Your Song

Standing stunned at Susanne hands up on him Chuck pulls the phone away from his ear and just looks at his. Susanne's voice had been very monotone almost like she was reading what had been said to him not to mention its just seemed odd. They had, had a great time the last time they were together and Susanne did pretty much know everything about him. He had layed almost everything about his life to her other than his own childhood.

Just sitting there a long moment Chuck still turns to understand and wrap his head around everything. It was such a strange change from the last time he talked to her. Though she had said not to call him anymore she didn't say not to see him, and if she really did want nothing to do with him, than she should say it to his face he had to know for sure she meant it. Not to mention at least his the CD he made for her.

It didn't take long for Chuck to get TJY. He new it was late and most everyone was gone. Susanne and who knows who else would be there but Chuck didn't much care. Heading down the same way he had before. Getting to the main floor where all the cubicles where Chuck stops for a moment getting a glance into Susanne's office where she was working. She did look busy but he had to know, he had to show Susanne, and than see her eyes when she told him to go away.

Spotting a cd player at on of the desks Chuck looks at it for a moment and than back at Susanne for a moment. Going over to it he takes the cd from his pocket and puts it into the playing. Knowing what song he was looking for Chuck skips the first few before letting the next song play. The soft melody comes form the player he turns it up and clears his throat. The words coming from the player were his own as a soft piano played. Knowing Chuck one could tell it was him playing it, and his voice. His own now matching it as he sung loud and clear.

It's a little bit funny this feeling inside
I'm not one of those who can easily hide
I don't have much money but boy if I did
I'd buy a big house where we both could live

If I was a sculptor, but then again, no
Or a man who makes potions in a travelling show
I know it's not much but it's the best I can do
My gift is my song and this one's for you

And you can tell everybody this is your song
It may be quite simple but now that it's done
I hope you don't mind
I hope you don't mind that I put down in words
How wonderful life is while you're in the world

Chuck didn't know if Susanne would come out to see the noise or not, but he hoped she was at least listing to the music. It how she made him feel though and he just couldn't help it.

I sat on the roof and kicked off the moss
Well a few of the verses well they've got me quite cross
But the sun's been quite kind while I wrote this song
It's for people like you that keep it turned on

So excuse me forgetting but these things I do
You see I've forgotten if they're green or they're blue
Anyway the thing is what I really mean
Yours are the sweetest eyes I've ever seen

And you can tell everybody this is your song
It may be quite simple but now that it's done
I hope you don't mind
I hope you don't mind that I put down in words
How wonderful life is while you're in the world
