a couple more pieces of candy, he sucks on them, enjoying the chocolate. Or maybe he was just trying to think about the candy instead of everything else that was on his mind. In the end, would he really do what he'd set out to do?
Not much later, the bag of candy is set aside and Chance is burrowing down further into the couch, swinging his legs up onto the cushions too. Letting Destiny remain in his arms, he kisses the top of her head.

If you dont
Turning around quick and seeing Leo in the doorway Ryan smiles and gives a wave to him. She was happy he'd made it tonight. They had started this with him, they should end it with him too.
"I do say we did a good job, even if Eli did most of it. Its good to see you Leo."
Hearing Leo wouldn't be at the race tomorrow Ryan's heart sunk a little. She always liked when he came to see her racing even when they were just friends. Not mention the look on Roth's face. Going to stay more Ryan stops as Leo makes his comment to Leo and Alec steps forward, while Eli steps in.
Letting out a frustrated sigh Ryan looks to Alec and than to Leo giving a shake of her head.
"Leo if we could handle it just the three of us we wouldn't have asked you to come. Alec, just because Leo makes a smart comment doesn't mean you have to go after him, just let it go. Leo stop trying to start a fight. If you both really want beat the crap out of each other than hurry up and do it, than get over it so I can have my boyfriend and my friend in the same room without having to worry about who is gonna swing at who first. This is redickulace and childish, if you both don't knock it off I am going to knock both your lights out myself."
Ryan turns around with a huff and goes to her car to lean against it for a moment. She liked it that Leo was warming up to her again and wanted to hang around. She missed his friendship and wanted nothing more to have that again with him. But she hated there had to be so much tension still with Alec and Leo. Why couldn't they just get over it and move on.
Once Chance was back on the couch again Destiny scoots closer to him and reaches into the bag to pull out some M&M's as the move starts to roll. Poping a few into her mouth Destiny makes a satisfied grunt.
"Sugar is good...movie is better, and watching it with someone special is the best."
Giving a smile Destiny turns her attachen back to the movie digging for a few more M&M before snuggling down farther into the couch and Chance leaning her head on his arm and just getting lost in his warmth.

Dead
Watching Beth leave, Justin gives her a little wave, and keeps an eye on her until she's disappeared through the brush. Turning back to the pond, he just stands for a while, staring at the calm water. Eventually he kicks off his socks and shoes and finds a rock to sit on and let his feet dangle in the water for a while. He'd be there another hour before finally packing up and heading home for the night.
"Mmm... I suppose since we spent the money to rent it, we really should watch it." Chance sighs, taking his time before finally sitting up so Destiny could sit up too. "Go ahead and start the movie. I'll be right back."
Leaving to go down the hall to he bathroom, he returns a few minutes later, but only after taking a side trip through the kitchen to grab the bag of M&Ms they still had.
Settling in on the couch again, he puts his feet up on the coffee table and opens the bag of candy, offering some to Destiny. "Gotta have sugar to stay up late," he concludes.
"There he goes." Reese watches the monitor with Hal behind a locked door. Alec would have thought Reese was gone for the night, but he would have been wrong. Shaking his head, Reese sighs. "Where does he get that card key from anyway?"
Hal shrugs. "Don't know. Have Dalton run an analysis to see whose card it is."
"Yeah... I'll do that tomorrow. Okay, so he's out of his room, how does he get under the cameras on the main floor?"
"I'd like to know that myself," Hal muses. "There's three of them sweeping the room at all times and he's not in here playing back footage, so I honestly don't know. But that's the only way out."
"Genius. Well, wherever he's going shouldn't be too bad tonight. We don't have any Agency men to take down. Just as bank robber. Wyatt's on the case for that one tonight - he's leaving from home. We got a tip a day ago about the guy meeting up with someone at a club. At least that will be one case we can solve and get the guy in here to question. Keep Brown happy that we're still getting something done around here."
Alec makes it to Ryan and Eli's right after dark in his frequently "borrowed" car. Hitching a ride to Mark's, the car is revealed, and Alec can't help but laugh.
"Roth is going to be so mad, he's not going to know what to do." He stands back with arms crossed, admiring Eli's handiwork. "Too bad it won't last long."
"Yeah, tell me about it." Eli shakes his head. "Best job and I bet it'll get ground out tomorrow night, the same night he sees it."
"Probably." Alec chuckles and gives Ryan a sidelong glance. "One of these days, he'll figure out not to mess around with you bunch."
A creaking door makes both Eli and Alec spin around, ready to fend off anybody who wasn't supposed to see the car. As it so happens though, it's only Leo. He'd had the past several days off work, so really was clueless as to how anything was going since he hadn't seen Ryan at all. Seeing he'd startled them, he grins and waves. "Hi, guys."
"Leo." Eli nods. "Scared the tar out of me."
"What? You wouldn't be doing anything sneaky now would you?" Leo teases. Letting his thumbs hang in his pockets, he wanders closer to survey the car. "Nice... real nice."
Eli chuckles. "That it is. What brings you here?"
"Oh, just figured I'd see your masterpiece before the race since I won't be there."
"Aw you're gonna miss it?"
"Yeah. Got a dance studio opening I'm going to be at and probably won't make it to the race afterward. Might though, but I doubt it." Leo runs a hand over the hood of the car and smiles. "Couldn't be more perfect."
Alec quirks an eyebrow just standing back and observing. He'd been put immediately on edge as soon as he'd seen Leo, bristling at his presence. "Dance studio, huh? Your girlfriend's place?"
"You get around, don't you?" Leo counters coolly. "Yes studio, but no not my girlfriend. She's just a friend who happens to be a woman but... I have a feeling you really don't know what that's like."
Alec takes a step forward, but Eli braces himself in between them. "We gotta get this car out of here," he mentions, trying to avoid a fight. "Alec, you drive Roth's car. Ryan, drive your own, and Leo, you can come with me."
"Well, I'd-"
"Either that or go home," Eli states flatly.
Leo's eyes narrow. "Maybe that's the best idea. I know you three can handle this without me anyway."
Back at TJY, the phone rings and Reese picks it up. "Yeah, hello, this is Reese."
"Dad... he's dead."
"What??"
"Newton... the guy I was to arrest. He's dead. Found him in the alley beside the club."
"He wasn't even Agency!"
"Nope. But he's dead alright. Someone didn't want him talking. Coincidence?"
"It's becoming too frequent for any more coincidences. I'll call the station to have the scene taped off and investigated."

Heart set
Standing and still holding the bag with the fish Beth brushes herself off a little bit before bending down to pet the dogs once more before she was ready to leave. Standing up again Beth cocks her head a little and gives a nod.
"Just follow the path out of here and it sound bring me to my car. I am pretty sure I can find my way out. If not I still got your number I can call for help."
Giving another half smile Beth at least give Justin that so he new she did have a nice time. It was differnt to spend time with someone but it was enjoyable for the first time doing so.
"I'll keep the bench warm for u tomorrow."
Turning still holding the fish Beth makes her way back to the path where they came and soon disappeared down the path.
Getting pushed back once again on the couch Destiny seemed to get lost in the moment again. Everything else slipping away as Chance was hovering over top of her. Bringing her arms around Chance's neck and bringing him closer she whispers.
"I think we were here..."
Pulling him closer to her again Destiny press her lips to his and lets the the passion flow and linger the sweetness of the kiss going from her to him. Hearing the music continue in the background continue Destiny breaks the kiss as her eyes give a twinkle.
"We could always say forget the move and continue this session, but I know your heart is set on the move sooo...we better watch it."
Destiny pushes against Chance a little bit so if he moved she could sit up but if he didnt than she would be just extremely close to him.

Cue
As Beth catches Justin's eye, he wonders if perhaps he sees something new there this time... a little light, perhaps. It was a long ways away, but maybe the tunnel wasn't quite so long anymore.
Letting his hand drop as she looks away, he backs off, standing and looking out at the pond. Hearing she needed to leave, he nods. "I'll be back for Scott tomorrow. If I don't see you... keep the bench warm." He offers her another smile. "Can you find your way back out of here? I'm gonna stick around a while but I can lead you back to the main road if you want."
Chance grins and comes nearer, forcing Destiny on her back again. "Mmm... I think it was somewhere around here." Leaning in, he kisses her lips softly. "But it could have been here." He kisses her cheek. "Or here." He kisses her other cheek before grinning again, just pausing and looking down at her.
"I feel sorry for the next guy that gets this job... poor tortured soul." His teasing smile widens. In the background, the starting music for the movie begins to play and Chance sighs. "I guess that's my cue, huh?"

Sliver of a Crack
Taking the bag with the fish in it from Justin her hand brushes his. Beth looks at it for a long moment. The warm feeling inside returning. It was soft, warm...and it felt...good!
A the small sliver of a crack grew just a little more.
"Thanks."
Looking up at Justin Beth's eyes dart from one to the other just looking into them deeply searching, looking, wondering. There was a kindness there that Beth had not seen before. Coming out of her thoughts though Beth breaks her gaze from his and looks down at the bag she held once more.
"I better get going. It was nice spending time here thought. I'll see you tomorrow at the hosp?"
Sitting over on her side of the couch Destiny waits while Chance makes his phone call. She hated ease dropping but she did listen anyways. Since something didn't seem right she just wanted to find out if it really was Toby on the phone before or not. So listening Destiny trys to decied but in the end she couldn't figure it out if it was or not.
Letting out a sigh she just continues to sit maybe it really was nothing and she was just being paranoid. Why she didn't know but it was possible she was with everything coming up her mind could just be running away with itself.
As Chance comes closer again Destiny gives him a side long glance a grin finally forms on her lips again as she turns to him her arms crossed.
"I don't think I remember..how about a little reminder?"

Fillets
As he lies on the grass, a small smile spreads on Justin's face. Maybe this had been the right thing to do. Maybe he would find out how to be a friend to Beth. "You're welcome."
Sitting up again, he goes back to his backpack and pulls out a small cutting board and some plastic bags. Next, he goes to retrieve one of the bass from his stringer. Getting a fillet knife from his pack as well, he turns his back to Beth as he sets the bass on the board so she can't see him cut into it. Working with it for a few minutes, everything not edible goes into one bag to be disposed of later. But the two thick, boneless fillets go into another ziploc bag. Taking his water bottle, he puts a little water in with them then seals the bag.
Cleaning up the area so animals wouldn't be attracted to it, he goes to Beth, squatting down next to her and holding out the bag. "I like to put them in flour and egg and fry them on the stove... but they'd be good any way you'd cook them." He smiles a little, offering her the meat. "I've got a small cooler you can borrow if you want too."
Chance looks down at Destiny and sighs. "Party pooper. You're as bad as he is."
Closing his eyes a moment, he enjoys her hand rubbing his back. "Mmm... you're wicked. You tell me to leave, yet you entice me to stay." Leaning down he gives her one last quick kiss before he sits back and off of Destiny, standing to wander over to the phone. "You win - I'll call just so he doesn't interrupt us again 'cause I know he will and it would probably be right in the good part of the movie next time." Going for the phone, he dials without even having to think about the number.
"Yeah, Toby. You don't have to holler, ya know - I was right here." Chance wanders the living room with the cordless phone in hand, checking out the window and wandering some more. "Hey, have a little more faith in me than that, will you? Alright, alright, I'm doing it now."
Going over to the desk, Chance opens his laptop and clicks a few keys. "Yeah, I see it. Well tell him to stop! He's gonna blow the whole case if he-" He sighs and shakes his head. "Alright, whatever. Yes, everything is fine since I talked to you last. Can I get a little trust here?"
He scoffs at whatever Toby's response was. "If I would have known you were gonna babysit me long distance with this thing- Oh that's right, I didn't have a choice did I? It was you who sent me here, so unless you've got another agent up your sleeve for the job, let me do it my way, alright?" He scowls at the reprimand he receives. "Yeah, fine. Yes, tomorrow night I'll touch base. I don't know why you can't just go through Reese - he's all over this too. I feel like you're ganging up on me. ...I'm not paranoid! Look, did you get your questions answered? And I got the email from Kirk so we're all set and I can hang up now."
Sighing, he rubs his eyes. "Yeah. Tomorrow, I got it." Grumbling to himself, he ends the call and sets the phone down a little harder than necessary. His job would be a whole lot easier if Toby would just get off his back.
Wandering back over to the couch, Chance flops down in his own corner, his mood having been spoiled. Reality was back - this wasn't a game. Staring at the television, he tries to bring his blood pressure back down. Was it really such a good idea to be this close to Destiny? Things could blow up at any moment and it would just make it harder if she was attached to him. But it was her own choice... right?
Opting to go back to his happy self, he turns and crawls back over to Destiny, giving her a crooked grin. "Now... where were we?"
