Feeling Dani crawl into his arms Dalton holds her a little tighter to him. Just creating a shelter for her to snuggle into him and cry as long as she needed. Running his hands along her back gentile he just let her know he was there for you!
Listing to her words Dalton was a little confused at first but he was able to peace things together a little more as she talked understand a little more on what she was talking.
"Oh..Dani..."
Dalton felt so bad his only heart broke for her. How could anyone do something like this to a person let along a child. Dani had blocked it away to shield herself and in turn it did more harm now that she was reliving it.
"No thats not all your worth Dani. Your worth so much more, and just because someone did something like that in your past doesn't make it any different."
Just continuing to hold her Dalton leans his head leaning against hers. Still just forming the shelter around Dani to block out the world from her right now.
Leaning against Wyatt as they go outside Aerith's own laughter continues. A little softer than before but it was enough to show just how much humor she did find in this whole thing. Bringing her own arm around Wyatt's wast she smiles up at him.
"I think you dad is happy. He seems like he is anyways, and the sparkle thats in his eye when he's with Angelica is just nice to see."
Looking across the table at Reese Angelica smile and a slight nod. She eyes twinkling as she shakes her head a little bit. The display that had just taken place made her heart flutter watching father and son interact. It was nice to see Reese like that.
"He looks very happy. Aerith is a nice young lady."
Finding Reese' foot underneath the table Angelica bumps it with her own running it up his foot a little before taking a drink of her own drink. Looking across at him she smile.
"You look happy too and that makes me smile even more."

Happy?
Joined by Dalton on the floor, Dani continues to shake all over. It was a little hard not to pull away from him, but she knew who he was... she knew he was safe, so trying her best, she overrides her flight reaction and lets him take her hand.
"No, it's not okay," she whimpers. The longer she was awake, the more real her memory of the dream became. The more real it became, the more it melded with real memories that had been hidden from her own mind... until now.
Her breathing was still rapid as her heart continued to race. "I saw him again... but... but he never did those things... he couldn't have... not to me, he-" A sob catches in her throat. She knew Dalton would have no idea who or what she was talking about, but she couldn't formulate enough words to make any sense. "Carson... he always got me out of the house... always... so I couldn't have... no..." But it was true. And deep down, she knew it was. Carson had saved his little sister from many times when their father had come home drunk, but he couldn't have been there every time... and it was those nights that were now being brought into the light. Those memories were dark, frightening... ugly. And Dani had never remembered what had been done. The marks she bore were not just bruises on her arm... they were deeper... inside where they'd been locked away to save her this horrid pain of realizing what had been done to her by her own father. To now, so suddenly realize that she had been a victim of abuse was a shock she never could have prepared for.
Tears streamed from her eyes as she very suddenly felt broken and weak. Feeling Dalton's hand on hers, she looks at it for a moment before turning his eyes to his face. It was dim in the living room, but she could still see his eyes... those beautiful eyes that never lost their care.
Dani draws a sharp, ragged breath, which again is choked on as her body refuses to calm down. Pulling herself around, she crawls into Dalton's lap, curling up against him like the big teddy bear he really was. Burying her face against his chest, she cries, her shoulders shaking. "I was his daughter," she whimpers between sobs and gasps for air. "How could he do that to me?"
She pulls herself in tighter, begging to be held and protected from these horrid thoughts. Her few words were enough that anyone would begin to understand, even without the details. "Is that... is that all I am... all I'm worth?"
"Oh, no, ugh, no! I'm coming, I'm coming!" Wyatt rises from the table as Aerith tugs on his sleeve. The thought of his dad and Angelica really was not repulsive in the least - it was just too much fun to make a big deal out of it.
Reese grins and tosses Aerith a wink. "Good call. You two go have fun now."
Wyatt turns around and throws his dad a smirk, then looks to Angelica and gives her a little wave, a smile pasted on his face. "You too."
Reese shakes his head and watches the younger couple leave before rejoining Angelica. He chuckles. "I think Wyatt's happy, don't you?"
Outside, Wyatt starts laughing again, slinging an arm over Aerith's shoulders. "Okay... I'm happy now. We did enough damage, we can go eat lunch now."
Still grinning as they get in her car, he gives a contented sigh. "I think my dad's happy, don't you?"

Size
Being on the couch and completely wrapped up in Dani and her warmth on top of him Dalton can feel his own eyes start to close. He'd stayed away for most of the movie but now that is was coming close to the end his eyes were growing heavy as sleep started to over taken him.
Moments later though Dalton's eyes fly open as he hears Dani's cry and her jumping away from him. Not sure what was going on still half asleep himself he sits up right. His heart beats in his chest so loud if no one else hears it he would be surprised.
Just looking at Dani for a moment as he trys to calm his own nerves he see the look of fear in her eyes and it makes his heart race even more. It was hard for him to try and let her know it would be ok specially with his size if she was still dreaming but he had to try.
Trying to tone down his size a little Dalton slides from the couch to the floor so he was level with Dani. Moving a little closer to her he takes her hand in his own gentily.
"Dani its me, you had a dream....your safe...it's ok I promise, its just me and you here."
Not being able to hold back her laughs anymore Aerith just lets it roll out as Reese comes over and joins in picking on his son. It was so nice to see there interaction and see the twink in Reese eye since he had met Angelica it was very refreshing.
"It was all his idea too"
Aerith gives a nod as she throws a glance to Wyatt and gives another laugh. Finally though as her laughs slow down she gives a small nod before standing and going to the other side of Wyatt tugging in his arm.
"Coming on lets get you out of here before you do drown in your own laughter and before we have to see you dad and Angelica make out."

Just a dream
Wyatt gasps for air, his face turning a shade of red as his coughing starts to mix with laughter - from feeling like an idiot and from listening to his dad. Angelica's own statement seems to make the whole thing much worse, not to mention the look on Aerith's face, and Wyatt's laughing just proves to make him cough even more.
Reese can't help but start to laugh too, pulling Angelica's hand up to give it a kiss. "I think someone needs rescued."
Getting up from his seat, he walks the couple feet to the next table and gives his son's back and hearty whack. "Cough it up, cough it up."
"Got it... yeah... I'm good..." Wyatt wheezes and gives a little wave, his eyes watering.
Reese laughs again and shakes his head. "Boy, you almost made headlines as the first person to ever drown in a glass of water."
"Careful." Wyatt threatens with what was left of his water.
Reese backs up a step, grinning from ear to ear. "Hey now... who crashed whose party, hmm?"
"Oh, alright." Wyatt sets the glass back down. "You win." He grins up at his father, not having lost any of the humor in this whole thing. "I guess we can leave you alone... now that you totally ruined our own joke."
Reese starts to laugh again. "Aw... did I spoil it, hmm?" He nods to the table. "We can make it a foursome if you really want to."
"No... we were just fooling." Wyatt rolls his eyes and starts to get up. "We'll leave you be."
"Sit down." Reese shoves him back in his chair. "You wanted to crash a party, you got it. I'm not letting you leave now."
"But-"
"Oh, no... you're gonna have to stay for the duration, smooching, playing footsie and all."
"Agh!" Wyatt stands up quickly, putting his hands over his ears. "Lalalala!"
All it does is serve to send Reese back to his laughter and he looks to Aerith. "You might want to get out of here before he really creates a scene."
Smiling a little as Dalton shifts around on the couch, Dani doesn't hesitate to burrow right in and get comfortable in a warm spot. One arm draped around Dalton's middle, and her head rested on his chest, moving gently up and down with his slow breaths. Up... down... up... down... a steady, soothing rhythm against the quiet beating of his heart. Dani's focus on the television gets a little blurry, and her eyelids begin to close. She snaps back to attention to watch the movie, but all too soon, her eyes are heavy again...
...The movie intensity grew as it approached the end. The music became louder and a woman screamed as the bad guy came after her. But it wasn't the movie that was playing in Dani's mind. Minutes before, she'd fallen into a deeper sleep than anticipated and as the dreams began to flow, her hand had tightened into a fist, putting Dalton's shirt in a death grip. The dream was abstract, but dark and evoking the feeling of fear. Dani was a little girl again, wandering through rooms and opening doors, looking, searching for something important, but she didn't even know what. Finally, the last room was her own bedroom as a child - the one with pink curtains and blew gently in the breeze. The door opened easily enough, but the overhead light produced an eerie glow instead of the bright beams it was supposed to. The room was suddenly not the haven she remembered, and she became her real age again, looking in on herself as a child, and a dark figure whose face was hidden in the shadows. She saw herself draw back into the corner where the bed met the wall, her blankets pulling clear up to her chin. But the figure came anyway.
The scream coming from the movie registered as Dani's own childhood scream as the hands reached for her.
"No!" Giving a cry, Dani sits bolt upright, ripping herself from Dalton. Getting tangled in his legs, she winds up turning herself around and falling off the edge of the couch, her arm whacking the corner of the coffee table and her knee twisting as her foot gets caught on a cushion.
Her heart racing, she gasps for breath as though the wind had been knocked out of her. Her entire body shook and tears began to stream from her eyes, though at first, she didn't even notice. Her senses told her where she was and who she was with, but her mind was stuck in that dream... that nightmare... the nightmare that had unlocked a door that had been closed for years.
Whimpering, she holds her hurt elbow and leans against the couch without trying to get up. It couldn't be true. It wasn't true. It was just a dream. It was just a dream.
Reese can't help but start to laugh too, pulling Angelica's hand up to give it a kiss. "I think someone needs rescued."

Wide
Just shaking her head and sitting down at the table with Wyatt Aerith takes her own menu trying to find what she wanted. The chicken sandwich looked pretty good, but so did the Gyro wrap. Not sure between the two she was so into figuring it out that she only caught half of what Reese said.
Seeing Wyatt spit the water out on the table she moves her chair back a little bit and gives a shriek. Just looking at Wyatt and blinking for a long moment he wondered what on earth till it click what Reese has said.
Moving her chair back to the table she stops the waitress for more napkins before starting to clean up the water.
"Wyatt...breath breath...are you ok?"
Hearing Reese words Angelica's eyes sparkle as her mouth turns into a grin. Not even missing a beat as Wyatt spit out the water Angelica reaches across the table laying her hand on top of his.
"Mmmm...I could go for dessert. We should of had that first and than come here. That was if we ran out of time and had to get back to work we at least had something nice before the meal."
Angelica gives a wink to Reese, knowing how she meant it and how it sounded were to different things, but playing along was more fun.
Hearing Angelica's comment Aerith's eyes widen a little as she looks across the table at Wyatt. This was something she really didn't need to hear.
With dinner finished and the left overs left on the table for now Dalton leans back on the couch just shifting a little so his long legs could rest on the edge of the table without the food. Keeping his arm around Dani he pulls her a little closer to him so she was half between the couch and him and half on top of him. Completely comfortable her continues to watch the movie giving the top of her head a kiss.

Choking
Wyath throws Aerith a smirk for throwing all the blame on him, though there was still a smile in his eyes. Heading towards the tables, he turns to her and puts a finger to his lips to signal her not to announce their arrival. Instead, he pulls out a chair for her to sit at the next table over, not three feet from Reese and Angelica. Then he sits across from Aerith, absentmindedly pulling out a menu to glance over. "Let's see... ooh, they have a new steak sandwich."
Sitting across from Angelica, Reese had already decided what he wanted - knowing what his favorites were here. Movement catches his eye and he looks to the next table over, his expression going blank as he just stares and blinks. What on earth was Wyatt doing here... surely he'd seen them when he'd come in with Aerith.
He looks at Angelica then nods to the younger couple. He mouths the words to her, "on purpose?" Seeing Wyatt and Aerith, he knew is son too well to think that this was a coincidence. Wyatt didn't even like this place all that well. It had to be because Reese himself and Angelica were there.
Leaning back in his chair, he gives Angelica a little smirk. Speaking to her, he raises his tone just enough so Wyatt and Aerith could hear. "So maybe after we're done here, we can go back to your place for a little... dessert."
Now, Reese knew good and well that Angelica had some of his favorite ice cream bars in her freezer. Wyatt, however, did not know this, and the pause before "dessert" was too much for him not to hear.
Wyatt was just taking a sip of water the waitress had just brought, when he hears his dad. Choking on his drink, he manages to only spit half of it out onto the table as a coughing fit ensues.
"Okay." Dani smiles and walks lightly to the refrigerator, glad to get the topic of conversation off of herself. "Mmmm...." she looks around for all the things she needed for the salad and sets to work.
It isn't long before the food is set in the living room and Dani had chosen a good action flick to watch while they ate. The food was scrumptious and she made sure to tell Dalton so, even though her stomach couldn't handle a full portion tonight.
Eventually the meal is over, but the movie is far from it. Dani slips off her sneakers and sits back a little bit, pulling her knees up and wrapping her arms around them. Soon though, the position just isn't comfortable enough and she finds herself nuzzling into Dalton a little bit, hoping that he'd scoot back too and give her some cuddle time.

G2G
Laughing again and shaking her head Aerith straightens a little more seeing the car pass. Waiting a little while before she pulls out Aerith finally does having Wyatt in her ear makes her laugh even more.
After the short while and they are sitting outside the diner Aerith still had a smile on her face as Wyatt seemed to be overly excited about this.
"If he gets mad, I'm just going to point at you and say it was your fault."
Laughing again she finally gets out of the car waiting for Wyatt to join her before heading inside. Once in she looks around for a moment till her eyes find who she was looking for. Seeing them the grin returns to her face as she points and than lets Wyatt go first as she is close behind.
Just holding Dani for the long moment Dalton listens to her again as he just continues to give her the comfort she needed even if it was just a woman thing. Just listening he understands how this could confuse her and he felt bad there really was nothing else he could do to help.
As Dani finally pulls away a little Dalton smiles down at her the love so strong in his eyes. If anyone ever tried to hurt Dani they probably would never be able to tell anyone because he would get to them first.
Giving her a light kiss on the lips once again before letting her go and going back to the stove to mix the pasta and pour it into the strainer calling over his shoulder to Dani.
"In the fridge there are all the fixing for the salad if you want to get that stuff and toss i together that would be a great help. Than pick out what movie u would like to watch and we will be good to go."

Worthy cause
Being drawn into Dalton's arms again, Dani melts like she almost always did. Nuzzling into his chest, she thanks him. "It's nice to know I got you to look out for me." Her voice was slightly muffled as she spoke against his embrace.
She sighs deeply, her arms sliding around his waste to be closer to him. "But I really think this is nothing... it has to be. I mean... I would know if it wasn't... right?" There wasn't as much confidence in her voice as she'd hoped for. "It's not like I have any tragedies that I would be remembering or anything... I've had a happy life." She really didn't understand what was happening in her subconscious. But she couldn't deny the fact that all of a sudden, she didn't want to dig any deeper into her own mind. In the amount of time it would take to snap her fingers, she had put up a blockade against whatever it was her mind wanted her to see that was trying to surface. It was an unfamiliar and scary feeling.
"It can't be anything to worry about. I'm... I'm sure I'll feel better after spending an evening with you. And then tomorrow it'll all be gone and I'll realize that it's just been a woman's weepy sort of day."
Nodding again, Dani pulls away a little bit. "So what can I do to help get the rest of supper ready?"
"Yes, Yoda, we are." Wyatt keeps a straight face as he looks out at the street, waiting for the familiar car to pass. "Ooh, oooh, there they go. They're in Dad's car. No, wait, don't pull out yet - he's got eyes in the back of his head."
Waiting until the other car was a fair distance away, Wyatt points. "Okay, now."
Fifteen minutes later, Reese and Angelica are spotted parking at a little diner downtown. "Aha.... nice quite atmosphere... bet they really wanna be alone, huh?" Wyatt grins and evil grin. "Let's park and go plop down next to them. Dad will kill me, but it's a worthy cause."

Not ready
Listing to Dani Dalton understand now the look he saw in he eyes. Suppressed memories was something he new well and it sounded like what Dani was dealing with. It hurt to see her hurt but there was nothing much he could do other than be there to support her.
Not turning back to the stove at the mention of the pasts Dalton steps closer to Dani but not with fast movement now understanding why she was jumpy.
"The pasta's not ready yet."
Reaching out Dalton wraps his arms around Dani as he bends down slightly. Just holding her for the longest moment he just wanted to comfort her the best he could. Keeping his on arm around her the other goes to her hair to gentile run though it being ever so soft.
"I promise Dani I'll always do the best I can to keep you safe and not let anyone hurt you."
Pulling over where Wyatt told her to Aerith can't help but laugh. She loved his reactions sometimes on things. Just his voice, and his expressions they were so cute!
"Its good to see you dad enjoying his time with Angelica. He's to sweet to be sitting alone not doing anything."
Aerith's own eye sparkle as Wyatt feels her own little side of causing good clean trouble. Sitting and waiting Aerith puts a little music on but keeps it low so if they wanted to talk still they could.
"Trouble makers we are you know."

No memories like that
Dani feels herself not wanting to look up at Dalton, but his gentle touch prompts her chin upward. Looking in his eyes, she saw the concern for her, and in a way it made her feel good. He cared.
"I... I don't know," she admits softly. "I just... I don't know."
Looking down again, she fiddles with the roses even though they were perfectly fine. "I just have this really weird... feeling." Pausing to think about it, she again felt like just bursting into tears for now apparent reason.
Biting her lip, she turns to look back up at Dalton again, her eyes glistening. "All day I've been so afraid... but... but I don't know of what. Ever since this morning... since-"
She stops, not wanting it to sound like anything was his fault or that she was afraid of him. It wasn't true as far as she was concerned. "Well, since I was at TJY." She swallows hard, not even sure how to voice what she was feeling. "You know when, like... you see or hear something and... and you know that a memory is connected to it, but it's blurry and you're not sure what the memory is, but you know that whatever it was did remind you of something?"
Dani fingers the soft rose petals as she glances downward again. "That's what it feels like. Except.... except I don't want to know what the memory is... and I don't even know why."
So confused about her own feelings and why she was even having a hard time at all, a tear finally surfaces. Maybe it was more frustration than anything for having these mixed emotions all day long. But part of it was again the feeling like she was just a little girl that wanted to cry.
"It's dark..." Her voice comes out almost a whisper. "...and frightening. But... but I don't even know what it is. It's like thinking there's a monster in the closet but being too scared to open the door and find out."
Wiping her eye quickly, she fiddles with the flower vase and pushes it aside, stepping back a little to admire it. "But I don't have any memories like that," she states with confidence. "I mean, the worst I ever had it was when I was told my family died and that doesn't frighten me. So... so whatever this is, I'm sure it's just a weird emotional day or something."
She nods as if trying to convince herself of that fact. Turning back to Dalton, she forces a smile to her face, now trying to convince him of the same. Her eyes could never lie though. "I think we better get that pasta off the stove, don't you?"
Wyatt's eyes widen a little bit and he looks to Aerith as a silly grin quirks on his lips. "Were you just gonna say girlfriend? You were gonna say girlfriend."
He tries not to laugh, but it comes out as a snicker anyway. "You know... it's kinda funny to think about... but I honestly haven't seen him this willing to break out and have fun once in a while since... well since I was a kid."
He points to a side street. "If we pull in here, we can see when those two pass by. I would love to crash their party... just to be ornery."
Grinning, his eyes twinkle with mischief. "But I promise if it really does look like we're interrupting something special, you and I will take off. It's just too much fun to pass up this opportunity."
"I... I don't know," she admits softly. "I just... I don't know."

..and his...
Giving a smile at Dani Dalton was please to see the smile on her face as she puts the flowers in the vase. Going back to the stove again Dalton check on the dinner turning just in time to see Dani drop the flower and her hand shaking.
Coming over to her Dalton looks down at her concern in his eyes he really was worried.
"Sure, we can eat and watch a movie I have no problem with that."
Continuing to look at Dani Dalton takes a few steps closer. Reaching out and putting his hand on her chin he tilts it upwards to look her in the eyes.
"What bothering you today Dani? I can tell somethings not right your not normal this jumpy even when it is a bad day! What happened?"
Smiling as Wyatt leans over and gives her a kiss Aerith was so happy he liked it. She'd looked for hours on a gift for him and finally had liked that wallet and the personalization made it even better.
"I'm happy you liked it. I new you needed a new one and only hopping you weren't attached to much to the old one."
Griving a smile Aerith's eyes glittered as Wyatt gave her a kiss on the cheek. It was the simple moments she loved the most and was happy for everyone!
"Now about about grub. Chinese, or bother you dad and his...and...Angelica!"

Love it
"Mmm." Dani's cheeks gain a little rosy color as she sees Dalton had prepared things just for her tonight, even remembering the way she liked her sauce.
She giggles a little as he retrieves the vase. "I'm impressed you have a vase at all. A few months ago when Carson was still with me, I asked him if we had a vase and he grabbed an empty beer bottle. Said the green matched the flower stems." She rolls her eyes and sets about taking care of the flowers, having to stop once or twice to smell them again.
Taking one and just holding the soft petals to her cheek, she feels Dalton's gaze and looks over to see him studying her. Her eyes lock with his, and for an instant, it felt like someone was pulling something from her inner soul... something that made a chill run down her spine.
Looking away quickly, she swallows hard and concentrates on arranging the roses. "I'm sorry," she apologizes. "I guess I'm not the most fantastic company tonight. Just... one of those days... or something." She stares at the flowers as the same strange feeling of dread settles over her and she again fights to keep unknown images from entering her mind. Images that were dark... frightening. Yet without seeing them, how could she feel them... it was as if she already knew what they were, but her heart would not admit it.
The sound of a car horn down the street makes her jump violently enough that she drops one of the flowers on the table, her hands shaking. "Crap... everything's got me jumping tonight." Wrapping her arms around herself, she suddenly felt a little cold. "Can we eat in the living room while we watch a movie?" She needed a distraction... a comfy seat and something to keep her mind occupied.
Quirking an eyebrows, Wyatt opens the glove box hesitantly. Pulling out the little package, a new grin emerges. "Aww... you remembered."
Carefully unwrapping the gift and finding the leather wallet, his smile grows even more. "You are amazing, you know that?"
Even though Aerith was driving, Wyatt leans over and gives her cheek a kiss. "Thank you, Aerith... I love it."

For you!
Continuing to study Dani Dalton can still see the look in her eye. Something really was wrong and it was a bit odd she didn't want to talk about it but he wouldnt push her to much. If she really wanted to talk about it she would right?
Going back to the stove Dalton lifts the top on the pot that had the spaghetti cooking. Giving a strong wif before turning to Dani and smiling again.
"Chicken parmesan, Salad, and garlic bread, and I made sure to make the sauce the way you like it."
Taking a towel and whipping his hands off Dalton goes over to another cabinet and grabs down a vase.
"Here, lets put those flowers in some water so they don't wither on you. You can just bring be back the vase whenever, I dont buy myself flowers."
Dalton gives a litttle laugh before turning to Dani again with the vace. Cocking his head her gives a smile but continues to study her.
Being bounced around a little Ryan puts more oomph into it bouncing a more than normal, but hearing her brother mention pink paint. Blinking for a moment she just stairs at him before shaking her head.
"Nooo.....way am I wearing pink paint. I think I'll pass after all."
Her eyes follow after her brother as he lists off the other colors. Raising her eyebrow her mouth almost dropped untill it turned into a grain as she can't help but wonder what Eli was up to.
"Whatever your planning I have a feeling its going to be a blast watching the look on Roth's face."
"Chinese sounds good, but than again having lunch with you Dad and Angelica sounds like fun too."
Pulling out of the parking light Aerith gives a laugh shaking her head a little. Looking at Wyatt out of the corner of her eye. Nodding to the glove box and smiles.
"There is something in the glove box for you. Just a little something."
Inside was a package wrapped in a small box with a red bow on top. Inside leather wallet a Wolf engraved on the outside and in the inside were the words love, cherish and the other side was both there names. Attached to it was a small chain for his pocket with a little note that said Happy Birthday.

Pink
"Reminds me too much of myself... right." Carson rolls his eyes as he starts out of the TJY parking lot.
Misty's comment of a Banks being tamed brings a grin to his face. "I don't know... looks like you've done a pretty good job of that." Glancing at her out of the corner of his eye, he reaches over to ruffle her hair lovingly. "But I guess it's not so bad."
Wyatt can't help but laugh at Aerith's chiding as he goes around to the passenger side and gets in. "If I didn't tease you, you'd think I was neglecting you."
Buckling up, he takes a deep breath. "I'm thinking... Chinese. Either that or we can wait a few minutes and follow my dad and Angelica and show up at the next table over just to be ornery."
Alec bounces Ryan on his lap a little to tease her. "You think I wanna go up against your brother? I don't know - I've heard some pretty interesting stories. I might be too scared."
"Uh-huh." Eli's eyes are narrowed with sarcasm. "Sorry I don't have any camo paint, Speedy. All I got is pink."
Alec's eyebrows rise, again wondering at this secret paint job. "Pink. You have... pink paint."
"Well that and some white... and maybe some yellow... purple...." Eli grins and stands up to take his empty beer bottle to the counter.
"So um..." Alec cocks his head. "How are you planning to not get caught anyway? I mean after the fact. Roth's gonna know it was you or us."
"Ah, but will he be able to prove it?"
"Pink paint... come on. Eli McKade with pink paint in his possession?"
Eli's grin widens. "Don't you worry about a thing."
Seeing Dalton, Dani smiles and enters his apartment, following towards the kitchen were it smelled awfully good. Having the roses presented to her, her smile widens and she accepts them a little shyly. "Oh, Dalton, these are beautiful.... thank you."
She smells of their sweet fragrance before feeling Dalton's hand on her cheek and receiving his gentle kiss. Looking up at him, she puts a hand over his, keeping his palm on her face. It felt so warm and strong and safe.
At the same time though, his question revealed to her that the inner turmoil she was feeling was apparently evident in her eyes. She hadn't meant it to be. Whatever was bothering her must be something silly if she couldn't even think of what it was.
"Yeah... yeah, I'm okay." She nods and forces another smile, though her eyes lack the shine that should go along with it.
Dropping her gaze, she looks at the roses again, admiring them. "These smell good... but whatever is cooking smells really good too. What's the hulk got cooking tonight?"

Pretty
Misty smirks at Carson as she gets into the car. Buckling her seat belt she looks over at him a little humor in her own eyes.
"Maybe you don't wanna see him because he reminds you to much of yourself."
Her eyes twinkle with the humor in them from teasing Carson once again. Reaching over she takes his hand giving it a slight squeeze to show she was joking. Bringing it to her lips she gives it a kiss before leaning her face on it slightly.
"You brother seems to have found himself a girl. She seems pretty nice. Spunky like him, she is part of the street racing outside of town. Who knows maybe she can tame him. Than again many not seeing as he is a Banks."
Giving a little jump Areith's eyes flow open as she sits up and looks at Wyatt. Receiving the kiss she is still a bit startled but gives it back to him willing. Though when he backs away from the kiss she gives his arm a wack.
"You scared the crap out of me. And if it had been anyone else I woulda punched them in the face."
Aerith's eyes dance as she looks back at Wyatt the love for him so clear in her eyes. They had spent so much time together over the winter that now summer was here again she was looking forward to camping trips and more fishing for sure.
"Get in the car you knuckle head before I change my mind on lunch and than tell me were you want to go."
Ryan can't help but let out a roaring laugh as she listens to her brother and Alec go back and forth. She liked they were getting along and she couldnt help but see there minds working together.
"I think I'm a little scared now with the both of you plotting."
Giving another laugh Ryan looks at Alec over her shoulder giving him a quick kiss.
"I don't know my car is pretty important to me, but...I guess if you very gentil with it, I can turst you. But you hurt my baby Eli...and so help me...Alec will take it out on you."
Ryan slicks her tong out at Eli clearly joking around with him and having a good time over it.
"Can I wear camo paint and be a big and bad too since you guys are the brains I can be the looks."
Hearing the knock on the door Dalton rushes to answer it a big smile on his face. Opening the door the smell of Chicken parm wafts through the air.
"Hey there cutie, I'm been waiting for you."
Opening the door more for her Dalton waits for her to get inside before shutting the door behind and him hurrying back to the kitchen knowing Dani would follow. Waiting to see her again Dalton pulls his hand from behind his back revealing a dozen roses.
"Pretty flowers for my pretty lady."
Searching Dani's face for a moment Dalton can see the look in her eyes the same he had seen before. Something was wrong, he could tell and still feel it though he wasn't sure what it was.
Coming a little closer with the flowers Dalton brings a hand to her face before leaning down to kiss her lips gentily and than back away searching her eyes.
"Dani, are you ok?"

Confusing emotions
Wyatt straightens up his desk and grabs his wallet before heading to the exit. Giving a wave to a couple others, he gets outside and squints a little in the sunshine. Spotting Aerith's car, he grins.
Coming up along the driver's side, he keeps an eye on the mirrors, seeing that she hadn't yet spotted him. Then leaning down in the open window, he puts his face close to hers. "Hey."
Waiting for her to turn, he just in the right place to give her a kiss on the lips before offering a teasing smile. "Shouldn't let a guy sneak up on you like that, ya know. He might think he could get a ride from you or something."
"Ah." Carson nods, still thinking. Justin, huh. "I was thinking about Scott today, wondering how he was doing. I heard Alec was actually helping out - surprised the tar out of me on that one."
Finally getting into the car, he slides in behind the steering wheel and starts the engine, waiting for Misty to join him. "Though I also heard Alec was still getting himself into plenty trouble, and that did not surprise me." He rolls his eyes. "And people wonder why I don't want to see my own brother."
Ryan's teasing makes Eli quirk an eyebrow, though he doesn't respond quick enough. Instead, Alec catches the look on his face and nudges Ryan. "Uh-oh... I have a feeling your big brother here has at least one bad boy bone in his body." He tosses Eli a grin. "I bet you could pick those locks quite well yourself."
Eli chuckles and leans back, putting his hands behind his head and gaining a mock proud look. "Never was good with the locks. I was just the mastermind."
"Oooh, mastermind, eh?" Alec laughs. "Touche. So what time is this going down anyway?"
"Eleven tonight. When everybody is good and gone and it's nice and dark. You two can take Ryan's car and I'll drive the one from a buddy that will replace Roth's until we switch his back. Then when we get on over to the other garage, I can take Ryan's car... unless she'd rather drive her own than ride with you."
Alec cocks his head and puts his chin over Ryan's shoulder to look at her eyes only inches away. "What'll it be, Babe? You gonna choose your car over me?"
Dani sits in her car for the longest time, her hands still resting on the steering wheel. Her whole day seemed foggy and she didn't even know why. Ever since she'd been to TJY that morning, it was like her mind had been pulling her in a million directions at once, without explanation. She had a bit of a headache now, and her stomach still wasn't quite settled from the lunch she'd had. But she hadn't wanted to cancel her date with Dalton.
Taking a deep breath, she again sees the pieces of stapler scattered on Dalton's office floor. Why did it bother her so much? So he got mad and threw something at the wall. She sometimes lost her temper too and she knew he wouldn't hurt her. He was a big teddy bear when it came to her and she knew it. But it was those pieces... imagining the stapler bouncing off the wall and imagining how it sounded...
Dani shakes her head and finally gets out of her car, shutting and locking it. Making her way up to Dalton's door, she stops halfway and looks at the sidewalk. Suddenly part of her didn't even want to be here. It was confusing... she always wanted to be with Dalton. But it was like part of her wanted to go home and go curl up in bed with her favorite blanket and just cry. She wasn't normally one to be emotional... was something out of whack with her or what?
Turning around, she almost does walk right back to her car, but she stops herself and once more turns to continue to the door. They were going to have supper... and ice cream... and probably a movie. She'd even brought his favorite ice cream toppings. Her weird reactions were absolutely ridiculous.
Finally she rings the doorbell and waits, hoping her strange mood wasn't written all over her face. It was obvious that Dalton had had a hard day and she wanted to make it better, not worse.
Somtimes
Giving a smile and a shake of her head Reese new her to well. Back tracking a little Angelica opens the draw to her desk and slips her wallet back inside. If she didn't need to bring it she wouldn't it was one less thing to keep track of.
Finally exiting her office Angelica catches the last bit of Reese and Wyatt's messing around. A smile forms on her lips as she watches for a moment a soft chuckle escaping. It was so cute to watch Reese and Wyatt play around the bond between it was strong and something she liked seeing.
Just leaving them be Angelica makes her way to the door to wait. She didn't mind how long it took Reese she'd wait for him knowing he did have other stuff to do before hand.
Sitting outside with the windows open Areith waits for Wyatt. On the days off that the restraint was closed Aerith often met Wyatt for lunch and today was no different. She liked how there relationship was going and the time they spend together, it was always nice and she enjoyed it.
Leaning her head back aganst the seat Aerith enjoys the sun shine a smile on her face as she waits for Wyatt.
Sitting in Alec's lap a grin forms on Ryan's face. She couldn't help but love her brothers plan her own little payback for what he had done to her. Being in on her brother's plan along with Alec it just had something about it she liked.
"We separate...sometimes...hardly ever...but sometimes. Anyways thats not the point here.."
Ryan grins again her eyes dancing. Leaning against Alec a little she puts her hands over top of his thinking for a long moment.
"And your going to want me to be the look out right? Or do I get to be up front in the actions too? I do have to say this is kind of exciting. I didnt think you had the bad boy bone in your body Bro."
Sticking her tong out at Eli she follows it up with a quick teasing smile. She was a bit surprised that Eli would come up with something like this but she only was teasing him anyways.

An array of scenarios
Reese manages a weary smile and he nods. "Yeah... lunch away from this crazy lot sounds great. You always know the perfect solution."
His eyes find Angelica's and just linger there for several moments, his smile seeming to soften but not leave his face.
Snapping back to attention, he stands up. "Alright... just let me go make sure I don't leave too many things hanging and I'll meet you at the door." Leaving her office, he stops and pokes just his head back in. "And no, leave your wallet here. It's on me today."
Wyatt was just coming down the hall and he stops, a teasing grin on his face before his dad turns around. "Mmm... got a lunch date, do we?"
"And what business is it of yours?"
"Oh, I don't know." Wyatt tries not to laugh as he gives a dramatic sigh. "What a cute couple..."
"I oughtta...." Reese comes alongside and puts his son in a headlock to drag him down the hall with him.
"Ack! Help!" Wyatt laughs and struggles, but not too much as he stumbles along beside Reese. "Alright, alright, alright, I give! I've got a lunch date too! Happy now?"
Reese stops and releases him, catching his breath. "Aww... you and Aerith... what a cute couple."
"Ma'am, is your computer plugged in?" Justin flops his head down on his desk, still holding his phone to his ear. A groan wanted to come so badly, but he keeps it at bay. "Yes? Alright. And you've tried the power button? Well I don't know, I'm sure it's on the tower. I'm sorry, but I don't know what your computer looks like. Look for a round button..."
Getting off the phone a half hour later, Justin feels like pulling out his hair. "Why did I ever offer tech support?!" he yells at no one. Jotting a quick note, he reminds himself to call the paper tomorrow and remove the ad. He needed the money, but this was ridiculous.
The phone rings again. "Yeah, hello? Oh, Mr. Whitaker, hi. Yes, I looked at your porch yesterday and I'd be happy to fix it for you. Just cost of labor and new lumber, but that shouldn't be much. Uh-huh..." He writes while repeating instructions aloud. "Don't go inside the yard. Mean bulldog." His pen goes flying across the room, though a smile was pasted on his face. "Yes sir. Friday. Okay. Yes. Goodbye."
Hanging up once more, he spins around in his computer chair. Minor maintenance wasn't quite as bad as the tech support, but he'd had some doozies lately. "I think I need a therapist," he mumbles.
Wandering to his kitchen, he grabs an orange and heads to the living room, switching on the television. He'd relax for a while then get started on more of Scott's case. He had some puzzle pieces he wanted to fit together before tomorrow. And he had to remember to go in early in the morning to make sure Scott was in good enough shape before Sapphire would arrive.
"Okay... so we're gonna go in, get the car, do a little switcheroo and take Roth's baby over to Mark's shed on the other side of town." Eli doodles on a piece of paper at the kitchen table as he talks of that night's plans.
Alec cocks his head. "And you want me for...?"
"There's a couple locks... one on the gate around the garage and then the garage door itself." Eli gives Alec a sidelong glance. "They can't know anyone was there so breaking anything is out of the question. And... I figured with your, uh... expertise... that you were the man to call."
Alec laughs and leans back against the wall as he sat sideways in the chair, his feet up on another chair and Ryan still tucked into his lap. "Need to break into a building, call the crook, right?"
Eli grins. "Why not?"
"Okay... yeah, I can do that, but what do I get out of this whole mess?"
Eli knew Alec wasn't really serious, but he bites anyway. "I'll let you drive Roth's car over to the other garage."
Alec's eyes spark with mischief as his arms tighten a little around Ryan's waist. "Mmm... do I get someone to ride shotgun and look out for cops?"
Eli roll his eyes. "As if I could separate you two if I wanted to."
Alec laughs again and kisses the back of Ryan's neck. "Mm-hmm." Thinking a moment, a new question comes to mind. "What about your girl? Won't Roth blame her too?"
"She's out of town... he'll be mad but nothing can come back on her."
"And um... just what kind of paint job are you planning for Roth's car?"
An almost-evil grin spreads across Eli's face. "Oh, you'll find out. I'll need both your guys' help on the paint job to make sure it can be done quick enough."
Leo sits in his car, looking out at the lake that shimmered in the late afternoon sunlight. He sighs. It was just one of those days. He'd had a short day at work and after that, he'd found his way here. Tonight at Baxtor had been canceled... he hadn't talked with Cassy all day... and he was bored.
His mind drifts to Ryan, Eli and Alec. He knew what they were doing tonight, and he had to admit that he approved of the shenanigans. Roth deserved every bit of it. But somehow, even though Leo had been invited, he felt left out. It was a silly feeling and completely self-inflicted. But it made him sigh anyway as he continued to look at the water.

Tell me all your problems!
Giving a laugh at Rick and a wave she mouths thank you before sliding her arm around Carson's wast and walking out of the infirmary with him. Giving a small laugh even though Rick always acted like he hated there affection she could see the glimmer behind his eye.
Stopping before getting into the passanger side of the car Misty looks over at Carson for a moment thinking. He must be talking about Justin.
"Oh, thats Justin...He's trying to help Scott. He's a councilor but not really. He only takes certain jobs when other options dont work. He seems like a nice guy and if he's trying to help Scott than thats a plus."
Looking up from her desk Angelica gives a smile as Reese enters and sits down. She always liked when he came to see her even if it was just for a little peace and quiet it was still nice to think he found that with her.
"Well I guess that would be simple to answer because you have so many different kinds of people who work here that not everyone is going to mesh well. Not that its a bad thing we just have to learn how to give a little with everyone because they are all so different."
Leaning forward on her desk a little Angelica watchs Reese as he sits in the chair across from her. She could see the stress on his face and she felt bad for him.
"How about we get out of here for an hour and have some lunch? It might do us both some good! What do you say? Than you call tell me all your problems!"

Go
Rick turns to look over his shoulder, one eyebrow quirked at a peculiar angle. "Please... please go," he begs. "Before I throw you two out."
Carson stifles a laugh and kisses the top of Misty's head before pulling her towards the door. "We can't go against doctor's orders."
"You always do when you're injured," Rick mutters.
"What was that?"
"Nothing, nothing. Go on. Get out of here."
Still grinning, Carson aims down the hall with Misty until they've made their way outside and into the parking lot. Pausing before getting into his car though, he looks at her with question. "Who was that guy talking to Sapphire?"
"Oh, sure." Justin nods readily. Looking around, he spies a notepad and pen in Sapphire's cubicle. "Ah. Here." Taking the pad, he makes a quick job of the directions which were really quite simple. "Here you go. When you get there, they'll stop you at the gate and take your name and ask what your business is. Just tell them you're visiting a patient and they'll let you in."
Handing her the paper, he smiles. "I'll see you tomorrow then."
"Knock knock." Reese lets himself into Angelica's office after he hears her voice. Sinking down in an extra chair, he sighs deeply. "This is still the quietest spot in the building," he muses.
Rubbing a hand over his face, he lets out a little groan. "Can I not have just one day where someone is out to kill somebody else? I mean really... is that too much to ask?"

Map
Stairing up at Carson Misty smiles before looking over at Rick for a moment and than back at Carson.
"As long as Rick doesn't need me I have some over time I need to cut so I could. So going to the last sounds great."
Turning and going over to Rick Misty smiles at him sweetly already knowing more than likely he would say its ok with out her looking extra cute.
"Rick do you mind if I extend my lunch a little so Carson and I can go up to the lake? If not thats ok we will just smooch here in the corner."
Sapphire gives a nod to Justen happy she had asked if she wanted to see Scott. If he hadn't she probably wouldn't have gone on her own to nervous.
"Ten o'clock I can do that, with mountain dew in hand."
Giving a nod and starting to turn Sapphire stops before remembering she really didn't know where this place was.
"Just you wouldn't happen to be able to draw me a map would you? I'm not sure where I am going."

No substitute
Carson grins and puts his keys in his pocket, waiting patiently for Misty to finish. He nods to Rick but doesn't interrupt the work he's doing either.
Leaning back against Misty's desk, he waits until she's done. As she comes to give him a kiss, he automatically draws her close, smiling as he kisses her back. "Mm... amazing how much I can miss you in one morning."
Straightening up, he slings an arm over her shoulders. "If you can get away long enough today without getting fired, I say we go up to the lake. I'm so sick of Italian food I gotta have something else."
Justin shakes his head slightly. "Scott and food aren't on speaking terms just yet." He smiles and is quick to follow up with positivity. "But morning would be great. And... if you want to bring something... go for his favorite. I have yet to see him turn down a can of Mountain Dew."
Looking towards the door, he gives Sapphire a little nod. "How about ten o'clock? I'll meet you in the parking lot and we can go to Scott together, alright?"
He cocks his head a little again to see her eyes. "We'll do it together, okay? And I promise... no matter how tough it might get... good will come of tomorrow. There's no substitute for love."

Trying
Looking up from her desk as Carson enters Misty smiles. He was right on time like she new he would be. Today the restront was closed so when it was like that he was rarely later.
"Your on time, and this time I'm not ready. Give me like five seconds here."
Misty gives a little chuckle looking down at her paper work Misty writes a few more things down, before glancing over in a book, some photos and than writing a few more things down again before closing the file.
"Ok, I think I am ready now."
Standing Misty comes around her desk to Carson and wraps her arms around his neck planting a kiss on his lips.
Giving a nod Sapphire shifts a little and things for a moment. Tomorrow that was sooner than she though but she really didn't have much going on.
"I have off tomorrow and am not doing anything till later in the evening so I could meet you there in the morning."
Thinking again for a moment Sapphire cross her one arm over her chest and holds onto her other arm. Looking away for a second and than back to Justin she gives a small smile.
"Should I bring anything? Maybe some breakfast or something?"
She was trying really hard here she wanted to be close with her brother because she did love him, so many if she brought something he would see she cared.

Collision
Dani manages a smile and she nods again. "Six sounds good." She chuckles. "Pick up some ice cream too."
Letting him go and heading for the door, she turns around one more time, just studying him for another moment. "See you later, Dalton."
Exiting his office, shes only walked a few strides before bumping someone's shoulder. "Oh, I'm sorry, I-" Her eyes fall on her brother and she backs up, now even more startled. "Carson, I... I... oh."
Carson's eyebrows rise as he reaches out to steady his sister. "Whoa. What's your hurry?"
"No... no hurry. I just..." She puts a hand to her head as a terrible feeling comes over her. "I have to go. I was just here seeing Dalton."
Carson grins. "Well I assumed that much." He cocks his head. "You alright?"
"Yeah." Dani smiles "Yeah, I'm fine." Her whole brief plan to go see him later vanished. "Still want me early in the morning at the restaurant?"
"If you can make it."
Dani nods. "I'll be there with bells on."
Carson laughs. "Alright. I'll see you then." Watching his sister walk away, he got an odd feeling that something was just... peculiar about her. But shaking it off, he continues his route to the infirmary to pick Misty up for lunch.
Justin nods with confidence. "I think it would be okay. There's still gonna be pain on both your parts - I won't tell you it's gonna be an easy visit. But the ice has got to break sometime and... I think he's ready to see you. Nothing much but... he's been alone quite a bit and I think it would do him some good."
He's quite for another moment, taking this whole thing nice and slow. "Do you want to meet us up there tomorrow, or is that too soon?"
Letting him go and heading for the door, she turns around one more time, just studying him for another moment. "See you later, Dalton."

One of those days
Cocking his head a little and feeling his cheeks turn slightly warm from the kiss Dalton gives another smile to Dani. He could tell something was different today though not sure what he figured it was just one of those days, though it did put a little confusion in him, he let it pass.
"I think I'm starting to be in a better mood alright because you here."
Bringing his hand to the side of her face and gentile running her find along her cheek Dalton thinks for a long moment on her question.
"Well after work I'll stop by the store and see what I can pick up for dinner, so how about six? I don't think that will be to late."
Sapphire gives a short nervous laugh. She was happy Justin didn't think it would do any harm for her to go see him felt good, but Sapphire still had the little bit of doubt.
"Well what if he dosnt want to see me? It'd hurt more having him send me away? He wasn't all that happy with me the last time we talked."
Stopping and thinking again Sapphire did miss Scott very much and she would like to see him again. She'd be nervous but maybe it would do them both some good.
"If you think it would be ok...maybe I would like to come and see him. I'll just get over my nerves."

Confused
"Okay..." Dani nods. If Dalton still felt up to spending time with her after whatever it was had happened, then she wouldn't deny him that time. Since Carson wasn't around anymore, the evenings were quite lonely if she wasn't with Dalton.
Being drawn into his arms though, Dani stiffens for the first time. Her own tension confused her and she forces herself to wrap his arms around him anyway and rest her head on his chest like she always did. "Maybe by the time we part tonight you won't be a bear anymore."
Backing away a little, she stands on her tiptoes to give him a peck on the cheek. But looking up into his eyes after she'd come back down, she just stares into them for the longest moment as if something just wasn't right. "Um, I... I think I'm gonna go stop by and see Carson sometime later... so... what time you want me at your place?"
Justin puts his hands behind his back and cocks his head at Sapphire, sorting through all the things he saw on her face... in her eyes... and what he heard in her voice.
His own voice comes out slow and non-threatening. "How about... you let me take the responsibility for deciding if it would be wise? I wouldn't ask you to come if I thought it would do harm. You yourself are not a visual trigger, so I have strong doubts that seeing you would do anything more than help Scott see that his sister still cares."
He pauses, letting her process what he was saying. "I won't let you do it alone, ya know. I'll be there. But it's entirely up to you."

Big Bear
Hearing the tap on the door Dalton lets out a sigh wondering who it was no coming to bother him. But as the door opens and he sees Dani a small smile forms on his lips. This was one person right now he didn't mind seeing.
"I am happy you did stop by, seeing your face is always nice."
Standing from his desk Dalton comes around to the other side stepping over the bits of the stapler, he'd pick them up in a little bit. Reaching out to Dani he pulls her to him as gently as he always did. Nothing could bother him enough that he would ever hurt Dani.
"As long as your don't mind spending time with a big old bear I'd like to still have dinner with you. I think some cuddle time might do me good."
Hearing her brother was doing ok made Sapphire smile a little more, though she caught the look in Justin's eye that things were going as well as he hoped. Any good news was important though and it was better than reporting bad news. At least now she had a little something of hope to report to her parents.
Coming back around in a full circle on Justin's comment about her going to see Scott she things for a long moment. It would be great but, would it be a good idea?
"Oh Justin it would be wonderful if I could see Scott but...I don't think it would help his recovery at all. I think I should wait till he's better. The last thing I want is for him to see me, and think about Gage and throw him into a fit or something."
Never would Sapphire do anything to harm her brother and the though of many showing up and seeing him but a little damper on things. The last thing she wanted to do was make Scott worse, and seeing her...well that could defiantly do it.

Strange sensation
Justin is a little surprised when Sapphire stops him. He'd figured nobody would want to talk to him today, but maybe he was just feeling sorry for himself. Overcoming his personal feelings, he halts his route to talk with her.
"Hi there." He smiles gently. "Your brother is doing as well as can be expected." Searching Sapphire's eyes, he finds the same sorrow he had the last time he'd been here. He had to give her something positive... he just had to.
"He's responding to me well and we've talked a lot. We're also starting to touch on the Agency data." Talk had been less than productive and they'd barely even tried with the data, but it's all Justin had.
Continuing to look in Sapphire's eyes, he wonders if his next suggestion was even wise. "Would you like to come see him sometime?"
Chance scoffs at Destiny's implication. "You kidding me? A princess is a title earned, not a ticket to be a brat." A grin remains on his face. "Unless of course, you're going to buy enough things that we'll need to call in another officer to help carry everything. In which case, I would gladly watch and see how they do it while I hold doors for them."
Dani fumbles with one hand inside her purse as she tries to drive and find her ringing phone at the same time. It didn't work very well, so by the time she finally retrieved it, she sees she's missed a call from Dalton. Grumbling to herself, she's just about to call him back when the voicemail tone rings. She might as well listen to the message. Hearing his voice, she smiles, but his message made her wonder what had happened.
Stopping at an intersection, she finishes listening to his message. Odd. What was with the stapler? Had it been an accident or on purpose? If it had been on purpose, what had been the cause?
Her thumb hovers over her phone's buttons, but as she glances down the street, another thought comes. She'd been out running errands and had been on her way home. But TJY was right close, and if she turned left here instead of right, she could just go see what was up instead of relying on another phone call. Besides, any excuse to see Dalton was a good one.
Flipping her phone shut, she continues driving until she'd reached TJY. Making her way inside, she passes Sapphire and a man she didn't know, but she nods politely before heading for the hallway. Stopping in front of the office door, she finds it a little strange that it's closed all the way - Dalton usually kept it partway open.
"Dalton?" She taps on the door and opens it a little ways to peek inside. Seeing he was alone, she smiles and lets herself all the way in, leaving the door slightly ajar.
"I was out and about when I got your message a few minutes ago so I decided just to drop by and..." Her voice trails off as her eyes drift to the floor to see bits and pieces of metal, plastic and staples. Her expression shifts and she looks back to Dalton quickly. It had been on purpose, and apparently with quite a bit of force to have broken the stapler that severely.
"Um..." Her thoughts seem to have completely left her and she falters for a moment, not really even sure why, but quite suddenly, she could feel herself suppressing something in her mind that she didn't want to see. It caused a little lurch in her stomach and she clears her throat, trying to shake whatever the strange sensation was.
"If... if you want to have supper back at your place, that's fine with me." She nods. It wasn't about where they went anyway - it was just about spending time together. "Or..." Her eyes drift to the mess again, then back to Dalton, a strange new timidity in her voice that she didn't even realize was there. "If you don't feel like supper at all, that's okay. We can do it later this week."

Helpless
As the door is closed Dalton's refelxs kicking as he takes it out on a stapler that was next to him. Flinging it across the room with his own short yell it hits the wall with a loud tump shattering into many peaces.
Going back to his work Dalton tried to concentrate but it just didn't work. Thinking for a long moment and weighing the options. Picking up the phone he dials Dani's number waiting for her to answer but only getting the voice mail.
"Hey Dani, I was wondering if you'd like to do dinner at my place tonight instead of going out. I know you were looking forward to it but I already busted up a defenseless stapler I'd hate to break anything else. Just let me know and we can figure out something to make. Thanks, talk to you soon."
Destiny lets out a playful gasp as Chance turns down carrying her bags. Giving him a side long glace.
"But...You said so yourself I'm the princess doesn't that mean you do have to carry them?"
She wasn't sure why but it was fun teasing Chance maybe because he teased a little back too, but whatever it was it did help her smile even if she was terrified on the inside of doing anything. She was just good at covering it up and making the best of it.
Looking up from her desk and seeing Justin Sapphire gives a small smile and a wave. Standing and exiting her cubicle she makes her way over to Justin not wanting to make him coming back over to her side when he had just passed.
"Hey Justin."
It was good to see him, and Sapphire was happy to see that he was still hard at work to help her brother and hadn't given up yet.
"It's nice to see you again. Hows my brother doing?"

Overheard
Reese's eyes narrow at Dalton, his own nerves growing on edge. Just watching him go back to his work, Reese stands in the doorway for several moments, fingering the nameplate. "You know, Dalton... I guess maybe I expected you to be more willing to work with someone who is actually trying to help your friend. But if you want to make Justin's job harder, then I guess there's not much I can do about it. I'll keep him away from you from now on. But heaven forbid he need any information from you that could help Scott and can't get it because you're unwilling to work with him."
Spinning on his heel, Reese exits the office, closing the door behind him, forcing himself not to slam it. He knew Dalton was upset, but he felt like he was having to fight his own man on this and he didn't like it.
Walking only a couple feet, he has to come to a dead halt to keep himself from running into Justin. He'd thought the younger man had waited in his office. Looking him in the eye, he can tell by the disappointed look on his face that he'd heard. "I'm sorry-"
"Don't be." Justin shakes his head. "It's not me he's mad at."
Reese holds out the nameplate. "It's not?"
"Nah. He's just upset about his friend and I'm an easy target. From some of the things he's said, I bet he's had some bad experiences with counselors too, so that's another strike against me. I'll stay out of his way from now on though - I don't want to stir up any more trouble."
"You haven't." Reese sighs deeply. "We're all on edge lately. Just... a lot going on." He starts walking again, Justin at his side.
"Well, if I can get somewhere with Scott, maybe that will be one less thing on everybody's minds."
Reese stops before they get to the main floor and he turns to Justin with seriousness. "Do you really think you can?"
"Only if Scott wants me to. And right now... he just isn't trying hard enough. But I think he will. It's just gonna take time."
"But we don't have time with him because of the Agency influence."
"Then we better pray that something will help him turn himself around before it's too late." Jason nods and holds up the nameplate. "Thank you. I'll continue to be in touch."
"Yeah..." Reese watches him walk away before sigh deeply. He wanted to go home. But the day was only half over.
Justin heads across the main floor, his eyes scanning the cubicles. Walking past Sapphire's area, he catches her eye and gives her a little nod and the best small smile he could. Unless she beckoned him, he would not stop. He had invaded enough today... done enough damage. This was a hard group... and maybe he had misjudged them. Maybe it was time he came here on invitation only and found other ways to deal with Scott. Even if Justin understood and didn't take Dalton's words too personally, they did leave him questioning himself. He'd get over it, but for the moment, this whole thing had just become very frustrating.
Chance laughs as he buckles up. "If you can handle linking arms with great Chance O'Mally, feel free. But if you're going into any clothing stores, I beg of you... let me guard the entrance."
Slipping on a pair of sunglasses, he grins. Destiny seemed to be doing pretty well today... almost seeming to enjoy herself. There was a lot of serious things happening... her safety... arrangements for her parents' burials... yet there was still some sunshine there and that was a good sign.
"And no... I'm not carrying your bags for you," he teases.

Keep him out
Dalton stays sitting looking across the desk at Reese his own face firm. He has his own emotions running around right now that he didn't even know how to deal with them.
"I wont bother seeing you later and so far the only person I see who had a problem with the name on the door was that guy that's helping Scott."
It was clear Dalton didn't like Justin without saying it even if he really wanted to. Still keeping his own tone calm he continues to look at Reese.
"And on that mention you can tell Justen to stay out of my office before I get irritated with him and something happens. I have no questions he can ask me that need to be answered, and I don't need him giving me peptalks. Other than that I have nothing more to say."
Going back to his work Dalton calms up a little bit sinking in his seat a little and looking at his computer screen intently.
Destiny gives a nod as she takes the keys and makes her way out the door. Stopping at the steps as Chance locks the door behind her. Waiting for him to come up next to her she waits for him knowing not to go father.
"You know...in a way I feel like I'm the dog waiting for my master."
Destiny gives a chuckle showing she was joking. Getting to the car she gets in waiting for Chance.
"Alright...here we go. Stay close to you, I think I can do that. Hope you dont mind if I link arms with you when we get there."
Destiny's eyes twinkle as she pulls out of the driveway and she heads down the street to there destination.

Creative suggestions
"Alright. The mall it is." Chance tosses Destiny the keys. "Just remember to stick close while we're there... a heavily populated area can be the best place for someone to be picked off unnoticed."
Opening the front door, he takes a glance around before letting Destiny out and then locking the door behind them. "Wherever else you need to go is fine. I just need to go to TJY sometime before the end of the day."
Reese was not surprised to see the anger flash in Dalton's eyes, nor was he surprised at the verbal response. It hadn't taken long for the two tech guys to become friends and Dalton would always be a vicious protector of Scott.
"I appreciate your intentions, Dalton." Reese reaches up and removes the nameplate. "But having a name on a door does not portray importance any more than it does saying he'll be back." He keeps his town quiet but firm. "Yes, Scott put in years here and he saw us through many hard times with his efforts and his work. He's lost more than a lot of people here just because he was dedicated to his job."
Never would Reese face a day he didn't blame himself for all that had happened to Scott. "But he has resigned this force. He is no longer an Elite agent. Keeping his name on the door will only be a sorry reminder to the other agents who pass, and salt on their wounds. I'm sorry... but it's time his name was removed. And I must ask that you respect my orders." His tone was still very calm, but it was obvious that he meant business. "If you'd like to take up this matter further, I will be working late and you are free to see me after hours. I've already considered ways in which we might honor Scott as a former officer and I'm open to creative suggestions."

Another
Turning from Justin as he leaves Dalton goes back to his work to continue what he was doing. Weather he would see Justin again or not he didn't know but he really didn't care ether. He didn't like the guy and he wasn't sure if it was because he was a councilor or make it was just him in general.
Getting back to work Dalton looks up again seeing Reese. Giving a nod and a slight wave to him Dalton watches him for a moment.
"I'm alright."
Hearing he was here to take Scott's name plate from the door Dalton gets a little stiff. He new this had to be Justin's doing and a little more anger twords the man grows. Keeping his voice calms he looks at Reese.
"You can take it down Reese but I will put another one up. Even if Scott dosnt work here anymore, this is not just my office. He put as much heart into this as I have, and for that his name should stay. Its not a statement for me to think he is coming back, its saying he is just important in this place as I am."
Giving a smile to Chance and turning around to make it a little easier for him to clip the necklace Destiny breaths a little slowly so she doesn't move around to much for Chance. Giving a soft chuckle at Chance's comment Destiny turns around to look at him again smile.
"I'll make sure not to fly unless you come with me. Thank you."
Taking a few steps back Destiny can't stop smile as she looks back at Chance.
"I sure do want to drive still. I love driving. Figured we could head to the mall for a little bit before I go to set up a few things for my parents funeral. Than if we need to go to TJY we can."

Right thing
Chance turns around and it takes him an odd moment to respond to Destiny before he blinks. "Uh... yeah... yeah, sure."
Setting the keys down, he walks over to Destiny and takes the necklace, twirling a finger for her to turn around. Reaching around her, he lightly moves aside her hair so as not to get it caught in the clasp. He grins. "Just don't let this sucker fly away with you... I'd be in a lot of trouble."
His hand brushes her neck before he takes her shoulders to turn her back around. "There you are. Pretty as a picture." He chuckles, just a little color coming to his face. "Still wanna drive?"
Receiving no for an answer, Justin opens his mouth to say more, but then changes his mind. He holds up his hands just a little in surrender. Realizing there was another nameplate, his eyebrows rise slightly. He hadn't noticed there were two.
He was surprised when Dalton at least offer him that one, and he goes ahead and takes it. "Thank you... Dalton." A sarcastic remark wanted to come so badly, but he holds his tongue. "I'm sure I'll see you again."
Backing away, he fiddles with the nameplate in his hand before heading down the hall once more. But he wasn't ready to leave quite yet.
Ten minutes later, it's Reese at Dalton's office, knocking then entering. "Dalton... hi. I hope your day is going well." Wandering in only a short ways, he turns and looks at the door. "I've been asked to take this nameplate of Scott's off the door, and... I believe it's the right thing to do."

Looking up at the knock on the door Dalton eyes Justin. He'd said next time he stopped by he would call, and he never got a call so now Dalton was a little less happy to see him once again. Giving a nod though he was at least polite to him. Thinking about his question for a moment though Dalton shook his head.
"No, you may not take the name plate from the door."
Falling silent again Dalton lets out a long sigh. Looking around the room for a moment he gives a nod to the desk next to him.
"You can take the one from the desk though as long as you bring it back."
Looking down at his work again for a few moments Dalton clicks a few buttons to finish up the one thing he has been working on and finally figured up. Finished and looking up at Justin again Dalton cocks his head before standing.
Moving around his desk and over to Scott's Dalton picks up the name plate running his finger over it for a moment. Turning to Justin he holds it out to him.
Heading into TJY Hope was feeling ok today. She could feel better and she could feel worse. In about two hours she had a dr appointment to get some more tests done she might as well work a little before than to keep her mind off it all.
Walking across the floor she gives the best smile she can to the people she had called friends. Going to the breakroom first she wanted to get some water before heading to the interrogation room and start some work.
"Princess...? I think I'm far from a princess."
Exiting the bathroom Destiny's hair is wet still hanging down and over her shoulders. A light blue sun dress was her attire along with a pare of platform sandles. Coming into the living room she holds her necklace out to Chance.
"Can you clip this for me? I'll be ready to go after."
"No, you may not take the name plate from the door."

Nameplate
"Doesn't bother me to have you drive." Chance shrugs. Grinning as she walks into the kitchen, he hollers after her. "You're prolly right. If there's one thing I wouldn't be able to keep up with, it would be a woman's indecision and change of mind."
Doing a bit more work Chance eventually shuts his laptop and starts to get ready to go, putting on his boots and tucks in his black t-shirt. Opening up his gun case, he dons one of his holsters, checking his handgun before securing it on his left side. Fishing for his Elite badge, he pulls it out and grabs the chain to wear around his neck. If he was gonna be walking around with an unconcealed weapon, it might save some headaches to show his badge loud and clear. Lifting up his pantleg, he fixes his small sheath around his ankle and tucks away his knife out of sight. On the other ankle goes his derringer. That should be sufficient for today. Wallet. Cell phone. He was ready to head out. It was warm enough today that a jacket wouldn't be needed.
Wandering towards the door, he checks out the windows before jingling the keys. "Alright, Princess," he calls. "Ready when you are."
"A matching game... genius." Rick shakes his head as he hears about Justin's idea for Scott.
Justin shrugs and leans against the infirmary counter. "Yeah, well... I figured it's gotta be on his own terms. And the only way to do that without being here, is for him to do the unveiling of those faces himself. Alec figured Scott should know most if not all of them."
"But he hasn't wanted to try it yet."
"Uh-uh." Justin shakes his head. "Do we know how much time we really have with him?"
"No." Rick sighs. "Alec says it all depends on Scott. But what we do know is the longer it takes, the less chance Scott has of gaining control. Alec thinks probably one more episode and we might lose him."
"And any trigger could cause an attack." Justin purses his lips grimly. He didn't like the risks involved here, but there really was no other way. Scott would either conquer or lose everything. But it all depended on him and whether he would try to overcome this. Justin could only pray that Scott would choose to turn over those cards and begin the road to recovery. "Well... I just wanted to see if there was anything I'd missed. Thank you, Rick."
"No... thank you."
"Alec here today?"
Rick rolls his eyes. "He was. He's been slipping out under our radar lately though, so good luck finding him."
Justin chuckles. "Alright. Thanks." He wanders from the infirmary, a bit tired from the day, but at least he was in better shape than the last time he was here. Walking past an open office, he looks up at the door, seeing Dalton's name again, but noticing that Scott's name was still there as well. As far as Justin knew, Scott had resigned before being admitted to Brookshire. Whose hopeful thinking kept the name on the door?
Tapping lightly, he looks in on the giant behind the desk. "Dalton?" He offers a smile, though was cautious, remembering his last visit and how Dalton hadn't been very receptive. "Hi. Don't wanna take up your time here, but, I was wondering...." He thumbs to the door. "Can I borrow Scott's nameplate?"
