Stop Time

Giving a grin Ryan new good and well that that smirk on his face was. After her question had been out she realized how it must sound.

As Alec press his lips against her Ryan returns the kiss with passion like so many times before. And each time it felt so different like they were kissing again for the first time. Just looking back into Alec's eyes as he pulls away the grin was still on Ryan's face.

"To make out with me some more...or...your going to ask me to let you go!"

Ryan looks back into Alec's eyes searching, waiting to see what he would say. What would be his real reason for asking her to stop here. Ryan could feel her heart thump in her chest as she waited, waited for his answer.

Cassy gives a smile at Leo as she takes his hand and stands up wincing just a little as the pain shoot through her leg. Once up though she was ok and slowly ambled behind Leo.

"You don't need to pitch in. Your helping me out and its the least I can do since I'm not paying you."

Continuing to walk with Leo Cassy tucks her hands in her jean pockets as they get to the door. She was going to clean things up a bit here and than she would be leaving herself so she didn't want to tell Leo to come to early.

"How does nine sound to you? Not to early, not to late!"

Continuing the kiss Dalton enjoyed it so much, he enjoyed Dani's sweet tast, and just having her arms around him. He had someone right here he could take care of, and love...it was an amazing feeling.

Drawing away from Dani again Dalton smiles brushing another peace of hair from her face. Looking down at her and searching her eyes for a long moment before a silly glint formed in his eye.

"Now that you sucked all the life out of me...think we can have some of those cookies?"

Dalton gives a laugh as he shifts on the couch and stands offering his hand out to Dani to help her up. She was so beautiful sitting there, if time could stop he would of willed it just to live in this moment forever.

What time

Alec looks straight out the windshield the corners of his mouth twitching at Ryan's question. Turning his head, he quirks one eyebrow, giving her a knowing look. Leaning in closer, he slips his hand behind her head, tilting to kiss her lips in a sweet, passionate kiss before pulling away.

"Why do you think?" he whispers coyly.

Leo laughs and shakes his head. "I don't know. It should involve food though, of that I'm sure."

Yawning, he stretches out long on the floor. "Mmm... I better get going so I can get to bed so I can get up bright and early to get here in the morning."

Another yawn and he rolls over to stand up, offering Cassy a hand up as well. "I'm not picky about lunch so whatever you want - just let me know so I can pitch in. Something we could eat back here would be good since we don't know how long the painting will take."

Wandering a ways away, he picks up his jacket and puts it on, glancing back at Cassy. "What time you want me here in the morning?"

Scott was too tired to argue. He didn't want Hope to stay, but he could tell by the tone of her voice that she was determined, and he didn't have the energy to fight. Not tonight.

Still weary and feeling sick from this little episode, he reaches down to pull the blanket up over them, returning his hand to Hope's. So much for a quiet evening. Oh, well. Tomorrow was a new day. Tomorrow things could return to normal.

Dani hadn't ever felt this way before. Being here with Dalton sent her heart racing, yet she felt calm and comfortable at the same time. Having him continue to kiss her, she let him, just letting her hands wander around his head and neck to his back and up again, discovering what he liked.

His big hand on her face was so warm. He had a feeling of security about him... one that would make Dani never question if she were safe or not. He wasn't just Hulk... he was her Hulk.

Anywhere

Listing to Alec he did have a point, Reese still needed him to much to do anything that might make him stop talking. Though there was that feeling still in her stomach that fluttered at the though he came to see her.

It was an interesting thought wondering who rated on Alec so far, but it could of been as simple Hal saw him missing, Reese new he'd go to Ryan, he did a check and found out she raced and here we are. But it happened so fast. Ryan did her best not to dwell on it though, it really didn't matter.

Hearing Alec say he wanted her to pull in the lot she wondered why but pulled in anyways. It was abandoned, with a few things she could park her car around so it couldn't been seen. Cutting the engien Ryan turns a little to look at Alec.

"So...why did we stop in the abandon parking lot?"

Still on her stomach Cassy was a little surprised Leo wanted to come back so soon. For sure she though at least he'd want a day or to to relax. But seeing he meant like he really did want to come back she gave a smile.

"Tomorrow, I think I can handle that. Its going to probably take all day but will be so much quicker with someone helping me."

Giving another smile looking away from Leo Cassy just looks at the floor for a long moment. Another laugh escapes her lips looking to Leo again her eyes twinkling slightly.

"So, what should we do for lunch tomorrow since you will be helping me again?!"

Hope continues to hold Scott hearing his comment she doesn't reply right away. She new he might fight that he didn't want her to stay but she wanted to. Just to hold Scott and give him the comfort he needed.

"I'm no going anywhere Scott. My place is right here."

Laying her head down on the pillow next to his Hope was far from tired, so she new she wouldn't fall asleep. Rubbing Scott's arm with her hand she hums softly. This was the least she could do.

Dani's touch was so light running over Dalton's skin it sent chills from head to toe. Letting her soft fingers run over his scars, letting her hands find his pain had for so long, and it was like a soothing close. Knowing she had felt them and she didn't pull her hand away.

Hearing her words even there was a bit of hesitation it still felt good to hear. The new rush of emotions seemed to wash through him like something he never felt. It was warm and tingly.

Being pulled back to the kiss again Dalton's eyes fall shut. His hand cradled Dani's face as the kiss continued. Neather one breaking the moment to wrapped up in it all to even care the movie was being missed, or anything else. This was there night, together.

Tomorrow

Dalton's words send a chill down Dani's spine and she stares into his eyes, truly surprised. He... he loved her? Love? She doesn't have time to respond before he's kissing her again and she doesn't resist. Love... was that the feeling she had for him? Was that why she missed him when they were apart and why she always wanted to be around him? Was she really... falling in love with him?

Resuming the passionate exchange, Dani's hand slips under his collar again, feeling his warm skin. She ran her fingers softly to his chest, then his shoulder, feeling scars she'd never seen. Her palm is so smooth it glides over his skin, moving from his shoulder to the back of his neck again. She could totally get lost in this moment and never want to be revived. Love?

Drawing back just a little to catch her breath, she brings her hand up to run down his face. There were people who would find him downright unattractive. He was big and not anything like what Dani would have pictured herself with before. But the more she saw his heart, the more she loved his face. The more she saw his tenderness... care... Christianity... devotion... the more she cared. From the outside, he could be labeled at first glance as a big oaf. But to Dani... knowing what was on the inside... he couldn't be more handsome.

Tracing his cheekbone, she moves her fingertip down to his lips, running over them lightly. "I... I think I love you too," she whispers.

Starting to smile again, she returns to wrapping both arms around him tightly, going back for his kiss.

Leo can feel just a bit of heat coming to his cheeks at Cassy's comment, and for a long moment, he doesn't respond at all, leaving a strange silence as he remains on his back. Finally he does speak though. "Oh, I don't know. Maybe I woulda gone out for a drink that night anyway, or maybe our paths would have crossed some other way."

His eyes give her a sidelong glance. "I don't think I'm all that, but it's nice to be appreciated for once." Taking the piece of paper, he folds it and tucks it into his jeans pocket before returning his hand to the back of his head. "I don't work tomorrow," he offers. "Short notice, but if you're up to it, I got all day to kill."

Scott closes his eyes as another single tear escapes. Curling up tighter, feeling Hope behind him did bring some comfort. And she trusted him. Even in his horrid state where he thought he couldn't control anything, she still trusted him. It made him feel even more rotten for being so weak.

Even in the fog though, part of his mind remained lucid and knew his surroundings and the time. His grip on her hand tightens. "It's late," he manages hoarsely. "You... you need to go."

Alec enjoys the fast right with Ryan, knowing that she was a very skilled driver. He was good, but he didn't have racing experience like she did. Once in town and hearing her question, he looks over to her and shrugs a little. "Oh... I don't know. I don't like being locked up, especially when I'm holding up my end of the deal. I figured if I wanted to go somewhere, I was gonna go."

A wry grin emerges. "Easier to ask forgiveness than permission. Reese wants me too badly now to enforce too harsh a punishment. I've got a bargaining chip now. As long as he thinks I still have information to share, he won't lower the boom. Now coming to get me tonight..." he shrugs again. "Jason got there awfully fast and I'd like to know how, but I don't really care. If Reese wants to waste time with babysitters, it's his loss, not mine."

Seeing an empty lot ahead, he points to it. "Pull over here."

Those words

Giving a smile yet again as she pulled him closer Dalton's eyes close and it just lets the emotions float on. Her sweet kiss on his lips, and her soft hands as they ran though his hair, the noise forming in his throat again. Being so close to Dani it felt so nice, and he had full confidence in himself that no matter how long this moment lasted I would go no farther. He cared a great deal for Dani and could feel himself falling for her. To do anything more, and rune this wonderful feeling he had would be horrible.

As he is pulled in closer to Dani once again Dalton wraps his one arm under her to keep her close to him as well, while his other moves along her cheek, forehead and runs through her hair. This moment, this bliss it was amazing.

Pulling away only just a little Dalton's voice was horse still finding it hard to make the breath Dani had taken from him. Looking down at her, her eyes shimmered, and they sparked with life, giving him the courage to talk.

"I love you Dani."

Coming back in again Dalton's lips meet her letting the moment go on again his emotions, his kiss matching the words he had just said. Once so long ago, the giant had not thought love was for him. But now along the way Dani had changed that and softened his heart.

Still holding Scott Hope runs a hand over his arm. He was so scared, and all Hope could do was hold him letting her comfort wash over to him hoping it would bring a little releaf.

"I'm not scared Scott. I know you wont hurt me."

Moving just a little so she leaned over him Hope gave Scott a kiss to the cheek. Shifting again to lower herself next to Scott she keeps her head close to his.

"...you have control, and you know who I am. I know you wont let yourself hurt me. Scott...I am not scared of you."

Again

Having Dalton move her around on the couch, Dani had one small instance of nervousness. But as Dalton looked down at her and she gazed into his eyes, she knew she could trust him. There was nothing to fear. He was so gentle... so tender... he would never hurt her and of that, she was confident.

Smiling up at him, she brings her arms back around him, pulling him down a little closer, not minding the weight. His kiss to her nose makes her giggle and she closes her eyes, finding his lips with hers again.

One hand slips behind his head to feel his soft hair again, playing with it with her fingers as they kissed. Her other palm ran slowly down his back and up again, enjoying feeling him so close. Her foot moves to rub his leg, too short to find his own feet with hers.

Somewhere in the background she heard the movie still droning, but she couldn't care less. Breaking the kiss for just a moment, her eyes find Dalton's again. "I never thought I could fall for a Hulk," she whispers. "But you keep proving me wrong."

Closing the gap once more, she returns to the kiss.

Scott numbly follows Hope into his bedroom and onto the bed. Curling up in a tight ball, he feels Hope behind him and her arm wrapped around him like a warm blanket of comfort. His hand slides up to find hers, his fingers locking with her own.

"When it happens again," he whimpers, "I don't want to hurt you."

I...uh....um...errr....

Giving a laugh and a big smile that Leo would come back and help Cassy was excited. Shifting a little she pulls some paper from her pocket and a pen. Turning to lay next to Leo on her stomach Cassy jots down her number, before handing it to him.

"Not sure what your hours look like so when you have time, give me a call and we can work something out. Maybe we can order Chinese or subs that day."

Still laying on her stomach Cassy looks at the dirty floor for a moment before looking back to Leo for a long moment. She hadn't said anything all night, and now she did want to.

"I just wanted you to know I think Miss whats her name is stupid. She lost a real winner. I'm kind of happy thought. If she hadn't I wouldn't have seen you in that bar, and you wouldn't be here now. I'd say I sure did luck out."

Just continuing to hold Scott for a long time Hope rocks him gently. Her hand on his head holding it to her she ran her fingers through his hair.

"I know, I know...shhhh...its ok. Come on, lets get up somewhere more comfortable."

Gently prompting Scott up Hope guilds him slowly around everything her arms still tightly around him letting him know she was there and it was ok.

Finally making it to his bedroom Hope takes him over to the bed gently having him lay down. Shifting just a little bit Hope crawls behind Scott and puts her arm over him still holding him tightly.

"Your safe now Scott, your at home. Domino and I are with you and we wont let anything happen."

Finally making it clear of all the people Ryan puts the gas to it, the car already being warmed up from her race it took off like lighting down the dessert sand. Once again on the road it purred like a kitten.

Hearing Alec's comment a small grin formed on her face. In a way this had been her fault, she'd invited him to come and see her.

"Nah, I'm just trying to keep you from getting in to much trouble with the big cahona back there. You said you wanted to ride with me too, I'm not racing but we are going fast."

Continuing to drive Ryan doesn't slow down till they get a little ways into town. Going slow enough to not be charged with speeding but still going a little over the limit. Quiet for a long moment Ryan finally turned to glance at Alec again.

"What about you? Are you trying to make it so they never let you out to see me again? How come you came Alec without Reese saying it was ok? Did you really want to see me that bad?"

Hearing Dani's soft murmer that she was enjoying herself made Dalton feel good. This is the first time he'd been so intimate with her, let alone anyone so it was good to know he was doing it the right way.

Feeling Dani's hands go under his shirt and onto his skin, he gives a small shutter as a growl of his own forms in his throat showing he approved. He liked the way her soft light touch felt on his own warm skin. Pulling her a little closer with his other arm he deeps the kiss.

Pulling away Dalton turns his head the other way coming back for another kiss. Gently shifting this time on the couch he moves so Dani was now on the couch and he leaned into her gently putting her back down again the cushions and he was leaning over her.

Not going back in right away for another kiss his eyes search hers for a moment asking for permission that this was ok. He didn't want to cross any lines or scare her. Giving the tip of her nose a kiss he braces himself one arm on each side of her holding himself up so most of he weight wasn't on top of her. His eyes never leaving her, moving his one hand to run down the side of her face and than back up again as he brushed a stand of hair from her eyes.

Heartbeat

Leo laughs at the thought of the pink pillow. "Mmm... I could do pink, but the princess part... I'm strange, but not that strange. I better decline."

Laughing again, he shifts his head a little to look at Cassy without getting up. "Oh, don't thank me... I needed something different to do anyway."

Hearing about the paint, he lifts his eyebrows. Was she asking him to come back again? Looking back at the ceiling, he grins and puts his hands up and back behind his head. "I have to admit that I'm not half bad when it comes to painting. I guess I could come back and help some more."

Dani falls into the moment with Dalton, enjoying every bit, even his soft words. No one would believe her if she told them how tender he could be, but she knew and she loved it.

Feeling his hand move through her hair, she murmurs her enjoyment. Her own hands move up to his head, her fingers moving through his hair, above his ears and down again. Continuing the kiss, she doesn't worry about time or surroundings, just letting herself enjoy this time.

Her one palm slowly moves down the side of his face to his neck, slipping just inside the open collar of his shirt to rest against his chest. She could feel his heart beating rapidly and it seemed to make her own heart beat even faster.

Buddy buddy with Carson... yeah... that's me alright.

Jason rolls his eyes as he moves through the crowd, scanning for Alec.

Bonding with a Banks is the last thing on my mind.

Feeling the tug on his humor, it brings it to the surface, forcing a slight grin to his face.

Stop that - I'm supposed to be the big bad guy here. I can't do that if I'm laughing.

In truth, he didn't mind though, and gives Katie an extra bit of humor, knowing that she was smiling too.

Receiving Ryan's orders, Alec's eyebrows rise. She wanted to hide him? Take him back herself? He hesitates just a moment before deciding he'd rather ride with her than Jason. Spinning around, he goes straight for her car, slipping into the passenger side.

Eli catches his sister's eye as she tells him to leave, and gives a slight shake of his head. "I'm not the one in trouble." Backing off, his arms stay folded, letting her go, but not joining in. Not this time.

Seeing them drive away, his eyes show disapproval before he ambles in the direction of his bike. Once there though, Jason's already spotted him.

Alec gives Ryan a sidelong glance as they head away from the crowd. "You wanna get yourself in the slammer too or what?"

Scott allows Hope to hold him, too worn out to fight it this time. Sinking into her arms, he just rests his head against her, still quaking from the whole experience. "Every night," he whispers shakily. "Every night."

A tear escapes his eye to roll down his cheek though he wills the rest to be held at bay. Sitting in a heap on the bathroom floor... he couldn't feel much weaker than he did right now.

Princess

"Hey Hey...don't say sorry Scott its ok."

As Scott stands Hope trys to help but it did no good as he quickly made his way to the bathroom. Hearing his lose his dinner Hope's heart went out to him. She felt so bad.

Feeling Domino lick her hand Hope rubs the small dogs ears looking down at her and letting out a sigh. Knowing the little dog was just as scared not knowing what was going on.

"Come on lets go comfort Scott too ok!"

Standing Hope makes her way to the bathroom seeing Scott with his head in his hands Scott crawls next to him leaning against the wall and wrapping her arm over his shoulders pulling him twords her.

"It's ok Scott, its not your fault, your ok now. Shhh..."

Hope runs her fingers through Scott's hair just trying to offer him the comfort she could as her soft words tried to lull him as she just held him close.

"He's right you know. If I'm in a race no one drives with me. Throws me off if they do, and this is for money and a reputation thats not something I mess around with. But maybe sometime we will have to go for a joy ride again like the first time I met you."

Ryan gives a grin remember when he had first met Alec and how shaky he had been afterward. Though he had been drunk that could of played a part but Ryan still found it humerus.

Ryan is about to say something more when her own attachen was diverted. Seeing Jason she quirked an eyebrow. Her question was already answered though as Alec explained. He'd risked being caught to come and see her tonight?

"Get in my car Alec before they see you!"

Not missing a beat Ryan drops her arm from around Alec. Her words were serous though her eyes seemed to spark with fire. Looking in her brothers direction she gives him a small nod. She new what she was doing.

"Eli, I want you to get out of here. I'll be home shortly, I have to get Alec back and save him at least some trouble. I am the one who invited him after all."

Turning from her brother Ryan slips into her car waiting for Alec to get in on the other side. Starting he engine she slowly makes her way through the people away from Jason. Once she was clear of everyone she could gun it back to TJY.

Maybe Reese thinks you can bone with Alec since your buddy buddy with Carson.

Katie gives a small laugh of emotion pulling on Jason's humor. She new he was upset and if making a joke on it helped him as all to calm than it was worth it.

Don't worry, I am not going anywhere. We can finish out date when you are done.

Receiving Dani's small kiss as she pulled him twords her Dalton's lips form a grin. He loved getting kiss from Dani, so soft, so sweet. Looking into her eyes as she stared back into his Dalton wondered about the little spark he saw. Than again a bit surprised once Dani moves to be facing him. Not minding at all though his arms went around her wast to hold her in place and make sure she didn't slide off.

Letting the passion of the next kiss wash over him Dalton was a bit shocked once again not having expected this from Dani at all But after a few moments his own eyes fall shut, and his arms seam to relax.

Returning the kiss back Dalton's heart beat so rapped he through for sure it would explode right out of his chest and even with his eyes closed it felt like the room was moving. Pulling away slightly Dalton opens his eyes. Bringing one of his large hands to the side of his face, who would of guessed the Hulk's touch could be so soft. Cradling her face he runs his thumb along her cheek bone with ease. His voice coming out as a whisper.

"I'd be stupid to want to get rid of you."

Turning his head the other way Dalton comes in for another kiss, his finds finding there way to the back of Dani's head as he light rakes them through her hair. His other hand still around her wast holding her close to him. Letting the passion, the moment linger on being totally lost in the moment and not caring about the movie anymore.

Hearing that Leo didnt have such a great day and what happy Cassy's look was one of how sorry she was things had turned out like that. She did feel bad for him, and everything he had to go through with this. But now she would turn her attachen back to there work.

Hours later, laughing, singing, hard work and food later they were finally finished. Flopping down next to Leo Cassy's leg throbbed but it had felt good to have worked on this. Leaning back propped on her arms her eyes scan the mirrors. It really had turned out better than she expected.

Hearing Leo's comment Cassy laughs turning her head to see him as well her eyes meet his and there was a sudden feeling of pride to have had Leo there, with her, helping.

"You know, I just so happen to have a pillow, but its pink and says princess on it."

Giving another laugh the smile of her face grew. After the week of feeling down it defiantly felt nice to be smiling and laughing again.

"I couldn't have done it without your help. Thank you so much again this really means a lot to me. So...when are we starting the paint job?"

Cassy's last question had a humor laced to it, but something else behind it hoped maybe he would really help her again, because she wanted him to be here.

3/12/10

Job well done

Scott is so disoriented that when he feels Hope's touch, he jerks his hand away. His knuckles whack the corner of the entertainment center with a loud crack and he tries wildly to focus his one eye in the dark. He doesn't even recognize who Hope is.

Like a fog lifting though, he suddenly realizes who it is sitting in front of him, and whose voice he is hearing. "Hope?"

His voice shakes along with the rest of his body as he trembles. "There was no way out... and she died and I couldn't... it was too late..." He blinks and tries to slow down, as the dark outlines of his living room start to make more sense. A dream... it was just a dream. His hand starts to hurt now from hitting it so hard and he wonders how he'd wound up in this part of the room.

"I'm... I'm sorry, I..." He would have stayed right where he was, had the trauma not affected him so. Fumbling to stand up, his knees wobble, and he stumbles forward and down the short hallway to the bathroom. What little supper he'd had was lost as he throws up, still shaking from the experience of the vivid nightmare.

Sinking down on the floor, he leans back against the bathtub and hides his face in his hands, embarrassed, scared and angry.

Domino is still out in the living room, trembling a little bit. She'd tried before to comfort her master but had never succeeded, so now she just looks up at Hope. Giving a little whine she licks Hope's hand and nuzzles her fingers, looking for some comfort of her own.

Alec and Eli are waiting for Ryan as she comes looking for them, both grinning. Eli's grin widens and he shakes his head, tossing his sister a week. "Good driving, Speedy. I made some good money on you tonight."

Alec twists his head to look down at Ryan, hearing her question. "Mmm... I'd say it was pretty good. Could be better though." Slipping his arms around her too, he leans in for a nice long kiss before pulling away. "Now that's better. Congratulations, Ry."

Eli hangs back a little, observing. He had a strange feeling in his gut. Couldn't quite pinpoint it, but it was there. Had been since Alec had arrived on the scene. He says nothing though, and just lets Ryan have her celebration. She deserved it.

Alec glances around at all the other people and the cars. There were a whole lot of things here that were awfully tempting. If he didn't have an arm around Ryan, he would probably already be into something he could get arrested for. Getting his attention back to her, he gives her a bit of a squeeze. "One of these nights I might have to tag along. See what the big deal is."

Eli snickers. "She doesn't let anybody ride with her when she's in the zone."

Alec is about to respond, when his attention is diverted, along with everyone else's.

Amidst the noisy crowd, a new sound had emerged. But it wasn't a revving engine. It was a siren. It wasn't a full wail, but enough of a bleep to get people to move out of the way and realize who was there.

Some people scatter, not wanting to be caught with some of the things they'd brought with them to this secluded location. Some try to slip into the shadows, knowing they can't be caught, but wanting to see what happens. Most stay, knowing that the cops tolerated their racing out here, in order to keep them off the city streets.

It wasn't a normal police car though. It was a black pickup with a single flashing red and blue light. And the officer wasn't a regular police officer. He was in plain clothes, but wore a sidearm, and his badge was unique.

Jason scans the crowd, his facial expression of one who was in no mood for games. He'd been called away from his date with Katie and he was not happy about it. Holding up his badge, he addresses the curious few who had gathered around him. "I'm looking for Alec Banks - has anyone seen him here tonight?" With no response, his eyes narrow. "I was told he was here. If no one's gonna help me, then stay out of my way while I find him myself."
I get a tip and I still have to go on a wild goose chase. Why me? Con would have been a good pick for this one.

Alec is still standing with Ryan a short ways away as he hears Jason's voice. A curse is muttered under his breath. "That was fast." He glances down at her and sighs. "I guess I forgot to mention the part about me ducking security at TJY to get here."

It was suddenly very obvious that Reese had not given him extra time today, but he'd taken it anyway.

Eli quirks an eyebrow. "Guess they don't tolerate that sort of thing, huh?"

"Unfortunately. Looks like one of the top dogs has come to take me in. And just when I was starting to have fun." Though Alec's words were a bit humorous, his tone indicated that he was not happy. He'd been giving Reese what he wanted lately, but the whole deal was growing old and Alec was getting tired of it. His freedom was still just out of reach.

Dani grins as she licks wing sauce off her fingers, completely stuffed from eating so much. Being pulled closer to Dalton to receive the kiss to the head, her grin widens. "Nah, I'm not too good to you," she argues.

Cleaning up with a napkin and leaving everything on the table for now, she scoots back on the couch and turns to face Dalton, letting the movie get lost in the background. Her eyes sparkle teasingly. "I can try though."

Taking his shirt collar to pull him to her, she presses her lips to his for a long moment before drawing back and searching his eyes. Looking down then back up again, she bites her lip, contemplating whether she should or shouldn't. Throwing caution to the wind, she shifts around a little more, slipping one leg over Dalton's so she could sit on his lap, facing him. They could replay the movie parts they missed later.

Slipping her hands around his neck, she looks into his eyes before resting her forehead against his. "You're way too comfortable," she murmurs. "You might not get rid of me." Moving her face down again, her lips find his once more and this time she lets the moment continue, allowing passion into her kiss.

Leo focuses on the task at hand and gives a little scoff. "I've had better days," he responds. Marking on the wall with a pencil and ruler, he shakes his head. "This one downright sucked."

Turning a little to see Cassy, he gives a shrug. "Things were okay 'til Miss "I'm gonna dump you for another guy" showed up with the other guy. It wasn't so great. But... it's over. Whatever. I'm still trying to move on. And now..." He looks back to the wall. "We got mirrors to hang and that's a much more interesting subject."

For the next few hours, the work persisted. It was a struggle with just the two of them and by the time the hours had passed, Leo was hot and sweaty, having downed several cans of pop along with the pizza Cassy had ordered. He was determined to finish the job though, so even after it was quite dark out, he insisted on continuing.

Once the last mirror was up on the wall though, it was worth it. Standing back and surveying their handiwork, Leo falls onto the floor, lying flat out on his back. He was going to be sore tomorrow. But it was worth it. "I don't think I can move," he mumbles to Cassy. "If you got a pillow I think I could just stay right here."

Grinning, he turns his head but doesn't get up. "Job well done. You'll have this place running in no time."

Laugh

Lost in her own land of being fast a sleep Hope doesn't even feel the first jolt from Scott. She seemed so at peace herself sleeping there with Scott.

But as his scream shatters the dark Hope jerks up from the couch not even being able to react till Scott is off the couch. Getting her own bearings and hearing the crashing sound as Scott was off the couch and stumbling all over things Hope stands.

"Scott...its ok."

Watching himself get slammed into the wall and sink to the door Hope gives a jump but it quick to go over to Scott. Going down to her knees to be at eye level to him Hope reaches out her hand to lay it on top of his gently.

"Scott....its ok...it was just a dream. It's me Hope Scott, it was just a dream your safe."

Watching her brother and Alec as they interact Ryan wasn't sure how it was going to go with them. Just keeping her arm around Alec's wast. She wanted her brother to approve it would make it so much easier.

Finally hearing her brothers comment Ryan's arm drops from Alec's wast. The other night was a close one but she had lost. Her mind had just been full of what was going on and the loneliness she was feeling but now having her bother and Alec here made her feel confidant, she could win today.

"That day we don't talk about, it was a fluke. I'm back full force and ready to kick butt. I'll see you guys on the flip side."

Ryan gives her brother a hug and than runs her hand down the side of Alec's face happy he was here to watch. Getting into her car and puling away Ryan gets to the starting line.

...And like Ryan said she the race was over and she had won. It was close so close no one could even tell who would win, it seemed to change so much. But in the last leg Ryan hit the gas her mind was clear her foot heavy and she had won.

Engine smoking and the smell of burned rubber hung in the air. Collecting her victory, and signing a few magazines it was no time that Ryan was trying to find her brother and Alec again.

Finally spotting them the grin on her face was huge as she made her way over to them. Slinging her arm around Alec's shoulder and panted for air. Her face flush from the adrenaline rush.

"See I told you I'd win Eli. So what did you think of your first street race?"

Finally settling down with Dani Dalton was completely comfortable on the couch as he had been many times before. Saying a prayer and than digging into the pizza and wings while the movie started to roll Dalton munched away.

Finished with the pizza Dalton looks to Dani whipping his mouth at the mention of cookies. Leaning back on the couch and pulling her two him he kiss the top of her head.

"Your to good to me you know that!"

He was so comfortable here, with Dani in his arms. She meant so much to him, and kept him feeling like he was needed to take care of someone.

Hearing Leo say she wasn't useless was nice. It was something she really needed to hear right now after being burned. Knowing her friend, who hadn't seen her in so long didn't think she was really was something nice.

Listing to Leo's directions and tasking it in Cassy makes sure she took everything in so she new what to do. Laughing as Leo moon walked over to her Cassy rolls her head back before moving away a little to go to the tool box.

"Your just a silly as every Leo...I like it."

Pulling some pencils from the tool box Cassy holds one out for Leo before going to the wall to start making where the mirrors went. Consternating the best she could Cassy swayed a little to the music herself before finally talking again.

"So how did the rest of your day go? Good?"

Moonwalk

Scott is oblivious to Hope moving around, caught up in a world of dreams and deep sleep. Leaning on her, his mind gets lost in the shadows that came upon him almost every night now. The dreams always started out like any other dream... no emotions were attached. Then something would go horribly wrong. He would see faces of men he never met but knew every detail of their Agency profiles. They would chase after the innocent. Gunfire would ring in his ears. He would be chased down with the rest of them, herded and fired upon. Then he would be in a room, all alone. There was chaos in the streets. He had to find a way out. His heart pumped harder and faster.

Scott gives a little jolt on the couch, still lost in sleep. Domino looks up at him and give a little whine, knowing the signs. Slipping from between him and Hope, she jumps off the couch and goes several feet away to sit and watch, knowing if she stayed, she'd wind up getting shoved off by her master.

There was always one door to escape. Whether he was in a warehouse, abandoned building, library or elegant house, there was always one way to get away. He would aim for it, suddenly only feet from an attacker. Sweat would pour down the sides of his face and he would realize that he'd been shot. Blood would be on his hands. Was it his or someone else's? He would turn to his right and see a young woman huddled in a corner, shaking, skin and bones, so cold and so sick. She would be beaten, abused and taken advantage of right in front of his eyes. But if he strayed off his path to try and save her, he would get no where, only getting farther away as if he were running in place. Then finally, he would realize she moved no more. Still needing to escape the chaos, he would finally find the door. Down, down, down into the pit of a dark basement. His attacker still behind him. Then he'd see it. His way out. But only feet from freedom, there would be an incredible roar, deafening anyone near. Then the blinding light and immense heat. The bomb had gone off.

Scott's scream shatters the silence of his house as he flies from the couch. He wasn't in his bedroom with a clear pathway though, and totally disoriented, he falls forward, catching the coffee table with his leg. Stumbling in the dark, he knocks things over and slams into the wall by the entertainment center, sinking down in the corner to hold himself tightly as his whole body shakes, his heart racing.

Alec grins and slips his arms around Ryan as she comes in for a kiss, not having known if she would give him the attention in this crowd or not, but pleased that she did. "Yeah well... an animal can't stay in a cage forever, right?"

Turning around with her, he keeps an arm around her waist, giving a nod to Eli. "Hey. Heard a lot about you."

Eli cocks his head a little, intrigued by his sister's behavior around this man. For someone she hadn't known all that long... she certainly did seem attached to him. No wonder she'd dumped Leo. "Well... I hope it's been good."

"I think it has."

"I've heard a lot about you too," Eli muses.

Alec purses his lips in thought. "I don't think I better ask about the good or bad on that one."

Eli chuckles and shakes his head. "You better not. Welcome to the races. Watch yourself around here - newcomers stick out like a sore thumb."

"You speak from experience."

"I got sore knuckles along with the thumb."

"Ah." Alec wriggles his fingers along Ryan's ribs teasingly, still talking to Eli. "I think I'll be alright."

The pause that follows is made up of a short staredown as each man sizes the other up, trying to figure him out. Eli finally looks back to his sister. "You gonna stand around all day or you gonna get in line and show these punks your loss the other night was not a foretelling of the future?"

Dani blushes slightly as she grins up at Dalton and accepts the flowers, breathing in deeply their sweet scent. "Mmm you're too sweet, you know that?"

Standing on her tiptoes, she tugs on Dalton's shirt so he'll bend even closer so she can reach his lips with hers, giving him a soft kiss. "Thank you."

Spinning around, she rummages in the cupboards to find a vase, making sure the flowers are in water before getting out plates and a stack of napkins. "Alright... movie time." Smiling, she heads into the living room, making sure Dalton is right behind her. Getting settled on the couch, they spread out the food on the coffee table so everything is easy to get at while they watch their movie. Dani missed her brother, but she had to admit that having the place to themselves was nice. "Okay...." She searches the remote control. "There we go. Play." She giggles. "I never have gotten used to where things are on this remote."

Grabbing a piece of pizza, and some wings, she settles back Indian style on the couch. "Oh, oh... and I made cookies today too so we have some dessert."

Leo laughs. "No rap. Not a problem." As Cassy goes to order the pizza, he heads to the radio, pulling it out from the the corner then finding a station that played rocks hits, new and old. Bobbing his head a little bit, he turns up the volume and goes back over to the mirrors to survey what needed to be done. After the day he'd had, it was a nice distraction.

Joined up by Cassy again, he looks down at her, giving a bit of a smirk. "Cassy - no one on this team is useless... ever."

Wandering over to some of the supplies he nods absentmindedly. "Mm-hmm... we got everything we need. We'll utilize your level to make sure we get everything straight since there's just the two of us. Let's mark out where each mirror will go then get the glue ready."

Tapping his feet to the rock music, he moonwalks back to her, tossing his head to the side. "Leo's mirror hanging at your service!"

Might not live!

Getting comfortable on the couch with Scott Hope cuddle close to him with Domino next to her. Hope wrapped her arm around Scott not caring to much if it was her holding him, and not the other way around.

As Scott drew quiet Hope took note he was sleeping and he looked peaceful. Not bothering him she continues to watch the rest of the movie. Finally the credits roll and Hope gently gets off the couch. Shutting the movie off, she takes there bowls from the ice cream to the kitchen.

Making her way back to the living room once again Hope grabs a blanket and gets back on the couch with Domino and Scott. Snuggling next to him once more. It was late, and she didn't want to wake him to leave so at least until he woke Hope would stay with him. Pulling the blanket over herself and Scott it wasn't long before Hope was out too.

Stumbling forward a little as she received the bump to the knee a grin forms on her face before she even turned around already knowing who it was. Looking up at her brother her eyes meet his giving him a nod that it was ok, she new who this was.

"You know, you really should do that when my brother is standing right here. You might not live to actually see me race."

Turning around the grin still on her face, and the fire in her eyes like any other time she saw him Ryan puts her arms around Alec's neck leaning in for a kiss that lingered a few moments before pulling away.

"Look like Reese did let you out of the cage for a little while longer huh?"

Stepping back the grin still on her face she turns to her bother. Holding her hand out to him, and than back to Alec.

"Eli this is the one and only Alec, Alec this is my older brother Eli."

Stepping inside and going to the kitchen Dalton gives a hearty laugh shaking his head. Putting the pizza and wings down He pulls Dani over to him, her back against his chest. Leaning his head down so it was by her ear. Bringing the flowers around to the front of her.

"Well that girl behind the counter I don't know she was giving me eyes. Don't worry I told her to stop because my girlfriend wouldn't take to kindly to it. Unfortunately she laughed and called me a freak. I think it was just my size she was staring at. Anyways these flowers are for you, the most beautiful woman in Nevada."

Giving a laugh and seeing Leo was still ready to help Cassy nods to over in the courner were an older radio almost an antique sat.

"The door sticks a little so you need to lift up and open. I only have one request in music though..no rap. Let me order the pizza I'll be right back."

Leaning the studio area Cassy goes behind the desk pulling out the phone book and dialing the number for the pizza place.

"Yeah...large cheese and mushroom pizza, twenty-four wings, and some pepsi...forty-five minutes ok....yeah...yep just come on...just follow the music...ok...thanks."

Coming back into the studio area Cassy carried the phone with her setting it down by the wall. Giving a smile and a nod to Leo she couldn't help but laugh a little. Something told her this was going to be a lot of fun, spending this time with Leo.

"Soooo...do you want ladder hold the mirror glue duty, or no ladder on the ground hold the mirror duty?"

Letting out a sigh and shaking her head.

"Leo...I have to be honest with you. I have no idea what I am doing. I watched the guys work a little so I know some but not enough. I hope you know, and if you do can you show me how to do it so I dont feel useless?"

3/11/10

Asleep

Leo smiles as he's led around by Cassy, finally able to be distracted by something. He takes in all the sights and smells, feeling quite at home in these surroundings. Ambling behind her into the studio, he surveys the walls and the mirrors.

Grinning a little at the hope in Cassy's eyes, he shakes his head in amusement. "As if I could say no to that look." He chuckles and glances back to the mirrors. "I think we can handle it."

Shedding his jacket, Leo tosses it to one side and rubs his hands together. "Alright. I'm hungry for pizza so let's get this show on the road. Please tell me you have a radio though. We've gotta have music or else you'll be witness to one lethargic helper."

Bouncing to the door, Dani opens it wide, her hair being a little unruly and getting in her face today. "Hi!"

Gesturing for Dalton to come in, she shut the door behind him and follows to the living room, her stomach growling at the smell of the food. Spotting the flowers in Dalton's hand, she starts to grin, her eyes twinkling. "Aw, the people at the gas station much like you very much to give you flowers. How sweet of them."

Eli hugs his sister back, not caring a bit at showing her affection in public. He had too much respect for anybody to even think about teasing them. Hearing about the cake, he quirks an eyebrow. "I... did happen to notice it was gone, yes." He blinks a little. "You apparently had quite the appetite today."

A short ways away, a newcomer walks slowly around the cars and people, his eyes taking in everything around him. Though no one knew him, no one approached him either. His shoulders were square and the look in his eye was one that no one wanted to confront. Alec searches for the one person and car that would be familiar, scanning the crowd.

Finally spotting Ryan, he swings around to come up behind her, seeing the man she was talking to. He knew this had to be Eli... there was definitely a family resemblance, and the way they were chatting with relaxed body language gave it away. Alec puts a finger to his lips, motioning Eli to say nothing.

Approaching from behind, he stands behind Ryan and gives her a nudge to the back of the knees. "What? I came all this way just to see you standing around and talking?"

Scott manages a smile and nod. "Okay, sounds good." Eventually he gives up trying to eat anything more and takes his plate to the counter, not wanting to make it obvious how much food had been left.

Once everything was cleaned up and they'd gone to the living room, he settles down on the couch with Hope and Domino to watch the movie. Though he smiled a the funny parts and maybe chuckled once in a while, it was apparent that he wasn't getting into the comedy as much as he usually did. Half an hour into it though and anyone would realize why he'd grown quiet.

Leaned back, Scott's eyes had fallen shut and sleep had taken over.

Mirrors

Setting a few items on the shelfs and at least getting the products she could put up on her own up it was a start. Her knee was a little extra sore tonight after doing and therapy but she did her best to just try and ignore it for now. Leo was coming to help and her couldn't crap out now.

Hearing the loud knock on the metal doors Cassy gives a little jump being so lost in what she was doing she had lost track of time. Knowing it was Leo though the feeling pass as she goes and opens the door.

"Well I'll be, you did end up coming after all. Thanks so much again."

Stepping to the side a little Cassy leaves room for Leo to come in as she closed the door behind him.

"I figure I would give you a quick tour of the place so you know where you gone, I'd order the pizza, and than we can start working until they food got here."

Cassy was obviously excited to having Leo's help not to mention the twinkle of passion that shown in her eyes for the studio.

"This is the waiting room. Parents can wait for there kids, other wait for there lessons to start."

The first room was easy to tell it was a lobby, Chairs were set up to both sides of the wall along with shelfs that held dance shoes, tights, and attire for younger kids, to adult sizes as well. A large desk, with cash register was straight ahead and than on the left and right side, men and woman bathroom.

"Than over here, its far from done but its where you come in to help me, is the studio. You don't have to worry about taking your shoes off with the floor. The whole thing is going to be replaces once the rest of the mirrors and what not are up."

Entering into the much larger room, windows lined the wall straight on. White curtains covering them up along with shades for privacy. On the left side was a beam that stretched across the wall. A dark red oak color rich with color as if it had just been finished. The right wall had the start to being covered in mirrors that stretched from the floor up to the ceiling.

Stopping in front of the mirrors Cassy looks at them for a long moment before half turning to see Leo smiling again.

"The guys that were putting up the mirrors quit on me this morning. They said I was being to picky and didn't seem to understand why they had to be straight. So thats out project tonight, I was hopping you could help me up the rest of the mirrors up. They are way to heavy for one person, specially when one is cripple."

Cassy gives a small chuckle as she completely turns to Leo her hands folded in front of her. She new it was a lot to ask but she was hopping Leo wouldn't mind.

Stopping at the gas station to pick up the pizza and wings Dalton pulls out his phone. Dialing Dani's number he waits to hear her sweet voice.

"Hey Baby, I am getting the pizza's now. I should be there in five minutes."

Giving a smile, hanging up and getting the pizza Dalton is right on time five minutes later giving a strong knock on the. Standing outside with food and pop in hand he waits at the door for Dani. In his other hand was a little extra surprise of flowers for her.

Leaning up from her engine and seeing her brother a smile spreads across Ryan's face. Tonight she donned her own leather jacket, tight jeans, and her hair was tied back in a low ponytail to stay out of her face, a few lose strands falling in her eyes.

"Or, it was no normal than any other day lately. When am I not up to race?"

Ryan throw her brother an odd look as if he should know better than think something was wrong enough for her not to race. This was her out, her rush where she could lose her mind.

Finally throwing the rage down Ryan moves around the car and gives her brother a hug. This was the first time today seeing him. She'd left a little earlier than normal to get to the race track just missing her brother, so the hug was a little extra tight.

Pulling away Ryan gives a grin as she looks up at her brother folding her arms across her chest and giving a small laugh an unknown humor glimmering in her eyes.

"I hope you didn't go home and look for the chocolate cake...because..there is none. Finished it off earlier today."

Giving a smile at Scott from the other side of the table Hope takes another bit of her dinner. So far the night had been pretty good with Scott. Quiet but good non the less. Taking note Scott didn't eat much Hope didnt say anything. At least he was trying to eat a little, that was a good thing.

"Well I figured a movie that can make us laugh would be good so I picked out Robin Hood Men in Tights and there is ice cream too we can pig out on."

No appetite

Dani smirks and reaches over to whack Dalton's arm. "No." She rolls the chair closer to show him the movie. "It's the one you wanted to see."

Grinning, she rolls her eyes. "As for the rare mood, maybe it's because I got out of work early."

Swiveling the chair a little, her eyes dance. "Okay. My place. Sounds good. I'm sure you have to get back to work, so I'll leave you to it." Standing up, she bends down to give Dalton's forehead a kiss. "Don't work too hard. Call me when you get out so know when to expect you."

The day moves on, too slowly for some, to quick for others. As far as the auto shop went, things seemed to be quieter than normal in the afternoon. Leo spoke little to the guys and said not a word to Ryan for the rest of the day. Once it was time to leave, he hit the time clock and left without so much as a bye to anyone still there. Going home first, he changed his clothes, and almost considered calling Cassy and backing out of tonight. He wasn't much in the mood for company tonight, let along being good company himself. But he knew she needed the help and he'd said yes, so he doesn't call. Instead, he follows her directions, making it to her new studio in good time.

Parking alongside the curb, Leo takes a deep breath, letting it out slowly. He was in a downright sour mood and needed to get over it quickly. Cassy was too nice for him to be grouchy with her.

Finally getting out of his car, he sees the truck and wanders to the building's front door, giving it a hearty knock.

Dani stretches and yawns on the couch, having fallen into a nap that afternoon after getting things ready for Dalton to come over. She'd gotten way too comfortable and just hadn't been able to pass up a quick sleep. Now though, she knew Dalton would be arriving soon so she better get up and moving. Just... five more minutes.

A motorcycle engine revs as pulls slowly up to that night's gathering. Eli steers around the crowd, finding a good spot to park up near the action. Cutting the engine, he puts his kickstand down and takes off his helmet, shaking out his hair.

Standing up, his leather jacket and chaps creak a little, and he looks around for his sister. Spotting her car, he wanders through the people, nodding or waving to others who acknowledged his presence. Ever since taking on Roth, he had quite the nice respect going on around here, making it a nice place to hang out on race nights.

Finding his sister, he leans against her car casually. "Hey, Speedy. Heard you had an interesting day. You up for tonight?"

Scott liked Hope's cooking. He really did. But his appetite just didn't want anything. Sitting at his little kitchen table, he plays with some of his food before forcing himself to eat a little bit for Hope's sake. He didn't want her to think he didn't like it.

Looking over to her, he tries to make it quickly through the meal. "Did you decide what movie you wanted to watch?"

At least his house was cleaned up better than it had been earlier. Pictures weren't strewn everywhere. It was messier than normal though and he just hoped that Hope hadn't noticed.

Saved you

Looking up from his computer at Dani Dalton quirks an eyebrow at her good moon. Not that Dani wasn't in a good mood often just something today was different. Looking down at the computer again Dalton types in a few things. Wish Scott gone things were quiet, things were lonely the office was...bear. He missed his little buddy.

"Your in rare form today."

Looking up again his mouth turns up into a bawd smile. He liked it when Dani came to see him, and when she was so excited about spending time with him. It really did make Dalton feel good.

"How about your place tonight its more comfortable there, and I'll be up the pizza and wings on the way. What movie is this anyways? Is it a girly gonna make me cry one?"

Dalton's voice had a teasing hint to it though Dani new good and well he wasn't like a normal guy, he actually liked watching chick flicks. Though it was rare to see him cry over them.

A look pass through Ryan's eyes at Leo's comment, a mixture of being hurt, and irritation with the whole situation. Receiving the kiss from Alec and watching him walk away Ryan looks back to Leo and shakes her head.

"Think what you want Leo but I just saved you from getting your face smashed in because you wanted to start a fight and take the first swing."

Taking her jacket off so she could get back to work Ryan stops again and lets out a sigh.

"As for telling Darrel be my guest in telling him Leo was here with me, but Alec doesn't steal anymore, and all he was doing here was walking me inside. He made no threats what so ever and would of left in a few seconds if you had just left him alone."

Not wanting to deal with this anymore after having a nice lunch Ryan looks to Axel and gives a shake of her head. She really didn't want to talk about what had just happened, maybe later. Axel was her friend and she could talk to him about anything but would he be able to understand Alec was changing or would he be against her too?

Going back to her car Ryan starting to tinker with the engine. She needed to get this done asap so she could leave a little bit early to get ready for the race tonight.

Luck of the draw I guess. I'm sorry Reese stuck you with babysitting Alec J.

Katie sits at her desk hard at work. Being back was nice, it felt good to be working again even if there was a huge mountain of paper work waiting for her. It gave her all the more to considerate on and get done.

At least he's not trying to run away anymore so you would have to chase him.

Katie pulls on Jason's humor emotions her teasing words being pushed to him.

Tide you over

Having Ryan step in between them, Leo aims an icy glare at her. "I was so wrong about you."

Watching them, Alec's smile is gone, replaced by a not-so-happy expression, but he doesn't step in again. It wasn't worth it. Nodding to Ryan, he backs off. "Yeah... if I can convince Reese to let me out for a while, I'll find my way there."

Ignoring Leo, he puts a hand to Ryan's face, leaning in to kiss her lips. "To tide you over." He winks and finally turns around, heading outside.

Leo's angry stare watches him leave, then snaps back to Ryan. "Darrel is going to hear about this," he threatens. "He won't be so quick to let a thief back in this shop."

Axel is sitting quietly in one of the corners, having observed the entire scene unfold. He remains silent though, knowing what was and wasn't his business. If Ryan brought up the subject to him, he might give his two cents worth, but until then, he should just stay out of it.

Alec ambles to Jason's truck and gets in, going for his seatbelt.

"You're late," Jason mutters.

"So?"

"So it's on my head." Jason spins gravel, leaving the parking lot and hitting the road. "If I woulda known you were gonna sneak off with a girl, I wouldn't have brought you."

"Hey - there was no sneaking," Alec defends. "You coulda come with. Though you mighta had more of an experience than you wanted."

Jason rolls his eyes. "I don't wanna know, alright? Let's just get you to the station and hope Brown is in good humor today." He gives Alec a sidelong glance. "Is that the shirt you were wearing earlier?"

"Nope." Alec grins slyly. "I just needed a clean one after all the-"

Jason holds up his hand. "Forget I asked."

Dani flops down into the empty chair behind Dalton's desk and holds up the movie she'd rented that he'd been wanting to see. She smiles from ear to ear, not even giving him a formal greeting after just dropping by. "Your place or mine tonight?"

She swivels in the chair, still grinning. "Pizza and wings too."

Crazy

Getting back to the stop and going inside with Alec, Ryan couldn't but feel a tiny bit of pride having a man walk her back to work. Even if it was because he didn't want to go back to Jason yet it still felt nice.

Turning to tell Alec she might see him later at the race if he can get away she stops hearing Leo's voice and seeing him coming over them them. Rolling her eyes to herself she stays standing next to Alec with her arms crossed over her chest.

Just watching them Ryan's own irritation shown on her face. This was rediculace and Alec wasn't doing anything wrong.

"Leo, stop..he's here because I said he can be here. He's not doing anything wrong but being a gentlemen and walking me inside so chill out."

Going to turn back to Alec again Ryan stops once more as Leo continues. Letting out a heavy sigh Ryan is about to say more then Leo's fist goes flying at Alec. Seeing Alec moves out of the way and miss it Ryan's eyes widen.

"Leo..."

Moving quickly herself she steps between Alec and Leo putting her hand on Leo's chest turning to look at Alec to make sure he was ok, before looking back to Leo again.

"Are you crazy Leo...are you insane? Stop acting like this."

Turning to Alec again Ryan gives a nod to him and a smile smile.

"Alec, Jason is waiting...I'll see you tonight at the race ok?"

Fist

"Yeah.... I'm coming." Alec bends down to retie a shoelace then sprints after Ryan. Once they're out the door, he follows to her car again, lapsing into quietness on the way back to the auto shop. Everything was so different now. Even individual circumstances in the same day. One minute he was in TJY's custody, the next he was free for an hour. One minute, he was being totally ridiculous with Ryan, the next it was back to reality and seriousness. He wasn't sure if he liked that about life now or not.

Arriving back at the auto shop, he throws Ryan a sidelong glance and half a grin. "Let me walk you in... I don't want to face Jason yet." As if he were scared of Jason. He wasn't a bit, but at the moment, he wasn't ready to let Jason be in charge quite yet. And if he took his time, it would prove his point.

He gets out with Ryan and wanders into the shop with her, through the open bay door where the other guys were working. Some had taken lunch breaks and were back already. Jed had left late and wasn't even back yet.

Jason watches from the end of the parking lot, sighing and rolling his eyes as he sees Alec walking back in with Ryan. They were already late.

I hate being a babysitter. How did I wind up with this task anyway?

Leo glances up from his car and sees Alec following Ryan into the shop. The hair on the back of his neck stands up and he straightens, waiting to see if Alec would turn around and leave right away, or linger. Unfortunately, it was the latter. Leo's anger started to boil for more than one reason. Besides his personal feelings about Ryan and that whole mess, this guy was a crook. Darrel was gone and Leo wanted no part in having Alec around the same shop he'd tried to rob at one time.

Ambling around the car, he wipes his hands on a rag, clearly irritated as he approaches Ryan and Alec. "Well, Ryan... I see you brought your friend." He gives Alec a once over. "You're not welcome here," he states flatly.

Alec quirks an eyebrow, cocking his head. "I think I remember you..." He looks to Leo's uniform. "Leo."

"You should," Leo retorts. "Jaw feeling better?"

"Mmm..." Alec rubs his chin thoughtfully, totally ignoring Leo's irritated tone. "Yeah. After spending some time with this girl, everything feels better."

Leo can feel his whole body tense. "Get out," he hisses.

"I'm not gonna steal anything." Alec holds out his arms and gives a short laugh. "Settle down."

"You've already stolen enough," Leo returns coldly.

Understanding flickers in Alec's eyes and he looks to Ryan and Leo again. "Ahhh...." His mouth quirks into an amused grin again. "You're the ex, aren't you?"

Leo's hand balls up at his side, his jaw tightening. "I've told you to get out twice now," he warns. "We don't want thieves in our shop. Now go before I call you in for harassment."

"Who am I harassing?" Alec laughs again. "I walk here all calm and-"

Leo's fist comes flying in Alec's direction. Alec is trained too well though, and ducks, giving Leo's fist nothing but air to hit. "Heeeey, now that was uncalled for." His tone is still laced with amusement though his eyes warn that he's getting fed up.

Jingling

Receiving the kiss that was softer than all the rest, sent a different emotion in Ryan. It was the racing heart, and emotions the coursed through her but it was in a softer way. Maybe thats what was different about Alec, He could be rough, cocky, and soft at the same time balancing each other out.

As the kiss ends Ryan takes a few steps away from Alec and cocks her head a little as he puts the shirt on. Today had been a good day, and if he ended up making it to the race tonight that would be fun to.

"As long as Eli doesn't come home from work early, our secret is safe."

Exiting the living room and grabbing her keys Ryan leans around the wall back into the living room giving a smile and jingling her keys.

"The bus is moving out, I don't want to hold you any longer and Jason get mad so they wont let you out for experiments again."

Ryan disappears around the wall heading for the door again, waiting there for Alec to join her.

Secret

Feeling Ryan's hands move over his skin, Alec closes his eyes for a moment, taking a deep breath and smelling her shampoo. Her words of thanks make him pull back slightly and look down into her eyes, searching for the meaning... the sincerity. She was really thankful he'd come? Really? Honesty shone in her gaze. She was.

It was another new sensation. It was one thing for a woman to enjoy his company then part ways and say thanks for the good time, but for Ryan to be thankful for a day like this... when all they'd done was play around and be ridiculous... he didn't know someone could be grateful for that. He was, but he had thought he was the unique one. Maybe... she didn't need what all the other women had been after in order to want his company. It felt... different. It felt... good.

"I don't know," he replies softly. "I'm beginning to think you're what I needed too." His tone was serious, but almost confused as if he thought he might be crazy or that these feelings were so foreign to him.

Leaning down once more, his kiss is gentler this time, his hand holding her palm to his chest where his heart thumped. Pulling away, he finally relents and accepts the shirt, slipping it on over his head. "Okay.... I guess I'm ready now." He glances to the kitchen where he knew she'd have to clean up later. "Our little secret."

Deffintly

Being pulled to Alec Ryan wraps her arms around his wast. Just feeling his muscles under her touch. Returning the quick kiss Ryan pulls away a little to look up into Alec's eyes.

"I don't want you to go ether."

Her words were a whisper, she'd enjoyed today very much, and had enjoyed being free with Alec. Would there be more times like this? When Alec got out would the world really be theres like he had said? Ryan could only hope.

"Guess I should get you back though."

Absentmindedly Ryan runs her hands along Alec's back till them move to his side. On the left her fingers run over something rough that she could guess was a scar. Continuing to run her fingers along her her other hand finds the front of his chest, her fingers just resting there. Looking up in to Alec's eyes she'd drawn into them for a moment.

"Thank you, for coming to me today. Your defiantly what I needed."

Just as sweet

Alec grins a little, running a finger over the faces in the photo. "You were cute," he teases.

Setting the frame back down, he reaches for the shirt, but takes Ryan's hand along with it, pulling her to him. "Tell me we have to leave," he begs. "I don't want to."

Tilting his head, he leans in to give her a kiss, wrapping his arms around her. "Mmm.... no whipped cream, but just as sweet." He runs a hand through her damp hair, just looking down into her eyes. "Better say goodbye now," he warns softly. "Jason is going to kill me for getting back so late."

Scott nods and slides from his seat to stand. "Yeah... yeah, I was working on something earlier I want to finish up. And if you're coming over, I better clean up - I have stuff all over the place."

Bending down, he gives her a last kiss. "I'll see you later then."

Gawknig

Hope gives a little scoff and a smile. She wanted to stay here longer with Scott if he was going to stay.

"I am working out of my house right now. I couldn't stand being in the room thats not really an office any longer. If anyone needs me they know my number. If you need to go though I understand."

Hope gives a small nod again the smile still on her face. She was happy that tonight she would be able to spend time with Scott. It would be nice to do that again and she hoped there would be more time and not another ten days.

Giving a laugh as she is swatted out of the kitchen Ryan heads up the small set of steps trying her best not to get cake and whip cream all over alone the way.

Entering her own room first Ryan thought it bed to clean herself up before making her way into her brothers room where she might track a mess. Getting some new clothing out Ryan gives to the bathroom first where she sheds her cloths in a heap and hopes into the showing.

It doesn't take long before Ryan it out of the shower again, dressed and running a comb through her wet hair. Ambling out of the bathroom and into her room once again Ryan throws the cloths in the wash and grabs the black shirt for Alec heading down the steps again.

Glancing into the kitchen quickly and not seeing Alec Ryan turns to head back into the living room. Stopping in the doorway she just stands there not saying anything for a long moment. Ryan new Alec was muscler from when she had run her hands down his shirt, but now seeing him with his shirt on, took her breath away.

Giving a she of her head she enters the room more closely coming up next to Alec looking down at the picture. It was the only one she had of her dad, and so so dear to her. Pointing to the boy in the middle Ryan offers a little information.

"Thats Eli there, and the one on the right thats John and that handsome guy holding me is my dad."

Giving a smile to Alec Ryan holds out the shirt thought she really didn't want him to put it on, or have that she had to go back to work she new both had to go there own way.

"Here you go. I'll let Eli know you have it."

Wandering around... shirtless O.o

Something about Ryan's words struck a chord deep down in Alec. They both had something the other needed. Was that true? Was she actually filling a void? If asked, he would have denied having a void at all... but the thought of not seeing Ryan at all anymore... it did leave a strange pang.

Seeing Ryan try to get up just to fall again sends Alec into another fit of laughter. He didn't know if he'd ever been quite so silly in all his life. A grown man... criminal... murderer... sitting here on the floor covered in food and actually thinking it was funny. It couldn't get much stranger.

Still laughing, he grabs Ryan and pulls her onto his lap, grinning at her. "I guess maybe a meeting with the chief of police does call for attire not of the edible kind."

Leaning in, he gives her a nice long kiss on the lips that tasted oh-so-sweet with all the cake and whipped cream that lingered. He could spend all day with her, but even if his spirit was rebellious, he knew better than to test his luck today. He was already going to be late, but better late than not at all. This meeting with Brown could be his ticket out.

Sighing in surrender, he shifts around to get up and help Ryan up too. Sending her off towards the hallway, he gives her bottom a backhanded whack before she disappears. Still grinning, he shakes his head and goes for the sink. He sheds his shirt that was full of the gooey mess and leans over the sink to rinse not only his face but his hair and neck too - everywhere that had gotten sticky. He knew Ryan was probably getting cleaned up too, since she had to go back to work.

Finally all rinsed off, Alec finds a towel and dries his hair and face. Still alone for the moment, he wanders into the living room to take a look around since he hadn't yet had a chance. He takes note of the fairly-neat room, the shoes over in one corner that must be Eli's, and the nice television set. Ambling over to the couch, he spies a framed picture on the end table. Picking it up, he sees Ryan when she was very young, along with two boys and a man. Their father who had died? Her brothers? He wondered which one was Eli.

"Don't be sorry." Scott sighs. "It's me, I know. I'll plan on your coming over tonight then... Domino will be happy - I think she's missed you too."

Taking note of the time, Scott straightens again, his fingers slipping from Hope's. "I guess you need to get back to work, huh?"

If

Cake, and whip cream going every where Ryan doesn't even care. She would clean up the kitchen later after she got back from work. Eli wasn't meant to be home till closer to her race time anyways so it would give her plenty of time to clean up.

Ending up on the ground with Alec Ryan can't help her roar of laughter seeing Alec laughing made her feel good. He was having a good time, and Ryan was having a good time that was all that mattered at that moment.

Finally panting trying to calm her laughter Ryan leans against the cupboard next to Alec the smile still large on her face. Turning her head slightly to Alec at his question her eyes spark.

"I believe we were trying to figure out if you had, what I needed. And under close examination of this experiment I would say we both have something the other needs in there life. So this experiment was a success."

Falling silent once again and giving Alec a once over Ryan shakes her head. Going to stand up she slips on some whip cream and falls down next to Alec one more giving another laugh.

"If you want to help me up, seeing as I can't do it on my own I'll go get you one of my brothers shirts so you can be half way decent looking for your interview with Brown."

Teehee

Receiving the cake to the face, Alec blinks at Ryan, something twinkling in his eyes, dying to be let out. A grin pulls at his mouth and he leans forward, swiping Ryan's face with his own, to leave behind cake on her as well.

Straightening, he surveys his handiwork, viewing the mixture of whipped cream and cake all over Ryan's face. He knew he must look just as bad. His grin starts to grow, gradually spreading into a full smile. Leaning forward, he licks off some of the sugary treat from Ryan's cheek as some cake falls from his own face. A chuckle starts way down deep, starting to build. Grabbing the can of whipped cream again, neither needed to say it - the war had begun.

The next few minutes was total chaos. Whipped cream flew, cake flew. The small chuckle that had started so faint built up to genuine laughter coming from Alec as he partook in the food fight. Somehow or another, he wound up dragging Ryan from the counter, only to slide on some whipped cream that had ended up on the floor, and he winds up pulling them both down. Cake was everywhere. Whipped cream was everywhere.

Totally out of breath, Alec leans back against the cupboards, still trying to control his laughter. He sprays the can one more time, only to have just a little fluff come out, just increasing the cause for laughing. In the shape Ryan was in, he knew he must look just as bad, if not worse. It was all over his face, in his hair and on his shirt. And he couldn't remember the last time he'd had this much fun. Maybe he remembered how to laugh after all.

Breathing heavily, he finally gains a little bit of control, though doesn't bother trying to get up off the floor. "What was... this experiment again?"
