Though having no idea who Sham was or why she were gone, Hunter holds his smile. He knew Mick and Rosetta had adopted the boy - perhaps this other person was someone before them.
Given the offer to see the truck, Hunter nods. "Of course - how could I not want to check out a beauty like this, eh?"
Leaning a little closer to BJ he reaches out to finger the truck, rolling it a little and giving it a good once-over. "Mmm... I can see why this is your favorite. I used to have a truck kinda like this one. 'Cept mine was green. I used to play with it all the time."
Studying BJ's toy, Hunter's mind wanders back to a time when his father had told him that bringing that truck along on their vacation was a foolish little boy's thing to do. So he'd left it home and learned to do without. He'd been six. And he still remembered.
Rolling the truck back nearer to BJ, Hunter returns it. He knew Katie would be coming soon and so would supper. And he doubted Mick would allow the truck to remain on the table. "Pretty cool, man."
Reese was relieved that Katie agreed to Monday. He really didn't want to try to find other help. It wasn't that he had a problem with setting boundaries... it was just that several agents were kind of like his kids and he cared for them outside of work.
"Great. I'll be sure we've got stuff ready for you on Monday then."
Her thanks brings a small smile to his lips. "You're welcome. I'm glad your time away has been good. Anxious to see you though."
Seeing a button on his phone blinking, he sighs. "Got another call, Katie. I'll see you soon." Hanging up, he picks up the other line.
