"Mmm." Carson holds Misty tighter, giving her a teasing growl as she embraces him. Laughing in between kisses, he returns her love and passion, spinning her around and lifting her up so she could sit on the counter.
Sending light kisses down her neck, he mumbles about getting back to work. "Pizza... kitchen... must go...." Sighing into her hair and smelling her shampoo, he doesn't leave yet. "Work... gotta cook..." He returns to kissing her. "...Ready for... bands."
Everyone loves Kyle singing with JetStream, and his voice rings out clear and strong - even stronger than the last time this group had heard him. Sliding into his old role was fun, and the smile on his face proved it as his energy hyped up the crowd even more. Not missing a beat, he's all over the stage, not being caged behind a keyboard. Phil convinces him to do one more song with them, but then Kyle declines anymore, not wanting to take over JetStream's concert or Jason's time on stage.
So as the music continues, Kyle wanders back to his seat next to Alice, sliding down beside her and heaving a long sigh. The adrenaline rush left him with a slight crash afterward, though this mile on his face doesn't leave. Glancing to her and taking her hand, all he can do is laugh, silent behind the music and singing.
For some, the evening seems to take forever, and for others, the concert is over all too soon. The crowd is a small mass, milling and moving towards the back again, making their way out of the auditorium. And soon, almost all that's left is JetStream, most of Cryptic, Kyle's band, and a few extra friends.
Kyle had started to just stand back and watch from the sidelines, but JetStream would have none of that, dragging him to help and talk with them. There's a lot of talk, a lot of questions, and exhausting, chaotic, sporadic conversation. Jen and Phil have a ton of questions for Kyle, but not all can be answered and it's obvious that catching up was going to take a lot more time than just tonight. Kyle is able to convince them though, that he would join them at Mom and Pop's and he'd be in the area for at least a while so they would have plenty of time to talk.
Amidst the hustle and bustle, Kyle is getting worn out, but eventually finds himself off to the side a little to regroup. Spotting Katie, he realizes that he hadn't yet actually said hi to her. A smile grows on his face and he wanders nearer to her, the look on his face a little sheepish, tired, relieved and happy all at the same time. "Hey, KT." Not hesitating, he pulls her into a playful hug. "Long time no see. You're lookin' good."
Eli flips channels on the television, the volume up louder than needed. His free hand strums the chair armrest as a feeling of boredom takes over. He wanted to get started on his little plan now, but he had to wait until tomorrow night.
Glancing over to the couch, he sees that Alec is close to asleep, sprawled across the cushions with Ryan somewhere under there too. The guy had admitted Reese had blown his top at him, yet he had still dared to go against orders, sneak out of TJY and come here to spend the evening with Ryan. He was either in love or stupid. Maybe both. Eli couldn't decide. But Alec had agreed to help tomorrow night, so Eli couldn't be too annoyed with him.
A knock at the door comes and goes without being heard. When it comes a second time though, Eli realizes that someone must be there. Groaning as he gets up, he points a finger to the couch. "If that's Reese, I'm not gonna cover your butt."
Wandering to the door, he throws it open, surprised to see Leo before he remembers that he was supposed to get a key tonight. "Leo... hey."
Leo nods, his eyes unable to stop from wandering into the apartment. "Hey. Uh... woulda called but my phone died. Mark said he'd just leave the shed open... so you won't need a key."
"Sounds even better." Eli motions inside. "Wanna beer or something?"
Leo shakes his head a little. "I, um... saw a familiar car out there... figured you had company."
"The Elite car?" Eli smirks. "Yeah. It was, uh... borrowed I guess."
"Mm-hmm." Leo didn't have to ask. He knew Alec was here. "Well, I'll get going. Take it easy."
"Yeah, thanks." Eli waves and watches Leo walk away, feeling a little badly that Leo felt he couldn't come in. Shutting the door, he wanders back into the living room and flops down again. "Tomorrow's a go." No response. He lifts a foot and jolts the end of the couch. "Alec! You gonna make it to tomorrow night?"
"Mmm." Alec nestles further into the couch... pillow... Ryan... whatever it was. It was warm and comfortable and that's all he knew, and he was fighting falling asleep. His head rests somewhere between Ryan's head and shoulder, and his arm was tucked around her, their legs tangled somewhere with the cushions. He was awfully tempted to play hooky from TJY all night.
